Skip lines while loading
How can i skip the last lline while loading from a file? I dont thnk SKIP would help me, Please can someone help me to achieve this in SQL LOADER.
Cheers
Hi,
there is no easy way to do that. SKIP is indeed for skipping the first lines.
There are more options to skip last line:
- Delete the line before the load from the file (by hand or by script), sometimes the easiest way
- If there is a known value in the last line, you can use that value to include in the WHEN clause
- If you know how many lines there are in the file you can use the LOAD clause and put TOTAL_NUMBER_OF LINES -1 to it
So I hope one of the methods will do for you.

Skipping errornous record while loading data
Hi all,
Some times while loading we get loading failed due to error in record no XXXX (invalid char in record. Due to this the entire load fails.
Is there any way of skipping this errornous record while loading the data package and load the remaining data and also put the notifier about this error so that later on tis error could be removed and this record is loaded. Thus avoiding the entire load failure.
Regards,
WrushaliHi Wrushali
Try with only ALL_CAPITAL in RSKC .
Value '07Rakesh" for Billing document number is really not suitable value. I hope this data is not from your R/3 Production system where instead of proper number value for billing document number,you are getting values like "07rakesh".
You have 3 options-
1. Clean the data in R/3 system & then load
2. Edit this data in PSA and then load into ODS.
3. Mark billing document number infoobject for lowercase letters..but then you can not search on billing doc number(limitations to it)

Wanna skip exact number lines while reading a file file
Hi all,
I would like to skip exact number of lines while reading a text file.
Let's say I wanna read this text file starting from line no N.
And so I need to skip from fist line to N-1th line.
Does anyone give me a way to do?
Pls with a sample code if possible coz I am not familiar much to java. :PLineNumberReader class keeps track on line number for you. Sample that skip arg3 lines while copy arg1 file to arg2. Just sample no check, no cleanup.
import java.io.BufferedWriter;
import java.io.File;
import java.io.FileReader;
import java.io.FileWriter;
import java.io.LineNumberReader;
public class Main {
public static void main(String... args) throws Exception {
if (args.length != 3)
throw new IllegalArgumentException("Arguments: infile outfile line_from");
LineNumberReader reader = new LineNumberReader(
new FileReader(new File(args[0])) );
BufferedWriter writer = new BufferedWriter(
new FileWriter(new File(args[1])) );
int readFrom = Integer.valueOf(args[2]);
// skip first lines
while(reader.getLineNumber() < readFrom) {
if (reader.readLine() == null)
throw new IllegalArgumentException("Too few lines");
// write tail
String line = null;
while((line = reader.readLine()) != null) {
writer.write(line);
writer.newLine();
writer.flush();

I have developed PL/SQL which uses below procedures of pa_budget_pub package.

Procedure execute_create_draft_budget fails with following error message.
error message: Please enter a valid product code for this project.
error message: You entered an invalid API parameter.Please enter valid parameter and try again. Parameter Name: Resource List Parameter Value: 1446
error message: Project: AC044. Please specify a valid resource list.
error message: Project: AC044. Please specify a valid resource list.
Could somebody explain me how to resolve this error message and load the budget lines.
Thanks in Advance.
Afsal Basha.What I'm saying is, verify the column name. Dont post if not possible.
Example follows, with one table intentionally "hidden".
SQL> create table "tEsT" ("MaxNumber" float, "MaxnumbeR" number);
SQL> select table_name,column_name from user_tab_columns where table_name like 't%';
TABLE_NAME COLUMN_NAME
tEsT MaxNumber

loc := loc + HTBUF_LEN;
end loop;
if (loc < len)
then
rows_in := rows_in + 1;
htbuf(rows_in) := substr(cbuf, loc + 1);

Issue while loading of data from DSO to InfoCube
Hi Experts,
Can you tell me what might root casue if data is coming into DSO from R3 its correct and fine as required but while loading it to InfoCube from DSO its showing wrong data like some of Line Items that were closed were shown open in Cube AND also KF values were not right
Also there is no Routine code involved b/w DSO and InfoCube.
Thanks in adv .
NPHope you didnt delete some req from DSO without deleting change log . This might cause inconsistency.
If so , delete data from dso by right click delete data and reload . -
V8.2.1: generic file i/o error while loading VI's
Hello,
I had a large LV application open and running fine. I closed it, and upon re-opening the top-level VI it gives "Generic File I/O Error" on several sub-VI's (belonging to me, not LV). Opening those sub VI's individually reveals no problem at all, and in any case the whole code base lives in a Subversion repository and I have tried checking out a fresh copy of the whole source code tree and the problem re-appeared. Before Labview displays the "File I/O error" it will hang for several minutes with no disk or CPU activity.
I just tried checking out a fresh copy of the source tree on a separate computer. Now Labview is hanging while loading "<vilib>:\DAQmx\create\channels.llb\DAQmx Create Channel (CI-GPS Timestamp).vi" after having managed to load 920 VI's. On edit: I spoke too soon. It is now duplicating the "Generic File I/O Error" on one of my sub VI's.
If anyone has any clue to this strange behavior please let me know.
Thank you,
-Brian

