Skip spamhaus check for Email _to_ certain addresses?

I've got some backup processes running at client sites that send me daily Emails when they complete, and most of them have stopped reporting since I turned on Spam checking thru spamhaus.org, since most of them sit behind dynamic addresses.
Is there an easy way to have Email to certain addresses bypass the spamhaus check? I'd like (for instance) IknowItButThe [email protected] to be delivered no matter where it comes from...
Love zen.spamhaus.org, BTW, since turning it on my spam has dropped by something like 90 percent.
Yes, some of the programs can be set to authenticate, but not all of them are that sophisticated...
Thanks!

I think the relay option is best but had a think about original question...
The problem with allowing a specific recipient To: address to bypass RBL checks is that the applicable option, checkrecipientaccess, is an smtpdrecipientrestriction and this restriction takes place AFTER the smtpdclientrestriction, where the RBL is normally specified.
To enable this to work, you would need to move the RBL check into the recipient_restriction (probably at end) and have checkrecipientaccess before that (probably at beginning). The RBL will work fine in that location and will still check all external connecting IPs - just more 'intuitive' to have it in the client_restriction list.
The checkrecipientaccess references a hash:file, e.g.,...
checkrecipient_access   hash:/etc/postfix/recipientaccess
which would have contents...
[email protected] OK
postmap it & reload...
postmap /etc/postfix/recipient_access
postfix reload

[EDIT] Actually, if you have not hand edited main.cf already, then the RBL check will already be in recipient_restrictions (Server Admin default location).

  • Can my mail automatically check for emails?

    can my iphone mail automatically check for emails without having to open the mail app. i remember before the update there was an option where it would check every 15 minutes. what ever happened to that? is there another way to do it? thanks in advance!

    Depending on your Mail client ie MobileMe/Yahoo/Gmail you can either set up push which is great or failing that set up fetch mail where it checks at certain intervals look in:
    Settings>Fetch New Data>
    clicking on the Mail app does a check each time you open it, setting fetch/push means it will either have the mail sent to your phone(Push) or go out and "fetch" the mail without you having to manually do it.

  • Why yahoo/gmail retrieval and facebook app so so slow when in WIFI. But using the internet to check for emails and facebook is fast using the same WIFI connection??

    Why yahoo/gmail retrieval and facebook app so so slow when in WIFI. But using the internet to check for emails and facebook is fast using the same WIFI connection??

    Hi SandyS_VZW,
    Yes tried resetting the wifi connection and problem still persist.
    Here it is...to make it clear. Connected thru the same wifi at home...
    -> emails (yahoo/gmail) and facebook WEBSITES are working fine and fast when using/accessing thru a browser (chrome/samsung browser) - no problem with this.
    -> emails (yahoo/gmail) and facebook APP is soooooo sloooww (thru the App). Slow I mean comparing it to using their browser/websites... news feeds/emails refreshing so quickly but not when using the APP installed in Samsung Galaxy Note 4. Slow like - It will take around 5-10minutes just to get your emails and news feed refreshed.
    THIS HAPPENS ONLY WHEN CONNECTED THRU A WIFI which has a speed of 10-20mb. It is not happening when connected to the network data/plan.
    My wife has the same Samsung Galaxy Note 4 (coming from different provider at&t) - same setup (emails, fb app), same wifi connection, but she's not experiencing anything like it.
    Not sure why, I dont want to believe that while connected to a WIFI, Verizon is restricting anything and ******* me off to make me switch to my data plan connection everytime - which is Unfair!
    Was there a known issue similar about this case?
    thanks,

  • To verify my iCloud account the phone tells me to check my email at an address that is not mine.  How do I fix this?

    iCloud on my pone states the account is not verified, but then directs me to check my email at an address that is not mine.  How do I correct this?

