  • Skip inspection at the time of Goods Receipt

I want to skip inspection since it has been done at source. How can I do it at the time of GR ? I know about activating indicator 'Source Inspection - No GR', but I don't find it in MIGO screen.

If you maintian this indicator in Q-info record then you will see that indicator in MIGO (QI01)
No GR Inspection if Source Inspection Lot Exists
    Use
If you set this indicator, the system does not create any inspection lots
at goods receipt for purchase order items that have undergone a source
         inspection.

  • Skip inspection lots

    Hi All,
Can anybody please guide me abt Skip lots and automatic usage decion.
According to what I have understood,if i activate Skip lots and automatic UD tick in QM view of Materail Master and keep the characterstics in Inspection plan as optional charracteristics,Automatic UD will be made for the lot after particular time lapse (time maintained in Customising) and stock posting of lot will be done to unrestricted stock
    My doubts are-
    Is result recording required?
When will the lot have stats as SKIP?
Are there some more conditions for SKIP lots?
Please guide and also correct me if I am wrong

    Hi
If I am not using dynamic modification rule,Can i not skip lots?
    No
Also,If i can,is result recording necessary if DMR is not being used?
It is not mandetory to do RR for SKIP lots
My scenario is that my client does not want to deactivate the inspection type in setup but does not want inspection for a particular material to happen for next 4 months.
Best sloution will be to use Quality Info Record for the same.
As you aware that Quality Info Record is Vendor-Material-plant combination.
So in QI01-->You can Maitain Relese Date: -->This will be 4 months Hence date.
& In Inspection control of QInfo record you can maintain "No Inspection"
This will put material to Unrestricted use directly after GR made till valid date.
After that you can change the date.
    or
Use DMR & in QDR3 you can maintain "Reset period " as 4 months.
this will reset the DMR & lots will come to Quality for inspection.
I hope this will add some value.

  • Quality Inspection for the 1st time Receive of Batch

    Hi all.
My requirement is just to do the quality inspection when the Batch(MCHA-CHARG) is received in the first time in MIGO.
No quality inspection is required for next & consequtive goods receive for the same batch.
for the 1st time receive, the stock will go to quality inspection stock for any batch of a material. From the next time , the stock will go directly to unrestricted stock without quality inspection. is it possible? plz advice.
    Thanks
    pabi

    Hi Pabi,
I am not sure if this will help you, but here are the three options that you might want to consider:
    - Source inspection. The idea here is that an IL is created for a purchase order prior to GR. All subsequent receipts for this PO can be configured to skip inspection.
    - Control if insp. lot in material master (insp. set-up). In this case, the system will not create new insp. lot, if there's already one open for the same batch - it will merely add the qty of the new GR to the same open insp. lot.
    - With dynamic modification you can let the following receipts of the same material from the same vendor to go without QI, but you can't fine-tune it by batch.
I know this is not the same what you want, but I can't recall at the moment a function that will satisfy your requirement exactly.

  • Quality inspection for vendor wise

    Hi,
My client is having a vendor in Hyderabad, he is a properitory vendor then  inspection isn't required while receiving the material.Another vendor is  in Bangalore, for this vendor inspection is required. But the material number is same for both the vendors. How can i proceed this scenerio. Can anybody suggest.
    Regards,
    Krishna

    Hi Krish,
You can control this scenario through Inspection control in the Insp. Control tab of Q-info record. Maintain Q-info record for the vendor you need to skip inspection through QI01, Enter the Vendor QM system in the Vendor master record (Consult MM Guy), and select the Existing QM system such that it matches the Vendor QM system and select the inspection control as No Inspection. Your problem will be solved.
Reward if cleared or get back with queries.

  • Skip Inspection LOT

    Dear Gurus,
suppose one material having QM activate, all the processes have been carried out on regularbasis.
now if a vendor supplies material with no rejection last three months, system should skip inspection lot
material should post the stock to unrestricted not in QC. stock
    is it possible in SAP
    Siva

Keep in mind that dynamic modification is not time driven. It is lot driven.  You cannot specify any set times.
The only time you can specidy a number of days is for the reset value. The DMR gets reset if NO lots are created in a given time.  Each time you get a new lot, the reset date is recalculated.

