Sizing tool bars and measurements

With my new CC Ilustrator the vertical tool bars and screen measurements are very small - can the size be increased?

Larry:  Thanks I figured it was that way - it seemed they were larger with CS 5 -Alan

I want to restore firefox tool bars so I can have the back icon and my bookmarks accessable. I now have Yahoo tool bar and it does not show file, tools, edit, etc.

In Lion the Library folder is now invisible. To make it permanently visible enter the following in the Terminal application window: chflags nohidden ~/Library and hit the Enter button - 10.7: Un-hide the User Library folder.
To open your domain file in Lion or to switch between multiple domain files Cyclosaurus has provided us with the following script that you can make into an Applescript application with Script Editor. Open Script Editor, copy and paste the script below into Script Editor's window and save as an application.
do shell script "/usr/bin/defaults write com.apple.iWeb iWebDefaultsDocumentPath -boolean no"delay 1
    tell application "iWeb" to activate
You can download an already compiled version with this link: iWeb Switch Domain.
Just launch the application, find and select the domain file you want to open and it will open with iWeb. It modifies the iWeb preference file each time it's launched so one can switch between domain files.
WARNING: iWeb Switch Domain will overwrite an existing Domain.sites2 file if you select to create a new domain in the same folder.  So rename your domain files once they've been created to something other than the default name.

  • I accidently unmarked the book marks tool bar, the tool bar and the menu bar how do i get them back ?becaus now only the tabs are visible and i cant access my features or book marks

i was getting to know my firefox so i accidentally unmarked the menu bar the book marks tool bar and the tool bar. so now only my tabs are visible and i cant get to any of my add-ons or extensions.
and even surfing the net has become difficult cause there is almost nothing i can do with a new empty tab.
how can i get these bars back. i tried taking the cursor up to the thin line above the tabs and the window border but the menu to mark the above mentioned features does not appear any more.
i tried restarting firefox several times but it didn't work. i even uninstalled and completely downloaded a new version of firefox and installed it but the problem still persists.
i am operations system is windows XP.

Firefox 3.6+ versions have a feature to allow the user to hide the Menu bar.
Hit the '''Alt''' key to temporarily show the Menu bar, then open View > Toolbars and select Menu bar, so it has a check-mark. <br />
The F10 can also be used on most PC's to temporarily reveal the Menu bar.

  • Tool bar, and everything else is gone, how do i get it back?

When i open illustrator the tool bar and everything else is gone, only the top menu is still there, i tried to activate tool bar under window menu, but that option is also gone.
I tried to use tab key, but it does not work either.
    Anyone knows what to do?

Now what I told you is so, this is what is causing this and you will either make the effort to understand or you will not solve the problem.
You did try to make an alias and you goofed up, that is correct you made mistake, this is user error.
That is the first thing you have to accept if you cannot so be it, but I will never try to assist you again.
This is the problem I can easily reproduce as I know what you did.
Here take a look, does this look familiar.
Does the icon on the left look familiar?
That is the application outside of the Adobe Illustrator folder.
That's correct you moved it either on purpose or by mistake outside of the folder
and that is why the two of you do not have menu items and tools.
Now the way to fix this is the way I wrote before and this is user error.
And I have met other users on the forum who could not admit they made a mistake before as well.
I am writing this actually for users who really want help and have no problems admitting the did something in error.
I have nothing else to say about this

  • Norton 360 tool bar and safe search no longer visible. can I get it back?

I just installed firefox 4 foptimized for AOL and when it came back up my Norton 360 safe search tool bar and password manager were no longer present. How can I get them back?

Symantec have released updates for Norton 360 and Norton Internet Security to make them compatible with Firefox 4, for details see http://community.norton.com/t5/Norton-Internet-Security-Norton/Firefox-4-compatibility-hotfix-is-now-available/td-p/428894

  • Downloaded iobit tool Bar and it locks up firfox can not do anything

I down loaded iobit tool bar and it made it through. but now whne I open Firefox, everything stops. I then uninstalled firefox, rebooted and the same thing happens. Also had to use a revo to uninstall firefox. At this point I can not use Mozilla. My only option is to use Internet explorer

Yeah I'm seeing this as well. A force quit and relaunch seems to solve the problem for a while.
IMHO the app has just gone downhill in the last few years. Useful tools like browser history from the back button are hidden / rendered useless (click and hold doesn't work so well from a track pad), and it's performance just isn't what it used to be.