Message Edited by brian_g on 04-08-2008 11:44 AMWhat I found was this...
My code calls a bunch of subVI's in another directory. Those subVI's in turn had some unwise paths saved in some of them that loaded other subVI's from a network shared drive instead of the local disk directory.
The network shared drive had been taken off line since the computer was delivered to a customer last Friday. When LV tried to load the VI's from the shared drive, it would hang for about 5 minutes, then give the "Generic File I/O Error" with an "Ok" button to continue. I eventually sat and did this for about 13 VI's, taking most of an hour while waiting for the network reads to timeout.
Once my now-broken application loaded I was able to successfully re-direct the missing VI's to the local disk, resolving the problem.
The "Generic File I/O Error" message could not be less useful in this case and I'm rather irritated by the genericity of the message. Something like "Network read failed" would have immediately illustrated the problem and kept me from wasting a whole lot of time deciphering it. -

164Hi Hardeep,
Looks like the transformation and DTP need to be activated again.
The error is RSBK (299) - 'Invalid program status'. So please activate the transformation and DTP possibly activate the DSO's too.
It should then work.
Thanks
Amit -

Tuxedo 9.1 base installation complete
when tried to install Tuxedo 9.1 on unbreakable Linux 5. I am trying to install Peoplesoft.
I found this error is pretty common, not necessary appear when installing Tuxedo. I am searching around and a lot of people saying to comment out the line
export LD_ASSUME_KERNEL
The problem is I don't know which in which file I need to do it. Has anyone have the encountered the similar problem before? Thanks.After reading the installation script, I figure out which is the evil file. I just post it here so if someone get into this problem in the future, he can fix it.
Here is the solution:
Assume you are at the directory where the install.sh is. Do the following:
-bash-3.1$ cd linux/sles9/base
-bash-3.1$ cp tuxedo91_32_SLES_9_x86.bin tuxedo91_32_SLES_9_x86.bin.bak
-bash-3.1$ cat tuxedo91_32_SLES_9_x86.bin.bak | sed "s/export LD_ASSUME_KERNEL/#xport LD_ASSUME_KERNEL/" >tuxedo91_32_SLES_9_x86.bin
-bash: tuxedo91_32_SLES_9_x86.bin: Permission denied
-bash-3.1$ cat tuxedo91_32_SLES_9_x86.bin.bak | sed "s/export LD_ASSUME_KERNEL/#xport LD_ASSUME_KERNEL/" >tuxedo91_32_SLES_9_x86.bin
Then run the installation script
sh install.sh and be happy as I am now!!!! -
So, I have a sligtly old computer that I use web browsers like midori on, because they are good for slow computers. Whenever I launch dwb or midori or luakit from the launcher in the Gnome shell, nothing happends. When launching from the terminal (dwb here, it happens for all three) I get:
dwb: error while loading shared libraries: /usr/lib/libwebkitgtk-1.0.so.0: file too short
and when installing packages I get:
ldconfig: File /usr/lib/libjavascriptcoregtk-1.0.so is empty, not checked.
ldconfig: File /usr/lib/libjavascriptcoregtk-1.0.so.0.16.10 is empty, not checked.

ldconfig: File /usr/lib/libwebkitgtk-1.0.so.0.22.8 is empty, not checked.
ldconfig: File /usr/lib/libjavascriptcoregtk-1.0.so.0 is empty, not checked.
ldconfig: File /usr/lib/libxvidcore.so is empty, not checked.
ldconfig: File /usr/lib/libxvidcore.so.4 is empty, not checked.
ldconfig: File /usr/lib/libtotem.so.0.0.0 is empty, not checked.
ldconfig: File /usr/lib/libwebkitgtk-1.0.so.0 is empty, not checked.
ldconfig: File /usr/lib/libtotem.so is empty, not checked.
ldconfig: File /usr/lib/libwebkitgtk-1.0.so is empty, not checked.
The package installs, and then this prints out.
What can I do to fix it?
Note: this happened after a system update

