This problem has happened on X6 firmware 31.0.001 and brand new 32.0.002. It has also happened on skype and voipwise voip software. When on a voip call if you receive an email or sms you will lose audio on your call. Needing to hang up and dial again. It is an annoying problem as i use voip alot.

  • Windows XP, SP3: 'Skype has encountered a problem and needs to close...'

I have seen quite a few people have this issue on here, but despite countless forum searches and multiple uninstalls/re-installs, I have not been able to fix my problem. I have not had any issues will Skype on my other computer. But I have recently gotten a WiFi adapter for the Windows XP in my room, and decided to download Skype on here as well. I have tried various downloads from Skype, earlier versions of Skype, and deleting .xml files as well as updating and restarting my computer. My install seems to go smoothly, but once I click on Skype or its shortcut icon, a blank Skype window opens up, quickly followed by an error message like displayed in the title. I have sent a few error reports, but that doesn't really move toward fixing my problem. If someone could help me reach a solution soon, that would be greatly appreciated. Here is some of my computer information below: System:Microsoft Windows XPProfessionalVersion 2002Service Pack 3 Computer:Intel(R)Pentium(R) 4 CPU 2.80 GHz2.79 GHz, 1.25 GB of RAM IE:Version 8.0.6001.18702 Error Info:AppName: skype.exeAppVer: 6.13.0.104ModName: mlang.dll
ModVer: 6.0.2900.5512Offset: 00017ad2 I have attached the extra file that was attached to the error report. Please let me know of any other information you may need to help with my dilemma. I have spent most of my day attempting to fix this problem to no avail, and would really appreciate any help. Thank you.

Problem Statement: Skype working fine. Then two days ago, I opened the skype program and this time it immediateley began an automatic update (nothing unusual,, has been doing this for years) Upon installation of the update (presumably for ver 7.6) I received a dialog box message "Skype update has encountered a problem and has to close"...... you know the drill...send error report to microsoft, etc.I then tried to reopen skype, but no skype window opened, Instead another error dialogue box "Skype has encountered a problem, yada, yada, yada send error report to microsoft"After consulting the support pages, did a COMPLETE uninstall/reinstall of ver 7.6 Evidently the install went fine (or did it ?) Skype is in my program files folder, the desktop icon is in place, but again, when I double click to open skype, the  dialoge error message appears instead,, as before, "Skype has encounteed a problem...send erreor report to microsoft" Of course, using XP, SP 3  1.2 Ghz processor, 512 MB RAM, IE 8.0 which meets min requirements for skype. Considered other posts here suggesting to retro back to a previous version, but with auto-updates, how long will that last ? (can they be disabled ?)To sum up, 7. 6 auto update installation started the problem, and nothing  I've tried seems to solve the problem.  P.S.  I installed a Netgear wireless USB adapter and corresponding driver between the date of the last successful Skype auto update, and the time the current issue occurred. Skype had worked fine with the wireless connection before the 7.6 update. But I wouldn't think there would be a connectivity problem, as Skype simply refuses to open. Or maybe I'm wrong. As of now I am clueless and skypeless.

  • Skype has developed a problem

hello ;o) wonder if anyone can help me, i've been using skype for ages no problems but now when I sign in it won't 'connect' me - so everybody appears offline including myself. I've tried changing my status to 'available' but it won't let me, keeps flicking back to 'offline.'
    Any ideas?

Under Utilities, there is a program there called Keychain Access. It should show you a list of all the passwords saved in your keychain. Find the one you want to delete, select it, and press the delete key.
This program also lets you see the actual password after you authenticate it. A very nice feature if you ever lose the password and need it for something else.
Otherwise, I think you can press cancel when the system asks for you keychain to unlock that specific password, and then it should prompt you for the password directly (make sure Save in Keychain is selected to over-write the old one). This way only works with certain types of passwords and applications, so I don't know if it will work in your case. So the best bet is probably Keychain Access.

  • Nokia C5 VoIP applications (Skype, Fring) not supp...

From what I have seen and read for last two days, there is an error while trying to install Skype or Fring application to Nokia C5 phones. This is probably because of new FW (062 or 071), because it worked with older versions (031). Nokia probably does not support VoIP on series without Wifi anymore. But this is a complete nonsense, these application would have worked good enough using 3G networks.
Does anybody have a workarround for installing Skype or Fring? Please do not advice using download from OVI or Skype.com, hard reset, formating memory card etc., it is really not possible to install anyway. It probably fails during install of prerequisity called VoIPAudioSrv.

