hi all anyone facing this issue . always Skype call put on hold when I make call to others. there is no option every time I need to cut the call again for making a call . it is really irritating . I am using iOS 8 .

Hmmm.. thinking the conspiracy theory of Microsoft nobling Android to sell their own phone operating sys is a good one as I can see no reason why Skype have not fixed this long standing, and very important issue. I have tried various versions of Android on various phones and headsets, the problem seems to be with all, only common factor, Skype on Android. I have seen no official response from Skype on any of the multiple forum threads discussing this problem. All I can say, in my opinion, is Skype is the problem, not an Android one, it's on your doorstep! Plantronics, who have supplied me most headsets, can only offer the advice that it worked fine on Skype Ver 2, and not worked properly since (when did Microsoft buy Skype?). I pay Skype for a service but they are leaving me with no alternative but to vote with my feet, Viber works and I think I need to start looking at all alternatives. Maybe I should look at Linux on the PC too!

Why does my active Skype call automatically get put on hold when a standard phone call comes through on my iphone 6? I would prefer to manually switch between calls and I hold many conference calls through SKYPE.

Please check if you enable conferencing in topology builder, you can check on the Standard edition topology below “Feature and functionality”.
Please also try to re-run the Lync Server Components install from the Deployment Wizard and check services again.
If the issue persists, you can use the Lync server logging tool on FE server to test the process of conferencing.

It's a scam. Do not call the number. There are several ways to recover.
1. Some of those scam pages can be dismissed very easily. Press the key combination command-W to close the tab or window. A huge box will pop up. Press the return key and both the box and the page will close. If that doesn't happen, continue.
2. Press and hold command-W. You may hear repeating alert sounds. While holding the keys, click the OK button in the popup. A different popup may appear, which you can cancel out of as usual.
3. From the Safari menu bar, select
Safari ▹ Preferences... ▹ Security
and uncheck the box marked Enable JavaScript. Leave the preferences dialog open.
Close the malicious window or tab.
Re-enable JavaScript and close the preferences dialog.
4. If the Preferences menu item is grayed out, quit Safari. Force quit if necessary. Relaunch it by holding down the shift key and clicking its icon in the Dock. None of the windows and tabs will reopen.
After closing the malicious page, from the menu bar, select
Safari ▹ Preferences... ▹ Privacy ▹ Remove All Website Data
to get rid of any cookies or other data left by the server. Open your Downloads folder and delete anything you don't recognize.

Iphone order put on hold!?

I got an email that my order was put on hold because they needed a 400 security deposit but why didnt that come out of my bank? Not enough money? and will my phone now take longer to get here since i have to wait till tomorrow morming to call?

Print Skype call log

Hello, I need to print the skype call logs that I have made with my fiance to prove an ongoing relationship since we are trying to get him to come to the states with a K1 Visa. Does anyone know of a way of doing this on a mac computer?

You have to do this regularly, my Skype only remembers 3 months of calls... Heard of a UK request fail because of not enough pictures submitted of when they were together, accepted with more pictures... Best to over supply info rather than under supply!!!
Easiest way I found to copy was if you hold the Mac key, you can reveal the details of a number of calls simultanously, then Mac key, plus shift key, plus 4 keys converts the cursor into cross hairs, allowing you to select an image to take a picture of, deposited on the desktop as picture (number). Using this method, I found it better to use open office as Word not so good if you paste a large number of images (certainly in MS Office from recent years, may have been sorted in the latest versions?).

Skype call crashes video card driver

So today i tried making a skype call on a Win 7 (64bit) pc and my monitor went black, can't say what changes caused this to happen last time used before changing Video Card a month ago, cause i use my phone version more often. So i run ATI Sapphire R7 260x, latest drivers up to date. All windows drivers up to date. Maybe someone has a sollution. Tried to look up in search but only one topic like this and it's quite out of date. Any questions about system i can answer.

It is ultimately going to be either a configuration of the drivers, a catalyst issue or due to those particular drivers. I've been wanting to try out ATI cards again but similar issues such as this have haunted me in all my ATI purchases. I've always found the key thing is to stick with a driver version that is most stable possibly holding off on the latest and greatest drivers if a workaround isn't available.

EMU 1616 with Shure58S/58SE for skype calls?

Will this microphone work on skype, for voice calls?...
Usual PC microphones don't work with 1616 card (as they are not active microphones). My work involves skype calls and I can't call when 1616 is connected. At least not with usual PC microphone.
So I'm using integrated sound card for quite a while...
Will this mic work for this? Please advise.

You and I had the good sense to see tremendous value in the E-Mu 1616 MicroDock audio interface. Unfortunately, apparently few other people did, or maybe E-Mu would still be in business.
Where to start.
Until recently, I used a headset under Windows XP with no problem. Not even sure how I had Patchmix set up, but I knew NOTHING of ASIO outputs in those days, so might not even have had a Send inserted somewhere. I was able to use both a headset mic (see below), and/or a phantom-powered condenser with Skype audio-call sessions. I upgraded to Windows 7 in Jan 2013, and although I've used Skype rarely since then, my call record shows that I made a long call last summer, so it must have worked. In the fall, I updated what may have been a very old version of Audacity, and suddenly could no longer get 1616 sound into Audacity. I've since learned that Audacity doesn't support ASIO, and apparently there's no other way to interface them. (Using properly matched ASIO "send" inserts, I can still use my mics with Pro Tools.) I also use a product called Total Recorder, which I generally have set up to record from "software" (as opposed to a mic input), and used to regularly put me on one channel and the other person on the other channel.
Now I find that Skype doesn't hear the 1616. Total Recorder doesn't (although their earnest support dept has assured me it should, and should not depend on getting the sound via ASIO -- I have yet to check their report fully, but my first try was unsuccessful). And the Skype situation is a total mystery -- it says my microphone is working properly, but neither the Call Quality record/play test, nor the test call will hear it, whatever I have tried. (And I swear I've tried and triple checked everything, even removing other recently added audio software and reverting to a week-old Restore Point. (I dare not go back months, if that is even possible.)
Skype does "hear" a USB headset that I plugged in just for testing. Windows foudn and loaded drivers for it, and I made a successful test call. Although of course in comparison, the headset's audio sucked.
So, although I have no hands-on experience with the SM58 my short answer is: Yes, it should work with any professional dynamic or condenser mic. But in my case, it still does, but Skype suddenly does not work with it.

