Skype is completely messed up for me

I am using Skype 7.3.60.101
My windows version seems to be Windows 8 Pro
So, to start off with, whenever my computer opens, Skype will allow me to log in normally. After I log in, I am online but no one else is online, and some people have their Skype usernames switched to their original usernames. Around 3 minutes later, Skype will not respond any more and force me to cancel. This is where the second problem starts.
I will then try to log in again, but Skype tells me that I am already logged in on this computer. I then look at the task manager and see that two instances of skype are open and try to end both of them. The first one (the Skype window that's open) closes fine, but the second one won't close, even in the detailed section (which tells me, "This operation could not be completed. Access is denied.").
I have looked at many different solutions, but none of them worked, and no one seemed to have the same problem(s) as me, but many people had one of my three problems. If anyone has any idea of how to fix this, please give me a suggestion.

OK so today I was just skyping with some friends. I decide to group call them, then I realize I can't hang up, so I'm like, maybe it's just bugged, I'll just end process and relogin. However, when I tried to relogin, the dialogue box stated that I already had skype open. Then I ended all skype processes, logged in again, and for some reason, everything was completely messed up. The friends I was skyping earlier don't appear under my contacts (skype wants me to share contact information), when I send messages, they are pending, I can't change my status, and when I call, they can't pick up and I can't hang up. Ended task again, couldn't log in since apparently I had skype open.
Looking online on the forums, I found this:
Quit Skype or use Windows Task Manager to kill any Skype.exe process. Go to Windows Start and in the Search/Run box type %appdata%, press Enter or click the OK button. The Windows File Explorer will pop up. There locate a folder named “Skype”. Rename this folder to something different, e.g. Skype_old. Restart Skype.
Tried it, I logged in, same process. Can't send messages, friends don't appear as contacts, etc.
Reinstalled skype, same problem.
Reverted back to the un-updated skype, same thing occurs.
Both versions of the Windows 8 skype are messed up (the one in store and the desktop version)
Mobile version works fine.
Help please!!

Completely disable SMS for my Skype online number....

I don't want to pay for SMS messages when people should be emailing me anyway. How can I completely disable SMS for my account so that no one can send me texts? Thanks!

I too would like to disable this "feature" as I don't use it, nor want it.
Just yesterday, my Microsoft keyboard malfunctioned and sent a burst of SMS messages through Skype until it drained my account which contained the default $5.00 credit when I signed up. I don't particularly care about the $5.00, but I'm annoyed that by dumb luck the feature sent these messages to my director (various quantities of 1s) and about 45 of them. The only thing that stopped sending the messages was that my account ran out of money. Good thing that it's not configured for auto-recharge. I have another Skype account with money in it and to prevent a similar occurrence in that account, I'm now going to dump the credit by texting myself. In texting myself because my cell phone has unlimited texting it at least will not cost me more money.
Depending on whether or not he has a text messaging plan on his phone this could create a nice little charge.
We need to have the ability to block SMS messages just as we can with our mobile phones.

My songs are fine on iTunes but completely messed up on my iPod

hey, ive gotta problem. when i listen to my songs on iTunes, not the store, but my library, they are fine. when i listen on my iPod, they are completely messed up! what i mean is that when played on my ipod, the beat (or rest of music besides the lyrics) is louder than normal, and i can barely hear the lyrics. whats going on and how do i fix it?

Please set the EQ setting on you iPod to "flat". It does not help, please restore your iPod to factory settings

Why do I keep getting problems with Apple not recognizing my email password? This suddenly started and just reminds me of the mess that mobileme was. Calendar dev also is not working. What a complete mess!

Can't access my email - endless messages saying password is wrong, which it is not. Mobileme all over again. I now need to forward all Apple mail to GMail, which is how an email system should work. Same is true with the calendar - a complete mess on the integration with my Google calendar.
This is really, really a pain!!

