Sizes for downloads in CC

Hi
What is the file size to download CC and Lightroom?
Also how do I go about loading it onto my laptop as well?
I dont have internet on the laptop.
I dont want to download the files twice.
Am I able to download it and take the files to my laptop?

Hi There,
We would like to inform you that you would not be able to activate the product on your laptop if you do not have Internet connection.
You can try to transfer the Photoshop CC 2014 to your laptop however, you cannot activate without Internet connection.
However, for Lightroom, you have to download Creative Cloud app and download Lightroom from the app itself, else, it might not get activated.
Please find the link to download: Adobe CC 2014 Direct Download Links: Creative Cloud 2014 Release | ProDesignTools
Above mentioned page would provide you information around file size.

  • Maximum message size for download

Hi - I have a problem in that Mail seems to have trouble downloading anything larger than approx 15mb. I occasionally get sent emails that are up to 30mb in size. They reach my mail server at the ISP without issue - it's just mail that chokes on them... Currently I have to use the web control panel from my ISP to access and download the big emails...
Is there a defined maximum size of message that Mail is limited to use?
    Thanks for your help/comments!

    Hi Prakash,
Thanks for the link to the thread. The AD site link configuration is valid but does not account for the required exceptions. E.g User A can send unlimited size message to User B but not to User C.
The thread also mentions the Transport Rule configuration stated in my original post but that configuration has one major flaw. Users can circumvent the control by splitting attachments.

  • Which video size for webpage background?

Hi, my client was interested in having a video run full screen, as background of a webpage, similar to this:
    http://www.shutterstock.com/video/landing/beach
I have never worked on a video project made for the web (other than YouTube), so I was unsure about the size to use for the project/ the size and type to export as from Premiere.
The client wants to use several stock videos. On Shuttershock, you have three options of size for downloading the video as 1)Web 2)SD (852 x 480)  3)HD (1920 x 1080)
My first inclination was to use the Web size (due to bandwidth, etc), but it's only 426x240. I was afraid it'll show as poor quality if set up as the page's entire background. Ideally, something like HD would be great visually, but wouldn't the size of the video be too much to handle as the background of a  webpage (not sure if it's going to be implemented within the html, but I'd imagine so)?
I don't know much about webpage building or anything, so any information would be helpful! Thanks!

The width of the video should match the width of the website page.
eg 960px is a common width for site pages.
    Ask the site designer.

  • Report for download sizes?

    Hi,
I realise  that when viewing each file in DW there is a download size/time info panel at the bottom of the page, but  I'm looking to generate a report of the download size for each page of my website so I can evaluate and compare at a glance. Is this possible ?
    Many thanks in advance

I'm not aware of anything that would give you results for all your pages at once, but you could check each page here:
    http://analyze.websiteoptimization.com
If you use Firefox and have the Web Development toolbar, it's part of the toolbar and very easy to look up each page as you go.

  • Where can I find the file sizes for each application before downloading?

Where can I find the file sizes for each application before downloading? I have limited download (525 MBs/day) because of Hughsnet and I need to know each applications total size before I download.

You can go to the trial page to get an estimated size.  As the Creative Cloud products change over time though this may become less accurate.
If you are on a limited bandwidth account then you may want to consider purchasing a perpetual copy of Creative Suite 6 as opposed to subscribing to the Creative Cloud.

  • How to allocate disk size for each user in iMac?

    Hi folks,
I have iMac (Mac OS X, version 10.7.5) for Family, and each of my family member has account on it.
Now, kids download many large files (several GB size files) and HD is getting full.
So, I'd like to set maximum disk size for each user.
Could you prvide instruction how to configure disk size for each user?
    Regards,
    Hiro

I don't know of any way to do that by user.
I used to partition my HD and that sets a hard limit by partition, but by user? I don't think it can be done.

  • Lightroom 1.4.1:  Reducing File/Image Size for Web/E-Mail

This should be a simple thing.
I need to reduce my file size to upload it into various things on the web and e-mail and what not.  Sometimes it asks for a specific size.
Right now, I'm using the Export function to do this, which means I have to reset the Image Settings each time in order to get to the size required.
Isn't there and easier way to do this, like just type in the image size you want and have the program reset the image proportionately?
Is there a ratio chart for this, like 1000 x 1400 = # of bytes?
This is a function used all the time--I can't believe it's this cumbersome.

    (a)     How do I know I am selecting the correct pixel size for e-mail?  Just keep hunting and pecking until I find the right mix or is there a number combination that works consistently?  And if the latter is correct, what is that number combination.
I just can't believe that reducing the MP size to get it in shape for an e-mail "thumbprint" photo is this tough.  Even with the 'preset', I'd have to set up a preset for every picture because they vary by MP and the scaling seems to change.
There is no "standard" size for sending images via email. Just make it small. There is a save for email preset in recent releases of Lr. You can download the demo and see what that entails.
You don't have to create a preset for each picture. I don't know what you would say that. Yes, the amount it compress varies with the information in the image, but this has always been the case with JPEGs. You don't have to make an image that is exactly some size. You just have to make it small enough for most MTAs and MUAs to handle. Since there is no real standard for this, just make it small enough for you.
Something like 800px on the longest side, 70-80% quality should do it to find the JPEG compression sweet-spot.

