Skype constantly buffers and freezes on my phone (...

My phone constantly buffers and freezes. I have a Nokia Lumia 530 phone and I'm always having problems.

This phone is probably not the best one for Skype, but if you were using 3G then please try to use Skype over Wifi. Also make sure you have the latest Skype for Android.
If the call quality is still not good and constantly dropping out then you may request a refund. There's not much we can do on our side regarding connection.

  • ATV Streaming MP4 HD over network constantly buffering and freezing help

Hi so the problem is the bulk of my collection of movies are in h264 MP4, and I don't sync movies to the Apple TV it's mainly a streaming tool to my tv. The problem is it's buffering the movie every 20 minutes so it pauses and a few minutes later it resumes. The strange thing is, that my network is gigabit. So it shouldn't have this issue. Another strange issue is it doesn't do this instantly when I first turned it on this morning it played through an entire movie without hitching. But later it started re-buffering I would like to believe it's over heating but I have no idea. Apple Geniuses have been less than helpful I brought it in they say nothing wrong with it. But the issue persist any ideas on what the issue is? Thanks for any help.

I've just had the same thing start happening on my network. iTunes library is about 1.7 TB on a software RAID connected via USB and managed by a MacBook CoreDuo with 1 GB RAM. Over the last couple of weeks, I've been noticing increasing cases of buffering, getting up to about a 40 second buffer every five minutes yesterday while watching a 45 minute show. I'd written it off to network issues (even though the ATV is ethernet into a hub with the MacBook), but yesterday my daughter was watching a movie on my other ATV (connected by 802.11G) and complained that her movie was pausing at exactly the same time as mine. Leads me to believe it's my Mac, not the ATVs or network... Going to try upping the MacBook's RAM to 2GB this week to see if it fixes it, but is it possible that my library is just too big to manage?

  • CPU is constantly overheating and freezing Satellite Pro A30

    Hi guys,
It appears my CPU is constantly overheating and freezing the PC.
(is this what happens when a CPU overheats?)
The fans are switching on/off eratically.
The heatsink seems quite hot but still touchable - although just.
As a trial I'd like to change my 2.6Ghz CPU for
a slower, cooler one to see if it solves the problem.
Can I just swap them, or do I need to change something
to ensure the new CPU runs at the slower speed ?
Is there anyway I can tell the current CPU to run
    at a slower speed ?
(I cannot even get windows installed as
    the PC stalls before finishing)
    Thanks,
    Ray.

As mentioned by James the Power saver controls the CPU speed and the cooling method.
You can change the settings and check if it will help.
But one question; How long do you use this notebook or how old is it?
Sometimes after long usage the dust and debris could has a bad influence on the cooling modules and fan rotation.
Mostly a cooling module cleaning could help to prevent from the overheating. But I would not recommend to clean the notebook yourself if you have no experience.
In my opinion a technician should do that.

  • How do I diagnose buffering and freezing problems?

My home business uses flash player to stream horse race videos from four different sites for several hours every day.  How can I diagnose recurring yet unpredictable slow downs, buffering, freezing, even Flash Player crashing?   Here are the specifics:
We use Chrome, IE and Firebox browsers.  We have problems on all the browsers.
All computers in our house have problems but the primary one is: Vista Home Premium 64 bit, Windows 6.0 sp2, 4GB memory.
Our connection screams at 20GB down, 5GBup.  I run Internet speed tests during the slowdowns and we are still at this level. The main computer is hard wired into the router, all others are wireless.
Flash Player is used by all four internet sites. All are running at the lastest release version.
I have disabled hardware accelerator, checked the cache setting, etc.
We work in two modes: 1 - streaming live video from the race track.  2 - Playing archived race replays from a replay service during which we pause and rewind extensively.
Some days we have almost no buffering problems, other days the buffering is unmanageable.
Some days (during replay watching) Flash Player freezes and crashes many times, other days there is no problem.
A few months ago, there was almost no problem.  Over time things have gotten progressively worse.
How can I determine if Flash Player is the problem? Are there ways of getting throughput statistics from Flash? How can I determine the bottleneck or problem area?

The only possible ways to get a virus are:
    -Jailbreak
-Downloading an app that is not from the App Store.
Other than that, your iPhone is fine.

  • Skype constantly disconnecting and muting others' voices

I'm on Windows 8.1, and am running the most current version of Skype.Despite this, in the past couple of days alone, Skype has started acting up. I will go on skype, it will load every message just fine, I can join calls, I can talk and be heard, video works fine both ways, and I can message... Just that I can't hear what anybody in a call is saying. I can hear the notifications and the test sound, but not my friends' voices. What's more perplexing is that after 10 minutes or so I can start hearing them. Which brings me to the second problem... I only have so much time before skype disconnects me. I have been constantly disconnected from Skype despite a continuous internet connection. Somebody please help!

