Skype Contacts Deleted Apon Left Click

When I went to go to my skype to check a message, all my chat history and contacts were deleted... I really need my contacts back as they were my important friends. I do not know what happebned... and its urgent I get them back... please help....

Sounds very simular to my experience starting yesterday.
Windows version 7 pro.
Skype version 7.4.64.102.
After a Windows update and reboot yesterday, I found my contact list is blank. I always keep the setting to show ALL contacts. After some quick investigations I have found:
If I change this setting to show skype contacts, the screen is blank
If I change this setting to show all contacts, the screen is blank
I am still getting notifications someone came online, although I cannot see them in the contact list since it is blank.
I can go to the recent contacts and the screen will populate
I can change the contacts to only show online and the screen will populate.
Signing out and signing back in, doesn't change anything.
Rebooting the computer doesn't change anything.

thank you for your response! I know this sounds crazy, but I don't have the contacts on my computer - I was, for the first time, inputting them onto my iPad. If that was the only place they were saved, is there any way to restore them? Do you know why this would have happened and/or how I can prevent it from happening in the future? I appreciate any help you can offer...

Skype contactss deleted automatically

My Account is manu8767.
My skype contact were deleted automatically. Day before yesterday all were just fine. Now Yesterday when i check during the day none of the contact is getting displayed. In chat history it showing chats but when i do click on any of the chat for that particular contact on top of screen it showing "Add to contacts".
I Checked my account is not hacked as well as i have changed my password.
Can any one please help me out to get my all contacts in list back.

All contacts deleted

All the contacts on my skype was deleted, and the money from the account have dissappeared... Please advise what to do with it...

Duplicate skype contacts in the main contacts

my contact list shows duplicate skpye contacts and the duplicates keep on increasing , i have stopped the syn of skype contacts from the skype settings , but still the skype contacts duplicate after a while , i feel that restarting skype changes the settings of Sync contacts withing skype
i have manually deleted the skype contact from the main contacts, but sooner or later , they appear again !
Any advice

This is a known problem with skype, the only current solution seems to be uninstall skype.

Is there some way to add multiple addresses to an email I am sending that doesn't close the contact list after I click on an address? This necessitates constantly going back to click the + sign to add each address separately.

Is there some way I can open the contact list, click on all of the individual addresses to which I want to send the email without the list closing between each address entry, and have all of my address entries be listed to the email at one time? Something like it works in Gmail. I do not want to use set lists, I want to enter different addresses each time I send an email. And I am a very slow typist, so I don't want to type the first few letters of each recipient's name. It is much faster for me to just click on the e-mail addresses in the list as a group. It doesn't make any sense to me to have to reopen the contact list for each address, when it should be so easy to click on all of the addresses I want at one time and then click once to add them all to the email as a group. If there is a solution to this, please tell me. Thanks.

Try this:
1. Select Mail>File>New Message.
2. Select Mail>Window>Address Panel.
3. Use (command+click) on the desired addressees in the Address Panel to create the list.
4. Click "To:" on the top left of the Address Panel.
The group that you selected will be added to the "To" field in your New Message.

2008 Macbook pro left click not working properly after upgrading to 10.6.8

I have a 2008 Macbook pro and a few months ago after upgrading to 10.6.8 my left click has been wonky.
Using the trackpad the left click eventually gets "stuck" or stops responding and I have to push it multiple times before it does anything. I have tried plugging in a mouse, but when I do so the mouse also behaves the same way. The only way I seem to be able to get the clicking to work properly is to restart the computer with the mouse attached.
I have seen threads about trackpads being messed up by swollen batteries, but my battery is brand new and looks fine, and the clicking problem extends to an external mouse, so I believe it is something with the preferences.
I tried deleting com.apple.driver.AppleBluetoothMultitouchTrackpad.plist and restarting and the problem seemed to be fixed, but then after about a half hour it returned.
Having to keep a mouse plugged into my macbook is driving me crazy, anyone know a solution?

I started having the same issue after update. I'm on a MacBookpro running 10.7.2
ICalled apple and they did a remove battery reboot, a reload lion and a option/command/R/P reboot on startup and then the computer started working. Two days later problem was back. I then did a reboot and the computer was back to working. Today the computer worked fine tell it went to sleep. I had to do a hard reboot to get the Mac up and running and now no left click. Please help. I can not use the Mac with the trackpad, a mouse, a Bluetooth mouse, or a digital pad. All so signs of left mouse click not working. One other item when you go to pick your user at startup the left mouse click works. Help!

