Sky Player app on N8?

Is there a sky player app for the N8? i can see reference for the N97 but nothing in the OVI store for the sky player
anyone know?

hi there i have a N8 and couldnt find the sky mobile app to use on my mobile as I wanted to use the sky remote so i could program my sky+ box to record when I'm not at home. After trying Ovi store there isnt one on there for the N8 only the N97 so I looked up wot the message above said try looking for the x6 sky mobile and I found one that works on my N8 so thought I'd share it with everyone else. It is abit slow but it works for me here is the link and it asks what phone you have and I clicked NOKIA N97 as it dosnt give you the N8 option. I clicked on DOWNLOAD TO YOUR PHONE. then a box comes up with a website you have to on your phones internet broswer called (1mobile.com) and it gives you a code to put in when it opens up on your phone and it downloads straight to your phone and it works no problem for me. Playing sky sports app through my iPad to tv

Can not watch sky sports app from my iPad through the VGA adaptor to my tv, only sound comes out of tv and the picture just has sky sports on the screen, is there a setting to change this? Sky player and streaming video

I thought that once I had got fibre broadband I would see the end of sky player constantly buffering but alas this is not the case. Not only does it still buffer but the quality is rarely on full. Surely when getting 30mb or more I should not be suffering this now. I have reinstalled silverlight.
Also I am still having sync trouble with streaming video on all of my PC's. The sound gets a second or more out of sync with the video both on you tube and bbc iplayer. This happens on my xp and vista pcs. Anti virus is free avg.

When you start Sky Go (Player) do you leave the quality on Auto?? That is the default setting and I know you have good speed but there's a bug in the app, which has been around from day 1. Even my 76Mb down will buffer on the auto setting even though the usage shows anything from 2.8 to 5Mb, if you change this to High instead speed will show 1.9Mb+- and no buffering but with a lot better picture. I know it sounds crazy and Sky thinks the same no matter how many tell them it's happening.

sky twitter account a customer ask why sky go streams are worst then sd and yet bt and eurosports apps stream in hd. Reply from mod, oh thats easy the files for hd are some huge that sky go can't play them and no app can stream hd due to this and so when they say they are they're really sd streams, if there was any way around this we would have done it now.

hello,i am just posting this as i am interested in installing vista on a mac using bootcamp ,my question is do programs like sky player and 4od work in bootcamp,these are both downloads for tv in the uk,and does vista run the same as a pc in bootcamp ,many thanks

First of all you can't install software on the iPad. Secondly I suspect just like Flash the iPad does not support Microsoft's Silverlight. I think you may be out of luck unless Sky either provides support for an alternative that is compatible or an app that allows you to do the same thing.

My iPad 1 streams ABC player app to Apple TV but not consistently, need help troubleshooting.

I discovered a couple of weeks ago that the ABC Player app could be streamed from my iPad 1 to Apple TV, a pleasant surprise, but inconsistent. Last night when I tried it, no joy, just got the error message, no audio or video. However, then I tried the TNT app, and it worked perfectly (first time, another surprise), streaming both audio and video perfectly. I'm trying to figure out what I might be able to do to get the ABC app back on track. Anyone else had any success with this? I know this is not mirroring, the iPad 1 can't do that. Any help appreciated. My settings: Apple TV turned on and connected via HDMI cable, and the iPad set to Apple TV via the task bar. Home sharing turned off. Apple TV working fine for Netflix and for mirroring from iPhone 4s.

I just checked and ABC does not work over airplay. I do have an iPad 2 but I turned off mirroring in order to use it the same way an iPad 1 user would. You are right about the link so I have provided one that is up to date.

The error message is suspect though, as audio should still come through. I assume you've tried the basics (reboot, reset) for both devices. In regards to the video and why it worked that time, whatever the reason is due to something the developer has done.