    Welcome to the Apple Support Communities
    That's a problem that all users of a second-hand Mac released after the OS X Lion launch have. OS X, iPhoto, iMovie and GarageBand are registered to the Apple ID the first owner used to register the computer, so you can't use them legally without repurchasing them. Furthermore, there's a bigger problem: you have to get iPhoto, iMovie and GarageBand on a DVD, because the App Store makes impossible to purchase these applications on a second-hand Mac.
    Nothing will happen if they are already installed, but you won't be able to reinstall and update them, so I recommend you to delete them and buy iLife '11 on a DVD to install the applications from there. Also, take note that you can't also reinstall OS X, so if OS X gets damaged, you will have to take your computer to an Apple Store.
    Open  > About this Mac, and tell us the OS X version you have. If you are using OS X Lion, you can upgrade to Mountain Lion with your Apple ID, so then you will be able to reinstall OS X

  • How can i prevent my C3 to check for email automat...

    I have a C3 and am using it for email. I have set up my hotmail and google mail account.
    Every day at 9:00 my phone checks for email automatically That is no what I want. I only want it to check for messages when I ask for it.  i have a plan with a fixed amount per day, regardless how much I use it.
    So the automatic check for email says to my provider "you can charge this phone for the day". And that is not what I want if I do not intend to use the phone for the rest of the day.
    Where can I set that automatic checking for messages is turned off.
    Thanks,
    Herbert

    Which C3 to be clear,you could always just turn off the data,or go tru the email settings,there is where to change this.
    If  i have helped at all a click on the white star below would be nice thanks.

  • Sent email to certain addresses disappears

    I suspect this is happening with others but I know for sure it is happening with one particular address. When I send email to my parent's email address which is an msn account from my .mac mail acct using mac mail, the message simply disappears. It shows as sent on my macbook but they never receive it. I have sent emails in the past without a problem and I can receive email from them without a problem. I sent a test email to my hotmail acct at the same time I sent one to their msn acct and mine made it but theirs did not. I checked their junk folder and it is not in there either.
    Any ideas?

    You are not alone. I'm having similar thing happen when I reply to certain emails, though it seems more random to me. Both the original email and the reply disappear. Nothing seems to be sent and I don't get anything in my Sent folder. If I run a Spotlight check for either one, they show up in the listing and I can open them in individual windows, but I cannot open them in the Mail viewer.
    Another oddity is that the reply shows up multiple times in the Spotlight listing. Obviously the file exists somewhere in the computer, though I can't find where. I believe that if you shut-down your computer or perhaps just close Mail, these missing emails disappear for good! Not a good thing if you cannot rely on your mail program.

  • Auto-check for emails?

    Hi.
    I was just wondering if it is at all possible to set my Mail program up to check my email for me at certain time intervals.
    I'm in college and it'd be nice if I was able to have my email automatically checked for me, as I tend to get busy and forget to check it myself.
    Today actually our campus was closed due to snow, but unfortunately I didn't think to check my email otherwise I would have found out before attempting to go to class.
    So...can I do this?
    MacBook Pro   Mac OS X (10.4.8)

    You can set the interval in Mail's Preferences under 'General'.

  • Frequency of checking for email

    After setting up our email accounts on the Droid, I found the Email settings screen where you can select Email Delivery>>Fetch Schedule. Two questions:
    (1) Does "Fetch schedule" mean how frequently the Droid checks for new emails on the mail server? (dumb question, but I wanted to make sure)
    (2) If so, it looks like the shortest frequency you can select is 15 minutes. We would like to have it check every minute or less. Is there any way to do that?
    Thanks
    Tom G

    Question 1, Yes, the Droid will pull down Email every 15 minutes (or depending on the time you set).
    Question 2. No, 15 minutes is the fastest. You would not want Droid to pull down Email every minute, because you will be recharging your battery about every hour. Remember, you are using battery strength every time Droid scans for new Email.

  • Checking for email but not connecting

    When I check for new emails it continuously checks but doesn't pull them up

    Did you try the Apple suggestions of turning off "Ask to join networks" and turn screen brightness down? This helped us with most of our WiFi issues. Interesting though, is that I have the opposite problem. My Internet access is fine, but I can't get email with the iPad email app. I took it to the Apple store and my email worked great, got back home and just "spinning" with no response.

  • Enabling of Spell Checker for email and text in IC Web Cleint

    Hi,
    Can someone help me how to enable the Spell Checker option for email and text in IC web Client.
    Currently we are working with CRM 4.0.
    Thanks in adv....