  • Staroffice 8 updated ready for download date

When will be available for download the staroffice 8 updated so you don`t have to download the program and the update as separate files?

Yes. Open the App Store log in to your Apple ID, then purchase and download Lion. Note that the download is nearly 4 GBs so it will take quite a while. After it finishes downloading the installer launches automatically, so you should have your computer ready for the installation by doing this first:
Repair the Hard Drive and Permissions
Boot from your Snow Leopard Installer disc. After the installer loads select your language and click on the Continue button. When the menu bar appears select Disk Utility from the Utilities menu. After DU loads select your hard drive entry (mfgr.'s ID and drive size) from the the left side list.  In the DU status area you will see an entry for the S.M.A.R.T. status of the hard drive.  If it does not say "Verified" then the hard drive is failing or failed. (SMART status is not reported on external Firewire or USB drives.) If the drive is "Verified" then select your OS X volume from the list on the left (sub-entry below the drive entry,) click on the First Aid tab, then click on the Repair Disk button. If DU reports any errors that have been fixed, then re-run Repair Disk until no errors are reported. If no errors are reported click on the Repair Permissions button. Wait until the operation completes, then quit DU and return to the installer.
If DU reports errors it cannot fix, then you will need Disk Warrior and/or Tech Tool Pro to repair the drive. If you don't have either of them or if neither of them can fix the drive, then you will need to reformat the drive and reinstall OS X.

  • How to limit file size for FileUpload UI element?

    Hi all,
I'm using the FileUpload UI element in NW2004s SP20.
I want to limit the size of the uploaded file.
The simple option is to load the file to the context, check the size, by using
    InputStream stream = resource.read(false);
    double size = stream.available();
    and report errors if any.
However, I don't want to store huge files in the context or flie system (even temporarily) nor 'spend' network resources for uploading a file that I won't be use...
Is there a way to limit the file size by using some property for the fileUpload UI element in the server?
Is there a way to check the file size before it's uploaded (for example like GMAIL does - checks the file BEFORE the actual upload)
    Regards,
    Omri

    Hi Omri,
"(but this can be checked AFTER the file was uploaded)" - what do you really mean here? I mean your main query is to restrict the file upload if it crosses certain size-limit. What is the use if you check the size after upload?
My problem is the network traffic and the CPU load if users are trying to download huge files..., if the upload is restricted for size this download problem will not come .. correct?
Not sure about the UI element properties has something to restrict the size, and if its really related to Network traffic and CPU utilization, i think you've to check with Basis team to re-sizing the servers to meet this new requirement of upload/download if its not considered before.
Or the last option i could see is to use KM Upload iView if sizing is done with these considerations.
    Thanks,
    MS

You need to download and install an additional program to make the fonts bigger, it does not cost much (€9.95):

  • Adjust Photo Size For Web Gallery

I'm uploading a new Web Gallery as I type this....(although nothing appears to be happening at the moment...I decided against my first couple of efforts and deleted those galleries).
I don't see a way to adjust the size of the photos uploaded to the Web Gallery. As each of the photos I'm uploading is approximately 3MB in size, I was hoping there might be an option to compress each of the photos prior to uploading. Am I missing it?
In iPhoto Help, there's a topic for "Choosing the Appropriate Size For Your Photo". Apparently, this only refers to emailed photos, though?
    Any thoughts on this?

    Mike:
Have you checked on the size of the files uploaded to the web gallery? They are resized to 800 x 600 pixels. If you select the option to have the full sized image downloaded then the max pixel dimension is 3054 pixels in any direction. If the are larger than than the get resized. Additionally the file is compressed. My 2.7 MB file was downsized to 750 KB.
    Do you Twango?
TIP: For insurance against the iPhoto database corruption that many users have experienced I recommend making a backup copy of the Library6.iPhoto database file and keep it current. If problems crop up where iPhoto suddenly can't see any photos or thinks there are no photos in the library, replacing the working Library6.iPhoto file with the backup will often get the library back. By keeping it current I mean backup after each import and/or any serious editing or work on books, slideshows, calendars, cards, etc. That insures that if a problem pops up and you do need to replace the database file, you'll retain all those efforts. It doesn't take long to make the backup and it's good insurance.
I've created an Automator workflow application (requires Tiger), iPhoto dB File Backup, that will copy the selected Library6.iPhoto file from your iPhoto Library folder to the Pictures folder, replacing any previous version of it. It's compatible with iPhoto 08 libraries. iPhoto does not have to be closed to run the application, just idle. You can download it at Toad's Cellar. Be sure to read the Read Me pdf file.

  • What is the suggested pixel sizes for audiobook images?

I know album art is 600 x 600 for music. Does the audiobook format use these same dimensions? Or more of a rectangle size instead of perfect square?
    Thanks!

Are you creating the artwork or getting it from the Internet? If you're downloading it, there's not much consistency in format. Some publishers size the art as if it came from a paperback book cover, others size for CD jewel cases. The more recent stuff is 600x600.
