Skype cant connect please help!~

So I have been getting ddosed latly so I looked up online how to prevent it and someone said they get my ip though skype. So I followed some steps to setup a proxy on skype and after I did that now when I goto sign in on skype it says "Skype can't connect"

URGENT HELP PLEASE! I CANNOT ACCESS SKYPE
Since yesterday 22 April 2014 - I am getting the same error message.
the skype help connection wizard gives 2 options:
1. contact network administration;
2. restart skype wait 2 minutes for it to reconnect automatically.
This I have done dozens of times and it doesnt happen. I am still without skype connection and have money invested in their account.
My question: is there anyone I can contact by mail, phone, at SKYPE ADMINISTRATION to solve this problem soon? I need to contact my handicapped son everyday through Skype we live in different countries, he needs my help daily.
I don´t know what else to do or who to ask for help.

I am currently using the newest version of skype on my mac book air and after the update I could log in just fine, although just today I tried uninstalling and even changing my password on my phone to login to my skype but the message "skype cant connect" keeps poping up!!! help!!!

What exactly is the version of your currently installed Skype? In Skype go to Help -> About Skype.
Also, what do you see when you open this link in your Internet Explorer?

P.S. Please, don’t say that you are not using Internet Explorer. This is irrelevant. Skype depends on Internet Explorer.

Skype cant connect

Hi all
I just upgraded to skype 7.0 but i cant sign in.
I get the blue screen but when i enter my name and password skype starts 'thinking' i can see the white circle moving but after a while i get the error skype cant connect
How can i fix it?
i am running window 7 and previous versions were no problem

Thanks a lot for your support. If IE is compulsory then that explains why my skype doesnt work.
I guess including this in the system requirements will spare you guys a lot of the same questions
I will find an alternative.

Hi there, using Skype 7.4.0.102, Win 8.1 and IE 11. Skype worked fine when I installed it, even used it a day or two. Now when I start it, it comes up with the splash screen and the circle keeps going around. Never connects. I'm using Webroot Antivirus software.

First, log out of everything including home sharing, imessage, facetime and appstore. Turn on airplane mode for a few seconds and retry turning on imessage.
You can also try instead of airplane mode you can turn off your phone instead then retry imessage.

I'm trying to build a chat server in Java on Linux OS.I've created basically 2 classes in the client program.The first one shows the login window.When we enter the Login ID & password & click on the ok button,the data is sent to the server for verification.If the login is true,the second class is invoked,which displays the messenger window.This class again access the server
for collecting the IDs of the online persons.But this statement which reads from the server causes an exception in the program.If we invoke the second class independently(ie not from 1st class) then there is no problem & the required data is read from the server.Can anyone please help me in getting this program right.I'm working on a p4 machine with JDK1.4.

Uninstalling and reinstalling iTunes has no affect on the media on the computer or the account it is linked to.
If the media was purchased under another iTunes account, then it is permanently tied to that account.

ok so i got an iphone for christmas and i connected it to my computer and tried to activate it everything was goin good until it said your activation requires additional time to complete and email will be sent. the problem is the email on my apple id is old and i dont have it anymore. The e-mails just give you status updates on the progress of your activation - You don't need them for codes or anything...
If I were you I would just check the phone every now and again... Just so you know, mine took 6 hours to become active.
You will love it though once it is!

Cant login please help

Running power mac, latest version of Tiger
When it boots and login screen appears I cant. The mouse and keyboard work fine, but the computer will not click the user names to bring up the password box. When I mouse over the login names its like they are not there. So I cant use the computer at all. I tried keyboard also and it wont work. Same results booting up in safe mode. Its like it gets to the point of login and locks up. Please help