    Hi,
    I agree with the previous reply. Building your own spell checker is just a waste of time. Google bar has a pretty nice spell checker with different language support.
    Its best to use that.
    If there are reasons why you don't want to use the said spell checker then in CRM_IC you will find two view for spell checker. You can add JavaScript or VB Script code to use word functionality and do the spell check. This would be the second best alternative.

  • Blocking OUTGOING eMail to certain addresses

    In looking up this question, I found this http://discussions.apple.com/thread.jspa?messageID=3321398&#3321398 and was wondering if I could change the RegEx to:
    /^To: .*<annoying@domain\.com>/ DISCARD
    so as to deny the server from sending any email to the annoying eMail address?
    And instead of quietly, make it known to the sender that the address is not allowed, denied, can't be sent to, should not be disturbed, etc...

    Almost.... except that the "To:" header is not present when the message first goes from the mail client to your server (or at least that is what I have found).
    The only header which can be searched is the first one added by your server (this is the bottom one if you look at the Full Headers of an incoming email), e.g,...
    Received: from [10.0.0.105] (unknown [10.0.0.105]) by mail.panoramicscotland.com (Postfix) with ESMTP id 4D3AB45133 for <[email protected]>
    So your entry in the header_check file would be (for the above)...
    /^Received.for.<[email protected]>/ REJECT No sending to this address!
    The ".*" each side of the "for" will expand to the other text in the header.
    What the sender will get is an immediate "Error" message displayed by their email client, displaying the text after the REJECT text as the reason for the error.
    Give it a go - it's real easy to set up.
    Note you need to issue a 'postfix reload' after creating/editing the header_check file.

  • Auto checking for email

    Hi all and happy new year. My mail app used to check automatically for new mail at 1minute and up to 1hour intervals but now it doesn't, I have to do it manually. Any suggestions gratefully acknowledged

    Assuming you still have your preferences set to check for new mail at your desired interval, perhaps Mail has taken your mail server offline. Check your mailbox drawer for a circle icon with a squiggly line through it. If Mail has taken that account offline it won't check for new mail until you enable it again.

  • Contacts seem to have broken into individual entries for email, phone number, address. How can I fix this?

    My contacts have been split into individual entries for each part of the contact. There is now an entry for the phone number, each email address, and address of each contact that I have. I have never seen this before and would like to know if there is any way to combine them back into one. Thank you

    Hey FionaB90,
    Thanks for the question, and welcome to Apple Support Communities.
    It sounds like your phone number has been unlinked from your Apple ID. To relink your phone number, we'll need to troubleshoot on your iPhone (not the iPad).
    The following article provides information about linking your phone number to your Apple ID. Once linked, simply sign out of iMessage and FaceTime on your iPad, then sign back in.

  • Checking for valid (and working) address

    (sorry if i posted in the wrong forum... i didn't found any that suits better my problem)
    that's the question: i have a string and need to check if it's a valid host name/ip address and also check if it's up and running at the moment. to solve the host name, i have the following code:
    try {
    URL url = new URL(sURL);
    HttpURLConnection uc = (HttpURLConnection) url.openConnection() ;
    uc.setRequestMethod("GET") ;
    uc.connect();
    uc.getResponseMessage();
    catch (IOException ioe) {
    //wrong url/not working
    but it doesn't work with ip addresses. Someone suggested me to use InetAddress.isReachable(int), but it's only avaliable since Java 1.5, and i must use 1.4. Another way around would be to use InetAddress.get(Canonical)HostName(), but it may fail even with a valid ip address, and i can't allow that.
    can someone give me a hand?
    thanks!

    the host name, i have the following code:Easy - it isn't possible at all.
    If and only if you were to use ICMP (which you can't in 1.4 using just java) and if and only if the target computer responded to ICMP then you could use that.
    That is seldom very useful because generally one doesn't care if a computer responds to ICMP. What they need to know is if the computer is actually doing what it is supposed.
    For example if you have an http server, what you care about is if it is actually handling http requests. (The computer can be up and not handling http requests.)
    Not to mention of course that a host name requires that the DNS server respond to it first. And just because the DNS server is failing it doesn't mean that the target PC is failiing.
    But if you really want to do nothing but ICMP then you can use Runtime.exec() and an OS specific command (usually 'ping') to do just that.