Can't Left Click in Flash Player Settings Panel - HELP PLEASE

Hi and thanks for taking the time to read this. Believe me it is a fraction of the time I have wasted trying to resolve this issue.
Basic problem is:
I am trying to stream to Ustream but since downloading AFP11 for my Windows PC when I open the Flash Player Settings panel i can't left click on anything. It is set to deny but I can't click allow, or close or any of the icons.
Right click does work.
I have followed countless instructions in other forums from other posts that have encountered the problem on Mac and older versions of AFP but as yet none of the solutions have proven succesul.
I have tried all of the following but nothing has resolved the problem.
1. Uninstall and reinstall Adobe Flash Player (although this is impossible using Google Chrome) and restart computer.
2. Unistall flash and install older version. (made no difference on Google Chrome and on IE8 had no flash whatsoever).
5. Uninstall older AFP and reinstall AFP11.
4. Uninstall Google Chrome and restart computer.
5. Uninstall QuickTime (I got this off http://www.techsupportforum.com/forums/f10/flash-player-not-working-properly-please-help-1 61552.html) and restart computer
6. Last resort use keyboard shortcuts such as tab, enter and ctrl+arrows. This either didn't highlight the panel at all or if it did I still couln't select allow, or close the panel itself so was no help either.
So now I'm back to square one.
Now here's a really bizarre thing... I am using a shared laptop computer and if I use my colleagues profile where she hasn't updated her AFP to Adobe Flash Player 11 the settings panel is responding just fine. IT'S THE SAME PC!
I know I am alone with this problem but someone out there has an answer. If you can help please let me know how to fix this problem where I can't left click in the Adobe Flash Player settings panel.and I will be eternily grateful.

OK the amount I hate myself right now is more than a fat guy's self loathing for raiding the fridge at 2am for Pizza but less than an armed robber who's accidentally shot a pregnant woman in the stomach during a shootout. but not much less.
So after I had miraculously got the Flash Player Setting Panel to work again, (after deleting QuickTime and leaving the window open for abut an hour it just started working again) I then got enticed into downloading the ustream producer software.
While downloading it informed me that it would only work with QuickTime.
Stupidly and Optimistically hoping it would remove the need to use flash player altogether I downloaded and installed both.
I then discovered to my horror that Ustream producer is not a patch on Vidbalster and that it was not capable of delivering the same level of broadcast.
I then opened the flash player settings panel on ustream and... the problem has returned!
This means I am 99% sure that QuickTime IS the cause of the problem so I have uninstalled QT off the PC. I have also uninstalled Ustream Producer.
The thing is though, now no matter how many times I restart, or uninstall and reinstall Adobe, or Google Chrome, I am once again UNABLE TO LEFT CLICK IN THE FLASH PLAYER SETTINGS PANEL. AAAARRRRRGGGGHHHH!!!!
What did I do? I fixed it and f***ing broke it again!
Now it properly will not come back to life! the problem is not solved and i urgently need help.
Why does Adobe Flash Player Settings Panel and Apple QuickTime hate each other so much that they've got to ruin my life?

USB Mouse Left Click not working, DV6700

I have been using 2 hands to operate the simplist functions on my laptop.
I move the mouse around with my right hand but if I want to click something I have to use the left button under the mouse-pad.
HP support gave me a solution that worked for about an hour (Reset BIOS to default) .
The right click on the mouse (ANY USB mouse) works fine. Its just the select button.
I hate this!

To CLARIFY:
ANY USB Mouse that I plug into my (DV6700 HP Pavillion) Laptop--- the left click button doesnt work unless I hold it down for over a minute and move it around clicking on and off over and over. It can take 2 minutes before it actually clicks. So, I use the left button under the touch pad. That means its impossible to use this computer for games AND dragging and dropping is weird because I never got used to doing it with a touchpad.
I doubt I will ever buy another HP because of this. I HATE IT!!!
Other USB products act weird too.
I have also deleted all USB components in Control Panel and had windows reinstall them with the wizard.
It worked briefly (couple minutes) then was corrupted again.
Am I supposed to just throw this thing away?

Left click not working

I'm having problems with the iMac. My left-click won't work despite trying different peripherals (trackpad, USB mouse). I have shut down, unplugged, restarted multiple times. Occasionally it will then work, but always goes back to the problem within a few hours. I have run an anti-viral program with no changes. Is this something anyone else is having trouble with? My OS is the most current version of Mavericks.

Using and Configuring the Touch Pad
Even after this is the Left click does not work you might have to get the part replaced.
If your notebook is still under warranty, contact HP and arrange to have the part replaced.
If you are out of warranty and would like a guide on replacing the part yourself, please let me know.

How do I fix a nonresponsive left click?

My daughter's macbook, circa 2008, is not left clicking easily anymore. Is there a simple fix for this aside from an external mouse? Thank you!

