Skipping errornous record while loading data
Hi all,
Some times while loading we get loading failed due to error in record no XXXX (invalid char in record. Due to this the entire load fails.
Is there any way of skipping this errornous record while loading the data package and load the remaining data and also put the notifier about this error so that later on tis error could be removed and this record is loaded. Thus avoiding the entire load failure.
Regards,
Wrushali
Hi Wrushali
Try with only ALL_CAPITAL in RSKC .
Value '07Rakesh" for Billing document number is really not suitable value. I hope this data is not from your R/3 Production system where instead of proper number value for billing document number, you are getting values like "07rakesh".
You have 3 options-
1. Clean the data in R/3 system & then load
2. Edit this data in PSA and then load into ODS.
3. Mark billing document number infoobject for lowercase letters..but then you can not search on billing doc number(limitations to it)

How to skip first record while inserting data from a flat file to BW system
Hi Experts,
In my project we have to upload flat file into a BW system. I have written a program and it is working fine.
Now we have got another requirement. The flat file will have a header record (first row). While uploading the flat file we have to skip this record. How I can do so?
The code is as below:

Update the source record while loading data into target
Hello Friends,
I am loading data from "staging info object" into "target info object".
I have the validation code in 'start routine' in the transformations.
During validations, if the conditions are met, I would like to load the record into target and at the same time, update one specific field of this record ( e.g. say - LoadFlag ) in the source infoobject.
I am successfully able to load the records in the target info objects.
I would like to know, how to update the record in the source-infoobject.
Can anyone please let me know the ABAP syntax for this one.?
I promise to award points.
Thank you for your time.
Pramod.Instead of ABAP you can:
a) connect the update rule to the target also to the source object as input. In this updaterule you can simple set the load indicator with a constant.
b) use an APD (TR RSANWB). -
Less number of Records while loading data from one cube to another
Hi,
We are in the process of doing major changes in the existing InfoCube.
Before making any changes, we had planned to make a copy of the cube with data.
For this we did the following steps :
1. Created the new cube from the original cube.
2. Generated Datasource on the Orignal cube.
3. Made a update rule on the new cube by selecting the Orinal cube.
4. Made a InfoPack on Infosouce which got created with 8<original cube>.
5. Uploaded the data into the new cube.
We have uploaded the data successfully from the original cube to the new cube.
However, New cube shows less number of records as compared to the original cube.
But the query is showing the same figures from both the cubes.
Can anyone please advise what could be the reason for this less number of records and how the figures are showing same when we run the query from both the cubes.
Please help.
Thanks
Ramesh GanjiHi Ramesh,
this is possible coz when u have loaded yr original cube, it may be loaded on daily/weekly basis. so in the cube there are many requests. Also if in the same request, if there are two records with same dimension keys ther are automatically added aggregating them.
if req 1 has following records
cust mat amt
1 1 100
1 1 50
it will add
1 1 150
and if the records are seperated by different req, then both will b added individually.
therefore when u r loading yr new cube from original cube, all records that has same dimension key gets aggregated coz they are loaded into single request. so it showing less no of records as added.
hope this helps.

Purvang

Error while loading data from DS into cube
Hello All
I am getting the below error while loading data from Data source to the cube.
Record 1 :Time conversion from 0CALDAY to 0FISCPER (fiscal year ) failed with value 20070331
Wht am i suppose to do?
Need ur input in this regard.
Regards
RohitHi
Simply map 0calday to 0fiscper(you already done it)..You might have forgotten to map fiscal year variant in update rules....if it comes from souce, just map it..if it won't comes from source...make it as constant in update rules and give value..
If your business is April to March make it as 'V3'
If your business is January to Decemeber make it as 'K4'..
activate your update rules delete old data and upload again....
Hope it helps
Thanks

Error while loading data from 0FI_TX_4 to ODS
Dear Friends,
One of our proccess chain getting error since a week, every day with same error while loading data from R3 data source 0FI_TX_4 to ODS.
Short dump is raised in R3 system.
"DBIF_RSQL_SQL_ERROR" CX_SY_OPEN_SQL_DBC
"SAPLBWFIR" or "LBWFIRU13"
"BWFIR_READ_BSET_CPUDT_DATA"
ORA-01555
The number of records are below 10000 only.
All other chains are OK.
we have already searched SDN and Notes...and applied below solution, but still no use
Increase the size of all the roll back segments
Increase number of REDO logs
Decrease the number of records per data packet
Any more suggessions please ??
Thanks
TonyHow are you telling that no. of records are below 10000 .Have you checked the no.of records in PSA???
Now ,I tell you something which I had done for this error .I increased the Package size such that whole data gets transferred in single data package. Please make the package size as large as possible so that all the data can be processed in single package.

It means in your options of the KM you have it set to quit when it hits one error, if you set it to 0 (infinite) then it will not stop no matter how many data load errors it hits.
If you set it to 0 and run the interface, depending on how you set up the options in the KM it can write to two log files, which you should check.
Cheers

Problem while loading data from ODS to infoobject
Hi guys,
I am facing problem while loading data from <b>ODS to infoobject</b>.
If I load data via PSA it works fine but
if I load data without PSA its giving error as Duplicate records.
Do u have any idea why it is so.
Thanks in advance
savioHi,
when you load the data via the PSA, what did you select? Serial or Paralel?
If you select serial most likely you don't have duplicates within the same datapackage and your load can go through.
Loading directly in the IObj will happen thefore if you have the same key in two different packages, the "duplicate records" will be raised; you can perhaps flag your IPack with the option "ignore duplicate records" as suggested...
hope this helps...

