Skype Caller identification number setup process a...

Hi Everyone,
I did the initial process the display my mobile number as caller identification with verification SMS. but it says will require 24 hours to activate the service and will send you confirmation message. What is the next setup after receiving the confirmation message? is it just for information?

There may not be much that can be done. Caller ID from the telephone network to your Skype Number is controlled by the telephone carrier(s) where your Skype Number is located (Hong Kong). Not all carriers in all countries send Caller ID information to the Skype Number. When your friends in Hong Kong call each other on their phones, do they see the Caller ID information on those calls? This may not help your situation when receiving calls on your Skype number, but would at least verify that your friends' phones are sending the Caller ID information out when they call someone.

Hi guys,
It`s already 1 week since I bought credit and I asked for the call identification number.
I have tried several times but without any success or error message.
It`s very important to have this number otherwise my friends will not answer to my `private or 0000011` phone number.

Skype can't use a Japanese number as Caller ID. Online Numbers from a few countries (Chile, Denmark, Estonia, Hong Kong, Poland, Sweden, the UK and the US) can be used as Caller ID, and Japan is one of the two countries (the other is Mexico) where a mobile number can't be used as Caller ID when calling from Skype.

Qusestions about caller identification

When I use the caller identification, the one I call will know my phone number. Suppose that I am using a number in the U.S. for caller identification number, will people in Japan or China see that number if I dial his cell phone by Skype? If so, does he need to pay for the response, since it usually charge him for response to an international number?

Caller ID numbers on Skype can be either a Skype Number or a verified mobile number, such verification process for a mobile number requiring an SMS message. Yes it is. You can choose either your Online # or your cellphone #.
Go to > Account Page > Set up Caller ID > Verify Number

When will I be able to set my Dutch (+31) online number as caller identification for outgoing Skype calls?
It is quite frustrating to have to use my mobile number, especially since I bought a online number for all my communication. Now friends keep calling me on my mobile number, instead of my Skype online number!

Log into your Skype account here on the Skype web site, using the "Account" link at the top of the page. If your Online Number is a US number, you should be able to go into your Caller ID settings and put that back. It appears that these settings are mysteriously disappearing from some accounts, and for others the settings disappear when there is a change to either Online Numbers or subscriptions. Unfortunately, there has been no clear explanation from Skype, but at least you have the means to put that number back on as your Caller ID.

Caller identification setup

Hi,
Is there a way for me to setup caller identification using verification code sent to my email instead of sms? The problem is that I have blocked all sms on my phone. Any other way to get this to work? Maybe I can call a number for verification?

My number doesn't receive skype calls, and it's no...

Hi everybody...
(I tried to post this message but it didn't appear, sorry if it's a duplicate)
When someone calls me to my cellphone number, it says I didn't pay my cellphone bill and can't commutate the call... I call my company and as it's expected - everything is just fine!
Is it possible that my phone number got stuck on program level somewhere at skype commutators?
One weird thing is: every day I can receive one call normally. After that it gives the error. AND! If I am calling somewhere on my phone, I can receive skype calls unlimited times...
Who do I contact in that case? I am lost...

Suddenly can't make calls to my skype to go number...

I have been using my android to call my skype to go numbers for a few months now. On occasions I cannot make calls but after a few trys it goes through. But I have been trying today and there has been no luck. Any solutions? I still have minutes left in my subscription and I have sufficient skype credits in my account. Thanks in advance.

If you are trying to call telephones, you still need to have Skype Credit on your account or pay for a subscription. Calls to telephones from Skype are not free, even if you have a Skype To Go number.
Skype To Go is an alternative for making calls when you are not able to use the Skype program or app to log into your computer. By itself, you do not gain any privileges for calling telephones. That's where the Skype Credit or a subscription come into play, covering those charges.

Can't Receive Calls to my Skype To Go Number

We recently purchased a year long unlimited calling plan AND a skype to go number.
Unfortunately, no one can call my number. Sometimes they receive a busy signal, other times it just beeps once and hangs up.
Can you tell me why this is happening and how can we fix it so that I can receive calls to my to go number???

First check your privacy settings are set to ''Allow calls from anyone''.Then change them to "Allow SkypeIn calls from Only people from my Contacts List".Save and wait for 5 minutes.Log out from your Skype account and log back in. My skype account has one registered mobile number based in my country Singapore.
I'm travelling to New Zealand, South Island and will be buying a local sim card with calls, text and data.
May I ask if does Skype to Go still work? If so, please advise necesarry steps required.
Do I need to register the local NZ precard SIM card number?

A Skype number is just a regular land line number. A call costs just as little or as much as the caller's carrier charges to call that number.

Conference call using Skype to go number

I set up two Skype to go numbers to India. When it try to conference these numbers it says "Sorry we just had a Technical Problem". Can't we make conference call using Skype to go number?

Number Pad on skype to skype calls

On a skype to landline or mobile, there is a number keypad icon to type in numbers (when operation asks us to key in a choice 1 or 2 or 3 , etc.
I don't see this icon in a skype to skype call? So if operator on the other side, how do I key in a number?

$0.023 is 2.3 cents and minutes are rounded up, so you were charged for 5 minutes, or 5 x 2.3 = 11.5 cents and there is a per-call connection fee of 4.9 cents, so your total should be 11.5 + 4.9 = 16.4, but it looks like both numbers were rounded up before being added (i.e. 12 +5 = 17 cents or $0.170)
