Sizing an Embedded Video into Web Object

Siziing an Embedded Video into Web Object
I've created a html page and placed a video player in it, I used the link to place it in my Captivate 7 Project by using the Web Object Widget. The problem I am having is getting the size right. I've tried changing the size of the player and widget. it seems to go out of wack.

If I am seeing it correctly, the message in the video box
is reporting that the player has crashed. Reloading the
page should fix it. If your player still does not work
after reloading the page, you can go to the web page
for the player and download the player again.

  • Embedding video into imovie

Can anyone tell me if imove embeds video into imovie project, or does is always need to find the video file to play it?
    thanks

    fryedmeb,
I'm not sure if I completely follow your question, but I'll take a stab at it.
What appears as a single iMovie project file is really a package containing all the necessary media for the project. Video clips, audio clips etc.
It also contains a reference file with instructions on how all the pieces get put together to form the project.
But, at the iMovie project stage, all the media are discrete pieces. "Unembeded" so to speak.
Once you output (Share) your iMoive to, say, a full quality DV QuickTIme file, the movie is then rendered as one self contained file.

  • Embedding Video in web page for iphone

Does anyone know of any good/favorite resources that do a walk-through on how to embed video into a web page so that it plays properly on the iPhone?

  • Embedding video into a slideshow

I read how you can embed a video into a Composition widget, but can you embed it into a Slideshow widget? I have still images and want to incorporate a video as part of the Slideshow and I want to utilize the features of the counter in the Slideshow.
    Thanks!

You can only add images to a Slideshow widget and Composition widgets do not have the Counter option at this time. Not sure if this would be helpful but take a look a the following post for embedding a full-screen background video using outside plugins in Muse - http://forums.adobe.com/message/5410521#5410521.

  • Embeding video into document

    Hello out there!
With all the recent changes i was wondering which is the latest and best way to embed video into a blog type, 2 paragraph document, for posting on a website and uploading to social sites.
    Thanks

The various size options means that you can choose the size that matches the size of other images in your blog bearing in mind that smaller generally means faster loading. Other choices include things like borders and colors all of which depend on the style you have in your blog. These artistic choices only you can make but if you are not sure then make a choice and embed it. If you decide you do not like the look or it needs to be bigger or smaller it is a small matter to delete it and then go back to YouTube to choose another embed option.
    Good luck with it.

  • Embedding video into Projector file

First of all, sorry, I know this question has been asked
before, but I couldnt find an answer in the other threads.
I am looking for a way to embed my mov files into the .exe
projector file so you do not need to include the mov files on the
final disc. The reason I need this is because I am creating an
enchanced DVD, which included DVD footage which you can watch on a
TV, but when the DVD is in a PC, you can click on a button which
launches a projector file. The only prob is that I can only link to
1 file, and this one file is then embedded in the video TS file.
    Hope this makes sense.

You cannot embed video content as such. You may be able to
use a binary io xtra such as
    vList
to create an internal member with the same data as the external
video file, but you will need to write the internal member back out
to the hard disk before Director will be able to play it. You could
    then delete the temporary file.
There are ways to retrieve the media of internal members
(other than scripts) from a protected cast. The strongest
protection you could apply would be encryption to the internal
member. Having said that, during the time the video file is on the
hard disk, a savvy and unscrupulous user could copy it for playback
    elsewhere.
In other words, there is no way to protect your video file
    completely.

  • QT Pro - having problems embedding video into html (IE7)

I have just upgraded to Pro as I need to offer clients some video content on my website. Initially, I want to show still-image slide shows with an audio track. I can make these, and export them for the web no problem. But... I can't get them to work in my html and need some advice.
The poster embeds fine, but when you 'Click to play movie', the page keeps loading with an error, and the movie won't run (in the html page). The larger [17Mb!!!!] 'source' movie runs fine, but if I click on the 'reference' movie (which is in the same folder as the 'source', and just 1K big), I get an error message (202... something about bad atom!). Could this be the cause, I wonder?
I have set up a .js file as per the QT help advice, but I just can't seem to crack this one. Anyone got any ideas? Brain's numb now... and I don't really know where else to look!
Any help would be seriously appreciated... TIA

Your camera is supported and the Apple "Geniuses" dropped the ball telling you that you needed to make an additional purchase.
Your camera records in "standard definition" MPEG-2 format.
I don't know why you're not getting images (or sound, I guess). Try testing the camera under a different User account (helps troubleshooting).

  • Embedding Video into PDF

This is likely an easy answer, but I haven't been able to find an answer either by searching through the Help file or this forum.  Hopefully someone will be able to help me out.
I have been adding FLV files to a PDF, having them launch whenever you select the appropriate place on the map.  This works absolutely wonderful, however I've been unable to figure out to have these files entirely embedded.  If I move the PDF to another computer, the videos won't play as the videos are on another PCs.  Is there a way to truly embed the FLV?

The Multimedia tool in Acrobat X will always embed the files you pick, unless you enter a remote URL in the dialog (i.e. it starts http:// or rtmp://). There is no option to link to a video file stored on your computer (as you would in PowerPoint for example), as the security sandbox in Acrobat and Adobe Reader prevents reading from the local disk.
You can tell they're embedded by looking at the file size. If they're not playing back on another computer, it's a problem with your installation on that computer.