Even i m facing the same problem in my nokia c5 symbian device..it's very irritating.fring and nimbuzz uses different versions of Voipaudioserv plugin. additionally m unable to login fring nw no matter hw much time i reinstall it doesn't go beyond the login screen.i'm using fring v4.05(17).if any one has the solution then please let us know.

  • Seen any good SIP/phone App reviews? fring/nimbuzz/acrobits/bria/Skype/tru/

    Best phone App? SIP (fring v nimbuzz v acrobits v Bria v iStarSip/Wifone/F-Route/iPico/NetDial...) v Skype v Tru
I'm trying to use an iPod touch as my main phone, using a MiFi 2200 to provide connectivity wherever.
Anyone seen any good SIP/phone App reviews?
I'm looking for the best SIP app out there. Willing to pay, but want good value. (E.g. Acrobits w/G.729a for $17 one-time is a leading contender.)
I can't find much info on the SIP apps available. I haven't jailbroken my iTouch, but I'd be willing to to get the best SIP app.
Anything with all or most of this:
    Caller ID?
Automatically switch codec based on WiFi network name? (e.g. MiFi vs home network).
Support more than one SIP login at a time. (E.g. one for incoming, one for outgoing?) (Equivalent: route different calls via different VoIP providers.)
Fewer transcoding steps? I think this is why fring voice quality is not great; it transcodes SIP.
Better fidelity? (MUST be demonstrated, and replicable.)
Good at maintaining a connection/restoring one that goes down?
I have fring working with sipgate SIP.
I have Skype working (I haven't tried/paid for skypein or skypeout.)
I have $10 in Gizmo5 credit but Gizmo5 with fring is unusable; it almost never works.
Acrobits Softphone is available from the App Store for $7; additional features are available via in-app purchase including G.729 Annex A audio codec support ($10) and encrypted ZRTP outgoing call support ($25).
Nimbuzz: Can run in background for ringing and while talking. Haven't tried.
    truphone: 2.1c/min? 1000 min/mo is $21/mo; not reasonable.

  • Is there any conflict between FRING & NIMBUZZ ?

    Hi,
If I have Fring and Nimbuzz on the same phone (using one at a time ofcourse...) will there be any conflict ?
    Whats your experiences ?
    Harry

In fact, that's the problem.  Fring, since two-three months ago, uses VoIP AudioServer 2.0, while Nimbuzz still uses 1x.  If you install Fring first, Fring is affected because it expects 2.0 API and you will not hear anything at all.  If you install Nimbuzz first, happens the opposite: it expects 1.x API, but there's a difference: Nimbuzz crashes.  Same behavior happens with Skype native S60 client.  Skype uses version 1.x.  If you install Fring after Skype, Skype no longer works.
Solution: either Nimbuzz and Skype updates to 2.0, or Fring go back to 1.x.  I think the former has more sense.

  • E63 and VOIP problem, pls help

    Hi Guys
I got Nokia e63 and have successfully configured local VOIP number but it works when I use the " mobile internet" or " my service provider internet " as my default access point not my home wireless connection.
When I set my home wireless connection as default access point inside sip settings then I can make calls but cannot receive , I thought my netgear router or firewall causing problem , i configured e71 ( my friend's fone) and it work both ways without any problem.
when i change the access point to other than home wireless , no issues on e63 , incoming and outgoing work like a charm.
any known issues ? please advise bcoz its consumin my mobile internet
    many thanks

I have a similar problem, I have my E63 for five months now, For first 2 months i was able to make voip calls no problem and was very happy.
I was using Mo-Call and Skype. First of all I noticed a degrading of my Mo-Call where I would have to dial several times to get through. then I was unable to connect at all. If I dial a number now I can sometimes hear a dial tone, the phone at the other end rings and picks up. I cant hear them and they cant hear me. annoying thing is that I get billed for the call by my voip service providers.
I soldiered on with skype which has now downgraded to the point that I can only communicate with instant messaging although it still rings me and I can ring out.
I have checked and my nokia software is up to date. needless to say I checked with several known good wi-fi points and no luck. I have had friends check thier smart phones on my wi-fi and all had no problems.
Mo-Call worked hard to try to identify the problem but my account with them works if I try it on other phones.
I find Nokia Customer Care website difficult to work with. I have been directed to thier local agent here in Dublin (Fonemenders)  whos phone leads to an answering machine. a message was left and they do not respond.
    Any help greatly appreciated.

