Skype and Vonage Together - Problems?

Hello,
I currently have Vonage as my "land line" and it has a router hooked up to my cable modem. I'm interested in adding a Skype phone to my home, which involves adding a new Skype router to my cable modem.
Is there a problem running a Skype router and a Vonage router off the same cable modem? Are there any conflicts, or do they just operate independently?

Not that I'm aware of. You'd have to treat the situation as if you didn't have multiple inputs on that device. 1. Joining inputs or separating them using an analog/physical toggle/patch.2, Joining inputs or separating them using additional software like Virtual audio cable though this can add unwanted delays.

Hi!
I need some help about a problem related my iCal and others softwares as Skype and Mail which use a customized numeric system (iCal while changing the days or Skype and Mail while receiving any new message in the red splash...).
The problem is the numbers in wrong place...(a little moved up instead to be centered). I tried to change the system fonts, but it doesn't work.

NV... I saw the same question in other post. The problem is about the duplication of font Helvetica Neue.
Just find it and delete the duplicates. All is working good now.

Well known problem in Leopard. It trips up on some metadata that Lightroom writes to the files. This is a bug that Apple introduced late in the leopard development, but that they still have not fixed. You should only come across the bug if you write the originals, not if you export new versions of the file.

Itouch and Iphone together problems

I have purchased an Itouch for my daughter and I have an Iphone. I am having trouble setting up her account separate from mine and the two seem to be mixing with each other. I want her to be able to have separate access to my itunes account and have access to her email (which I cant get to work). I feel like I needto start her I touch setup all over....

when you open iutnes make sure you are logged into your account. in the near upper right corner in itunes you will either see a log in button or her /your email addy in the itunes store tab on the left column. if you are hooking up her touch, and it shows your email addy, click on it to change the login name and password. i have 2 iphones and 2 touches in my home and have no problems. if theres anything else we can help with let us know.

Skype and Audio Interface problems

I am using skype with a usb audio interface for muiltple microphones. The problem is skype will only recongnize one microphone port, instead of all of the microphone ports in the interface. Is there a work around for this?

3g and wireless together, problems

I have the iphone 4 and when my wireless is connected at home. My AIM is slow and I usually have to wait a long time before the outgoing emails are sent. The go but can take several minutes
Can anyone help with this?

It switches to wifi if wifi is turned on. Everything will then go through wifi except calls and texts.

Standard troubleshooting...
1. Try a Restart by pressing the sleep/lock button until you see the slider. Slide to power off. Restart by pressing the sleep/lock button until you see the Apple logo.
2. Try a Reset by pressing the home and sleep buttons until you see the Apple logo. Takes about 5-15 secs of button holding and you won't lose any data or settings.
3. Remove apps from Recently Used (multi-tasking) list...
- From any Home Screen, double tap the home button to bring up the Recents List
- Swipe up on the app preview card to remove it from the list
- Press the home button when done.
4. If still a problem restore with your backup.
5. If still a problem restore as new, i.e. without your backup. See how it runs with nothing synced to it.
6. If still a problem, it's likely a hardware issue.

you could also try verifying if the jar libraries containing your Document and Paragraph classes are defined in your class path OR if you are using an IDE, did you include that under your LIbraries?
The previous suggestion below also is a stop-gap to the library inclusion problem.

Windows XP, SP3: 'Skype has encountered a problem and needs to close...'

I have seen quite a few people have this issue on here, but despite countless forum searches and multiple uninstalls/re-installs, I have not been able to fix my problem. I have not had any issues will Skype on my other computer. But I have recently gotten a WiFi adapter for the Windows XP in my room, and decided to download Skype on here as well. I have tried various downloads from Skype, earlier versions of Skype, and deleting .xml files as well as updating and restarting my computer. My install seems to go smoothly, but once I click on Skype or its shortcut icon, a blank Skype window opens up, quickly followed by an error message like displayed in the title. I have sent a few error reports, but that doesn't really move toward fixing my problem. If someone could help me reach a solution soon, that would be greatly appreciated. Here is some of my computer information below: System:Microsoft Windows XPProfessionalVersion 2002Service Pack 3 Computer:Intel(R)Pentium(R) 4 CPU 2.80 GHz2.79 GHz, 1.25 GB of RAM IE:Version 8.0.6001.18702 Error Info:AppName: skype.exeAppVer: 6.13.0.104ModName: mlang.dll

Skype is the one giving you problems.....
When sitting at idle, Skype can use as much as 90% of your CPU's resources. The reason I know this is because I use Skype and have to shut it down once the fans start spinning and my Macbook starts getting hotter.
Another solution is to downgrade Skype one version down. That seems to work for a few people.

Skype and iChat problems

Hi everyone... my MacBook is relatively new and has worked fine. Just three weeks ago, Skype started giving me problems.
I can sign on and call people, they can see and hear me. However, I can't hear them (or it comes through really patchy) and their video is usually frozen. I've tried it with 5 others (including one who has a Macbook also) and concluded that the problem is on my end!
I've tried uninstalling and installing again and again, gotten help from the Skype team twice, and nothing is working! Any suggestions?
Also with the iChat, whenever I try to start a video chat with someone, there is always a "communication error" every time! What is the deal? Anyone else have this problem???

Looking at the details for this mic, it appears that the app has to have the option to use the internal specak when a mic is plugged into the headphone jack. Specifically:
NOTE: When MityMic is plugged into your iPod/iPhone you won’t be able to use the onboard speaker for sound output. You must remove the MityMic then play back your recordings. (The Skype app has an option to enable the onboard speaker even when the mic is plugged in, so you could use MityMic for placing Skype calls. However most other apps do not have this function.)

Many developers when they updated their apps fro the newer iOSs dropped support for the older iOSs. That included Skype and other developers. Unless you have a copy of the apps version that was compatible with your iPod/iOS you are out of luck. Do you cave such a copy in a computer file backup??

Problems about linking the skype and the microsoft

My skype account cannot link to the microsoft account(Before this, I already unlinked the original skype and microsoft) . When I logon the skype with my microsoft account, I found that there is an another skype account and this account is useless for me. Now I just want to delete the useless skype account of the microsoft and then link the original skype to the microsoft. What do I do to relink those accounts?

The sequence you should be using is:
1) start the listener, which will monitor the network for database requests
lsnrctl start
2) start and open the database, which will also register back to the listener. Could be done by a properly configured OEM DBConsole, or command line
sqlplus / as sysdba
startup
exit
3) If database started before listener, then you could register the database manually
sqlplus / as sysdba
alter system register;
exit
4) Verify that the listener knows about the database and will handle requests for the database
lsnrctl status
and check the output whether the database service is recognized.
