Skype 2.6 for android download

update

Dear friend,
I found a very cool website: kccebde.com. which mainly sell electric products like laptop, phone, ipad, psp and so on. Their products are latest and the price is suitable. All of their products have IWS (international warranty service). And the express delivery is very fast, just takes 3 to 7 days. They ship worldwide. If you want to buy some products, it will be a good choice.
Yours sincerely!

Skype 5.5 for Android: Easier to Use = More Time to Chat
Today we’redelighted to announce Skype 5.5 for Android. In this release, we put extra focus on improvements that will make the app even easier to use, so you can spend more time chatting and sharing with people you care about most.
Simplified flow to sign back in
With the improvements we’ve made to battery use and notifications, you can comfortably leave Skype running on your Android devices without signing out. However, for those of you who still want to sign out, we’ve made it easier for you to sign back into the app. Skype now remembers your log-in details so you won’t need to. Just one tap on the arrow, and you’re in and ready to send IMs or make calls. You can also change the setting so thepassword is required every time you sign in. While signed in, just tap on the menu icon “...

Since updating, I've been locked out of both of my group chats, and messages in one on one chats are delayed horribly, both sending and receiving. I'll get an alert that a friend has sent me a message, open it, and nothing will be there. Messages that I send show up as pending for as long as half an hour. With group chats, I'll get alerts, but opening them will just lead me to the "recent chats" screen and the chat in question won't be there. There's nothing wrong with my internet/data connection, and all my other internet based apps work fine. I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling Skype and restarting my phone, but the problem persists.

  • No speaker enable option on Skype 4.4 for Android ...

Sound only works with the headset/earphone output on Skype 4.4 for Android tabets on the Nook HD+. There is no option to enable speaker sound. Moreover, Nook won't allow reinstallation of v. 3.2.x which did have speaker audio. Thank you for any suggestions.

The best place to get non probblem free Skype for Android device is Google  play store. uninstalled the formal app before reinstalling the new one...

  • Firefox Mobile for Android download link = FAIL... Yeah it doesn't work....

I've tried to download the beta with my phone, with firefox, and with IE. The link is broken, or non existent... I've tried it for about two weeks now.

The link to download Firefox from the Android Market will not work on phones with incompatible hardware. You can check if your phone is compatible here:
    https://wiki.mozilla.org/Mobile/Platforms/Android
Even on some supported devices, a bug in the Market software prevents Firefox from showing up. This may be related to the fairly recent Android Market app update. If you go to Settings/Applications/Market and choose "Uninstall" you can uninstall the update, and then search for and install Firefox from the marketplace.
Or, if you have a supported phone, you can download the app directly from here:
    http://ftp.mozilla.org/pub/mozilla.org/mobile/releases/4.0b3/android-r7/multi/
(Note: To download the app directly for an AT&T phone, you will have to search for instructions on "sideloading" the APK file, since AT&T disables the option to install from non-Market sources.)

  • Download Flash/AIR for Android, where?

When I go to Adobe's download center I don't get an option for Android download.
So from where exactly I can download Flash player and AIR for Android ?
    Thanks

Adobe Flash Player and AIR for Android are available directly from the Android Market on supported Android devices.  If you are unable to find Adobe Flash Player in the Market, the most likely reason is that your device does not meet the minimum system requirements.
Specifically, Flash Player requires a CPU with support for the ARMv7-A instruction set to achieve the level of performance required for acceptable multimedia playback.
Your device has an ARM11 CPU, which only supports the ARMv6 instruction set.
For future reference, Adobe maintains a list of devices certified to work with Adobe Flash Player and AIR here:
    http://www.adobe.com/flashplatform/certified_devices/
You might want to give Skyfire a try.  It uses "remote desktop" technology to render Flash animation and video in the cloud, for devices that are incapable of processing Flash content natively:

  • Skype for Android

I downloaded Skype for Android. The application dosen't show anywere. How can I start Skype?

It is indeed almost beyond belief that a company with the resources Microsoft has, has managed to release an app for production use which:
-Cannot be turned off (the point of your post). I'm seeing this as well. If I choose to "sign out", I will anyway be bothered with notifications and new messages again after about 10-15 minutes. It seems to run as a service in the background of the phone, and auto-signin if offline.
-Has the pretty much extremely serious bug of that the caller with some easy actions can lift the receiver on the called end, thereby enabling eavesdropping.
Even though these probably are unintentional "features", it's the kind of stuff you would expect to see in highly malicious spyware or viruses: sneaky application background persistence plus eavesdropping, not a funny mix. Very scary.
Skype android development team sure has work to do....

  • I downloaded Firefox for Android on my Galaxy Tablet 7.0. The browser works fine when I first open it. When not in use and try getting bk on, nothing loads up.

