Skype lagging when games are running

I'm not sure exactly when this issue started, but I don't recall it happening until a couple months ago.
When I have a game open, Skype lags really bad. If I try to type a messege, the letters won't appear for 5-10 seconds, and only a few will show up and then it will just lock up for several minutes.
If I try to open one of the pull down menus, it will stop. If I try to move the window, it stops. The call quality remains fine when this is happening, and I don't have a potato for a computer. I actually have a very powerful gaming rig, so it's not a performance issue on my computer's part.
And as soon as I close the game, it starts working just fine. This is really frustrating because 99% of the time I'm using Skype, I'm playing a game with friends.

Screen is Ok, but games are running with less RAM

I bought 2014 january released ipad Air (32GB Cellular model) 2 days back, screen was good but when playing games (like Angry birds, Hey Day) the pictues are running very less RAM (it means, the number of frames running per second is very less, even for offline games also). I returned this unit for service. I dont expect this type of worst Quality Issue from Apple, when seeing this forum it seems Apple will loose their product market very soon.

In fact, it doesn't even get to the point of asking for a password. It just tries and tries and tries to connect until it times-out saying the server is offline, that is false because screen sharing works fine right after. Could it be some sort of keychain conflict with my dad's MBP's password? (The iMac being the family computer, and me and my dad each have a MBP) The passwords and computer names are different though.

Firefox lags when it is running more than 16 hours

I usually do not turn off my pc for weeks. In browser I am running about 20-30 tabs at the same time and I do not want to close it till I decide it is not needed anymore. But in firefox I forced to restart it every 10-12 hours as soon as it starts lagging. No other programs on my pc las. The load of my processor is about 30-40 percent and I have more than 30% of my ram free, so it is not the ardware issues. For example, chrome, at the same time has no lags at all with this kinn of usage. I really like firefox more than chrome and would like to use it, so I would be very grateful for your help!
P.S: There are only 2 addons for ff installed. They are: ABP and FireBug.

Firebug is notorious for causing problems like you described.
Disable it when you don't need it or install it in a 2nd Profile. Then you can launch the 2nd Profile separately to use Firebug and not affect what you are doing in the 1st Profile,

Skype ID when calls are forwarded

Hi,
I have forwarded my skype-number to my mobile phone for when I'm offline. However, I was wondering if it is possible to see that an incoming call was forwarded through skype when I receive. Now I cannot make a distinction between an incoming call directly to my mobile phone number (from someone I do not know) or an incoming call that was forwarded from Skype.

Same issue here, Skype version 7.2.0.103, calling landlines from New Zealand to New Zealand. Exact same issue as described, same issue on two PCs, one running Windows 8.1 the other Windows Vista. We've downgraded the Vista Skype version to 7.0.80.102 and it works perfectly fine again so this is clearly a bug in the latest version of Skype.

J2ee_admin is used as the user when RFCs are run on the web dynpro appln.

I have created a web dynpro application which has some RFCs on the model.
View is an adobe form which send the data to the RFC and upon submit executes the RFC to create an item in SAP (xRPM).
When the RFC is run, user is taken as J2EE_ADMIN even when authentication is enabled on the application and
a different user is used.
Is it due to the adobe form or the web dynpro application?
Is there anyway we can change this default and capture the user logged in accordingly.

I try to run my own example of rules based on xml fact, and i do it from a java program. I would like to be able to see what happens when i execute a certain rule.
Is it possible to switch on some logging or trace ?

IPhone 5S now shutting off display, even when apps are running?

Hi guys,
I've had my iPhone 5S since it released (and a 4S before that since its release), and just today I noticed that my iPhone 5S is automatically shutting off its screen after a handful of minutes when plugged in and charging.
My iPhones have never done this before. I have an alarm clock app, and leave that running 100% of the time when my phone is plugged in since it shows a clock on the display, and I prefer that to a blank, powered-off screen. However, just this morning I noticed that it shut off overnight (never did that before), and now -- even when I'm watching it to see if anything happens, it shuts off.
Something weird did happen this morning though: when my phone alarm woke me up, I noticed my phone was just randomly loading apps, regardless of my input. I shut it off and turned it on again, and then it stopped doing that. This likely has something to do with the new phone display issue.
I can't find a specific setting on the phone or anything that would cause it to do this. Any ideas? I would greatly appreciate it!