  • Material with Skip Inspection but no Skip-to-stock goods movement

We have a material with the following QM setting:
    Inspection Type : 01 (Active)
    Skips Allowed = Yes
    automatic usage decision = Yes
Inspection with Task list = No
    Dynamic Modification Rule = Set
Cont.Ins Lot creation (QMAT-CHG) = "1. For each Material Doc, material, batch and sloc)
Current DMR Stage is a Skip Stage
For the above settings, when a GR is done for a material in Skip status, the system creates a Inspection Lot with status "SKIP" but still moves the stock to Q-stock.
We expect the movement to be to "unrest" but this does not happen. Also, this Q-Stock Stock Type prints on the GR Slip, which incorrectly prompts the goods to be sent to Quality Inspection. This causes a lot of confusion in the GR/Inspection process
I contacted SAP and they came back with this very unclear message:
if you are using any form of the inspection lot collection the quantity of the inspection lot will be cumulated during the goods receipt postings. So a skip-to-stock would be dangerous as no check of the quality (UD) of the coming goods receipt would occur after the first goods receipt
Has anyone else had this issue? Is there a use-exit that will work around this and move stock directly to Unrestricted use stock?

    Hi,
We faced the same problem and went back to option:
Cont.Ins Lot creation (QMAT-CHG) = "For each Material Document item
This solves the problem and was in our case the solution for receipts from production. But at goods receipt for purchase orders we still use the option for each material document, batch and SL.
There we pick up the materials in WM by hand by scanning the bar codes on the pallets (printed at GR). The transfer order creates a negative quant in unrestricted use that is later filled by the automatic usage decision that moves the stock from quality to unrestricted in the same bin.
    Hope this helps.....

The following error comes up when I try to install the updated Firefox:
"The operation can’t be completed because some items had to be skipped. For each item, choose File > Get Info, make sure “Locked” is deselected, and then check the Sharing & Permissions section. When you are sure the items are unlocked and not designated as Read Only or No Access, try again."
When I follow the instructions in the error message, it shows that my user name has read and write access. There are a couple other items that are read only. I tried to change this to read and write, but the Sharing and Permissions options are greyed out and will not let me change them. What is the work around for this? I would really like to install the new firefox.
    Thanks.

    Hello,
Certain Firefox problems can be solved by performing a ''Clean reinstall''. This means you remove Firefox program files and then reinstall Firefox. Please follow these steps:
'''Note:''' You might want to print these steps or view them in another browser.
#Download the latest Desktop version of Firefox from http://www.mozilla.org and save the setup file to your computer.
#After the download finishes, close all Firefox windows (click Exit from the Firefox or File menu).
#Delete the Firefox installation folder, which is located in one of these locations, by default('''This will NOT delete profile info such as bookmarks and history'''):
    #*'''Windows:'''
    #**C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox
    #**C:\Program Files (x86)\Mozilla Firefox
#*'''Mac:''' Delete Firefox from the Applications folder.
#*'''Linux:''' If you installed Firefox with the distro-based package manager, you should use the same way to uninstall it - see [[Installing Firefox on Linux]]. If you downloaded and installed the binary package from the [http://www.mozilla.org/firefox#desktop Firefox download page], simply remove the folder ''firefox'' in your home directory.
#Now, go ahead and reinstall Firefox:
##Double-click the downloaded installation file and go through the steps of the installation wizard.
##Once the wizard is finished, choose to directly open Firefox after clicking the Finish button.
Please report back to see if this helped you!
    Thank you.

  • Early Inspection for a Goods Receipt for production order

    Dear Experts,
This  is with respect  Early Inspection for a Goods Receipt for inspction type 04.( 03 is also active in material master)
We made partial confirmation  250 qty for production order using t code co11n ( total qty of production order is 1000).
made the usage decision with an acceptance and posted all open stocks. to unrestricted.
Now  in second partial confirmation prodn order  of 250 qty was made . This suppose to be rejected .  but sytem will add this 250 qty directly to unrestricted stock .  how to over come this .
    Regards
    Sandeep

Don't make the UD until all stock has been receipted?
You basically approved the batch.  So why wouldn't the system put the stock to unrestricted?
Why would you make a UD when you still have stock to be posted anyway?  You can post stock without without making a UD so why not just post some if you need it, and wait on making the UD?

  • Issue of Quality Inspection for consignment return delivery

    Hello,
I am doing a returns delivery(from a Sales Order) from a Customer Consignment.
I am getting a error when I do a Post Goods Receipt(PGI). QM is active for that material.
The error I am getting is
"Change the inspection stock of material XXX in QM only"
    Procedure says
"Check both the QM inspection setup data and the movement type for material XXX in the quality management view of the material master"
The movement type used in the returns delivery is 655(GD returns for QI).
What is the solution for this error. Do I need to change/add new Inspection type based on the Movement type?
    Please let me know ASAP.
    Thanks
    Regards
    SAP Fan..