    SAMSUNG GALAXY TAB 7.0
I have downloaded Firefox for Android on my tablet and added some add ons. When first using the browser, it works great and loads up fast. Once I get off Internet and try getting back on at a later time(whether it be a minute or longer), I type in a Web page address and nothing loads up. How can I fix this.

  • How do I get Firefox for Android to download and install?

I had Firefox installed on my Android tablet, an Asus TF300T. I was notified there was an update so I clicked to let in install. I avoid auto updates as I need to use a website that is always a couple of versions behind in compatibility. Well, the update would not download and I tried several times. It just seems to time out (error 495 is reported). I tried uninstalling Firefox to attempt a fresh install. This has worked with other apps that were being difficult when installing updates. Now I still can't get Firefox for Android to complete a download in order to get it installed. What's the deal with this latest version? I'd like to get Firefox back on my tablet but the options are extremely limited and frankly the amount of help on the website is also extremely limited. Any help would be appreciated.

  • How to view pdf files without downloading them on firefox for android

I use an Electronic Medical Record program using Firefox for android on a a Samsung Galaxy Pro 12.2 tablet. I need to view patient pdf files on the tablet. So far, the only way I have been able to accomplish this is to download the file first. It would be more efficient if I could just view the pdf file on the Galaxy tablet without having to download it. Is it possible to do this with Firefox for android? Thanks.

Not in any reliable manner. There is PDF.js but it has not been optimized for Firefox for Android. https://github.com/mozilla/pdf.js/#firefox

  • The file to download the app for Android is not working from my phone--it says that the file isn't there. However it does see the one for the Iphone (even though it can't use it). I'm very computer literate and am pretty sure the problem is on your end.

The file to download the app for Android is not working from my phone--it says that the file isn't there. However it does see the one for the Iphone (even though it can't use it). I've tried it multiple times and continue to get the same message: "NOT FOUND The requested item could not be found". I also tried through the Market application on the phone but ended-up with the same result.
I'm very computer literate and am pretty sure the problem is on your end. If this is the case then no one can download the app. I considered that perhaps because it's still in Beta that it was removed due to some other type of software issue. I would really like to use Firefox on my new Droid (2.0); when with this be available?

Firefox will not appear in the Market for most phones with incompatible hardware. You can check if your phone is supported here:

Or, if you have a supported phone, you can download the app directly by typing this address into your phone's browser: http://bit.ly/fxbeta3

  • Is there a possibility to download files directly to the external usb drive in Firefox for Android?

I have the Android device that support external usb hard drive, when I want to download some files via Firefox there are only two possible "places" where I can put the files - external memory or SD card. It will be nice if there would be an option to save file on ext. usb drive.

    Hi Nix_N1:
Yeah I don't know about this and I don't have an Android device that supports USB storage.
What Android device are you using and what operating system (Jellybean? Ice Cream sandwich ?)
I asked the Mozilla QA folks and they said Firefox for Android uses the Android platform download directory so the USB drive *should* show up if it registers properly with Android.
    They suggested the following:
    # removing the SD card and seeing if it shows up in place of the SD card.
    # perhaps changing the following preference (type "about:config" in the url bar without the quotation marks)
    ''' browser.download.dir'''
will fix it ('''WARNING:untested and unsupported but hopefully this might help''')
Regardless I suggest filing a bug at (I looked but couldn't find a bug that corresponds to this):

  • How do I get Firefox for Android to OPEN a document instead of Download it?

I have an android tablet and am using a web application that has links to Word documents. I need this to be very simple for the end user. By default Firefox downloads the file (which is on a share on our server). The user then has to find it and open it - too many steps.
I cannot find Tools/Options/Application as there is on the Windows version.

  • Q&A with the team behind Skype for Android

Skype for Android is one of our most widely used mobile products. Over five hundred million installations of the app have taken place from the Play Store, so it has a lot of fans out there. That’s why the Skype Community wants to connect you with the people who make Skype for Android happen.
If you have questions about how the app works, what the team are working on at the moment, or what their favourite sandwich topping is, you’ll get a chance to ask them at our #SkypeFeedback live event.
To take part, all you need to do is head to the Android Live Event board which we’ve created for this, and post your Android-related questions there in preparation for the live event on 28/05/2015 at 5 PM GMT / 12 PM EST / 9 AM PST.
The event will last for 2 hours.
During the event the Skype for Android team will work through your pre-submitted questions, and we’ll add in questions that come through on Twitter using #SkypeFeedback. All questions and answers will be gathered in the Skype Community group for easy reading after the event.
This event with the team who are responsible for Skype for Android follows on from a previous event with the team that maintain Skype Support.
So even if you’re not an Android user, make sure to follow @SkypeSupport or keep an eye on the Skype Community for future events with other development teams at Skype.