Open console in Applications>Utilities, check the system log for the date/time of the last problem & the Wakeup/Startup right after that for clues.

The incompatibility gets determined properly (we receive the message "Carrier 1 is incompatible with FO xxx"
The second (compatible) carrier does not get determined
If the incompatibility is removed from the Carrier Selection Profile, none of the carriers gets determined.

Use a caching implementation that supports expiring objects from the cache (e.g ehcache).
If you set your expires to, say 10 mins, then the objects will get expired every 10 mins meaning they get reloaded at least every 10 mins.

100% CPU usage after games are run

Hi All
Having a Strange problem with iTunes. All works fine unless I play a Steam based game e.g. Counterstrike:source. If I try and launch iTunes after closing a steam game sometimes (but not always) itunes.exe will launch, there is some HD activity, nothing else happens. If I check taskmanager itunes.exe is using 100% of the CPU.
I have tried quitting and closing all possible tasks but iTunes will always launch in the same manner. A log out will not fix it, the only way to get iTunes to work again it restarting the machine.
I have had this problem since the first windows release of itunes. Is it an issue within steam? Is anyone else getting this happen?

Tell the scanning software not to scan the entire iTunes folder. iTunes makes temp XML files every time you play a song. It does this to keep track of times & last date played.

Kde lags when applications are launched [SOLVED]

hi there,
i'm new to archlinux. i've been using gentoo for a while but got tired with all its compilation stuff.
so i tried arch and basically liked it. well, i find this distro reasonably fast (the fastest i ever tried was yoper - i'm eager to test the coming v3), and i like pacman too.
i installed kde and whenever i launch an application, the system lags. i mean, everything freezes for 1 sec or so. this is quite annoying... i switched to archck kernel, but didn't notice any improvement.
DMA's on though i'm not entirely sure it works properly (my system is supposed to support UDMA66, but hdparm only detects my disk to support UDMA33). i don't think it has to do withh disk acces though. to me it sounds more like launching an app is too cpu-intensive - but i'm probably wrong.

Firefox Crashes computer when games are open.

With Firefox 4 and any game open (Age of Conan, Fallout:New Vegas, Rift, Witcher 2) my computer will inevitably crash after about 10 minutes.
Sometimes it's just the video driver + Firefox 4.
Sometimes it's the game + Firefox 4.
But if I keep FF4 closed while playing games, I don't have problems.

Why is my mac internet slow and iphone fast, when both are running through the same router?

I have tried all sorts to fix this. The obvious resetting, rebooting etc of the router. I have spoken to my provider and stuff.
My internet on my iMac is terrible. I turn off wifi and back on and it works for about 20 seconds then stops. Very intermittent and hardly ever fast.
My iPhone however loads pages and apps that use the internet instantly. I am sitting at my computer so i cannot see why there would be a difference!

Move the Base Station If interference is particularly bad in one part of your house or office, move the base station to another location. But this can be tricky if your AirPort base station has to connect to the broadband feed coming into the house and that feed happens to enter at a particularly interference-prone spot.
I have no way of testing some of these Firmware updates, read through them and see if any might apply to your system.

Games are lagging (wine)

Hi ppl,
Last week I was playing EmpireEarth II via wine without any problems but now it's lagging all the time! I can't even move the mouse in the game! The first few minutes are ok but after some short random time the lagging begins (usually after 2-3 mins).
I have another Windows-Game installed: Spore. I wanted to try that one but it also lags. Every two seconds the mouse moves xD
These games worked just fine last week.
The CPU usage ist usual, below 10% when the games are running!
What's happening? Is my CPU dying? Or is it just a misconfigured wine?
