Skype 7.2.0.103 IM pending

I cannot chat.
When I send IM message they keep loading as shown in the attached image.
Any suggestions?

Is your connection status on Skype Online? The status icon next to your name must be solid green with a white checkmark inside.

  • Skype 7.2.0.103 Does not install

    I kept getting a message to update Skype but when I tried, it told me I could not remove an old version and crashes. However and this is a method I have posted before. and I have now had to use again. 
    First I download the msi file direct, not sure if Skype alows it, because the download section says off limits, however this link will get you the MSI File

    And then you download the MSI extractor, free called lessmsi-v1.2.0 and extract the file to a folder. 
    Then you go to your program files and rename the Skype directory Skype Bak (just in case)
    In the extracted folder you find the phone directory and copy it to your programs Skype directory, and delete everything in it except the cab file and the Skype.exe
    And then your Skype exe will work with the latest version of Skype, no install failures. 
    If you're confident it is all happy, delete, or backup your Skype Bak folder

    Latest download upgrade still does not install,
    tells me older version 7.3 could not be removed, that is because I only had 7.2 and was trying to install 7.3 
    So back to the above instructions and use this link http://download.skype.com/msi/SkypeSetup_7.3.0.101.msi
    And you can install Skype upgrade.

  • Skype ver7.2.0.103 keeps crashing

    every time I am on secondlife.com and try to open skype it crashes my computer and shuts everything down. this only started when I downloaded the latest version of skype can someone help and tell me which version to use?

    Please,  run the DirectX diagnostics tool.
    Go to Windows Start  and in the Run box type dxdiag.exe and press the OK button. This will start the DirectX diagnostics program. Run this diagnostics and save the results to a file. Please, attach this file to your post.
    Be aware that you will have to zip this file before attaching it here.

  • Logitech c920 Webcam not Detected in Skype 7.6.0.103

    My Logitech C920 Webcam was working perfectly...and still works on all other apps on my PC (Windows 8.1) desktop.....but now Skype does not detect the webcam at all so no video calls.  I'm missing my grandsons...  Can anyone help me? Thanks.Michael...

    Hi, I recently purchased a Western Australian Skype number and the order is pending for almost a week. Is there a way to find out if there is a problem with payment? How do i cancel order and purchase again? Thanks.

    Please check first with the issuer of whatever payment method you used to ensure there are no issues on their side.  If you used a third party payment method such as PayPal, check with them, as well.
    Then, please contact Skype Customer Service to enquire if there are error messages or any other payment processing problems.

    After login sound and two seconds of loading, the Skype windows cease to respond and Skype will crash when one clicks on any Skype window. I am using Skype version 7.6.0.103. The problem began on Skype 7.2, but I uninstalled that and installed Skype 7.6.0.103. The problem persisted and I reinstalled Skype 7.6.0.103 which still did not help. Copy-pasted from Event Viewer -> Custom Views -> Administrative Events -> General Tab:--------------------------------------------------------------------The program Skype.exe version 7.6.0.103 stopped interacting with Windows and was closed. To see if more information about the problem is available, check the problem history in the Action Center control panel.

  • Skype number still not working

    I am have been subscribing to a Skype number, but when I call it an automated female voice answers the number despite that I have been trying to reset it by switching Skype privacy settings. When I call from Skype to my phone a caller id number that I don't know shows on my phone.

    i'm waiting for almost 2 weeks on my online Skype number subscription. It says: "Pending".  What is going on there? If my number has not been activated for tomorrow, I will ask paypal to return the money and I will buy a phone at my own provider! Skype Support, skype live support.. nothing is working here. Grr.. I get almost regret registration with Skype. I hope someone can help me.

    Your account shows 2 payment applications for your Number and 1 expired Number. Skype has sent both payment applications to PayPal but they haven't yet processed them.

  • Installing skype windows 8 1

    I recently received a msg saying my old version of skype would no longer function and i would have to update to the new version. so i tried...... many many times. i followed all the appropriate links and downloaded all i needed to download but it the end it either wouldn't let me sign in, or (as it did on the first couple of attempts) it loaded skype and let me use it but skype would not open again having been closed, in these cases i was directed to update my skype.. again. I`m finding it hard to believe that  there are so many problems with a program that is owned by Microsoft. Does anybody know of a fix ???

    Again Skype installer did not work for latest version Skype 7.3.0.101 for Windows XP but this time I know it is a Skype problem and not me or my computer, because it failed again and told me that an older version Skype 7.3 could not be removed, I am not surprised, I only had 7.2 at the time, and 7.3 was what I was trying to install. So Mr Skype/Microsoft, you still have some work to do. However my original solution of the get around does still work, and I use it instead.   • How can I get past the "time to dowload the new Skype app" since I don't want to?

    This message come up when I open Skype: "time to dowdload the new Skype app". I started to download it but in reading the fine print it seems to be a subscription that I'm going to be paying for.   • Skype Crashing on outbound calls (but not inbound)...

    I have been experiencing a very weird one-directional issue with outbound video calls crashing within 3-5 seconds of successfully connecting, but no issues when receiving a video call request and/or upon successful connection of the inbound video call. 
    I have tried the following:
    a) updated skype version
    b) applied windows essential updates
    c) updated graphics card driver
    d) skype is not in compatibility mode
    e) restarted windows

    If Messenger Plus is not istalled on your computer, then you might have the same DirectShow filters, which used to be installed with Messenger Plus, but in your case, installed by another similar application.

  • Skype maxes a cpu core periodically for several seconds and does not respond

    Skype 7.7.85.103 uses a lot of cpu periodically, and is not reacting for several seconds.
    I am not sure, if this is related to advertisements changing in these intervals, but if it is, then this should not be happening.
    I already did a clean install (inclusive removing EVERYTHING from the registry), and it did not help.
    I tried as administrator - once again, it did not help.
    It is less visible when I am connected to a powersource, as the cpu is then going faster, but it still happens.
    And it is not the first version that has had this problem.
    In case it may help, there is the dxdiag.txt attatched.
