Yes, It works.
Solution:
1. Exit and uninstall skype completely.
2. Remove all other settings and data from "C:\Users\admin\AppData\Roaming\Skype\"
3. Restart Computer
4. Download latest version of skype and install it again.
There was some issue with existing settings saved in AppData Skype directory. When deleted, it reset everything and new installtion setup it again with default settings.

Reinstall OS X without erasing the drive
    1. Repair the Hard Drive and Permissions
Boot from your Snow Leopard Installer disc. After the installer loads select your language and click on the Continue button. When the menu bar appears select Disk Utility from the Utilities menu. After DU loads select your hard drive entry (mfgr.'s ID and drive size) from the the left side list.  In the DU status area you will see an entry for the S.M.A.R.T. status of the hard drive.  If it does not say "Verified" then the hard drive is failing or failed. (SMART status is not reported on external Firewire or USB drives.) If the drive is "Verified" then select your OS X volume from the list on the left (sub-entry below the drive entry,) click on the First Aid tab, then click on the Repair Disk button. If DU reports any errors that have been fixed, then re-run Repair Disk until no errors are reported. If no errors are reported click on the Repair Permissions button. Wait until the operation completes, then quit DU and return to the installer.
If DU reports errors it cannot fix, then you will need Disk Warrior and/or Tech Tool Pro to repair the drive. If you don't have either of them or if neither of them can fix the drive, then you will need to reformat the drive and reinstall OS X.
    2. Reinstall Snow Leopard
If the drive is OK then quit DU and return to the installer.  Proceed with reinstalling OS X.  Note that the Snow Leopard installer will not erase your drive or disturb your files.  After installing a fresh copy of OS X the installer will move your Home folder, third-party applications, support items, and network preferences into the newly installed system.
Download and install Mac OS X 10.6.8 Update Combo v1.1.

  • Gray Screen Can't Log in Can't Reinstall OS X

I have a MacBook Pro from 2012 That is getting stuck on the gray screen with the apple logo. Originally, it was giving me a circle with a line through it, then a file with a question mark. Now it is the apple. I have tried Com R, but it won't let me do anything to the disk (delete the data). When I click reinstall OS X it says "Select a Disk" but does not give me any disk options. I cannot boot in safe mode. I cannot boot directly to the OS X Install Disk (Either Snow Leopard or the General Install)

I had a similiar problem, try booting via single user mode. There are instructions all over the web so I won't go into that here. If you can boot with that it isn't your HD.
My guess is it is the GPU. You will need the logic board replaced. Try and get it sent to the Depot vs in house. A lot cheaper and it they will replace anything that was broken. My 2011 MBP did the same thing, Couldn't log in or get past the grey no mans land. I had some green horizontal lines go through my screen on occasion prior to the GPU getting fried. Just weird stuff which should have told me something was wrong but 20/20
Replaced the logic board and it works like a charm

  • IPhone stuck on gestures (Pinch) screen - can't power off

Hi hi - My home button died a few days ago so I've been using the Accessibility version, the onscreen white spot.
While adding new gestures via the "spot", the Gestures menu froze with only the Pinch option showing in the top-left (but not functioning). The menu is now laid over my lock screen (my phone autolocks after two mins) and I can't cancel it, select any gestures, unlock my iPhone or even power it off - holding down the power button produces the regular "Slide to power off" bar but the Gestures menu is preventing me from sliding it.
I'm effectively stuck with an iPhone that won't turn on or off, with a full battery that's not going to die for days.
Has anyone else experienced this issue?
    Many thanks.  ^___^

Hold home and power button for 20 seconds. If this is not working because home button is stuck try to connect iPhone to iTunes and restore iPhone.

  • Desperate for help - stuck on grey apple screen, can't start from dvd

Hi, any help would be very much appreciated. My computer locked up a few times so I restarted and tried to repair permissions but got the message repair failed. I did a restart several times and it would immediately freeze, tried zapping pram but not luck. I was able to boot from the install dvd to try to repair disk but got the error first aid failed.
I was going to resintall the system but now it won't even let me start up from the dvd, it just gets stuck on the grey apple logo screen and the fan seems to be very loud. I tried doing the reset open firmware and also the fscky reset and even tried loggin in as single user but it locked up there also.
Any other ideas? I tried starting by holding Command-Option-Shift-Delete" to bypass booting from the harddrive no luck there either.
I'm a bit panicked since I'm a freelancer on a deadline tommorrow and am really stuck. I do have a time machine backup but can't even start up from dvd to try to do an install.
    Thanks in advance!!
    JEff

I got it to start up from the DVD finally, but it gave me an error while trying to install the system. I tried disk repair and repair permissions but they are both greyed out. When I click verify disk it gives this error: "filesystem verify or repair failed."
Since its booting from the disk now, i'm guessing its not a power supply issue but I can't think of what else to try at this point. I'm pretty desperate to get this baby going asap so any help would be great, thanks!!

