Skype credit redirect to polish website

Hi, I am trying to purchase Skype credit through my account and everytime I click buy Skype credit I get redirect aurtomatically to a polish website 'onet.pl skype'. The entire website is in polish with no option to change the language.
I have never been to Poland so not sure why this is happening.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,

  • Skype Credit ran out in 2 Minutes?

Hey, I bought $7 of skype credit off of the website, and it said I could make calls for 2.3 cents a minute. So, I made a local call, and it was only about 2 minutes long, at most. Then I tried to make another local call, and it said that the call could not be completed because I didn't have enough credit. When I looked at how much credit I had it said I had $0. Something must be wrong because I don't recall it saying a local call was $4 a minute. Please help, thanks.

    Hi Reid,
Your order has been reversed. Did you by any chance purchase this credit through some campaign?
Or did you purchase it from account page: https://secure.skype.com/account/
I'd recommend contacting customer service and they will be able to investigate why order was reversed: https://support.skype.com/en/faq/FA1170/How-can-I-contact-Skype-Customer-Service

Trying to buy credit for my skype account for the first time.
Once I click the "buy skype credit" on the .com site, I get redirected to a chinese Skype(?) site.
    http://skype.gmw.cn/product/productlist.html
Even with the english translation link, its still trying to sell me credit in RMB..
    Is this scammy or right?
How do I stop it redirecting..?

Restart your iPad. Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button until the red slider appears. Slide your finger across the slider to turn off iPad. To turn iPad back on, press and hold the Sleep/Wake until the Apple logo appears.

  • How can I prevent the "Buy Skype Credit" link from...

Recently, I would like to add more credit to my Skype account, since my credit card limit has reached, I would like to change another credit card for the skype payment. But the Skype website kept redirecting me to the Taiwanese Skype website. To add credit and setup automatic payment with Taiwanese Skype website, it asked for detailed personal information, but its page kept complaining about my Taiwanese address with this message "Please enter the correct address!"
This s*cking website was so annoying that I would rather use the US website for purchasing credit. However, the website just won't stop redirecting me yo Taiwanese Skype site no matter how I set the language of my browser or location of the Skype account. Is there anyway to resolve this issue? No more Taiwanese Skype site!

I have a similar Mac mini setup running Mac OS X 10.5.6 (Leopard) and I do NOT see that message?
Making a wild guess, by any chance did you configure a Bluetooth keyboard/mouse in System Preferences -> Keyboard & Mouse?
The equipment I have connected to my Mac mini are the ethernet cable and a USB External disk (Drobo w/3TB). Nothing else is attached to my Mac mini.
I only had a keyboard/monitor/mouse connected once when I first set up my Mac mini. I have not needed to connect it to anything since then. And I do not see any messages about missing mouse

  • Skype credit automatically purchased

Hi, MaskB, and welcome to the Community,
Please check your account dashboard for anything, particularly outgoing calls, which you did not place.  These are clues that your account may have been compromised.  In the Skype for Windows Desktop version, re-setting an account password is as easy as clicking Skype -> Change Password on the top menu bar.
To obtain a refund - you have a limited timeframe in which to do this - you need to contact Skype Customer Service quickly.
Skype is aware of lingering website issues particularly when attempting to reach the customer service unit. Temporarily enabling scripts, pop-up dialog boxes, and disabling plug-ins which could prohibit pop-ups may help get past website problems. Here is a link to the instruction on how to contact Skype Customer Service via their secure portal: Contact Customer Service
If you still experience difficulty reaching Skype Customer Service or find yourself redirected back to the Community, please try again using a different web browser and choosing a different path through the various drop-down menu options presented.
Also, look to approve a pop-up dialogue box which would connect you to start an instant message chat with a customer service agent. If you have pop-ups blocked in your browser settings, this will also block reaching an agent.
Last and not least, when you reach the last step of the process, remember to click on the "Start Chat" link when you are provided the choice of visiting the Community or starting an instant message chat with a customer service agent.

Hi,I havn't been using skype for a while now. Might even for a few years, can't recall.Anyway, 2 days ago I connected and made a skype video call.Today, I have received an email from Skype thanking me for allowing automatic purchase of skype credit. The payment was made through my paypal account, which might have been in the system since the last time I bought credit (over 3 years ago!).I am trying to contact the Skype financial support and can't find anyway to get to them.Does anybody know how can I do it?I am the only user on my PC, and it's impossible for someone else to allow this auto payment. I certainly did not allow it, since I have no need of it, especially when I'm home with my cell phone. Will be thankful for any help.Mask

  • Can no longer buy skype credit in Canadian Dollars...

