Sky Go Desktop log in

Hi,       I have recently downloaded the Sky Go desktop app for my Mac as I will be travelling a lot soon and want to be able to watch films on my Mac offline on planes etc. When i try logging in to the app on my Mac, the sign in page remains after I have put in my details - with the loading circle remaining on the screen and never actually loading. I have left it on this screen for as much as half an hour to ensure that it does never load. I have uninstalled the app several times and reinstalled it but this hasn't resolved the problem. Any suggestions on how this can be solved? Cheers

Hopefully not for much longer though. I agree that the "wilderness months" since September 2014 (when Yosemite launched and the Mac version of the Sky Go Desktop stopped working for me) until about a month ago, when nothing seemed to be happening, were disappointing for Mac users. User "donfor" published a workaround on this board to get the old Sky Go Desktop working under Yosemite (if interested in trying it, you could look for it via the search facility) - I never had any luck with it but others did.

  • Sky Go Desktop - Cannot sign in to download.

    When downloading a programme or movie to watch later via the Sky Go desktop and then attempting to log into the desktop to begin the download,  I am getting error code c38740 which says my log in details cannot be saved.  However it does give me access and the programme to be downloaded is listed on the Sky Go desktop.   Then  after clicking on 'Cheque download' the programme does not begin downloading and  after a few moments it disappears from the Sky go desktop. Any ideas whats going on please?   This has only happened since getting Windows 10 at the weekend so no doubt that has something to do with it!

    Forgot to say I am using Internet Explorer not Edge.

      I am having a issue in collection of Cisco Finesse Desktop logs.
      I am refereing this guide Cisco Finesse Installation and Getting Started Guide Release 9.0(1) Page No 24.
      when i am using the command --file get activelog desktop recurs compress on the CLI of Finesse Server. First it was asked IP address of SFTP Server,
      then, Login ID and Password, then PORT, then location of root file, but i am not geting anything on that location of Log.
      I have attached her with the log file collection screen shot. Please have a look and suggest a solution.

    How do I go about turning off the the SYN Flood Detection Mode state in Option 2 on the UCCX Server.
    Option 2: Turn off SYN Flood detection mode. Risk: Leaves the server open to SYN Flood.
    I have checked and my Windows XP SP3 computer where Cisco Agent Desktop is installed has Windows Firewall set to off at the moment.

  • Does Apple Remote Desktop log "sent messages" and "chat" activity?

    We have a very important task of finding out if Apple Remote Desktop logs any/all messages that are sent through the "send message" or "chat" feature? Do you know where it would be stored? Thanks. Any/all input would be appreciated. (ARD 3.1 Admin and client)

    Do you mean the content of the message, or the fact that a message was sent? If you mean the content, then no, to the best of my knowledge ARD keeps no track of the content of messages or chat. If you mean tracking that a message was sent, then it might appear in the Console log, but I haven't tried it to test.

  • Sky Go Desktop v1 for OSX 10.6 - still available?

    Hi All. OSX 10.6.8 (the latest version my laptop can run). I recently had some laptop issues, so I am reinstalling some apps and things. I deleted Sky Go Desktop from my machine. Foolishly before checking to see if it was still available to download. However, I now cannot reinstall. The web page displays the message that Sky Go is already installed on this machine.
    It seems that after years of nothing beyond Snow Leopard being supported, my OS is no longer supported by Sky! So I am locked out. Is it possible to still download version 1 of the Sky Go app? It was working fine until a couple of days ago. I just need the app file again. Could someone provide it for me please? I don't mind about it being unsupported. It was working just fine for downloaded programs up until a few days ago before I had to reinstall things. 

    Those requirements are for the DVD version of it and not the Mac App Store version. Check sites such as Amazon or eBay for iWork 09 DVDs.

    Hi Ive downloaded sky go to my desktop but when i sign in its just haging and not doing anything. The log in is fine as i can log in everywhere else with sky. Im on OS X 10.10.2. Can you help?thanks

    If you had looked at the top of the board you would see there is a post regarding trials of a new version of the desktop download client for PC AND Mac.

    The window for applications may already have closed, I'm not sure, but either way a new version is most definitely in the pipeline.

