SJS8EA: how to add netbeans4.1 update center

Hello,
I just get SJS 8 EA and started it, but I immediatly felt a miss compared to NB 4.1: the error stripe available on NB 4.1 update center.
Well, I try to add the update center from nb, but the url is:
http://www.netbeans.org/updates/41_{$netbeans.autoupdate.version}_{$netbeans.autoupdate.regnum}.xml?{$netbeans.hash.code} and it seems that SJS has no idea of what are $netbeans.autoupdate.version and so on. So could someone explain me how to get these variable, both from SJS and NB?

1. Open the Options window from the Tools menu.
2. Expand IDE Configuration > System > Autoupdate Types.
3. Right-click on Autoupdate Types, select New > General Update Center.
4. For the Name, type "NetBeans Update Center" and click Finish.
5. Select the newly created NetBeans Update Center node.
6. On the right, select the Server URL field and replace the "dev_" with "41_" (the dev branch is for NB 4.2, which probably won't work with JSE8). Press Enter to save the change.
Then close the Options window and open the Update Center and download modules as usual. I just installed the Error Stripe module and it works nicely.

This is almost an exercise in futility; at best it will be extremely painful.
Aside from trying to wrap my head around why a 1000+ system environment would not have Active Directory deployed (in 2014!) in the first place, there's only one way you'll be able to achieve this objective: One Client At A Time!
In short, you'll need to either use Local Policy on each individual system, or perform a REG IMPORT of the necessary settings. There may be ways to expedite the REG IMPORT, but that highly depends on the trust factor of the individual end-users, and whether
they have local admin privileges on their system.

Although it is based on NetBeans, Creator does not officially support the addition of 3rd party modules, at least not yet. Hence there is no facility for adding another update center to the IDE. That said, there is nothing in Creator that prevents a user from writing and installing such a module. How well it performs depends on what the module does and how it interacts with the rest of the IDE.

How to add a new char in Update rule

Hi Gurus:
I copied update rules from an old cube. This new cube is a copy of old cube - almost.
One of the char is missing in the new cube when compared to old cube. There is a small update routine for that char which I need to introduce to new cube.
My problem is, I'm not able to figure out how to add the new char in the update rule & start the mapping process..

Dear Bhanu: This is what happened.
When I copied - it defaulted this char with what present in comm structure. Basically the old cube has a routine for this char...
And the position of this char in the update rule for chars..got realigned.
I'm sorry - I should have check it properly.

Hi,
First upload the file into an internal table. If you are using a file that is on application server. Use open dataset and close dataset.
Then :
Loop at it.
*insert or modify as per your requirement.

The SDK doesn't provide any features for adding icons to the command center in SBO6.5.
Version 2004 has a new image property for menu items that can be used.

The photos.app does not (yet) have the option to add captions or tags. It is not possible right now. You can however search for the captions you added previously using the search field. You can also search for album names. So, as a work-around, put photos that should have the same caption into an album with a name like the caption.

Now for the not so good news. You need Photoshop Extended, but the CS4 version is no longer sold.
You can either purchase CS6 Extended, Creative Suite 6 (which is over two years old and is no longer updated) or have latest Photoshop as part of the Creative Cloud Photography plan | Adobe Creative Cloud. Photoshop will always have the latest upgrades and versions and it is all "extended", no "standard" here. Run it on Mac or PC, and in many interface languages at no extra charge.

Here are the steps:
1. have the BI team create a webversion of the report. (not required when calling a query directly
2. create in SPRO --> CRM --> UI Framework --> UI Framework Definition --> Display SAP NetWeaver BI Reports in CRM the reports you want to display
     e.g. BI Report ID         Z_DYBE_GROSS_SALES_CUST_MAT
            Long description              Revenue per customer/materialgroup
            BI Object Type                  HT Template 3.x (depending on your BI version)
            BI Object Key                 ZWCOPALM01_PPS_REVENUE_ARTG_V2
            BI System                      (when using the webtemplate, nothing needs to be filled)
3. create in SPRO --> CRM --> UI Framework --> Technical Role Definition --> Define Navigation Bar Profile
    a. A logical link for each BI report.
       e.g. Logical Link ID ZDB-ACC-DE
              Type    D BI report
              Target ID       DISPLAY
              Parameter       Z_DYBE_GROSS_SALES_CUST_MAT
              Parameter Class CL_CRM_GEN_UI_BI_UTIL
              Icon Name       GC_ICON_REPORTS
              Title           Revenue per customer/mater.
              Description     Revenue per customer/materialgroup
   b. Include in the relevant Report Work Center Link the logical links you have created in step 3.a
      e.g. Group ID        SLS-ACC-RE
             LogLinkID ZDB-ACC-DE position 80
   c. Make sure that your work center link is assigned to the work center
      e.g. Work Center ID SLS-REPORT
             GroupID SLS-ACC-RE position 10
   d. Make sure that your work center is assigned to your navigation bar profile
at this moment the report is linked to a standard workcenter, which can be shown on the webui.
4. In your business role, you need to of course make sure that the flags on the workcenter entries are set on show in menu and directly.
This should give you the complete picture.

When you are on selection screen of FBL5N, press (Shift + F4) DYNAMIC SELECTIONS, there you will see a Dynamic selection screen along with your normal FBL5N selection screen, you will find Profit Centre ther, if you don't find Profit Centre in Dynamic Selection Screen you can add the same from the list on the left, search for profit centre, place your cursor on Profit centre and press the Arrow Button(Copy Selected) on top of the list. Now you will find Prfit Centre in Dynamic selection screen, fill the field with values and press save, that's it.....

Create a new variant
Put your cursor on possible fields.
Click on page down on your key board.
It will show all possible fields.
Double click on the profit center.
It will go to current field in your variant.