I bought my computer 4 years ago in China.  Over there, I paid using my former Chinese bank account.
18 months ago I returned to Canada and started buying skype credit using my Canadian Visa paying in CDN Dollars.
The past six months however I cannot buy credit because the payment page it switches to is the Skype China website requesting payment in RMB.
For five months I was able to use skype by turning on the auto recharge option, where my Canadian visa details are stored.  Last month, however, the skype system recharged 14 CDN Dollars, but at the same time cancelled the auto recharge.  Now, the system does not let me start up the auto recharge.
On my skype account page on the top right I see the skype China payment company's logo.  Clicking the logo, a sign appears saying:  "This company gives you more payment options." (in English)    My Visa credit card is valid and not part of the problem.  What is the problem?

     Hello,
please contact Skype customer service who will de-link your account from the Chinese website.

  • Please fix Skype Credit page - it does NOT load pr...

I cannot get the Skype Credit page to load on many of my personal computers (4 to be exact) and also seen this problem on some friends' computers too. I get a page with a "Loading" text and a blue dot above it. That is all.
    What I've tried:
    - Latest browsers (Chromium, Firefox, Opera)
    - Latest Adobe Flash version
    - older browsers (FF 3.6, FF 24, Opera 10/11, and IE
The results are consistent across these and the Skype Credit page simply refuses to load/display. All of my personal computers are virus and malware free. In fact, I recently did a fresh Windows 7 install on one of them, and tested the Skype Credit page right after that only to find it didn't work.
Is there some special requirement for that page? Java? Security settings?
Honestly, this is very frustrating! I have never had such problems with any other website before. And if a certain website didn't display properly for me in one browser, I never had problems getting it to work in a different browser.
I should note that *most* other Skype pages work (though not all of them). In any case, I really can't be bothered to go checking each one for you all. All I want to do is Log In so I can Buy some stupid Skype Credit.
Please give me some suggestions on what to do or how to go about this.

Hi, sorry it took me so long to reply. I finally had some time to troubleshoot the issue, and fortunately I found what was wrong .
But first, I must say that I am deeply ashamed, and I apologize to for coming here and blaming Skype, because it turns out the fault is completely mine. The problem was that a while back, a tech buddy of mine sent me his Windows "hosts" files (the hosts file allows a simple way to block unwanted and dangerous websites, as well as advertisements from loading on your computer). Most of the time, I do pay attention when I compile my hosts file, but this time I assumed my buddy's list of blocked websites was reasonable.
Turns out, he had the following entries in there (without the quotation marks):
    "skypeassets.com"
    "secure.skypeassets.com"
That means, any web page that needed to access these was blocked from loading. As a result, this is what broke the Skype Credit page.
I attached a screenshot to show what the Buy Skype Credit page looks like when it is blocked, so that way, if anyone has this issue and wonders why it's not working, check your hosts file (found in "C:\WINDOWS\System32\drivers\etc").
The Buy Skype Credit page now seems to work fine in all of my browsers (Firefox 32, Firefox 24, Opera 12/11/10, and IE8 ). I also tested IE6 just for giggles, but it gives a "Page Cannot be Displayed" error. This is very common with IE6, though. I'm just stating this in case anyone is still running that dinosaur browser (please don't, it's not safe or compatible).
Thanks, and I hope this was somewhat helpful .

  • Skype Credit Bought on my Account - Need Refund

£80 of Skype credit was bought on my account.
I was locked out of my account as a result.
How can I claim a refund?

Hi, goateez, and welcome to the Community,
Here is a link to the instruction on how to contact Skype Customer Service via their secure portal: Contact Customer Service   and here is a link to the FAQ which explains how to start an instant message chat session with a customer service agent:  https://support.skype.com/en/faq/FA10656/what-is-live-chat-support
This FAQ article provides information Skype will need:
    https://support.skype.com/en/faq/FA10384/why-has-my-credit-debit-card-been-charged-by-skype-when-i-h...
If you experience difficulty reaching Skype Customer Service, try again using a different web browser and choosing a different path through the various drop-down menu options presented. Also, look to approve a pop-up dialogue box which would connect you to start an instant message chat with a customer service agent. If you have pop-ups blocked in your browser settings, this will also impede reaching an agent.
Skype is aware of problems with the website when contacting their customer service unit.  Skype is working on resolving the issue; more people seem to be getting through and more quickly than in previous weeks since the issue appeared in June 2014.
The goal is to reach a customer service agent in order to start an instant message chat session with an agent, so several attempts and taking different paths through the various drop-down menu choices presented seems to be working.

