Skype account changed name, removed contacts

Hello,
my problem is simple. Yesterday when i logged in my account loaded different user as me... There is my email and my profile description but another Name and picture. That is not too bad it can be changed, but all my contacts disapeered and loaded only one contact that is not mine. So i asking for some support because there is no way how i could fix it myself. I've tried it on many devices, windows, iOS, Android and it is always the same.

Try to logout then login again first. Now, if it still displaying another display name and contact list, immediately run a full antivirus scan, change your password, then contact customer service for further assistance;

IOS 6 - Change names in Contacts, won't reflect on text msg

Is anyone else having this problem since updating? I change friends names in my Contacts to how I want them to appear, but my phone refuses to show them that way on text messages conversation for only a handful of people. For example, I have a friend I changed from "Michael" to "Mike" in my contacts, but then no matter what I do, he always shows up as "Michael" on our text messages. While on the other hand, I changed "Andrew" to "Andy" and he shows up correct in my text messages with no problem. It's hit or miss...
This is MOST irritating because my own fiance's name is wrong!! And I can't fix it! I keep changing it to the way I had it before I updated, "(heart symbol)Wes" but it automatically changes it to "Wes Jr Last Name", presumably because it linked to Facebook, but that's not even the way his Facebook name is (which is accurate -- Wes Last Name, Jr.".
It's in my Contacts the way I want it, but it just WILL NOT change on our text messages. It's driving me crazy!
I really do like that it synced with Facebook, but if it's going to mess up all of my contacts, it's just not worth it. Could I turn it OFF now? Or is it permanent?

I have the solution for this, so please full attention here to get it correctly. I found the steps from the iOS 6 manual.
Link a contact: Edit a contact, tap Edit, then tap and choose the contact entry to link to.
Linked contacts aren’t merged. If you change or add information in a unified contact, the
changes are copied to each source account where that information already exists.
If you link contacts with different first or last names, the names on the individual cards won’t
change, but only one name appears on the unified card. To choose which name appears when
you view the unified card, tap the linked card with the name you prefer, then tap Use This Name
For Unified Card.
View contact information from a source account: Tap one of the source accounts.
Unlink a contact: Tap Edit, tap , then tap Unlink
First Step: Edit contacts
Second Step: Scroll down & Click + symbol
Third Step: Click linked contacts (choose your contact that you want to be linked if the contact you are in)
Fourth Step: Click done
Fifth Step: Go to LINKED CONTACTS
Sixth Step: Choose your prefer name ex. Facebook: Taylor Rocker
                                                                    iCould: Taylor Swift
Seven Step: EXAMPLE: I choose iCould to be my prefer name.
                     Click on iCould: Taylor Swift
                    There will be a new button appear which is "Use This Name For Unified Card"
                     FYI: IF FACEBOOK NAME AND ICOULD NAME ARE THE SAME OR A BIT DIFFERENT, YOU CANNOT CHOOSE WHICH NAME YOU WANT TO BE APPEAR.

Removed Podcast, Failing to Re Sumbit, Tried changeing name, Removed Podcast, Failing to Re Sumbit, Tried changeing name

I submitted a podcast a few weeks ago, but the title was wrong and I wanted to change some other things. Couldn't figure out how to do it. Emailing apple got no response. Then asked for podcast to be taken down so i could resubmit. Podcast was removed from store.
In attempting to resubmit the podcast I keep getting feed already exists errors, even though it is no longer in the store.
Tired changing Feed Name and Url many times. I am using Feed Burner.

I have tried many different options and name combinations for the Feed Address name with nothing working.

There is a bug in the automated part of the submissions process which will tell you that a feed has already been submitted even if it's been removed from the Store. The workaround is to change the title, and if possible the link tag and the feed URL. You can always change the title back afterwards as long as doing so doesn't change the feed URL (it some cases it will and Blogger may be one of them, but if you are submitting the Feedburner version you can sort that out in Feedburner). You can't get round this by any other method.
If you create a weblog in Blogger the feed contain all the episodes, not just those with media: it's better for your podcast feed to be only podcasts and to keep a weblog separate. You could start an entirely new blog to be just the podcast, and keep the existing one for non-podcast episodes.
The 'enclosure' tag in the feed contains the URL of the media file and is required for iTunes. One of your episodes does have this - '1 - Gods Of Earth 09/02/12' - so whatever you did there is what you should be doing. Your descriptions in a podcast feed should be kept reasonably brief and shouldn't contain links - iTunes won't display them as working links.
You might find it helpful to look at my page on podcasting - http://rfwilmut.net/pc - which contains a sample basic feed. You aren't writing your own feed, and you can't amend the one you have directly, so it's not directly relevant: but it would just give you an idea of how the process works and what you should be looking for. I can't advise on the specifics of making a podcast in Blogger.

Here is a list of steps to take:
Change your Skype account password immediately if you have not already done so.
If you have any saved payment methods in your Skype account, change that account password as well!
Change your e-mail account password.
Ensure all updates and patches are installed on your computer.
Run your preferred anti-virus/malware/spyware program using the most recently available virus signature files available.
I am sure your have notified your contacts of the fraudulent message ...