Welcome to Apple Support Communities.
You could try turning the unit off, turning it upside down and shaking it gently to see if there is anything lodged underneath the button. A blast of compressed air might also dislodge anything preventing the button from working. If that doesn't help, the external or wireless mouse is the next option. After that, a replacement trackpad/keyboard, called a 'topcase' in MacBook-speak, would be a solution.
If the leading edges of the topcase have cracked (Apple calls it 'chipping') where they contact the edges of the top/screen when closed, you might get a free replacement topcase from an Apple Store.
There are a number of reports in these forums where free replacements occurred, with or without extended AppleCare coverage, as well as reports where a free replacement was denied. Mine was replaced at no charge out-of-warranty about two years ago for the chipping issue, not because of any problem with the button.

W520 - touch pad left click issue

Earlier today my left touch pad mouse click started to stop functioning correctly. It will only work correctly every 8 to 15 times it is clicked leaving it unresponsive and unpredictable. The right works perfectly fine as do the trackpad buttons. I have uninstalled and reinstalled the drivers and have sprayed compressed air under the key.
I had a similar problem with the laptop when i first got it but at that time the touch pad itself as well as the left click did not function properly. The face plate was replaced which fixed the issue.
Is there anything i can do software wise that might fix the problem before i have to pay to fix the hardware?

If the unit is not the old one you should contact your local dealer or maybe Toshiba service partner in your country. Your unit has a valid warranty and you can ask them if there is a possibility to do something about that.

Left-click working only on tab, not on minimize or in my case in Bugzilla listbox.

Any list box that I try to left-click is not working. I have to use the keyboard to select.
This problem is happening right now with the "This happened" list box.

You can try a clean reinstall of the Firefox program in case some files are corrupted or didn't get updated properly.
Do a clean (re)install and delete the Firefox program folder (C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox\).
Download a fresh Firefox copy and save the file to the desktop.

Uninstall your current Firefox version, if possible.
*Do NOT remove personal data when you uninstall the current version or you lose your bookmarks and other data because all profile folders will be removed.

Mavericks Mail: Has anyone experienced multiple messages deleting on one click?

Earlier today I began to see multiple mail messages deleted in one click. At first I thought I might have been clicking too fast and was causing the problem, but I have verified that was not the case. It occured several times on message threads, but also on unique messages not related.
This is very concerning as I now have to look in the Trash to ensure I did not miss any important messages. Lots of strange behavior with the Mavericks upgrade - is a fix coming out soon?

I used to find this happening with older version of OSX after I did my usual 6 month clean, wipe, re-install and resume.
It's possible that the file which keeps a track of message downloaded from the server is corrupt. Goto ~/Library/Mail where "~" is your home folder and then delete these files

This is in ~/Library/Mail then a folder which contains your email address example "Mac-steve.jobs"
inside there should be a folder list something similar to this:
Junk.imapmbox
Sent Messages.imapmbox

Drafts.imapmbox
Deleted Messages.imapmbox
Inside each of them is a folder, called "Messages" and also some files, delete the files but not the "Messages" folder.
When you reopen Mail it will be as if you opened it for the first time. See if the emails come in, if they do then it's more likely to be a setting in Mail or even possibly something that's happening at the remote email server.
In Mail Right or Control Click in the left hand panel and select "Get Info" a box will come up with a drop down selection at the top showing active email accounts, select the one you are having problems with, either a list of folders will come up or a big long list of email messages, depending on how many you have will depend on how long it takes for the list to update. Once it has, select all the emails and Select "Remove From Server" this will delete them all from the server so at least when you re-open Mail they don't all come in again.

Left Click doesn't work in Hotmail or Yahoo

I was running low on disk space and my IT dept said they deleted some "temporary files". Whatever they did hosed IE so that it reverted from v8 to v7. They redid the IE upgrade and installed a bunch of updates from MS and upgraded Java, but I'm still having a problem in FF. Most sites are fine, but when I go to Yahoo or Hotmail email, left click doesn't work. I've tried uninstalling/reinstalling FF. I've tried running FF in safe mode and reinstalling some of the plugins that I thought might possibly have an effect. I still can't get it to work. I've used some of the web dev tools in FF, all I can find out is some of the errors that are reported on page load. On Hotmail, one is that a var called "JQuery" is undefined, among others.

Clear the cache and the cookies from sites that cause problems.
"Clear the Cache":
*Tools > Options > Advanced > Network > Offline Storage (Cache): "Clear Now"
"Remove Cookies" from sites causing problems:
*Tools > Options > Privacy > Cookies: "Show Cookies"
Start Firefox in <u>[[Safe Mode]]</u> to check if one of the extensions or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Appearance/Themes).
*Don't make any changes on the Safe mode start window.
