My Ipad was hacked. I can not use it. What should i do?

Then call Apple and speak to someone in account security. Someone has logged on to iCloud using YOUR Apple ID and used Find my iPad to lock the device. They are now, apparently, trying to collect a ransom from you to release it.
The device was not hacked. Your account was. If you had set up two factor authentication, that wouldn't have been possible. You should really do that after you get this fixed.
You may also want to report the extortion attempt to the police.

I want to know the questions and protection for my account because my account is locked I can not buy please help

The page that you posted from tells you how to reset them i.e. if you have a rescue email address (which is not the same thing as an alternate email address) set up on your account then steps 1 to 5 half-way down that page should let you reset them.
If you don't have a rescue email address (you won't be able to add one until you can answer 2 of your questions) then you will need to contact iTunes Support / Apple to get the questions reset.
Contacting Apple about account security : http://support.apple.com/kb/HT5699
When they've been reset (and if you don't already have a rescue email address) you can then use the steps half-way down the HT5312 page that you posted from to add a rescue email address for potential future use

    Hi,
Check the table V_554S_O for the particular Absece type which u might wrong screen Number
    Change that field to 2001..
Or it may have happened that some mandatory field has been changed / hidden by screen modification in T588M and T588N tables for IT2001.

  • TS3276 Mail account set up. Can not receive mail-Everything is green in Connection doctor but when checking activity it shows stop signs.  Was able to receive mail until last week  then all of a sudden stopped receiving mail but no changes were made.

My mail account has been set up and working to send and receive mail for several months.  All of a sudden I can not receive mail.  The connection doctor shows all green lights.  No changes have been made and nothing has been changed on preferences on IMAP and SMTP.  I can send mail.  My other accounts all send and receive mail.  When you click on activity the list shows stop signs. All accounts show that they are online.

    UPDATE:
I deleted all the messages off the server of the offending email address and everything works fine now.

  • HT5312 My hotmail has been hacked and I can not access it I want to change my id but can not recall my security questions

My hotmail account has been hacked trying to reset with different email but can not remember security questions set up.
    What do I do?

You need to ask Apple to reset your security questions; ways of contacting them include phoning AppleCare and asking for the Account Security team, clicking here and picking a method for your country, and filling out and submitting this form.
They wouldn't be security questions if they could be bypassed without Apple verifying your identity.

  • Skype Account HACKED

I have had someone gain unauthorized access to my Skype account.  This is insane, because I knew I was being targeted by a hacker, and went to ehosts Live Support to tell them.  I also told them NEVER TO CHANGE THE REGISTERED EMAIL ON MY ACCOUNT.  They said they made a note on my account and that they would not change the email, no matter who came into their live support.
Here I am today, and what did Skype support do?  They CHANGED THE REGISTERED EMAIL FOR THE HACKER.  He did NOT HAVE ACCESS TO MY EMAIL ACCOUNT.  YET, YOU STILL CHANGED IT FOR HIM??  Skype is an absolute JOKE.  This service is absolutely garbage.  You should be ashamed of the horrible security.
    My account =---
    My registration email = ---
This email was completely secret.  This means that the hacker had no way of knowing my email address (unless one of your retarded agents told him the address).  My passwords are secure, my email is secure.  The only thing that is compromised is my Skype account, because Skype allowed someone to change the email on my account WITH MINIMAL INFORMATION ABOUT MY ACCOUNT.
He is now costing my business hundreds (possibly thousands) of dollars by SCAMMING my CONTACT LIST.
First things, first: for your safety and protection, please never, ever include any personally identifiable information such as your real name, Skype account name, e-mail address, or a telephone number in a post on a public Community or forum such as this.

afaik, users can only change their registered email address (1) if they supply the current password of the account in question (2) or contacting support and answering verification questions to prove that they are the owner of the account [in cases if the user don't remember their password or no longer have access to the account/registered email address].  Such verification questions are quite difficult to answer even for the account owner themselves at certain times (as what can be seen in other threads in this forum).
You may need to contact customer support again, and perhaps can ask for a senior rep/supervisor to handle your concern.
IF YOU FOUND OUR POST USEFUL THEN PLEASE GIVE "KUDOS". IF IT HELPED TO FIX YOUR ISSUE PLEASE MARK IT AS A "SOLUTION" TO HELP OTHERS. THANKS!

