SkyGo not working over 3G on iPhone 5S

I am puzzled as to why i cannot access any programmes via skygo over 3g. It gives me an error message: Location services. SkyGo is available in UK and ireland only.......e.t.cMy location settings are enabled and i am based in Essex, Colchester.I have tried uninstalling and installing the app again but to no benefit. BBC iPlayer and other services work fine.I havent tried it over WiFi but i don't think it makes a difference either way. Please provide me with a fix. Regards

Now that's odd!! I tried 4 times before posting and got the error every time over 3G. I have not restarted or reset my phone as I have not reinstalled the SkyGo app but now, just turned app on, switched to 3G and the movie started playing. All I got was the warning about data charges which I would expect. Strange but all seems ok now.
All it remains to do is call up and complain that I'm paying close to £70 a month and my father in law gets a call saying sign up and we will give you ful hd all channels for £25!!! Angry when I found out isn't the word!!!

I have i5 & recently updated to iOS7. Very frequently, my apps don't work over the 3G network, however, they do so over Wi-fi. Fb, emails, whatsapp and many more apps dont work over 3G. Safari works. Have tried resetting network settings and hard reset, but no solution. The trend for apps not working is very random, sometimes they do work, sometimes they don't. Its very irritating. Anybody with a solution.

you can choose which apps can use cellular data
may be you can recycle the switch for the suspect apps

Well to start your iPhone 4S does not have 4G... it just shows 4G at the top of the screen..
Try turning SIRI off and on.. if that does not work
Settings>General>Reset>Reset Network Settings..
Because SIRI is a network connection to a server nothing more.. it is not on your device so nothing is wrong with your phone..
Also SIRI is in BETA... and not 100%

Not only is it annoying and concerning...this is draining my battery, as the iPhone keeps waking up to display the message over and over. Like "MartinLegodi" above, I also have no cable or accessory plugged in and only use Apple cable and products when I do.
It's a disconcerting mystery.

I had the same issue until I updated my apps through iTunes. I had over 100 updates, but none of them showed on my iPod. After they updated everything started syncing like it is supposed. Go to the apps library and check for updates. After everything syncs leave your iPhone/ipod/ipad connected if the spinning arrows at the top is still spinning. It means that things are still being added. If you go to settings > general > about, you will see it loading songs, videos, photos, etc. If you back out of "about" and then go back to it you will see the numbers for each one change.

Since I downloaded the upgraded software, my charger that came with my phone says "this cable or accessory is not certified and may not work reliably with this iphone" It worked before but now it doesn't...I don't think I should have to buy a new one...

Try checking your cable socket/lightning cable for dirt, grime, pocket lint, etc. I could not find the solution to this issue myself and after much searching I found someone stating that cleaning this out helped them immensely.
After taking a wooden toothpick (making sure the phone was OFF first) and gently clearing out the edges and inside of the lightning socket this went away.) It is worth noting that I had a significant amount of dust or lint buildup along the edge rails which I think was causing the iphone to believe it was plugged into something when it was not.
Try it and see, ensure you are very careful and do not use any conductive tools to clean the area in question. Compressed air also does wonders here.

I have the same issue with Siri turning off the location setting for reminders. In fact my location based reminders do not work at all. IPhone 5s, ios 8.1, upgraded to 8.1.1 and that did not fix these issues.
SEems like Apple does not test the location setting every other upgrade to iOS. They break it, then fix it then break it etc...

The cable may be damaged. Try another cable.

Changing your password won't help. It is a touchscreen so if 7,8,9 are not working then that part of the screen will not work if you were to get it unlocked.

Buy one that is certified. Your current case might work without problems, and then might stop working in the future. iOS 7 is especially "sensitive" to uncertified peripherals. With this iOS release they have started to clamp down on "pirate" peripherals.