  • N8 VOIP Problem

I had my Broadvoice VOIP service working fine on my N8.
I subsequently updated the phone software to v1.1.  I also installed Skype and a couple of other apps.  The next time I tried to use Broadvoice, registration failed.
I completely removed my Broadvoice profile and Broadvoice (Advanced VOIP) settings, and started again from scratch.  Only once I found that the Broadvoice profile said "registered" but it would not call our (busy signal and a display message saying Broadvoice was not available).
I then noticed that Broadvoice was showing "registered" on another phone that I have, and I could call out on it.  I shut down that phone, thinking that my N8 was not working with Broadvoice because of a conflict with the other phone.  However, I have not seen "Registered" again.  I have made sure that I have an internet connection, that all other apps are shut down, and that AWCDMA and UAWMAC are both "on."
    Any suggestions?

The moral of this tale is this:  double check, triple check, quadruple check to be sure that every profile entry has been made correctly.  A tiny typing error will prevent everything from working.

  • Skype and Other VOIP services not working on my N...

    Hi,
I got a new Nokia Lumia Icon with Verizon Wireless contract. I installed skype and when trying to make International Voice calls, all I see the blue backgroud with Skype call outgoing icon and then nothing happens. Sometimes, the call gets active as in it shows the seconds counter of the call, but nobody can here anything on either side of the call. I do have some credit balance in my Skype account.
I tried re-installing the app but to no avail.
I tried with both Wifi and Mobile data
Also, I installed Nimbuzz- a VOIP service and when tried to make calls, it behaved similar to above.
Previously, I had an Android device and when I tried to make same International mobile calls now in it, I am able to connect and talk without any issues. I also chatted with an Skype support team and they also couldn't help much. They said that I am reporting such type of issue for first time and told that one of their tech specialist will get in touch with me once they have completely assessed the issue. I haven't gt any response though.
Is anyone else facing issues with VOIP apps in Lumia Icon?
Also, are there any fix for these issues?
    Thanks

Thanks for posting your concern, Win_Phone. Do you have a stable internet connection when trying to make a call? Have you tried accessing any website using the phone's browser to verify the stability of the connection? Have you also tried connecting to another available Wi-Fi network to check if there's any difference? About the audio, does it happen as well if there's a headphone connected to your phone? BTW, do you also have an issue when you are not using the Skype app?
We'll wait for your response so we can help you further.

  • What's wrong with Skype and Firefox? In today evening I received a notice about Skype. "Get a way Skype extencion"? Security problem!? !?

    On alert window
Take off extension and start computer.

Mozilla has decided to blocklist the Skype extension because of all the problems it is causing.
    See http://blog.mozilla.com/addons/2011/01/20/blocking-the-skype-toolbar-in-firefox/
<blockquote>The blocklist entry will be a “soft block”, where the extension is disabled and the user is notified of the block and given the option to re-enable it if they choose. It’s also important to note that the Skype application itself will continue to work as it always has; only the Skype Toolbar within Firefox is being disabled.

  • 'Skype has stopped working' problem

    Hi,
For some unknown reason my Skype has started refusing to work.
As soon as load it up it logs me in then briefly shows me my contact list for a few seconds before a pop up appears saying:
    'Skype has stopped working
Windows is checking for a solution to the problem...'
After another few seconds the pop up changes to saying
    'Sype has stopped working
A problem caused the program to stop working correctly. Windows will close the program and notify you if a solution is available.'
I had a look around on google and tried some suggestions but none have worked. I have uninstalled and reinstalled skype about 5 times so far. Twice using previous version of Skype but even they don't work.
    Any help would be appreciated!
    Currently running Windows 7

  • ICal, Skype and Mail with problems

    Hi!
I need some help about a problem related my iCal and others softwares as Skype and Mail which use a customized numeric system (iCal while changing the days or Skype and Mail while receiving any new message in the red splash...).
The problem is the numbers in wrong place...(a little moved up instead to be centered). I tried to change the system fonts, but it doesn't work.
So, please, if someone has same problem and know how to solve, please share it!
    Thanks a lot!
    Kaio

NV... I saw the same question in other post. The problem is about the duplication of font Helvetica Neue.
Just find it and delete the duplicates. All is working good now.