Make a direct connection from your PC/laptopto the modem which will eliminate the homehub. Follow this guide to do that. Use your computer as normal to see if it disconnects. If it does not disconnect you will know that there is nothing wrong with your line/connection and it may be a faulty hub . Obviously this must be done with a wired connection and no wireless devices will work while you are doing that.
Step 1: Remove the homehub from the modem
Step2: Connect your pc/laptop into the modem using LAN1 port
Step3: Open network and sharing centre on windows and click set up a new connection or network
Step4: Connect to the internet then click make a new connection Broadband PPPoE
Step5: Username [email protected] and the password as BT
Step6: connect, If it doesn't,keep pressing try again until it does.

  • Tv buffering and freezing

i have had problems with internet stopping for 2 months now my on demand tv keeps stopping
totaly fed up been on phone every night ive pushed all the buttons reset wires hooked up shut everything off but cat  seems to happen before 5pm till about midnight
was told could have tech person come out but if my fault would cost £130.00
    back to talk talk
    bigfrank

    Hi frank ,
Could you try a couple of things to see if it solves the problem ? ( and hopefully save the said 130£)
Firstly, I hope you have done the speedtest to confirm you are indeed receiving the necessary speeds.
    1. Can you restart the hub by holding down the restart button for about 10 seconds until the lights start to flash ?
    2. Can you reset the HUB to the factory settings ? There should be a pinhole of sorts behind the hub which would reset it to the factory settings. I suggest you locate the original password list close before you do this.
    3. Can you make sure there are no other computers connected to the Hub (wired or wireless ) and then see if the picture keeps freezing ?
Let us know if anything works at all.

  • Skype CONSTANTLY connecting and reconnecting

Hello, past few months I am having the error "The call is connecting" when I attempt to call someone. When I accept the call everything works perfectly for a few minutes and then it starts ... I became offline, the call starts stuttering, robotic speach, I can not hear the other side, nor they can hear me as I apperar offline to them, and everything else works perfectly fine except when I am in a call.
I have been using Skype for a long time on this same computer/same install of application and never had a problem until this past month.  I contacted Skype support and went through the troubleshooting process including checking firewall exceptions (Windows and AVG), app data skype folder, clearing out my router via resetting the power and so forth. I have also tried multiple "clean" installs of the latest Skype version but the error continues, and never had the problems before.
This confuses me further because my Skype account and Skype in general works fine from my Android tablet and android phone, but will not work from my PC at all (thus the problem is not with my account login information). I even attempted to "downgrade" Skype by downloading an older version of the product of it made no difference. I tried even with different ISPs and connections and still the same problem. I tried with all programs closed except Skype akd still problem remains ...
Lastly, to my knowledge nothing changed on my PC in terms of software, including the Skype client recently, Skype has just stopped working for me and conastantly reconnects when I am in a call or even worse when I start the call.
Does anyone have further suggestions to fix this problem?
Thank you in advance for your assistance.

Press WinKey + R to open the Run window
    Type: regedit.exe then press Enter
Delete the Skype keys on the following:
    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Policies
    HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\Policies (if any)
Now try again with above settings.
Our greatest weakness lies in giving up. The most certain way to succeed is always to try just one more time.

    Help ASAP needed

Try restoring the iPod via iTunes. First from backup and if problem persists, restore to factory defaults/new iPod.
If still problem make an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store. If your iPod is with in the one-year warrranty, not abused and defective Apple will replace it.

  • Videos that require flash player constantly restart and freeze

Running Windows 7 and have tried multiple browers and versions of Adobe Flash Player (all set back to the latest versions as of right now), and have updated my video drivers, but no matter what if I go on any website like YouTube that uses Flash Player, I can watch a video for a couple minutes and then Flash Player will freeze and reboot the video to the beginning. Closing out the window doesn't help, refreshing the page doesn't help either, it will still just let me watch for a few minutes and then freeze and restart. Very frusterated here, any idea what the problem is??

-Using 64 bit version and I've tried literally every available copy of Flash Player located in the archives. It only started doing this I'd say about a month ago maybe.
-Not sure which parts of the dxdiag report you need but this is the overall system info:

  • Firefox constantly hangs and freezes; uses 100% CPU during the freeze.

Almost spontaneously, Firefox would freeze and become unresponsive. During this time, every Firefox window is whited-out and do not respond to any input, and the Firefox process uses up 100% CPU. All active content running at the time of the freeze, if any, continue to function as normal (Videos continue to play, web applications providing audio notifications send them as normal, although any visuals are now not visible as the browser windows are frozen. The sound continues uninterrupted, however.)
Freezing may occur at any point. Even when the user does not interact with Firefox, it may still freeze. Freezing persists with all addons and plugins disabled.
The freeze would last between a few seconds to a minute, and subsequent to the freeze, Firefox always resumes responding as if nothing had happened. While it does not result in significant losses, the freezing is extremely inconvenient and may occur as frequently as once every ten minutes.
The freezing symptom is universal across all versions of firefox between 5 and 8.0a2.