OK this is Cormacin Texas - these idiots have put me through the hoops, effectively locking me out of the support forum. Anyway I've solved the problem - it took 3.5 hours, involved a trip to the Genius bar at the local Apple store, and one and a half hours escalating through the dial-in help support - which was about the only thing the Genius was good for.
What you need to know is:
1. Apple are having problems with their servers, but have not published the fact - we've all wasted a lot of time because these guys want to keep their Customer Sat scores high, I guess. (I'm starting to feel like one of their Chinese factory workers!)
2. This server problem is compounded by the fact that it only affects a few random servers
3. It in turn can lead to problems sending emails which require you to change your Apple Mail password, and in my case surgically remove bad records for various hidden email and library folders. (Good luck with that!)
So, a problem that they hide, a knock-on set of work that the problem indirectly causes, which they also hide, and a support structure that is geared for hardware, not the services that they are now selling.
My suggestion is to change your mail password using the web (icloud.com) access to Mail and see if that works. After that, remove and reset up your Apple email (Preferences) and pray that you don't have to join endless telephone answering lines where some of the folks will cut you off because they can't be arsed.
The two guys that finally helped me were brilliant, knew their stuff and could not have done a better job. The key guy was Danny - if you get him, your golden!

Blutooth disconnect when using Skype, now completely fails to reconnect

I have been experiencing the following problem when accepting or placing a video call through Skype. This never happens when running any other software. My system is an ideaCentre B520 with the stock Bluetooth keyboard and mouse using a Broadcom BCM2070 device running firmware 6.5.1.2700 and a Microsoft Bluetooth Enumerator with firmware 6.1.7601.17889.
The Bluetooth mouse and keyboard disconnect during the call and will not pair or connect wit the computer (IdeaCentre B520). The only solution that I have found work, is to remove both devices from the device manager and reconnect with the physical Bluetooth buttons on the computer and the devices. I also un- and reinstalled Skype, but the problem continues, which might be a software issue.
However, today the computer completely failed to pair and connect with the devices. The pairing dialogue is displayed after pushing the Bluetooth button on the computer. I am prompted to press the corresponding buttons on the mouse and the keyboard and the dialogue completes (code number for keyboard is entered) with the message that the pairing was successful, but drivers may need to be updated. The new drivers are installed for the HDI devices as indicated by the bubble and the grey Bluetooth window light the devices as connected. The Bluetooth box will then go into a repeated flickering between connected and disconnected until both devices are deleted from the device manager terminal. Both devices continue to blink as if searching for the receiver.
I had to switch over to a wired mouse and keyboard to type these lines. But this defies the purpose.
I sincerely appreciate any suggestion you might have to solve this problem and get the devices to talk to one another again.

You use wrong bluetooth software. The only one that should work is 6.4.0.2100. You can download it from Sony website. I know it may sound strange but I have tested them all. Give it a shot and see what happens.

U510 Boot Completely Messed Up

So my u510 was originally installed with Win8, and I wanted to dual boot Ubuntu alongside it, so I shrinked the existing windows volumes slightly in order to make room for the new partition, but in the process of installing I may have royally screwed myself over somehow.
When I boot up the laptop, the Lenovo logo appears for a short while (can't go into BIOS/BootMenu anymore), then the screen just has a blinking "_" at the top left corner and is unresponsive to any sort of input.
In hindsight, I probably should have done this while I wasn't half asleep, as now I don't remember what exactly I was doing anymore. Any idea what I can do to fix this? I'm pretty sure a majority of my data is there, I've just completely messed up one or some of the partitions, as my windows partition was working fine until i restarted and started getting these errors.

View of my device is completely messed up

Ever since I upgraded to iTunes 10, the screen under "devices" that shows what's on my iPhone is completely messed up. The main screen shows headings for "iPhone," "Version" and "Options," but each of those sections is blank. Also, there are no tabs for music, movies, apps, etc. It's all gone. First thought: Have you used the same Apple ID for all the purchases you're talking about? If not, that could cause an issue.
Assuming you've used the same Apple ID all the way through everything you're talking about, here's the second set of questions:
When you say you can't play the songs from the iPhone playlist, can you see the playlist on the iPhone? Is the song visible in the playlist? Is it visible under "Songs" in iTunes on your iPhone? Is it visible in "Albums" on your iPhone? Is the song in iCloud?

When I turn on or restart my Macbook Pro Retina 15", my entire screen flashes completely bright yellow for a few seconds and then it goes to the normal Welcome screen. How do I fix this??