    Hi,
You can read this link for inspection for customer return [Inspection for customer return|http://help.sap.com/saphelp_47x200/helpdata/en/92/b808b1d52a11d2962200a0c930e04c/frameset.htm]
It looks the material master is set-up inspection type with 06 - returns from customer. Also the movement type 655 moves the goods into QI stock.  In this case, the Quality personnel needs to change the inspection stock type using transaction code QA32. They will change the usage decision on the customer returns.
Once the change the inspection type is changed, you can do the post goods receipt.

  • Can I force the bootcamp wizard to skip looking for the bootcamp drivers?  I have already downloaded the latest drivers and loaded them on a FAT usb drive.  All I want is for bootcamp to create the partition and allow me to install windows 8 pro

    Hi Everyone,
Can I force the bootcamp wizard to skip looking for the bootcamp drivers?  I have already downloaded the latest drivers and loaded them on a FAT usb drive.  All I want is for bootcamp to create the partition and allow me to install windows 8 pro.
The bootcamp drivers have been downloaded from apple's website.  Filename:  BootCamp5.0.5033
    I have a iMac 27" late 2013 model.
NOTE:  I have downloaded the drivers manually from apples support site as the bootcamp wizard fails third of the way through the download.
    Appreciate any assistance.
    Regards,
    asdutoit

There is a missing point in this thread, and it is that the Boot Camp drivers for the Late 2013 iMac can only be downloaded from Boot Camp Assistant. The Boot Camp drivers available in the Apple site are not compatible with that iMac.
Delete the Boot Camp drivers from the USB drive, open Boot Camp Assistant and try to download the Boot Camp drivers again. If you get a message telling you that they could not be downloaded, I would try reinstalling OS X through OS X Recovery, by holding down Command and R keys while your Mac is starting up

  • Inspection for Parent Child Relation

    Hi
We are producing Mat.A from Mat .B and you want to copy the results from Mat.B .
    Both materials are batch managed.
The requirement is - At the inspection for Material A , want to use batch derivation to copy results of Mat B (Parent Child Process)
    Please Guide ..
Please schare Doc if available ..
    Mayank MEHROTRA
    Or in other words..
Whether its possible to transfer the characteristics values of the batch from parent materia (MOM Materials)l to Child Materials
Edited by: Mayank MEHROTRA on Jul 30, 2010 2:19 PM

    Hi Mayank,
We had the same issue in one project. What we did, we develped a z- transaction and program for that.
We had child batches, for eg, 1234561,1234562,1234563,1234564. here the mother batch is 123456. so we recorded value for this mother batch in MSC1N. In developed z transaction, we had a field called "mother batch" and next two fields as "from child batch" and "to child batch". So make entry in these fields and execute. Data will be populated automatically.
Sit with a good ABAPer, he will be able to develop the same.

  • In Process Inspection for Repetitive Manufacturing

    Hi All,
I'm trying to perform in-process inspection for repetitive manufacturing. I have a semi finished material which has the inspection type 13 activated in the material master. Rate routing for it has also been created. Characteristics have been assigned to its operation and the routing is attached to a production version. When I o to MFPR to create a lot, I specify the material, plant and production version with QM active (tried the other 2 options as well) but when I execute, nothing shows up in the list. When I click on create inspection lot, it says, "either select versions or place cursor on versions now" but there's nothing in the list?
    Regards,
    Bilal

    Hi,
Please check whether the repetitive manufacturing check box and REM profile is defined in the MRP4 of material master.
Please define that and try to run the transaction MFPR.
    It should solve your problem

It is about the PSComputerName: that is the name of the machine on which the capture was made. So I suppose the problem is already in the image. Is my statement correct or is it not relevant?

  • Disable esmtp Inspection for Specific Host

Hello.  Is it possible to disable esmtp inspection for a specific INSIDE host with use of a policy-map?  If so, could you provide an example configuration.

Yes it is possible.  You could do something like the following:
access-list ESMTP deny ip host 1.1.1.10 any
    access-list ESMTP permit ip 1.1.1.0 255.255.255.0 any
    class-map CMAP
    match access-list ESMTP
    policy-map PMAP
    class CMAP
    inspect esmtp
    service-policy PMAP interface inside
