Skype contact list full of random people 1000+.

Turning on skype today surprise i have 1000+ contacts and all is sorted by alphabet similar each other like systematic from A to chinese. 100% no one knows my password so It is bug or virus. If virus he was waiting long time because all this days i was doing my standard things no random links no downloading files. I know 2 more virus but they was scripts + you need to download them or press on link in skype.

Ok! I see now. Very funny ... now you can make contact list. When you select ALL you will get ALL skype users ... i don't know how it changed to all. Only now just saw contact list overall.

If you 6 menu buttons are pointing to Tracks then select the Track and in the property inpector you can set the Menu Remote Control options. Set Menu to the button on the menu you want to jump to.
You can set this option individually for chapters in a Track also so,

Skype Contact List question

Quick question...Can anyone tell me why my skype contact list doesn't have the magnifying glass and alphabet listed on the right side of the screen as the phone's internal contact list does? My wife has the exact same iPhone 4, with the same version of skype on it and her skype contact list has the alphabet bar.
I think it has something to do with my skype account because when I log in with her account on my phone, the alphabet bar show up. Likewise, when I log into my account on her phone, the alphabet bar disappears. Any suggestions? Thanks in advance.

Contact list favorites adds random numbers with no name associated

I have an iphone 4s that will populate random numbers into my favorites list. After deleting them out, they reappear. They are not associated with anyone in my contact list. Any ideas or resolutions?

Could someone please assist in restoring all contact info. The last sync session lost all names associated with numbers and the contacts are now showing as an email address only????

Firefox 4, installed, It was opening Yahoo Contact List full screen, vice "window". Removed 4 and restalled 3.6 to solve problem.

Used 4 about six weeks and twice it opened the address book on Yahoo in full screen instead of "window" style. The first time it all of sudden opened to full screen. About three days later it by it self returned to window by itself. three weeks later it restarted again with full screen. ran this way for six days. I reloaded 3.6 and have not had a problem since. I did run Yahoo on IE and Google Chrome with no problem.

I have this same problem. Firefox 4 on 10.6.7 on a 2009 unibody Macbook Pro.
I've noticed that I only have the problem when I'm using multiple monitors and my Firefox 4 window is to the left of the Mac OS X Menu Bar.
My typical arrangement is: laptop monitor with firefox 4 window TO THE LEFT OF external Dell 24 inch monitor with Mac OS X Menu bar.
Moving my Firefox 4 window to the external monitor allows me to open a window.

I had to change my password. Unfortunately my skype name was changed, too.So, I lost my skype contact list. How can I get back the contact list and my previous skype name?

Your report reads to me like your account was compromised (hacked). If you still have control of it, sign on to the account dashboard and change your account's registered e-mail address to something else, and then change the password.
Also, as a proactive measure, ensure your computer's software and patches are updated, and run your preferred anti-virus/malware/spyware program using the most recent virus signature files available.

Skype is aware of lingering problems with the website when contacting their customer service agents. How do I alphabetically sort people in a contact list?

I created a contact list of about 50 people. Their information was added at different times. It appears that every-time I added a contact it went to the end of the list. Is there a way to take the completed list and arrange it alphabetically by last name?

Address Book -> Preferences -> General, use the Sort By pop-up.

Hello Everyone, I'm trying to access my Skype contact list on my Galaxy S3 so that I can edit it, but I do not seem to be able to. I've gone to the help page to try and find out where it is, but the steps say to tap the three dots in the upper right corner for "More"...but I do not have that emblem?!?! Has this issue been resolved, or are people still unable to access their contacts?

I get unwanted skype contact requests

Hi I have set my privacy settings to receiving messages only from those on my contact list but I continue to get multiple requests a day from spam/unwanted users. I always block them but I would prefer to not receive them at all. I don't know how they see my skype account or name to be able to contact me past the security settings.