Skype account conflict!

Now I have one Skype name and another Skype account. I experienced problems with my Skype and eventually opened another account.
Recently i ve got a new laptop and sign in with my Skype account, which is [Removed for privacy], but Skype outomatically pick up the skipe account [Removed for privacy] and choose that as skype account.

I bought Unlimited International Calling credit $14.00 and $5.79 credit, its not working.
Under Purchase Histore in my Skype account, only the $5.79 appears. why not the Intern calling credit?

Please contact Skype Customer Service directly to sort this as subscriptions need to be cancelled on the account you do not wish to use, and you need to file your request to remove/cancel/close a Skype account directly with Skype Customer Service. Skype is aware of continuing website problems. If you experience difficulty reaching Skype Customer Service or find yourself redirected back to the Community, please try again using a different web browser and choosing a different path through the various drop-down menu options presented.

148 skype accounts linked to my e-mail address

I've recently received a "thank you for changing your Skype e-mail address" into my inbox. I never used Skype, so I didn't agree to any terms&conditions. There are no admin contact details on Skypes website, so I log into the "change password" to get the password changing token and then remove this account myself. I just didn't expect to see 148 accounts linked to my e-mail.
I've tried to send an e-mail to support via the form, but of course it doesnt't work either.
Any hints? I will remove the accounts one by one manually if there is no other way. If it contains any personal data I shall post them in this feed.

You will need to proceed through each step, one at a time. Sign on to the Skype website as requested. Choose the subject and topic which most closely matches the item you need assistance with. Can't link Microsoft account to Skype account, sam...

I signed up for skype in 2008. Downloaded the app some years later and started using on electronic devices. Bought credit through iTunes. On sept 26th received 3 strange emails from skype telling me that 1. my “skype credit active again,” 2. “currency conversion from USD to EUR was successful,” and 3. “registered email changed to [e-mail removed for privacy and security].” None of these changes were brought on by me so I went about getting my account frozen/released.
In trying to deal with this hacked Skype account, I had to create a Microsoft account. I used the same email tied to the hacked Skype account – [e-mail removed for privacy and security]. When I tried to linking this Microsoft account to my Skype username, it didn’t recognize my password so I reset it. My Skype username didn’t recognize the reset password, only the Microsoft account registered to e[e-mail removed for privacy and security] allowed me to use the reset password.
My question is how can I link the two if I can’t get access to my old Skype account. My “new” Microsoft account uses my old address but now has live: in front of it, but has none of my old account history, contacts, information etc…I have tried reinstalling the programs on all devices but am never prompted to link accounts as seen in tutorials. Even if I were, I wouldn't be able to sign in to my Skype account.

From the description I understand that you're having problems switching your local account to a Microsoft account and are receiving the error message: "The password you signed in with is different from your password for your Microsoft account".

If you no longer wish to use a particular Skype account, you can remove your profile information from our contact search results and do not sign in using the account login details anymore.
To do so in Skype for Windows, just click on Skype > Profile > Edit your profile...
To do so in Skype for Mac, click on File > Edit Profile… > Show profile..

How to delete old skype accounts

When skype asked me to change my pasword, it said that I have now 7 skype accounts. I made them on older computers. I only need one of them, and want to delete all the old ones, so that if people are trying to find me, they only see my current account.How do I proceed? thanks

Skype Account contact list and skype name changed

Hi!
I have been actively using my skype account again lately and one time last week when I signed in, I just cannot. My username and password are correct. And so what I did was to reset my password. I was able to reset my password through my email and when I signed in to Skype, I found out that my skype account was "hacked", I think. My skype name, profile photo and contact list changed into somebody else's account.
I just want to ask what has happened to my account? Why did that happened? The username and contact list that appears to my account, I think, was leggit and not an act of hacking. Could it be possibly that our accounts switched?

Your report reads to me like your account was compromised (hacked). If you still have control of it, sign on to the account dashboard and change your account's registered e-mail address to something else, and then change the password.
Also, as a proactive measure, ensure your computer's software and patches are updated, and run your preferred anti-virus/malware/spyware program using the most recent virus signature files available.

Getting contacts in my Skype account that I didn't...

I use the Skype app on my Windows 8 Laptop. For the past 2 months, random contacts have been appearing in my Skype contact list. I never added these contacts nor did I received a request to be added. These contacts were just added without my consent or knowledge. Ironically, the contacts are of old classmates of mine. But still, I am not sure why random contacts are being added. My Skype account is only linked to my Microsoft account. Years ago, it was linked to my Facebook account but I delink it and deleted my Facebook account years ago.
So far 3 contacts have been added. And I manually had to delete all 3. Since I opened Skype several years ago, I have changed my email recently. The new email that is linked to my Skype account is a new account and I removed the old email account that I opened Skype with. And no one has the new email so it is not possible that they are searching for me with my old or new email.