  • Unauthorized charges and Skype account hacked into...

    Hi all-
There were 2 times that my Skype account charged money to my username without me knowing, under the auto recharge, and this happened after a bunch of hacked text messages with a Russian phone number drained my Skype account of funds.  Now its saying my accoun is locked so obviously something is up.
Has this ever happened to anyone else?  I've been trying to reach someone at Skype to discuss this and there is no contact info or fraud dept listed.  Please pass on any Skype corporate info you may have...
    thanks!

Hi, Greggarry, and welcome to the Community,
These types of reports typically appear on the Skype Account: Security, Privacy, Trust & Safety message board.  To release your account, you will need to contact Skype Customer Service, as you know.  Once you have your account restored, change the password as well as that of the saved payment method you have on file.  You may also consider contacting the payment method issuer to report the fraudulent purchases; most credit card companies do not hold their customers liable for fraudulent payments if reported shortly after the incident.
Here is a link to the instruction on how to contact Skype Customer Service via their secure portal: Contact Customer Service
A few more notes to guide you along the way ...
You will need to proceed through each step, one at a time. Sign on to the Skype website as requested. Choose the subject and topic which most closely matches the item you need assistance with. Then, continue past Step 2 of the instruction where several articles from the FAQ library will appear for you to review, and proceed to Step 3, Continue Support Request (the blue "button" appears at the lower right corner of the website page). You may also skip through Step 4 where you will be referred back here to the Community; no need to do this as the Community is where you started. When you complete the webform and click Submit, your information is relayed to Skype and you will receive a reply via e-mail.
If you are a Skype Premium or other eligible customer, you will be routed to start an instant message chat session with a Customer Service agent.
    Regards,
    Elaine

  • Skype account hacked, hacker used my skype to buy ...

Someone broke into my account, and bought 90 euros worth skypecredits,
Is there a way to get my money back? I  didnt use ANY of it yet.

Hi, TheEmperor123, and welcome to the Community,
This FAQ article provides next steps:
    https://support.skype.com/en/faq/FA10946/what-should-i-do-if-my-account-is-suspended-hacked-or-compr...
Please see the section titled, "Hacked Accounts."  Please also sign on to your Skype account dashboard to ensure that your account's registered e-mail address is correct and accurate.  Change your account password if you have not already done so - the easiest way to accomplish this is from within the software or app.  In the Windows Desktop version, it's Skype -> Change Password.
You will be directed to contact Skype Customer Service for assistance.  These tips may be helpful as Skype is experiencing continuing problems with the websites:   If you experience difficulty reaching Skype Customer Service or find yourself redirected back to the Community, please try again using a different web browser and choosing a different path through the various drop-down menu options presented.
Also, look to approve a pop-up dialogue box which would connect you to start an instant message chat with a customer service agent. If you have pop-ups blocked in your browser settings, this will also block reaching an agent.
Last and not least, when you reach the last step of the process, remember to click on the "Start Chat" link when you are provided the choice of visiting the Community or starting an instant message chat with a customer service agent.
    Regards,
    Elaine

  • Skype Account Hacked - Will this affect my Microso...

Last Wednesday, I received an e-mail receiving confirmation of my password change, and confirmation of my new e-mail address.  Of course, I had changed neither and contacted Skype to let them know that someone had hacked my Skype account.
Several exchanges with them later and things are still being sorted out (after six days). I have reached the stage where I have the link to reset my password, but unfortunately that takes me through to the Microsoft website and it is not the Microsoft password I need to change, but one associated with my Skype Login.  Anyway, I digress.
I was wondering, if someone has got into my Skype account, using my Skype password, is there any chance he may be rooting around in my Microsoft Account (Outlook, OneDrive, etc).  Or would he have needed to also get around my Microsoft password to do that.  I suspect the latter, as that is where I am being sent.
Would anyone like to put my mind at rest?

You can try to retrieve the sync key from that mobile device.