Has anyone noticed that the sudden influx of unwanted contacts coincides with the closing off of MSN Messenger and Microsoft's insistence that one's original Skype entity MUST show your gender and birth date now. Reading through some of the various messages about this problem it seems to be mostly (but not always, of course) women who are getting spammed with these contacts.
Come on Microsoft/Skype... it's time that a Privacy Option is instigated to enable a user to disallow contact requests by default. Before you say this is unworkable, it just means that if you have "locked down" your privacy to only allowing, say, calls, video/share screen, and IMs from people in your contact list only, then if someone you know wants to be on your Skype contact list they would probably have asked you for your id another way and you could temporarily uncheck this option to "open it up".
And how come when the Allow IMs from... anyone/people in my Contact list only is set to the latter option, these requests still come through anyway. After all, they come as an IM.
Even if the above suggestion wouldn't be practical, it's well past time that someone starting thinking out of the box for a solution.

Font in contact list

My font in my contact list changed overnight to tiny. Why? And why can't we control our own font in Skype contact lists? How can i fix this?

In your case and your case only.
1. Please stop any and all running Skype Client programs on your system.
2. Using your Windows Control Panel Add/Remove Programs uninstall Skype, when prompted to save your history, choose yes.
3. Using Windows File Explorer do:
%appdata%\skype
If you find a file called shared.xml right click on it and choose delete.
4. If you see a folder for the Skype name in question, click on it, if you see a file called Config.xml right click on it and choose delete.
5. Using the Windows file Explore enter:
%programfiles%
Right click on the Skype folder and choose delete.
6. Please install the beta version using the instructions below:
If you have the normal Skype version installed, please install the beta version, if you have the beta version installed please install the normal version from Skype.com, please do NOT remove the current Skype installation, install over it.
You can install the current release or the Current beta release by doing this from the top of this page:
Get Skype -> Windows -> Choose the normal or beta release, please do NOT remove what you already have installed, simply, install over.
These instructions have worked for many and is the quickest thing to try to resolve issues such as this.
This should get fonts back to normal.

Nokia N8 - Contact List disappear ?

I have a Nokia N8 , recently i am facing one problem, my all the contact no. are disappear from the contact list , I don't know how was this happened? Before 10 days same problem i was face but after 2 -3 days all the contact list are appeared. so please tell me the solution for this. I can't wait for the 2-3 days. If any one have solutions please let me know.

A reboot, factory reset nor firmware reinstalling doesn't solve the problem, it only works temporarily. When the list freezes I am able to swipe through it up and down, though selecting contacts is not possible. I do see a cursor blinking in the lower half of the screen, at the position where the search window normally is. The search window itself is vanished.
Does anyone happen to know how i can really fix the problem permanent?
I used to experience the same problem on the N8, though the freeze isn't only limited to accessing the contact list but happens randomly when swiping through home screens, opening a folder etc. I managed to resolve this problem though I have forgotten what exactly it is. If I'm not mistaken it is due to an installed (bad) application that is causing the freeze. In my case it's the Whatsapp application. The freezing problem seemed to have disappeared after I removed the application from the phone and reintall it back again.

When asked about use of my contact list, I did NOT intend access to personal ID pictures of some of my contacts. Please do NOT use anything other than names and email addresses of my contacts. REMOVE sny pictorial/graphic display of any of my contacts.

Please kindly clarify what this request was?
Did this have to do with adding a contact list to your Skype contacts list, and sending those who were not currently Skype accountholders a contact invitation?
If you wish to not view contact pictures on your Contact list, in the Win7 PC version of Skype, click on Tools -> Options -> General -> un-check Show Profile Pictures on Contact List -> Save.

if you wish to add someone to your Skype Contact list but do not know their Skype Name, it is possible to reference an email address that this person may have registered with Skype, but you must know that email address in its entirety to search Skype using it
I'm not not sure how this applies to users who use their Microsoft credentials to sign in to Skype

My wife's phone does this, as well as delete apps...it's because she doesn't bother to lock the phone when she puts it in her purse by tapping the sleep/wake button. Not saying this is the case with you, but I've seen this before & that's the reason why.
