Skype Credit used before monthly subscription

Hi. I have Skype credit (Australian $) which I bought for ringing various countries.
However, I also have a monthly subscription for calls from New Zealand to Sweden. Whenever I call Sweden, Skype deducts from my Skype credit rather than from my monthly 120 minutes allowance provided by my monthly subscripition.
How do I get Skype to use my free minutes (from my monthly subscription) FIRST?

Please check that your subscription covers calls to the Swedish number you are trying to reach - some subscriptions cover calls to land lines (also known as fixed lines), for example, and not mobile numbers. If it does, please contact Skype customer service to report this issue.

Additional $5 Skype Credit when Buying a Subscript...

You may notice that recently, when you order a subscription, say Unlimited US and Canada, there is an automatic add-up of Skype Credit worth $5.
Why is this so?
Actually, I do not really know [aside from the thought that it could be a strategy to get more funds from users to compensate the abused/ misused freebies and discounted products of Skype]. However, if you will try to make a legitimate justification, it could be that Skype's intention is this:
If ever you want to call someone that is not in the country covered by your subscription, you can do so by using the credit. You may also send any mobile an SMS, connect to Skype WiFi, forward your calls to your phone, and buy other Skype products. Before, users have the option to uncheck this additional credit, which was then a ONE TIME add-up. So, when the payment recurs, only the subscription's fee renews. But this time, I am not sure yet if it's also one time. I will surely edit this note once I get to be sure.
For now, it's up to you guys if you'll treat the add-up as a blessing or a curse. For me, there is always an alternative! Just like the free Unlimited World for one month. ^_^

Here's the update we've been waiting for! Disclaimer: This is not official since this is just my experiment on Feb 11, 2014.
To start off, what you'll see are initiated purchases using my two accounts. One is my Linked MS account and another is a legacy.
Let's start with my Linked MS Account. Press "Ctrl" and "+" to zoom in. To zoom in some more, press "+" more than once.
As you can see, I have an option to uncheck the additional Skype Credit when I used my Linked MSA. Let's take a look at what happened when I use my legacy account.
Yes, yes. What bug are they saying? I knew it wasn't a bug. It's another capital M and S. And that is Marketing Strategy. Looks like Microsoft gives you another "advantage" if you "decide" to use an MSA for Skype.
BTW, I use my legacy account a lot. The Live one was created for checking things out.
Any thoughts?

Can't use my monthly subscription

I bought $14.99 worth of skype credits yesterday, $5 was for the on the go skype credit while the other $9.99 was a monthly subscription.But I have only been allowed to use the $5 credits, the monthly subscription is not active. Can you please help and activate that for me since i really need to make some calls? Thanks

I checked your account and it seems like you purchased a subscription which is identical to the one you already have. Please be aware that when you purchase an identical subscription, it will just extend your current subscription. But the new subscription you bought will only become active once the old one expires. I have sent a private message to you regarding when you can use your newly bought subscription. You can find the link to your mailbox on the top right of the community.

Free skype to go with monthly subscription

Hi how can I change my 'free skype to go number' I'm subscribe with monthly subscription. The thing is My friend has her own skype account and also me then we are both subscribe to 400min monthly subscription (Philippines) and we are here in Singapore. We have the same 'free skype to go number' but diffirent skype account and we are using one common the same Home Landline number. I just wonder how will skype know which is which to charge. Your Subscription covers calls to Greek landlines. Calls to other countries and/or phone types (e.g. cellphones) require either a Subscription which includes those call types OR Skype Credit.

"Itemised billing" of Skype Credit used for phone calls (Skype Credit Usage History)

It is very diffilult to obtain a summary of your Skype Credit usage history. I want to know how much each call cost. I found it on this website:https://secure.skype.com/account/usage I noted my Skype call credit was used in a very short period and I wanted to know which calls were responsible for this. It's almost impossible to find this information using the Skype Desktop Application. Calls marked "Special Services" were responsible for these costs. I wish Skype would be able to clearly mark calls which have expensive rates. I use a subscription with phone calls, but these "special service" calls are not anticipated and unexpectedly used all my Skype Credit. I am asking Skype to make it easy to get your Skype Credit Usage History, using the Skype application.

Account Hacked and Skype Credit used without knowl...

My Skype account got hacked into and my Skype Credit was used to send SMSes to unknown numbers in China. I have changed my password and would like to get back my Skype Credit and the SMSes to the China numbers removed.

First things, first: contact the company that issues your credit card to report fraudulent purchases and to ensure no other fraudulent purchases have been posted to your account. Next, change your account password immediately. Further, ensure your computer system or device operating system software updates are downloaded and installed; update the virus signature files and run your anti-virus software.

Why was my itunes credit used before my 5 song credits?

I have 5 credits currently and $2.84 credit from itunes card at this time. I did have about $4.13 but when I purchased the new single by Evanescence - "What You Want" my itunes credit was used before my actual song credits...What gives?

FYI.. No skype credit use for Subscription purchas...

The other day I bought a full 3000 yen skype voucher and happily added to my credit.. I was shocked that I had no option to buy a Skype subscription in Japan with that credit.. The only way was pay pal and credit card.. What is frustrating is you can use the credit for pay as you go which is exorbitantly priced.. I was shocked as I loved calling via skype 1.5 years back when I was in Japan.. And was a very happy customer.. Needless to say I ll have to spend this credit by calling at huge rates.. Sad I must say..

Why is Skype Credit Going Down with Subscription S...

Why are my Skype credits going down? I have a subscription service for Unlimited calls to Australia? What charges am I acrueing with my calls to Australia and local landline/cell numbers? I started my subscription yesterday with $5.00 in credits. Now I'm at $4.00. What happens when it goes to zero? No more calls to Australia or no more calls to landlines/cells in the States? Thanks.

I am also having this very problem and it seems like someone is using my credit, almost daily or within two days..

I am the primary account holder for my family sharing group. I have over £200 of store credit which is used when I buy something on the App Store. However I have just noticed that purchases made by my family members are being charged to my card when I still have plenty of store credit.
What is the sense in that?

Perhaps I should have been clear that all of the other members of my family are adults with their own full Apple ids and cards.
the only reason I have set up the family sharing thing is so we do not have to buy the same app multiple times.
i would rather not have all purchases billed to my account (as the group organiser) but I can understand why th do that, so that you don't sharewith strangers.
what I can't fathom is why it is necessary to charge my card when I have plenty of store credit. I put the credit on my account precisely for this purpose so I wasn't best pleased to see the charges on my card.
