Skype is rejecting all my incoming calls.

All my incoming video calls are rejecting automatically.Interestingly the voice calls are ringing and connecting properly. When I call back the call is connecting and everything just fine. I am confused why only for incoming video calls are not connecting. I can see the incoming call just for a moment then dropped automatically. Also I can see the dropped calls in my miss call list. I have deactivated my voice mail. Still the problem is not solved.I have tried to log with another skype account and that just works fine with the same computer. So I think the problem is with my account settings,But I cannot figure it out. Thank you in advance for any help or suggestionsSyamya

Hi all,
I had the same problem with Skype 7 on Win 7 Pro 64-bit.
I found this thread with the same information, plus a link to a v6 installer if anyone wants it. Downgrading fixes the problem for me and I can put up with the tired old GUI in return for software that functions properly
The only annoying thing is that Skype asks if i want to upgrade everytime I start Skype/reboot my PC, even though I have turned automatic updates off.
Cheers
Tom

  • I can't get skype to alert me of incoming calls/videos/messages on my apple device

I can't get skype to alert me of incoming calls/videos/messages on my apple device, unless I have the app open in front of me.I have tried to contact different microsoft help desks. I have checked all my settings and have looked at all the help forums available and now am turning to you.Isn't it possible to be notified of incomming calls/videos/messages when my phone is in standby mode? Any help?

I'll assume you have allowed notifications from Skype turned on both in the device settings and in the app settings.
The only other thing I can suggest is checking that the conversations have not been muted by the app (go into the conversation, tap ..., tap notifications and make sure notifications are on) as the iPad version has a nasty habit of doing this without warning.

  • No sound at all for incoming calls, txts, games i tried everything reset, restore , delete content and reset , reset network settings. Alarm sounds work but notification sounds don't work please and mute button is in ring mode

No sound at all for incoming calls, txts, games. I have checked the side mute switch. Volume is all way up. All notifications are on.  I can hear tones when I go to change them. I can hear my music.  I can hear talking on videos I have taken.  I have tried everything I know to do(reset, restore, reset network settings, reset content and other settings and mute button is not ON)Please help!

This is exactly the same problem I am having. I dropped the phone one time I think that was the reason. Now I cant seem to find any solution to fix it and it will cost me $149 to buy a new phone? There has to be a way to fix this problem.
When I put it in speaker phone I can hear but not voices through the phone.

  • All my incoming calls show unknown, even though most a from people in my contact list.  How do I correct this?

Why do all my incoming calls show unknown, even when they are from people in my contact list?

    Hi Hedland,
Thanks for visiting Apple Support Communities.
You may want to first check your caller ID settings, as mentioned in this article:
    iPhone: Understanding phone features
    http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4515
    Caller ID
    iPhone (GSM networks)
Turn on or off in Settings > Phone
    iPhone (CDMA networks)
Contact your carrier for information on using Caller ID
If your settings are correct, try the troubleshooting steps in our iPhone Assistant:

  • Just Updated iPhone 3GS to iOS5, Can't receive any incoming calls at all

Hi, I just updated my phone to iOS5 and now, I'm having these troubles.
    - Can't receive any incoming calls at all
    - The incoming calls directly goes to voice mail greeting
    - No incoming rings & no missed calls alerts
    - Also noticed the incoming text with 4 to 5 hours delays
    - Sometimes 3G network get lost
The reception (status bar) is good level, can make outgoing calls okay and can send text okay.
I did try reset the network setting and it seems working a few hours then went back to troubles (mentioned above).
I've done 3 or 4 times reset but none have been resolved yet.
    Anyone having a same issues?
    I have
    iPhone 3GS with iOS5
    Network with O2 UK
    Thanks,

After reset "All network settings" a several times, it seems working but few hours later it 's been gone back to troubles again.
Is this related to iOS5 or O2?
I've contacted the network carrier several times but no-one yet get back to me.
    Any ideas, please helps.

  • All Incoming calls are 'Unknown'

About 6 days ago all my incoming calls are coming in as 'Unknown'. Also my phone calls to my friends/relatives were showing up as 'blocked' or 'private'.
I was on the phone with at&t and they said all my settings were fine. They put me through to apple support and we did a reset of settings on my phone and that resolved my outgoing calls as showing up as 'Blocked/Private' but STILL all my incoming calls are showing up as 'Unknown'. VERY frustrating. What is weird though all my incoming text messages know the name of the contact...why would this not work for phonecalls. ANY suggestions at all on how to resolve? I really don't want to have to try and reset all my default settings again on my phone, but if another attempt at that is suggested I guess I'll try. Please advise.

I have a similar problem although it's only with some numbers showing up as "Unknown". I went to the local Apple store and a busy Genius said it ws an AT&T problem. So I spent an hour on the phone with an real good AT&T tech. 866-700-2105 gets you right to iPhone tech support. He said it was a iPhone issue. So I made an appointment with a Genius. We put my SIM card in a new phone - same problem. I had a person call, whose number shows up as Unknown on my phone call the Genius'iPhone. Caller ID shows the number. So we think it's my SIM card. Off to the AT&T store for a new SIM card. With a new card - same old problem. The ball is back in AT&T's court. I bet you thought there would be a solution here. Sorry.

  • How to suppress leading '1' for incoming calls

i am in seattle, washington. all my incoming calls have a leading '1', is there a way to suppress this in the phone's settings?
    thanks you!

Most, if not all, of my incoming calls have the leading '1' to them. I even used a friend's mobile to call myself to make sure that is the case.
I thought maybe the region setting has something to do with the number format as this was mentioned in the manual...
    - International
Use the International settings to set the language for iPhone, turn keyboards for different languages on and off, and set the date, time, and telephone number formats for your region.
So I go into General->International->region format
    1. for US - it shows (408)555-1212
    2. for singapore - it shows 4085551221
    then i call myself
    with option 1, i get 1(415)555-1212
    with option 2, i get 14155551212
I just don't understand where the leading '1' comes from

    Johan, open your Phone application.
Swipe down from the top of the bezel to > Settings.
Tap Smart Dialing and set up your correct information in Smart Dialing... national number length, country code, etc.

  • My galaxy s5 is rejecting all incoming calls

when people call me it says the user has blocked all incoming calls, or something like that. i have turned blocking mode off and i turned off call rejection for the call settings. i dont know what else to try

Hello scrpnsub, let's get to the bottom of this together! Can you dial *73 on the device and you will hear a few beeps. Hang up the call after the beeps and then test receiving a call. Are you able to make outbound calls? Keep us posted!

A good read. Have you done anything at all to resolve your problem. Reset? Restore?