1 Mount the Flash Player installer .dmg file
2 Copy the "Install Adobe Flash Player" file to desktop or any other directory as preferred
3 Open terminal and cd to desktop or the other directory
4 Run the following command on terminal: sudo ./Install\ Adobe\ Flash\ Player.app/Contents/MacOS/Install\ Adobe\ Flash\ Player
5 Insert the password when asked

Looking for a good music player app

Hi.
I have a problem. i'm looking for a good music player app for my new iphone (which i will buy my next month) in terms of playing music. after having 3 phones in the last 9 months i'm still unhappy.
Had a Samsung Galaxy Ace. sound was above average but due to underpowered processor + RAM (and Samsung stating they won't update the software anymore) i had to sell it.
Than had a Sony Ericcson Xperia Neo but felt the sound was "flat" and bland" and left me disappointed and uninspired coming from a well-known phone maker know for its audio & visual expertise.
Now, i currently have the HTC Desire S. umm although the sound was "Ok" with its usual pre-set equalizers (common among Android phones) and SRS sound enhancement it felt me wanting more and although i have the phone for a week now i would say "so far-so good."
but i heard the best music phones out there are those with either Beats Audio (which are very brand new) or the ones with Dolby Mobile.
had an iPod touch (4th-gen) and i was amazed and impressed by the sound quality.
so, if i can get away with a good music player app that recreates surround sound, has good preset EQ's along with customisable ones and one with Dolby-like support which app would you recommend?

Stock lock screen does not normally support 3rd party widgets so you wont find any third party players that allows you access while on lock screen.. Looking for a music player app for the ipad

Musician looking for music player app to play my sound library
Folders, set lists......ect.....
Must be able to automatically pause between songs, not like iTunes where you have to manually pause
I have to time to manually pause between tracks since i use this for my live performances.
All thoughts and advice welcome

Try making a 5 second blank .mp3 file or however long you need your pause to be between songs, then create a playlist and insert the blank .mp3 between each song. Just a thought to help save some money. I believe the DJay app allows this though, but you might want to ask the developer on their website before purchasing just to verify.

Here are the steps for AirPlay:
Before starting Azul from your (running iOS 5.x/6.x) home screen where have have all your apps we need to turn on mirroring
On your iPhone 4S/5 or iPad 2 or 3, double-click the Home Button to view your recently-used apps.
Swipe all the way to the right to until you see the icon.
Note: If the icon does not appear, go to the "If AirPlay Mirroring is not visible or available on your mobile iOS device" section.
Tap the icon to see the list of available AirPlay devices.
Enable AirPlay Mirroring in this menu by tapping on an available Apple TV, then sliding the Mirroring slider to ON.
Now you should be seeing your iPad/iPhone on your TV.
Start up Azul now and using the settings icon on the top right corner go to the option that say "TV out" ON.
When you do that you will see an Orange screen
Now click "Done" and play the video you want to watch and it will AirPlay

I update to os x 10.9.3 and now my dvd player app says it's not supported

I updated to os x 10.9.3 mavericks and now my dvd player app says it can't be used with os x 10.9.3(and the dvd player is 5.4,and can't find update in app store)

You can’t open the application “QuickTime Player.app” because it may be damaged or incomplete. So I tried to unistall QT and I get an error that says, You can not delete this application as it is a requirement for the OSX.
Well I did find a way to delete it, by going into the various components and one by one deleting it. Now I reinstall it and the message is that this Quick Time is for an earlier version before Maverick 7. SMH....Now what.?

Need an expert to help with DVD Player app crashing

I'm not sure why, but my DVD Player app won't launch. I don't think I added anything new that would cause this change. I tried restarting, repairing permissions, but beyond this I'm not sure where to go next. Can anyone make heads or tails from this and offer a suggestion?

Tried deleting the com.apple.DVDPlayer.plist preferences (found it in three different locations and trashed them all. Still no luck getting the DVD olayer to launch. Crashes immediately. Unfortunately, I have no idea what this is:

Any other suggestions would be great! I just don't know how to read these crash logs and am hoping someone who speaks that language could be of help. Anxiously awaiting a reply...

Whilst running Sky Go app to Apple TV I get good sound but no picture?

I'm running Sky Go app (via my iPhone 4) directly through Apple TV and although I get good sound from the TV I dont seem to be getting a picture - can anyone help please?
