Skype for Sony Playstation 3 ( PS3 ) and for Sony ...

There is a huge amount of Sony Playstation users who would like to have Skype available for their consoles. The client is already available for PSP and PS Vita. There are ton of thread with this request, but none of them has received a clear answer and that's why I open a new thread. We know that there are a lot of alternatives like smart TV, Blu-ray and other compatible devices, but the request is clear : could you please let us know if there is any plan to implement a client for Sony Playstation (PS3 and/or PS4) or not? If not is it possible to know why?

It's in Sony's best interest to allow it to be available on more platforms, so it moves closer to superceding the DVD, AND they get to make revenue from licensing the standard as a result. In the case of Xbox One, Sony make between $2 and $3 per unit according to a Wedbush Securities estimate.
Skype is a service. And for most users, a free one at that. The revenue from it comes from people paying for the premium services such as inbound numbers, which are very unlikely to be users basing their presence on video game consoles. Given the climate of the next gen releases, it is in Micorsoft best interests to give their console offering a certain exclusive. No matter how small.
In short. Comparing Blu-ray to Skype is rediculous. Just write it off as a shame that business is business.

If you have music that was purchased on different iTunes accounts than the one you use, then you must provide the password, otherwise the tunes are not considered yours. You can turn off iCloud and just use the usual USB sync method. But I wonder whether you'll have the same problem?

I've also gotten error messages saying that the page can't be loaded, even though everything else I use (Skype, etc) is running fine and connected to the internet. Using a single external drive for both Time Machine AND for manual backups?

I'm new to Leopard and haven't launched Time Machine yet. I would like to use a single (500 GB) external hard drive to use with Time Machine, plus I would like to use whatever portion of this external drive Time Machine isn't using to keep some other files upon it as well--things that I can drag-and-drop manually and then trash from my computer's HD (avi files, etc., so that they don't take up space on the computer). Is there anything special I need to do with the external hard drive before I let Time Machine have its way with it, so that I can also do drag-and-drop manual file backups with it?

I’m not terribly knowledgeable, but I’ll tell you what seems to be working for me.
I also have a 500GB external drive which I had planned to use for TM for my MBP. I partitioned it (using Disk Utility) into two partitions. One I created nearly the same size as my MBP drive, the other I used for TM.
I used the smaller partition for a backup using SuperDuper prior to upgrading from Tiger to Leopard. Once I tested that I was able to boot from it and that all my programs seemed to work, I upgraded to Leopard and told it to use the other partition for TM.
It then created a TM icon for the other partition and, to the machine, it looks like a separate drive. I’ve seen no performance hit at all.
Just one man’s experience, though I haven’t yet tried to retrieve anything.

Suggestions greatly appreciated.

I have a solution to this issue now after a discussion with Apple Support. Some where in the last few weeks, there was a change in the key that would do a Show Desktop under the Mission Control settings in the System Preferences. Even though the key sequence that was shown for the Show Desktop setting did not include the Left SHift key, by changing this first to having no key sequence and applying that and then changing it back to the F11 key, the Left SHift key issue that I was having has cleared up.
A second issue that was uncovered was that the SSD had some issues (uncovered when I ran Disk Utility using the Repair Disk key). I had to restart and use the Disk Utility through the Command R sequence to get to the stand alone Disk Utility. The SSD appears to be running better as a result as well.
Hope that this is of use to someone else in the future.

In the delivery you can use userexit USEREXIT_SAVE_DOCUMENT_PREPARE to make your checks and send an error message to the user in case they fail.
You can find this user exit (form routine) in include MV50AFZ1.

Yes, you can. I did the same thing.
Also, by default Time Machine will not back up what you have on that extra partition. You can make it so that it does if needed (Would be a bit overkill if you did).
I actually have 3 partitions.
1 is for Superduper (when it's Leopard compatible).
2 is for Time Machine.
3 is for other storage.

Looking at external HD for Time machine backup and for XP OS?

Bought a 24" iMac desktop with a 500 GB HD and am going to be running up to Best Buy to snag a Western Digital external My Book 750 GB HD. Mainly this external is for Time Machine backup, photos, iTunes library, etc. but I'd like to fire up boot camp and install Windows XP OS. Question is, can I install the XP OS on the external HD so I don't have to divide and possibly mess up my internal Mac HD? Also, when I do install XP OS, how much space for a partition? XP will be mainly for just a few PC games that are PC only like Company of Heroes.

yeah, the more the better...
BootCamp requires the use of XP with SP2. Without SP2 (SP1 or earlier) it either does not install or if installed can produce some odd errors.
If you have access to a Windows XP PC you can try these instructions to slipstream the SP2 together with your 'old' XP CD to a new XP SP2 CD.

Before spending some unneccessary dollars might be worth trying.
It's not very difficult to do this (done it myself some years back).
Also it is a good idea to use your external HD and make a bootable clone of your OSX volume using either SuperDuper or Carbon Copy Cloner.
That way in case something goes wrong, you can easily revert back.
Personally I would not use Time Machine for that task.

Which version of iTunes are you using? (please give me the version number and not the "latest")
What is the iPod software number as listed in the iTunes summary page?
How much free space, do you see on your iPod screen, when you go down main menu and select the settings?
And it should also display on your iTunes summary screen, when you connect the iPod, the free space available.
How much song to you want to sync to you iPod?, normally if it is "Auto Sync", iTunes will delete all the songs in iPod and reload with the library content.
If you have more than enough space in iPod and the sync stop at 10%, then it is another common unresolve problem, with Ipod Classic and iTunes interfacing.

At the same time, SAP customers have a "free" year of Extended Support for Version 9.2.
9.2.0.8 is the latest patch set provided for 9.2. (see note 1021844)
I think that, if you are planning to perform a new installation, it would be better to do it in 10.2

How can I make triple partition for OSX, Windows 8, and for saving Data

I read many articles on googles yet I still can't figure out how to.
The point that I get is when you're installing Windows using bootcamp, before it actually try to install windows, i have to go back to OSX, choose disk utility and create the 3rd partition.
But after I continue the installation, the windows boot camp partition can't be formatted and worse I can't use the drive to install windows 8.
Other I read about deleting the recovery partition in order to make it works?
I don't know .... I tried and I failed many times *sigh*

1. Boot Camp doesn't support Windows 8, so wait until Apple releases new Boot Camp drivers.
2. Boot Camp requires only one volume on the hard drive, so you can't create a volume to store data