  • Skype credit issues

    Hi,
I have an issue with my skype credit.
Last week I did the payment to recharge my Skype credit.
My Skype credit history says it was 'DELIVERED' however I didn't see any recharge in my account.
I already checked the following link:
    https://support.skype.com/en/faq/FA37/why-is-my-account-balance-not-updated
However is not helping me that much. For this I want to get in touch via email with the customer service to look after this issue in order to provide specific personal information.
Looking forward to hear from you.
    Regards,
    Marina

Hi, Marina, and welcome to the Community,
Please contact Skype Customer Service directly to enquire.  Skype uses a webform system; here is a link to the instruction on how to contact Skype Customer Service via their secure portal: Contact Customer Service
You will need to proceed through each step, one at a time. Sign on to the Skype website as requested. Choose the subject and topic which most closely matches the item you need assistance with. Then, continue past Step 2 of the instruction where several articles from the FAQ library will appear for you to review, and proceed to Step 3, Continue Support Request (the blue "button" appears at the lower right corner of the website page). You may also skip through Step 4 where you will be referred back here to the Community; no need to do this as the Community is where you started. When you complete the webform and click Submit, your information is relayed to Skype and you will receive a reply via e-mail unless you are transferred to start an instant message chat session with a Customer Service agent.
    Regards,
    Elaine

  • Purchase of online number with Skype Credit

I purchased $30, but I of Skype credit and went to purchase an online number with it, but I keep getting the same message to sign in to my account to purchase.  I am signed in, it says hello to me.  So the next thing I tried was to sign out of Skype completely and Quit it on the desk top, then sign in again.  nope same message.  I selected a special number for this and now it is expiring because I can't make skype take skype credit!  What so I do, time is short.  With the plan I purchased I was suppose to have live chat with skype to troubleshoot the problem, but I don't have access to that either!

    Hello,
For a few countries a legally binding agreement requires you to be transferred automatically to Skype's local partner website if you established your account in that country. This can't be changed. The workaround is to create a new account.

  • Re: My inactive skype credit cannot be reactivated

As per other posters, I have received the email prompting me to reactivate my credit.  But yet again the email is misleading (I've seen this before, some time ago & still not rectified).  It states:
"But don't worry - once it becomes inactive, you can reactivate it whenever you're ready to use it. Simply sign into your account online and follow the option to Reactivate credit.".
Firstly, if I log in to my Skype account direct from Skype.com, I do not see any option to 'Reactivate'!  I then searched forums and found this link: https://secure.skype.com/portal/settings/credit/reactivate.  If I login via this I do get 'Reactivate Skype Credit' at top of screen with a back (left facing) arrow next to it which appears to be the clickable option.  However, if I click on this all it does is takes me back to a page saying "Your Skype Credit becomes inactive in nn day(s)."  I first assumed there was a time delay on this, but no.  I've logged in a few days later and still does not appear to be reactivated.
If Skype send an email, it would help if the instructions bore some relation to the reality!  Despite numerous attempts, I still do not appear to have reactivated my credit.  PLEASE advise how one can actually do this.
(I am mindful of one of designer Dieter Rams's famous 'ten commandments': "Good design is self-explanatory".  In this respect, Skype's website/process certainly isn't good design).

This is really interesting. It seems as if Microsoft/Skype deleted my old posts, or made them difficult to find, and forgot to take me off my own thread. I created this thread sometime ago to find a solution to my inactive skype credit.
I was able to get my credits reactivated, but to the people that asked me how to do it, I couldn't give them an answer. I received an "update internet explorer" post. But at that time, I didn't do any such thing since I do not understand how IE and Skype are related. Nevertheless my credits seemed to reappear. I have since let the credits go back into inactive mode out curiosity. I've logged my post and saved to my records this time, so hopefully, it will stay up, and this problem can keep receiving exposure.
As I typed this I remember now that I posted Skype's terms of conditions. Here is section 9.2 from their February 25, 2015 version of Skype's terms and conditions. It reads:
"9.2 Inactive Skype Credit. If you do not use your Skype Credit for a period of 180 days, (including Skype Credit that has been allocated to you by a Skype Manager administrator or another Skype user) Skype will place your Skype Credit on inactive status. You can reactivate the Skype Credit by following the reactivation link in My Account at https://secure.skype.com/account/credit-reactivate. Reactivated Skype Credit is not refundable."
So, if you haven't tried to go to that link, I would do that first. Hope this helps.

  • Skype Credit Dropping Fast!

    Hi All,
I've made a dozen or so calls to a South African landline just lately. The PAYG call cost from the UK is 2.3p/min (inc VAT), with no connection charge. I reckon I've made roughly £5 of calls but my Skype credit has dropped my much more than this.
Is it possible to get a breakdown of all the debits to my Skype credit? I've searched the website but all I can get is the overall balance.
    Thanks

    Hello Steve,
The cost of calls to South Africa from anywhere (including from within South Africa) is as follows:
There is a connection fee for all PAYG calls worldwide.  There is no sales tax (VAT) payable as you have already paid tax on your Skype Credit purchase.
You can see a breakdown of your call costs at your Account Page.
If you let me know where you saw the prices you quote I'll see if we need to amend/clarify the text.
