Skype Blocked My Microsoft Account

Since skype takes long to respond to my emails I figured maybe people in the forums could help me out. So my problem is that Skype for an unknown reason has blocked my microsoft account and not told me why. Now when i go onto my xbox i am unable to use Skype the app tells me to "Sign In" and when i click it nothing happens. I am signed into my profile so that is not the issue but it doesnt even give me the option to input my Skype info Thanks MaClayN

I have had the account for 8 years and give skype a LOT of money for our calls...we do NOT spam...we teach people how to make sushi!!!
They cancelled the account and we are loosing thousands of £ because we have also lost our SKYPE number which is printed on all litterature for the business.
I have sent emails again and again and the support is terrible.
I am going to the BBC watchdog and we are getting lawyers on this because they dont seem to be able to provide any valid reasons for closing the account.
They ask us to create a new account, but we already paid for suscriptions monthly on the other account.
They are not earning our sympathy, if someone from skype reads this...dont be stupid and think before you do things like this, real business are suffering...and trust me when i say i will NEVER BUY MICROSOFT AGAIN!!!

Cannot access W7 Skype with my Microsoft account!

In Internet Explorer go to Help -> About Internet Explorer.

Unable to link Skype and Microsoft accounts

I am really confused here. I haev tried this on Windows, Mac and iOS no matter what I do cannot link my current/old SKype ID with my longtime Microsoft account. I've followed the KBs poste don this site and I am missing the step where I am offered to link my Microsoft account with my Skype one. E.g I will reference the iOS guide :
Logout of existing Skype ID
Choose login with other account
Choose Micrsoft account
Login with Microsoft account
Choose option for "Already using Skype?" <-- This option does not exist for me on any platform
Not sure why this refuses to work - has anyone else seen this? I had thought initially my Microsoft account TFA (two-factor auth) was throwing this off, and so disabled TFA but still got the same issue.
Then I thoguth that by using one of my aliases for my microsoft account it was not working properly, so I tried the explicit alias I have <username>@outlook.com but that did the same thing.

Ok, I got through the process... of getting back to Skype Community after merging, which is not as easy as it seems. Beware of that! When you merge your accounts, you won't be able to get back to your Skype Community profile due to the merging process that somewhat deletes your "standalone" Skype profile. Your Skype community profile is account-based, not info-based. So even if you will still be using the same Skype name and the same e-mail address, you won't be able to login to your Skype community profile if you created it using your Skype-only account refering to the same e-mail address has your MS one. You will need to create a new Skype community nickname using a completely different e-mail address (like a Gmail or another hotmail, outlook,... that you own). But, doesn't matter if you don't plan to come back to the Skype community, everything else will be fine.
Here's the real stuff! Here are the steps to merge your Skype account with your Microsoft account even if you don't get the prompt asking if you already own a Skype account when logging in with your Microsoft account.
0. Make sure to log out on any Skype app that could still be connected to the service with either of your accounts
1. Go to Skype website and login using your Microsoft account
2. Once on your personal profile page, select "Account Settings" at the bottom of the page
3. Beside your Microsoft account that is listed on the page, click on "Unlink" and complete deletion process of this "ghost profile" (shouldn't be any contacts saved on this profile if you didn't add any contacts in Skype with your Microsoft account)
4. Go back to any Skype desktop or mobile app, login using the "Sign in with a Microsoft Account" option
5. Then, you should be asked again if you own a Skype account, click "Yes", then enter your Skype login information to proceed with the merge.

New skype version with msn account

I cannot sign in using my microsoft account anymore i try Live: id but it doesnt work. I even try signing in as my email still doesnt work it doesnt have the options to sign in as msn account anymore

What version of Skype are you on (help > about Skype). Signing into skype with your Microsoft account should be possible (has been for years) even in the latest version, as I'm guessing that will be the only sign in option soon there is no reason for Skype to remove the feature (sign in using another account MS account). http://www.skype.com/go/getskype Your MSN account IS your Microsoft account. (email/password, not live:X thats just how Skype treats MS account names) Make Sure your OS and Internet Explorer is up to date aswell as drivers and make sure no securety software blocks Skype from operating normally. If the issue persist, please state your OS, Skype version and the exact nature of the problem (be sure to try to use the login with a differnt account option at the login screen). For good meassure please restart your computer, and your router if possible.

Cannot log in with Microsoft account

When I try to log in to Skype with my Microsoft account, it keeps saying that there's a problem with my internet connection when there isn't. What gives??
EDIT: I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling and that hasn't helped.

What version of Windows are you on (XP, Vista, Windows 7, Windows 8 )? Is it 32-bit or 64-bit?

Problems about linking the skype and the microsoft

My skype account cannot link to the microsoft account(Before this, I already unlinked the original skype and microsoft) . When I logon the skype with my microsoft account, I found that there is an another skype account and this account is useless for me. Now I just want to delete the useless skype account of the microsoft and then link the original skype to the microsoft. What do I do to relink those accounts?

The sequence you should be using is:
1) start the listener, which will monitor the network for database requests
lsnrctl start
2) start and open the database, which will also register back to the listener. Could be done by a properly configured OEM DBConsole, or command line
sqlplus / as sysdba
startup
exit
3) If database started before listener, then you could register the database manually
sqlplus / as sysdba
alter system register;
exit
4) Verify that the listener knows about the database and will handle requests for the database
lsnrctl status
and check the output whether the database service is recognized.