  • My iPhone is stuck at a black screen can you fix it ?

can you fix my phone when is stuck at a black screen

Hold the HOME and SLEEP buttons at the same time until an Apple logo appears (10-15 seconds).

  • Mouse stuck on login screen, can't log in and use!

The headline is pretty much it

    Hey Dolev1991,
First, I would reset your NVRAM / PRAM to see if that resolves the issue:
    Shut down your Mac.
Locate the following keys on the keyboard: Command (⌘), Option, P, and R. You will need to hold these keys down simultaneously in step 4.
    Turn on the computer.
Press and hold the Command-Option-P-R keys before the gray screen appears.
Hold the keys down until the computer restarts and you hear the startup sound for the second time.
    Release the keys.

  • Blue Screen - Can't Log on to my Account

Suddenly, I cannot log on to my Mac - G4 Tower - OSX 10.4.7. When I switch it on, all I get is a blue screen - after the "starting MAC OS X" box and the spinning gear. The Mac is set up so that my account automatically logs on but nothing happens - the screen flashes and the spinning gear re-appears frequently but I cannot log on. I have started in single user mode and run fcsk -fy; but this had made no difference.
I have started in SAFE MODE and can log on using another account (Supervisor) but when I try to log on to my account, I return to the log on screen which still says SAFE MODE.
From the Supervisor account I cannot access the Login items for my own account, so I'm not sure how I can check them and remove anything I think is causing the problem.
I'm beginning to think that my account is corrupted in some way but really have no idea what to do next. Can anyone help please?
    Thanks in advance.

    hi cliff--
do you mean you went through the steps i suggested, or all the ones in the article? if you went through all the steps in the article, and it still isn't working, you should archive and install your operating system. this should allow you to access your account again. steps for the archive are outlined here. http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?artnum=107120. make sure you repair the disk beforehand with disk utility, and run software updates afterwards to bring the operating system up to the current version, or things may not work properly. you will have to reinstall any third party software. • Skype stuck on "signing in..."

I've been having a problem that seems to be a common issue on the forums for many Skype users.  My Skype just stays stuck on the blue "Signing in..." screen whenever I try to log on, with the white circle just continuously spinning.  For me the issue started about a month to a month and a half ago. I am running Windows Vista with the most updated version of Skype.   My Internet Explorer is 9.0.8112.16540 Can anyone help?

    1)  You can try the following:1. Open Run command (pressWin+R buttons) and in the window copy/paste:%localAppData%\Skype\Apps\and hit Enter. Location will be opened in File Explorer.2. Delete everything from that folder.3. Quit and restart Skype. Skype login window should be displayed correctly allowing you to enter your Skype credentials PLUS 2) Try now this: Go to Windows Start -> All Programs -> Accessories -> Right click on Command Prompt, select 'Run as administrator'. The Command Prompt window should show: C:\Windows\System32> If this is not the case, then in the Command Prompt type:  cd c:\windows\system32 and press Enter. Type this and then press Enter: regsvr32  jscript.dll Next type this and press Enter: regsvr32  jscript9.dll After each Enter you should receive a message saying that DllRegisterServer in XXX.dll succeeded. Reboot your computer. Make now the test showing if your Internet Explorer can execute JavaScript. Open in your Internet Explorer (no other browser but only IE) this page: http://www.mistered.us/test/alert.shtml Click on the “Simply Click This Button” button and watch the response. I DID THIS 2 THINGS, this helped me.
    TRY IT ! ! !  100% WORKED FOR ME.

    Try:
    - iOS: Not responding or does not turn on
    - Also try DFU mode after try recovery mode

    - If not successful and you can't fully turn the iOS device fully off, let the battery fully drain. After charging for an least an hour try the above again.
    - Try on another computer
    - If still not successful that usually indicates a hardware problem and an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is in order.

  • 10.5.4 Update, has me stuck restarting over and over to the sign-in screen.

    Hi,
I updated both my iMac and iBook using Software Update and downloaded 10.5.4. The iMac was smooth sailing, the iBook pretty much rough seas. The iBook is stuck in a restart cycle, I sign-in and Mail comes up as is the norm, then a spinning beach ball for a few minutes and back to the sign-in screen. I have repaired permissions using the OS disc, still no way to get the iBook to start up correctly.
    The iBook is a G4.
    Solutions?
    Cheers.

Also, PubSubAgent comes up just like this:
    http://www.mmisoftware.co.uk/weblog/?p=293
Very odd. Perhaps an Archive and Install is in order?
    Cheers.