  • Embedding iChat into Web Page

    Hello,
Is there any way to embed the ichat 'buddy list' into a web page?
    Gary

    Hi,
    Umm, Where to start.
Any iChat Buddy List is made up of several things that are show graphically to get the final result.
The Grey metal surround would be all the way around except for the blue and white lines that hold the Buddy info.
iCons at the bottom for starting the Chat(s) could be lost on any Web Page reconstruction.
iChat itself then logs into the servers that you use and displays the options you have selected. (Names, Buddy Pics, Status indicators, Status Message).
These are effectively different queries to the server in question (for one Buddy list)
I learnt/Found the HTML to query if a Buddy is on line and the bits that make it open an AIM Client (iChat has to be told it is the default AIM client)
    The whole thing
    <a href="aim:goim?screenname=ralphjohnsr&message=Hi!,+I+came+from+your+website,ralphjohnsuk."><img align="right" src="http://big.oscar.aol.com/ralphjohnsr?onurl=http://www.ralphjohns.co.uk//images/RalphOn.gif&offurl=http://www.ralphjohns.co.uk//images/RalphOff.gif" alt="Webmaster iChat Online Status Indicator" border="0"></a>
This bit makes it launch iChat and join/start a Chat.
    <a href="aim:goim?screenname=
The bit that follows can be a room name or a Buddy (or myself in this case)
The following bit makes it send a message
    &message=Hi!,+I+came+from+your+website,ralphjohnsuk.
The plus symbols get sent as spaces.
There is a bit about aligning the images to the right and then the Query of the Server if I am on Line.
The response form this will show one of two pictures
    <img align="right" src="http://big.oscar.aol.com/ralphjohnsr?onurl=http://www.ralphjohns.co.uk//images/RalphOn.gif&offurl=http://www.ralphjohns.co.uk//images/RalphOff.gif"
That is followed by an ALT text option.
That is just to produce one Pic to say I am on line or not (with the option to Click and send).
A Whole Buddy list would need more queries.
Now presumably that and the other queries could be transferred to Jabber.
However I have searched in Google to see if there are lists of Jabber Chat rooms to see if the HTML codes are obvious but I can not find any.
The Tokbox model shows that without creating a Buddy Data base it can Query the various servers (you can set up/link to a GoogleTalk Buddy List as well as AIM and others there) so there must be a Query for the Buddy list as a whole.
A dynamic table would be javascript based needing potentially the alternating colours.
You would need two image holders to a line (Status and Buddy pic) not to mention any for Group divisions that may apply.
I would start by grabbing the javascript files from TokBox and seeing if they may any sense about where they are querying.

  • Streaming/Embedding Youtube videos into PDF

    Hi all
My boss wants me to add a youtube video into a PDF document. I am having trouble doing this. I have gotten as far as adding video from file source. However when it comes to adding the youtube url I become stuck.
    Thanks for your help....

    Hello SaBrHM,
Embedding videos into emails is not possible.
You can include a screen shot of the video and link to your site where the video is.

  • Benefits of embedding video

Before I embark on a project embedding video into a PDF, I have a few questions. I am currently using Acrobat 8 Pro and don't want to upgrade and find out what I did wasn't the best way to go about it.
What are the benefits of embedding video into a PDF rather than just posting the content on a Web site? I understand I'd be able to e-mail a PDF, but if someone can receive it in e-mail, shouldn't they be able to access it on the Web as well?
I assume the users will need to have the latest version of Acrobat Reader installed. How many are using the latest version? Is there any way to find out? This is another reason I'm thinking that e-mailing a link to a Web site would be more accessible than e-mailing a PDF they might be unable to read without an update.
I'd love to hear your opinions and recommendations.
    Thank you,
    Jo

I'm sorry, I wasn't clear. Don't focus on the word embed.
My client wants to be able to e-mail something that contains video. I'm thinking, "why not just e-mail a link to a Web site instead."
    So my questions are:
In what kind of scenarios would I want to use video in PDF?
Why would it be a better solution than posting a video on a Web site and sending a link to that?
Will the recipients easily be able to view it, or will they need an upgraded version of Reader?
    I hope that makes sense.

  • Help inserting a flash video into my web page

    Hello!
I'd love some help inserting a flash video into my web page. My web page is hosted by Viviti, templated, and edited online. I can add html to it, and I have the html source for my flash video. I also have uploaded the flash file to the server. Since I am very html illiterate, though, I need some help rewriting the html script so it can be published. There are two problems- firstly, no 'headers' or 'body' allowed in the script- these are already a part of the template. Secondly, I don't know how to rewrite it to refer to the uploaded files. It's also imperative that the full screen mode functions. I've pasted the source code for the flash video here. Please help!!!
    Thanks!

What you basically need to do is copy the sections of content from the code you show into the template (assuming the template already provides the <head> and <body> sections of the page.  So in the head section of what you show, take everything starting with...
    <script language="JavaScript" type="text/javascript">
    all the way down thru...
    </script>
, inclusive (in the head section only), and paste that into the head section of your template.
Similarly, take everything that lies between the <body> ... </body> tags (exclusive of the body tags) and paste it into the body section of your template wherever you plan to display the Flash file.

  • Embedding .swf file into web pages

What's the best way of embedding a flash file into web pages?
After Microsoft introduce something about the active object (need
to click on the Flash file first on IE to activate it) it seems
like the best way is to use 'FlashObject'. Is there any other
    better way? Thanks a lot.

    SWFObject, which
    used to be FlashObject.