  • Carbon X120A7 not rebooting -hissing sound and blinking tool bar and keys

I have a one month old Carbox X1 that has suddenly working. It starts and gives a message of error and the screen goes blank leaving the tool bar and keyboard blinking with a hissing sound. What is going on?? I have an urgent project due I need it to work. Please help

Might not make any difference but would clicking this help if it isn't?
Also, I wonder if it is Pandora or other 3rd party apps that are interfering or taking over.

  • I turned off all my tool bars and can't get them back again.

I inadvertently turned off all my tool bars and now can't turn them back on again. I can't get to any of my favorites. How do I turn on Tool bars when I don't have a tool bar to do it?

If you have hidden the menu bar, press either Alt or F10, this will temporarily display the menu bar, then in the View menu select Toolbars and click on the "Menu Bar" entry to permanently display the menu bar.
You can then use View > Toolbars to display the other toolbars that you want.

Good point BDAqua, the Escape key helps get me back to reality in Lion.
While I've only dabbled around a little in Lion since it's release (I upgraded a 10.6 Clone to Lion on one of my FireWire Drives) now I'm currently downloading Mountain Lion (to upgrade a Clone of that Lion Clone) so that now I can continue to move forward in madness.
P.S. Trust me, I'm not laughing.

  • Before updating to Firefox 4, I want to be sure I will still be able to use Norton Tool bar and Norton Identity Safe. Can anyone advise?

I have not yet updated and will not until I am sure I can Use Norton Tool bar and Identity Safe.

  • HT3964 My tool bar and icons do not appear when I turn on my desktop iMac what can I do about it?

My tool bar and icons do not appear when my desktop boots up. Just wallpaper. Any ideas?

Does everything appear if you just click anywhere on the Desktop? This happens at random to me and it's a known bug (at least in 10.6.)

  • Adobe Reader display page and text in tool bar and options too large.  How can this be reduced?

My Adobe Reader (ver. XI) page for viewing and manipulating docs and the text in tool bar and menus is too large and I cannot reduce its size.   I cannot add but a few functions on the tool bar without them reverting to the drop down.  I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling Adobe XI and that has not helped.  Do not have this problem with other software so I know its not the resolution settings of computer.
Any way to reduce the size of the "viewing page" and its text?  I can change the size of the doc I am viewing but not the items of the page that displays the doc.
    Thanks.

  • My Thunderbird page is screwed up - there is no address book appearing in the tool bar and i do not see a "write: tab - just message - how can I restore

My Thunderbird page is screwed up - there is no address book appearing in the tool bar and i do not see a "write" tab - just "message" how can I restore back to normal?
Would so much appreciate help... frustrating.

Sounds like you are missing the Mail Toolbar.
Do you have a Menu Bar with File-Edit-View etc?
If not press the alt key to make it appear.
From the Menu Bar select View-Toolbars and turn the missing toolbars back on.
Write and Address Book are on the Mail Toolbar.
FYI: The alt key or F10 will make a missing toolbar appear in most applications.

  • There is a frequent flashing above my tool bar and sometimes a flashing black box appears over my Yahoo news. How do I make it Stop??b

There is a bright flashing light over my tool bar and sometimes a flashing black box appears over the Yahoo news. I tried Reset Firefox and that didn't work. I then uninstalled and re-installed Firefox and I still have the seizure inducing flashing lights.
When I switch to Internet Explorer I do NOT have this problem. Please help me because I do not want to go back to IE.
    Thanks

In case this is caused by Firefox 33 being incompatible with your graphics card/chipset driver software, could you test for a while in Firefox's Safe Mode? That's a standard diagnostic tool to deactivate extensions, hardware acceleration, and some other advanced features of Firefox. More info: [[Troubleshoot Firefox issues using Safe Mode]].
You can restart Firefox in Safe Mode using either:
    * "3-bar" menu button > "?" button > Restart with Add-ons Disabled
    * Help menu > Restart with Add-ons Disabled
Not all add-ons are disabled: Flash and other plugins still run
After Firefox shuts down, a small dialog should appear. Click "Start in Safe Mode" (''not'' Reset).
    Any difference?
You can disable hardware acceleration for all modes in the Options dialog.
"3-bar" menu button (or Tools menu) > Options > Advanced
On the "General" mini-tab, uncheck the box for "Use hardware acceleration when available"
This takes effect the next time you exit Firefox and start it up again.