Microsoft account sign in option is missing

there has been 3 days now that I can't logon to skype using my microsoft account.
Out of the blue the landing page/window of skype has been changed to the old one, and there is no microsoft account option in there.
I attach a screen shot also.
Any ideas would be more than welcome.

Try this:
Go to Windows Start -> All Programs -> Accessories -> Right click on Command Prompt, select 'Run as administrator'.
The Command Prompt window should show:
C:\Windows\System32>
If this is not the case, then in the Command Prompt type: cd c:\windows\system32 and press Enter.
Type this and then press Enter:
regsvr32 jscript.dll
Next type this and press Enter:
regsvr32 jscript9.dll
After each Enter you should receive a message saying that DllRegisterServer in XXX.dll succeeded.
Reboot your computer.
Make now the test showing if your Internet Explorer can execute JavaScript.
Open in your Internet Explorer (no other browser but only IE) this page:

I've linked a Micriosoft account to my Skype account, and I can log in this both Skype and Microsoft account before, but recently I am not able to log in Skype with the Microsoft account, an error promted that: - We detected something unusual and neet to verify your account. Where should we send the code? The Microsoft account's email no longer valid, and I can't sign in to my account from a location that I've used recently(with thesame computer) as it's 10kmiles away from my place now(when I was having bussiness trip). What can I do to resolve it and sign in Skype with the Microsoft account with the email no longer valid?

if the email is invalid
just a guess u can't sign in to live.com as well
you will need to contact Customer support to change your email for you
they might ask some verification though

Skype Password not Microsoft Password

I am trying to change some account setting, and when skype asks for my password, it doesn't accept any of my passwords. So I went to reset the password, which linked me to the Microsoft Live account. I reset that password, went back to Skype, it still won't accept the password. Skype's password for it's settings on skype.com is not updating from Microsoft's site. This has been a problem for months. Any suggestions?

When you sign in to skype, do you write a user name (like "freakalis") or do you use a mail address
(like [e-mail removed for privacy and security])
AND
are you sure that you don't have TWO skype accounts? one with a normal user name, and one created using your micrsoft account. (have you tried logging in to skype using your microsoft account)?

Skype 4.3.0.37 can't log in with Microsoft account

I'm using Skype Skype 4.3.0.37 on Archlinux.Today I can't login with my Microsoft account (skype account works as usual). I get this message (translated from italian): We're sorry, your access data were not recognized. Check your skype name and password and try again. I am sure I'm entering the right data. My skype account works as usual.

I tried installing Skype for Linux on Ubuntu 15.04 (running on a VirtualBox virtual machine) and it works. Can't login to Skype with Microsoft account

Hello!
My problem is I can't login to Skype (website and program both) with Microsoft account. When I try to login to Skype on website, it says: There is a problem signing in with Microsoft account. Please try again or sign in with Skype details instead.
Please help me, I tried so many things and nothing works...

And me. And I tried to reset my password by getting the "password token" emailed to me. Once received I clicked on the link to reset my password and it told me that my "password token wasn't recognized" and to enter it manually. I did that, going as far as to cut and paste the token, and it wasn't "recognized" again.
And when I was able to sign in, I couldn't get any new contacts, even though I knew they were presently signed in.
Bring back Windows Live!

Skype, Messenger, and your Microsoft Account

I have posted this on the Microsoft forum too but think it's pretty relevant here.
So...
I have Windows Phone 8.1, my partner has WP8.1, she is my contact through her Microsoft account which she also signed into Skype with. We attempted to use the feature of going to a Skype video call from a standard phone call and the Skype button is greyed out...
I then notice she does not have any Skype details in her profile on my phone - only email (her Microsoft account) (which is also her Skype account). So I search for her using her Microsoft email address in Skype and she appears as a non-contact who I have to send a request to!
So now I have her twice in Skype; Once for Skype and once for Messenger!! I tried linking her accounts in her profile on my phone - which then shows her as one contact at outlook.com too - who I can Messenger chat with AND start a Skype call at outlook.com!!
I have repeated this with a friend who was also previously a long time Messenger user that has downgraded to Skype.
None of this was previously an issue as we all still used Messenger and could chat with the now GREATLY missed built in Messenger chat on Windows Phone, but now this has been dropped we are forced to use the depressingly slow and awfully clunky Skype app(s). This is what has brought the cross-app disconnect to light for us.
Why do we now have 2 accounts using the exact same email address? This REALLY needs fixing ASAP.

To change the Country/region data used for Payment and Billing in Microsoft Store,
Press WindowsKey+W to show Start screen and focus on searching in

In the Region dialog switch to Location tab and change the country of choice in the
Home location drop-down list.
Click OK to apply changes and make them effective.
Open Store and press WindowsKey+I to show settings charms then choose
Your account.
In the Your account screen click Add payment method to configure your payment settings that will be used for purchasing apps from Windows Store.
Notice Country/region value has changed.
This country will be specified in Country/residence within Payment and Billing in Microsoft Store app.

Hello, At the moment I seem to have two accounts, a skype account and a microsoft account, which was created when I tried to recover my skype password. When I enter the email address I used for skype, I'm now directed to the microsoft account password recovery, for which I do know the password. My contacts now see two accounts: a "firstlastnbr" and a "live:first.last". And my microsoft account has no contacts... Please advise, thanks ! Spiffo

You can login into Skype using your Skype details or your Microsoft details.