  • Skype Account Hacked, Poor Support, No Refund

Hello I have been an active Skype user for 5 years and spent EUR 876.51 on 'Skype Out' calls. Sometime between May 21st and 22nd my account was hacked, and many calls made to places I have never called. The net loss to date that I have to pay is EUR 38.15. Skype support was POOR, almost embarrassing, and like many others on the previous 'Forum' and now in this 'unofficial support network' I am not alone in the support experience and the answers given. The corporate answer via Skype support is that the security breach is my responsibility and I have to bear the cost, same as experienced by others. The post by 'arcticomp' triggered me to write this. In the old forum there were many people with the same experience. I too immediately turned off my auto top up through Pay Pal, I advise others to immediately do the same. My question to the Skype user community is what should we do about this? There was no indication of any security breach at my end from firewalls and security packages that are active on my systems. Skype is expecting me to take the risk for costs that are totally out of my control - that is unacceptable to me. The future lack of control is the fundamental issue here. I am using this communication channel as the email trail with support has hit a brick wall, feels like a set of robotic automated answers. On a second thread I see 'moderators' etc - what is going on here? Who are they - Skype employees!!! It feels very odd to me. There are currently 25,813,297 Skype users online as I write this. Having read many posts on the 'Hacking' subject I am not sure how big the issue is. Is it the 20 or so people I have read posts from, are they representative, is it just a small issue that will not happen again? Are there many people out there who have the same problem, but short of the opportunity to communicate. Does anyone have the skill and knowledge to create a mechanism that we can find out from the user community the magnitude of this hacking issue? Finally, in my case the cost of 'Goodwill' would have been 0.0435%. In my experience 'The Corporation' using muscle on the individual is not a good business model. I will be interested in any feedback and looking to see Skype return to a relationship and service model that I have advertised extensively and encouraged others to join. tjbg 4th July 2011

I just discovered that skype has charged me 40$ and I don't how come? they were in form of 10X4 in one day and when I looked at my account I couldn't find the calls that match this one day 40$ amount...Skype should have a solution for us.
I suggest that you immediately perform the following actions
    1. run a full anti-virus scan, to detect and remove any elements that the hacker may have used to gain access to your account.
    2. change your account password to something difficult to guess and completely different from the ones you usually use.
    3. contact customer service (support.skype.com/support_selection), provide as relevant details as possible.

  • Warning! Skype account hacked and money stolen

I feel it is important that Skype users be warned of their vulnerability to Internet theft and take the appropriate action.
All persons with Skype pre-approved payment agreements through Paypal should seriously consider cancelling these agreements immediately. The urgency to take this action is for the following reasons:
    1. Paypal considers the theft of a Skype prepaid account as "not an instance of unauthorized account activity" and will not refund monies stolen under these circumstances.
    2. Skype has indicated that it is "not liable, and is unable to refund any money that has been lost because of this incident."
After losing almost $100 in unauthorized Skype usage on June 30, 2011, I feel all Skype users should be notified of their vulnerability and be aware that neither Skype nor Paypal will refund money stolen from pre-approved agreements.

    This is crazy !!!
Lose a login ..create another one and do all the weird dance to POST a reply. Man ..this is where skype starts to DIE ..
    Same story !!!
Account password changed suddenly and ofcourse the EMAIL was changed as well.
And IM aghast at seeing how many such accounts and for how long has these been going on and SKYPE does nothing.
A simple solution is - when a user is changing EMAIL address, do it via the OLD address only. So if i created a login name ABC thru [email protected] (the first email id) - anytime the user wants to change it, treat it like the Password change TOKEN process. This way NO UNauthorized genius can LOCK some user out.
    Maybe some secret questions etc.?
    other techniques.
    But how does
    - some steal passwords from ur systems?
    - or you wud say its random generators?
    - And credit card FREQUENCY usage? can users set something there? that I wud NOT change my Skype account for more 10$ everyday? or everyweek?
And ..HOPE you guys are NOT storing credit card INFO in the system?
and money wise - there shud be a way to STOP auto-recharge option?  Or stop from blowing over like above.