)example of errors while loading data and how do u resolve them?
hai ram reddy this is ramprasad reddy....u can get this type of most commen errors....like below
As the frequent failures and errors , there is no fixed reason for the load to be fail , if you want it for the interview perspective I would answer it in this way.
a) Loads can be failed due to the invalid characters
b) Can be because of the deadlock in the system
c) Can be becuase of previuos load failure , if the load is dependant on other loads
d) Can be because of erreneous records
e) Can be because of RFC connections.....(sol: raise the ticket to BASIS team to provide the connection)
f)can be coz of missing master data.
g)can be coz of no data found in the source system.
h)Time stamp error........(sol: activate the data source and replicate the data source and load)
i)Short dump error.........(sol: delete the request and load once again)
j)Data locking when loading in parallel.
k)ODS activation failures.
l)No SID found........(sol: should load masterdata before transaction data) -

Error while loading data for Master dara
Dear Masters
I am getting below error for master data (0MATERIAL_ATTR), while loading data from PSA to 0material_attr through DTP (I have set the Handle duliocate record also). When I checked that error data in Error Stack, I am getting below error for all records for 100 records
"Record filtered in advance as error records with the same key exist"
Could u please help me to resolve this issue
Thanks in Advance
RajaHi
While loading master data im getting below error
"Record filtered in advance as error records with the same key exist".
When I clicked, above error Long Text, I am getting below error
Diagnosis
The existing DTP requires a serialized update because fields are updated
non-commutatively during the processing run (for example, MOVE).
Therefore all new data records that have the same semantic key as
incorrect records that have not yet been corrected in earlier requests
or earlier data packages of the same request, are filtered out after the
extraction in a special step. In this way the system ensures that
incorrect data records are not repeated for your changes, which may not
contain errors themselves.
System Response
The data record is not updated but is written to an error stack.
Procedure
Correct all incorrect data records and update them using an error DTP.

How to skip first records while reading a csv file
Hi,
How to skip the first 5 records while reading csv file.
I have a file which contains first 5 records as dummy records, I want to skip those records and load the rest into RDBMS.
How to achieve this?
Thanks,
Naveen SuramHi Guru,
Actually I have converted an excel to CSV format, which is generating first 4 rows as some dummy records. 5th row is my header record. But in hearder record, two column names are same. Thats why while reversing it is giving an error.
With zero in number of columns in header, I am getting the column names as C1, C2...
If not in reversing, can we reject the first records while loading into RDMBS table using an interface?
Thanks,
Naveen Suram -
Facing problem while loading data into XI
Hi All,
I am facing a peculiar problem while loading data into XI when we load small amount of data say 5-10 records these records gets processed, but when we try to load a bit higher volume say 100-500 which comes out to be around 7 record s per second then the record processing gets stalled. That is it gives a message that "recorded for outbound processing".
So can any body throw some light on it and can tell us why we rare facing such problem and how can we resolve that problem.
Thanks in Advance.

rahulHi rahul,
Deregistering and Registering the Queue is a temporary solution.
The better way to this would be to Tune your Xi system as already mentioned by Vijaya as mentioned in the guide ,

Hi All,
I am getting this error message while loading data in BW. The eeror message is below:
Data not received in PSA Table.
Diagnosis
Data has not been updated in PSA Table . The request is probably still running or there was a short dump.
Procedure
In the short dump overview in BW, look for the short dump that belongs to your data request. Make sure the correct date and time are specified in the selection screen.
You can use the wizard to get to the short dump list, or follow the menu path "Environment -> Short dump -> In Data Warehouse".
Removing errors
Follow the instructions in the short dump.
When I checked the short dump it is as below.
ShrtText
An SQL error occurred when accessing a table.
What can you do?
Make a note of the actions and input which caused the error.
To resolve the problem, contact your SAP system administrator.
You can use transaction ST22 (ABAP Dump Analysis) to view and administer termination messages, especially those beyond their normal deletion date.
How to correct the error
Database error text........: "ORA-14400: inserted partition key does not map to any partition"
Internal call code.........: "[RSQL/INSR//BIC/B0000541000 ]"
Please check the entries in the system log (Transaction SM21).
You may able to find an interim solution to the problem in the SAP note system. If you have access to the note system yourself, use the following search criteria:

"INSERT_ODS"
Can someone suggest me what should I check?
Thanks in advance. Thanks a lot Manga. I did what you told and it gave me this error message.
Inconsistency: High value for table /BIC/B0000541000: 0002 ; PARTNO value in RSTSODS: 0022
So you mean to say once I click on correct error button, it should be good. So after that if do the loading, it should not give me this problem if I am right.
But can you tell me what exactly does that error message mean? Also is this not an table space issue. I have to wait to correct that error as DBA is currently looking into it.