Error While loading into BW using infoPackage
Hi All,
While following directions posted at the following wiki page https://wiki.sdn.sap.com/wiki/display/BOBJ/ConfiguretheLoadJobinBW%28DS+3.2%29,
we get an error while loading data into BW using infoPackage via Data services 3.2
In SAP BI side Error says :"Error while executing the following command: -sJO return code:220"
On DS side for the RFC server log we get the error" Error while executing the following command -sJOB_SQL_TO_DBI -Ubbu -P;(encrypted password) -A (encryted information) -VMODE=F"
Issue is still open with support as we still cannot excute the job from infopackage. it is succesfully executed from designer, admin console, batch file.
Any insights/help would be appreciated.
Thanks.
Edited by: rana_accn on Jan 26, 2010 6:48 PMSure I will.
One thing we have noticed is that in the server_eventlog parameter for the log line "Starting job with command line parameters are different"
When job is executed from DS side parameters -Ct -Cm -Ca -Cj -Cp -S -N -Q -U -P -G -r -T -Locale are used
When job is executed from BW side parameters -Ct -Cm -Ca -Cj -Cp -s -N -Q are used
Also when the job is executed from BW, log files start getting created but then trace and error file show an error that cannot open database - and that points to DSCentral repository.This repository is not even mapped to the job server and the job has been exported from the correct repository as command line execution of the job works perfectly fine.
Thnx
Just an update we were not able to figure out why this happened in the existing environment. One reason given was that somehow the commands which were being executed from BW side were getting corrupted. We had to build a new environment and this is no longer an issue in the new environment, as now all jobs can be executed from BW. Only difference between the 2 environments was we are now on 12.2.1.3 while earlier we were on 12.2.0.0.

Thanks,
PratikLKM looks fine. Sorry it was my bad the "data" at the end was not visible and you are right its IKM for integration
Log file that you have provided talks about these parameters but I doubt these are related to data
I was going through the link and it takes about the parameters CLEAR_ALL_METADATA_BEFORE_LOAD, REPLACE_MODE but they are related to metadata
Oracle Hyperion Financial Management
I have no idea. Will keep posted if I get to know anything

"JavaScript Error encountered while loading HTML"
Hi,
I have been trying to embed a google map on a InDesign CC page, NO LUCK YET.
I spoke several Adobe InDesign help line people, unfortunately they couldn't solve it.
Here is the problem: I tried with different versions
1- version) I copy of a map code and paste the code on a page, shows grey square round image and nothing (no map)
2- version) From Object menu:
"Select insert HTML.."
"This is an HTML snippet."
I paste the codes into HTML box, a second later, small box message,
"JavaScript Error encountered while loading HTML"
I have 64bit 12gb ram computer with windows 8.1
InDesign CC version 9.2.1 x64
Java 7 update 51
I have tried with Internet explorer, google chrome and fire fox, and different maps, still no luck.
Can anyone solve this problem?
Thank you in advance,
atamtanYes, Google changed something and not for the better.
Try a bing map instead. They work fine. -
Error while loading data from FDM (EPM 11.1.1.3)
Hi,
We are loading data into HFM from FDM. While loading data from FDM it is throwing an error which as below.
"Load data started: 5/20/2012 9:30:45 PM
Line 27, Error: Cell for Period Mar is not an input cell.
Actual,2011,Mar,YTD,ENT_JJ,JPY,A23232323,ENT_J76;[None];[None];[None];ICP_Load;3463437"
There were multiples lines which are throwing error.
After doing some checking we found that when we unpost ICP data in HFM we were able to load data from FDM. We have not locked the ICP entities because that will restrcit to load data. But we are not able to understand just unposting the ICP values why we are able to load data from FDM. Also we have not closed the period in HFM.
Kindly suggest, what could be the possible reason.
Thanks
Edited by: user12121146 on May 27, 2012 5:29 AMone way to figure this out, would be to open a grad at the same POV.
It will rule out a couple things.
If it is locked, you'll visually see that it is locked. (will be grey I believe)
If it is an invalid intersection, you'll see that as well. (will be red)
If you do not have access to the cell, you will see that if you look at cell status, it will say NO ACCESS.
That should help you figure out what is happening, the quick and dirty way.