To use an ordinary telephone headset with the MicroDock, you need an amplifier of sort between them. (Which was news to me until a guy deep in Plantronics nicely explained -- apparently headphones use an electret approach?) With suitable mono/stereo adapters etc., an Andrea APS-100 Battery Box should do the trick. I got mine from eMicrophones, but a search may turn up other current sources. About $12 plus shipping. It uses a AAA battery, and fidelity is okay for phone use. I don't know if it would be the correct solution (or at all a solution) for a low-output (cheap tape recorder) dynamic mic. That probably would call for a conventional pre-amp of some kind, although the mic I just tried seems to give signal enough.
By the way, I tried your link to the 1616m and succeeded in putting into a cart, where it says they have it "in stock." Some nerve! Okay, a bit of thanks to Creative Inc. for not doing away with the E-MU site entirely, but how does anyone have the chutzpah to sell the thing when there is no support, no "official" driver (just a 2010 beta and 2009 documentation), nobody there, no active forms or email, and their forum is virtually dormant?

I cannot hear the voice of my contact during Skype to Skype call, but my contact can hear me. I use a smartphone and the other person a tablet. I have no problems if I use Skype to call landline.

What I thinking was;
1st caller: I'm having conversation and there is another call so I put (caller 1) on hold to answer (caller 2)
2nd caller: While talking to (caller 2), (caller 1) is now on hold, What I would like is to be able to make it so that there is music that I have set (caller 1) is now listening to.
Also if I mute the call this may be good to have.
Not sure if this can already be done, I have tried a spot of good old googling but it seems harder to find that most.

Hey, my problem is, I called my boyfriend 2 days ago. I tried twice no answer. Couple seconds after he call me back, we'll I though it was him, just to find out ( what I though was an accidental call) , right after that, I heard noise of two people having sex. Obviously I was shocked and immediately called him on his phone while Skype was still on. All this took about two minutes. When he heard his phone he found out his Skype was on so start talking on Skype. I ask him what is he doing and to put camera on, he did immediately and told me he was sitting outside on the terrace with his friends, so didn't hear the Skype call. I told him what I heard in which point all his friends was in and laugh. So ok I saw his friends there, but if I didn't that would create a big problem I guess. How is possible that Skype made a call by itself and that I heard what I heard?

Lync call goes on hold when I touch the mouse or keyboard

I have an issue when I am on a lync call that if I touch the keyboard or mouse the call is put on hold. Very frustrating and I can find nothing about it. Anyone else encountered this issue, or better still have a resolution?
Lync 2013 is being used.

Hi,
Did the issue happen only for you or for multiple users?
You can test the issue on other computer Lync client with your Lync account.
Please delete user profile on your local computer with the following path:
%UserProfile%\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Office\15.0\Lync
And check if Lync client update to the latest version, if not, update Lync client and then test again.

Calls go on hold automatically

Integration with MS MOC/CUPS and CCM 6., issue is when a user makes a call it automatically goes on hold when answered. If we disable the RCC in OCS, the issue goes away. So, need to find out why OCS places the call on hold. Has anyone ran into this issue?

Here is some information I recieved from TAC on this issue (After 6 months of working thru this will different support cases as it was difficult to reproduce at times.)
This is a known issue and has been documented in this bug: CSCtc50956 - CTIGW: call automatically put on hold
This bug was never made public as it was found only by a few select customers. The description of the bug is as follows:
1. A call was established on MOC
2. MOC hit 8-hour recycling mark. It then sent a new INVITE/MonitorStart, etc.
3. MOC then closed the previous SIP session with BYE
4. When there was a new call coming, MOC found there was two calls active so it sent HoldCall event to CTIGW in trying to put the 1st call on Hold.
5. CTIGW uses the callid found in the HoldCall to put the call on hold. But since CTIGW had only one call data attached to the new scb, it put the 2nd call on hold instead.
Comparing this with the explanation provided by Microsoft we can see it matches. This bug has been fixed in the 7.0.6 or 8.0.1 release of CUPS. I am working to make this defect public so you can view it within the next few days. The resolution will be to upgrade your presence server to 7.0.6 or later.

I've been having this problem for quite a while now, actually, it isn't a 'problem', it would be really helpful if I could do this.
When I watch videos or play games, I use my headphones. But when I get a Skype call or receive an IM, It sets the video/game I'm playing's audio to be played on the speakers, and not the headphones. I solve this by putting my Skype to Do Not Disturb, but I don't get notified and I miss alot of things due to the sound being muted. This has proven to be ineffective, as when I call even when in Do Not Disturb, the call is being played in my headphones, and the video/game's audio gets played on the speaker. I wish to have both my video/game's audio and Skype notifications and calls BOTH play their audio in my headphones.
