Skipping through chapters & tracks

i am a complete novice trying to author my first disc in dvd studio pro 3.0.2.
the disc has 4 tracks, some of which are divided into chapters. all navigation seems to be fine except for one thing. skipping forward through chapters with the "next" button is okay until i get to the last chapter in a track. from this point the "next" button doesn't do anything.
ideally, i would like to skip from the last chapter of one track to the first chapter / beginning of the next track. how can i do this ?
thanks for any help you can offer,

i was worried that it would mean that it would over-rule skipping through tracks, but it appears (in preview at least, i haven't burned yet), that it first skips through chapters and then from the last chapter of one track to the first chapter of the next track.
Provided you do not set End Jumps for chapters themselves, this behavior should continue once you burn the disc.
In a scenario like yours, jumps/skip forwards have a certain hierarchy, if you will: only if you're in the last chapter available within a track will you activate the Next Jump for the track. Otherwise, as you've seen, if another chapter is present within the track, it will jump to that chapter.
unfortunately the help manual says this will mean the dvd player will no longer display the counter.
Usually true, though some players display an active counter regardless.

  • I tunes skips through album, no sound, play count reads as played...eh?

I've been buying a lot of new CD's lately since I started DJing at a local rock club and have been having this issue every so often over the last few months and it is now getting to the point where I am tearing my hair out trying to figure this out, Please HELP!!
So, I import a CD I just bought today, it imports into my I tunes, all the track details and all other info are there, yet when I go to play the album, it skips through each track without playing a single sound and registers it on the play count as having being played. So far this has happened to a few CDs I have purchased lately which are as follows:
    Green Day - Nimrod
Black Label Society - Shot To ****
    Linkin Park - Hybrid Theory
    Down - Down II
Black Stone Cherry - Folklore and Superstition
Has anyone had trouble importing these particular albums or had similar issues when importing? Any help would really be appreciated!!!

I've just connected the ipod to my computer and checked the music on the iPod. The album that I am having trouble with shows an exclamation symbol next to it. I've tried deleting the album from iTunes and re downloading it then syncing but it doesn't appear to affect the information shown the iPod. The album neither deletes nor updates.

I don't recognise the symptoms as such, but here are a couple of things to try.
    Check all tracks
Unchecked tracks are skipped during normal track to track playback. Go to the Songs view and CTRL-click on an empty checkbox, or CTRL-click on a filled one twice. This will ensure all tracks are checked.
    Repair permissions
To make sure that your iTunes folder (or media folder if located separately) has the correct permissions, right-click on the folder and click Properties, then go to the Security tab and click Advanced. If necessary grant your account and SYSTEM full control to this folder, subfolders and files, then tick the option to replace permissions on child objects which will repair permissions throughout the library. This is the XP dialog but later versions of Windows shouldn't be too different.
You can also clear the Read-Only flag for the entire library from the Properties dialog.

  • Itunes 10.5 skipping imported CD tracks on windows vista

    Can anyone help me,
I am running Windows Vista and have updated to latest itunes version 10.5. I have imported 3-4 of my CD's (they play fine in any other cd player) which all show imported (i.e with the green tick on import screen) However when i go to play them both on the pc and on my ipod it skips through between 4-9 tracks (not playing anything) before playing another track further down the list.
    cheers

How many cds have you ripped since replacing the drive? I think you have just been lucky.
I mostly use an external cd drive. I still have the problem with both internal and external drives.
Remember this problem is random. I have tried 3 cds in a row and had no trouble, then on the 4th the issue is back.
I don't believe this issue will completely go away until Apple prvides a fix with an iTunes update.

  • Tracks skipping within the track in iTunes 11.1.5, Windows 7

I am currently having trouble with the tracks in my iTunes library skipping within the track as it streams, is there something I can do to resolve this?
Initially I thought it was just the songs that I bought through iTunes that were having issues but it seems to be any of the songs I listen to that is having this issue. Even if it is something I tried to reimport from CD. I have only been having this issue over the last two to three weeks.
I have Windows 7 HP and iTunes 11.1.5.
If this has been discussed before my apologies.