This problem just started today. When I turn on or restart my Macbook Pro Retina 15" (Mid 2012 version), my screen is light gray like normal, and then after a few seconds my entire screen flashes completely bright yellow for a few seconds, and then it goes to the normal Welcome screen (where I choose to login as myself or a guest user). This suddenly started today and has not stopped since. This keeps happening every single time I turn on or restart my computer.
Yesterday I installed all the Mavericks and other updates that were available in the App Store, so I'm wondering if this is related to that since this never happened prior to my doing those updates yesterday. When I first installed the new OS X Mavericks (10.9.3) update, it went through the whole installation process (took about 10 minutes), and then during the installation I got an error message saying that it couldn't verify my iTunes application that was on my laptop, and then my laptop finished installing the updates. Then once my laptop restarted, the App Store "Updates" section said that I had to do the whole OS X Mavericks (10.9.3) and iTunes (Version 11.2) updates all over again. So my laptop did the whole installation again (took about 10 minutes, but this time I didn't get that "iTunes error message" during the installation process).
Now, when I go to the App Store "Updates" section, it says the following under "Updates Installed in the Last 30 days":
-Digital Camera RAW Compatibility Update (Version 5.05) installed May 15, 2014
-OS X Update (Version 10.9.3) installed May 15, 2014
-iTunes (Version 11.2) installed May 15, 2014

I'm wondering if this flashing bright yellow screen upon bootup is related to the fact that my laptop installed the OS X Update and the iTunes Update two times each? Or is this new problem totally unrelated? It's just that this problem started a day after these 2 updates were installed twice.
My Macbook Pro Retina 15" (Mid 2012 version) is otherwise working fine at least as of now. The only issue so far is this flashing bright yellow screen every time I turn on or restart my computer.
If anyone could please help me fix this so that my bootup screen doesn't flash completely bright yellow anymore, I would be forever grateful!

I figured out how to fix the flashing yellow screen problem that I've been having on my MBP! Yessssss!!!
I found this super handy website with the golden answer: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1379
I followed the instructions on this page and here's what I did:
Resetting NVRAM / PRAM
Shut down your Mac.
Locate the following keys on the keyboard: Command (⌘), Option, P, and R. You will need to hold these keys down simultaneously in step 4.
Turn on the computer.
Press and hold the Command-Option-P-R keys before the gray screen appears.
Hold the keys down until the computer restarts and you hear the startup sound for the second time.
Release the keys.
I went through the 6 steps above twice, just to make sure I got rid of whatever stuff was holding up my bootup process. Since I did that, my MBP boots up just like normal. No flashing yellow screen anymore!!

I've just lost my ipad yesterday...i changed my old email with the new one but i'm not complete the registration for the itunes yet...and shortly i lost my ipad...now i'm trying to login to icloud to find my lost ipad but this message appear "your apple id must be used to set up icloud on an iOS or OS X device before you can use icloud.com" my apple id is work but i couldn't sign in to icloud....what should i do for now?

Have seen a couple threads regarding this but unfortunately nothing that solves my problem thus far!
Right now, our developers are using the Domain Admin account to promote their website code using MSI files. I'd like to change this as I feel the Domain Admin account should be on lock down and only used when absolutely necessary, pretty common. The
same goes for my account too, I would like to absolve as much use of the Domain Admin as I can.
Problem is, when they run installers from their own accounts, they receive this error: You do not have sufficient privileges
to complete this installation for all users of the machine. Log on as administrator and then retry this installation
The accounts they are using are part of the Built In Administrators group and the Domain Admins group... I'm not sure what other permission you'd need in a domain? We've gone as far as explicitly giving them local admin access on this server and still
nothing changes.
Is there a Group Policy or something that I can change to provide install rights and possibly remove these accounts as Domain Admin and more along the line of Power User?

The Skype is no more available for Nokia c5-03 touch screen mobile. Please advice me some softwares thru which i can do skype free calls.

For the last one week, when i get the link from skype.com and drill through the link, it said "The mobile phone is not compatible". And i got the s60 symbian version's skype installable from my friend and tried t oinstall and use.
I received a warning message when i tried to install for compatibility check, i neglected and proceeded. I was not able to work with the installed one.
Finally and fortunately, ovi.nokia.com provided the compatibility version of skype which ia m using fine now.