There are at least four similar topics here about this problem and I have clicked the button that I too have the problem on each and every one of them.
This is the first time in years that Firefox has given me a serious enough problem to render it unusable.

  • My iphone is constantly crashing and freezing.

I have to force restart it every five minutes after the freeze. The WiFi also disables all the time. If I restart my iPhone, the WiFi will be enabled sometimes. I've charged it to one hundred percent but it still crashes and burns. It doesn't allow me to call and text even without WiFi on my data either. It is only 1 month old if that helps.

  • My FCP7 application is constantly lagging and freezing during playback.

I am working off of a 4TB external HD with nearly 2TB of free space. I am constantly getting no playback after about 30 seconds of uninterrupted playback, sometimes less. I have trashed my preference files and still have had no luck. This is bringing my workflow to a standstill and I am about to start missing deadlines. I need help ASAP. any suggestions?

do you have at least 20% free space on your startup drive?
Do you have multiple external drives connected?  Try disconnecting everything but the media drive.
How is the g-tech drive connected?  Firewire?  Thunderbolt?
You might be having a drive problem.  Run applications:  disk utility:  drive repair on all drives.  You'll need to boot of your install disk or restore partition to run it on your startup drive.  I'd also suggest getting and running DiskWarrior.  It's saved my life a few times
    http://alsoft.com/
You might do some googling and find a drive speed test application to see if there's an issue with the g-tech.

  • Image constantly reloading and freezing after external editing

After going through the following steps:
    Select an image in LR3
Edit in an external application - doesn't seem to matter which one
    Select "Edit Original"
    Save and Exit external application
    Return to LR,
Any further edits - crop, noise reduction, brush stroke, doesn't matter what, triggers LR to convulse.
By that I mean, if I attempt to apply a crop, the image blinks, zooms in, and you see the word "Loading" appear. In other actions, it just blinks, the sliders freeze, "Loading" appears, and after a few seconds, it releases. Then a few seconds later, it goes through the cycle again.
Only by exiting LR and reopeing it can I continue to work on the image without constant interruptions like the above. I know that in Develop mode, the program has to load the adjustments but why is that they don't occur with nearly the same frequency if you exit and reenter LR.
Is this bug in the program?

    Try the following:
In Edit > Catalog Settings in the Metadata Tab uncheck "Automatically write changes into XMP".
If you want to save your changes into XMP do it manually via Ctrl/Cmd + S or via Metadata > Save Metadata to File.

  • Adobe Premiere Pro is constantly crashing and freezing

I'm a new user to adobe and I've used their free trials in the past for cs6, but this latest version of Premiere Pro keeps crashing while I'm in the middle of projects. I really don't know what the problem is. Is there something I need to update?

    Macbook Pro 13" 2013

    8gb RAM
Processor  2.5 GHz Intel Core i5

"There was a serious problem with Premiere pro and it needs to shut down immediately. It will try to save your current session"

  • My Mail app on my Macbook Air with Mountain Lion constantly crashes and freezes.

Can I uninstall and reinstall it?

Launch the Console application in any of the following ways:
☞ Enter the first few letters of its name into a Spotlight search. Select it in the results (it should be at the top.)
☞ In the Finder, select Go ▹ Utilities from the menu bar, or press the key combination shift-command-U. The application is in the folder that opens.
☞ Open LaunchPad. Click Utilities, then Console in the icon grid.
    Step 1
Make sure the title of the Console window is All Messages. If it isn't, select All Messages from the SYSTEM LOG QUERIES menu on the left.
Enter the name of the crashed application or process in the Filter text field. Select the messages from the time of the last crash, if any. Copy them (command-C) to the Clipboard. Paste (command-V) into a reply to this message.
When posting a log extract, be selective. In most cases, a few dozen lines are more than enough.
Please do not indiscriminately dump thousands of lines from the log into this discussion.
Important: Some private information, such as your name, may appear in the log. Anonymize before posting.
    Step 2
Still in the Console window, look under User Diagnostic Reports for crash reports related to the process. The report name starts with the name of the crashed process, and ends with ".crash". Select the most recent report and post the entire contents — again, the text, not a screenshot. In the interest of privacy, I suggest that, before posting, you edit out the “Anonymous UUID,” a long string of letters, numbers, and dashes in the header of the report, if it’s present (it may not be.) Please don’t post shutdownStall, spin, or hang logs — they're very long and not helpful.