    Hi The Frazzled Shinigami,
Thanks for visiting Apple Support Communities.
I recommend the troubleshooting steps in this article if all songs are skipping when you play them in iTunes:

Does this only happen with the tracks you have downloaded from the iTunes Store?  Perhaps you should work the suggestions in this Apple support document first.

  • Can you adjust the sensitivity (Skipping through Transients)?

Protools lets you skip through your waveforms while editing (quick). Logic goes to every little waveform (Transient) to detailed. You know when you go to BeatMapping when you adjust the sensitivity to lets say (50) it goes to the Highest waveform and marks it.
What I want to do is in the (Arrange Window) >I want to skip through and cut up my waveforms by the Highest Peaks of the wave! (Does that make sense)

I have 10 drum tracks regions marquee selected and I have the kick track selected and when I shift right arrow all the tracks are analyzed but I want ONLY the kick's transients to be analyzed since there is no noise between the hits. The noise and non gated low level signals are causing the transient detector to make a stop every little step I do not want this, nor do you. How do we use this feature and still make the cuts across all the tracks based on the kick's transients ?

  • Cycle through music tracks - motion-sensing track cycling

There's some Sony phones out there that you can cycle through tracks by 'shaking' or 'flicking' the phone to go forwards through the tracks that are playing, since the iPhone has this technology built into it, I don't see why an app wouldn't do this. If the phone is locked like most do by auto locking after a minute to save battery life ...
Having to push the home button twice (while it's locked) to change a track can be annoying, also if your album art is in wide screen view, you have to put it back to non-wide screen view to skip a track which is quite annoying.
any ideas/apps out there that can do such a thing, I mean it's the selling point of the Sony Walkman phones these days, why shouldn't the iPhone adopt something similar?

Well of course, except if your not using the stock standard headphones that came with the iphone and instead some headphones that don't enclose in your ear which is actually bad for your inner ear with prolonged use.
Is there a plug that you can buy that will sit in the 3.5 m jack that will have that button functionality happen before I plug my own cans into it? this would also be handy for those using a 3.5 lead into their AUX inputs of car stereo's if you like me mount your iphone to your windscreen and auto lock it after 1 min

  • Downloaded a song from itunes and it ends almost 2 minutes early and skips to next track

downloaded a song from itunes and it ends almost 2 minutes early and skips to next track. I deleted the song and redownloaded it from the purchased section on the itunes store three times and still have the same problem. What is the solution?

Clear your web browser's cache, use Edit > Preferences > Advanced and tap the Reset cache button, delete the contents (if any) of ...\iTunes Media\Download, then try again.  If the problem persists contact the iTunes Store support staff through the report a problem links in your account history.

I had the same problem for about 2 weeks and just fixed it tonight! YEAH!! I followed the 5R's and the first 4 did nothing. So, I wasn't very hopeful for the 5th, but I made a back up of my library just in case, downloaded the latest version of iTunes and RESTORED my iPod back to the factory settings and it works beautifully now. No skipping on any songs at all. And, mine didn't matter if they my songs or iTunes songs, it did it to any song that it didn't like. Good luck!

  • TS3217 When I try to skip one song on my ipone, it skips through several. The songs that are skipped can be played on the same iphone if I go into my itunes and select that song. So this tells me that the song can be played, therefore, it is not the song.

When I try to skip through a song on my iPhone, it skips through several songs. The songs that are skipped can be played on the same iphone (when I go into to itunes library on my phone), so I know that it's not the song. I have the latest softeware downloaded on both my iphone and itunes. In fact, this only recently started occuring when I reconnected my iphone to my laptop about a month ago to install the new updates on itunes.
I also have an itouch and an ipod, both of which have been updated at the same time as my iphone and they do not skip through songs.

  • IPod Mini Skips Through Music

I am having a problem with my iPod mini. When I try to play any of the music loaded on it, it simply skips through each song without playing any of it. Any suggestions?

I tried that, and it didn't work. In addition, it will not allow me download music from my PC. Both features were working but are not now for some reason.