    When I press Log On button is asking me about username, password and Report Server. Does anybody knows what address should I put in Report Server,?
    I'm using BI Publisher Desktop 5.6.3 and Oracle Apps.....I'm not using XMLP Enterprise.

    The report server expects the Url of the server - http://servernam:port/xmlpserver. The user/password you can try as Administrator/Administrator.
    By Oracle Apps do you mean EBS ? If so, BI Publisher Desktop does not integrate with EBS. You will have to work offline, ie, take a sample xml data and load the XML data from BI Publisher Desktop (Menu--> Oracle BI Publisher --> Data --> Load Sample XML data). Once the RTF template is ready, we need to upload the template using

  • Agent Desktop logging out frequently !!

    User is reporting that they periodically get logged out from the agent desktop application every 30 minutes. This happens frequently. A message appears on our desktop(cisco agent desktop application) in a grey box saying the time and connection lost

  • FMLECmd Disappears On Windows Remote Desktop Log-in

    I am using FMLE on a server I am accessing remotely using Remote Desktop. Both systems are running Windows XP SP-3. I have scheduled FMLELauncher to run on system startup in Scheduled Tasks and it runs every time. The problem I am having is the FMLECmd council disappears when I log in remotely. It is still broadcasting; I can see the indicator light on the cam, see the process running in task manager, and have conformed the stream is reaching the Media Server at ustream. It does not disappear if I log in locally but this is not an option most of the time as the server is not where I am. 
    Any Ideas on this one?

    Hi,
    did you try to check your sounds settings on Remote Desktop app?
    If you don't set "Play sound on Remote computer only", Remote Desktop will change the hardware profile on the remote machine to play sounds in your local pc and maybe this can be a problem with running FMLE instances...

  • Desktop logging off

    My desk top is logging out after about 10 minutes of inactivity. Why has this started happening. It was working fine whren I bought it in March. I have checked the settings and they are set to never turn off. I also checked my security and nothing indicates a change there. Please help I am a disabled senior and rely on my computer for everything.

    I have read your post on how your desktop keeps logging you off, even though your power settings are set to never turn off, and I would be happy to assist you in this matter!
    Additionally, I also suggest resetting the power settings on your computer by following the steps below:
    Step 1. Click the Start button
    Step 2. In the search box, type "Command Prompt"
    Step 3. Right-click Command Prompt
    Step 4. Click Run as administrator
    Step 5. At the command prompt, type powercfg /restoredefaultschemes and press Enter 
    If the hibernation mode still does not work on your notebook after the previous steps above, I recommend following this document on Resolving Problems with Sleep and Hibernate Modes (Windows 8).

  • Hot corners DESKTOP - logs me out

    Hi,
    Anyone seen a problem like this?  MBP late 2011, latest Mavericks.  Move to hot corner "DESKTOP", and kicks me out to the login prompt where I have to log back in to my account.  It does not happen each time I move tot he DESKTOP hot corner.  It is sporadic.  Any ideas?  Any logs I could provide?  The console syslogs are rather verbose.  I am trying to grab the log the next time it happens and will post here.  Thank in advance!

  • Remote desktop logs off local video

    I use rdp to control my computer movie server from my desktop. I log onto the movie server from my desktop via RDP and play the movie. This used to work fine until a few weeks ago. The server is win 2012 and the desktop is win7.
    Recently (after updates) this got messed up. Now when I log onto the movie server via RDP the projector displays a login screen (although the audio is still output). I have to log into the server locally to get video output. And this crashes the remote
    session (but it never used to).
    I want to to use the server headless but this has me stumped.
    Any help is appreciated.

    If this issue occurred after Windows update, we suggest restore your system to earlier time point then check the issue again.
    Try install update these update one by one manually, if the issue occurs again please hide that update and report the KB number to us.
    Check following condition
    Install the Desktop Experience feature.
    Enable the Allow audio and video playback redirection Group Policy setting.
    Set the maximum color depth to 32 bits per pixel.

    Thanks, after trying everything to get it working, I can't. I was trying to download some programmes for a flight and it was also to justify to the wife my mac book pro, oh well have got it working on my Ipad. Lets wait and see if SKY ever support it. Once again thanks
