could you guys tell me why skype login UI showing like this. and also its not allowing me to login to skype.
skype was better previous years but i dont know whats happend now.

What you are seeing is due to non-standard settings for the .css class in your Windows Registry. You can resolve this issue with few simple steps:

Linking between Skype login and microsoft login - ...

hi
I've created a skype login, then tried to link to my microsoft account, but cant find any command to do that. In desperation I tried logging out of my sskype account and then loggining back in using my microsoft account, and now I seem to have to totally unrelated accounts.
What have I done wrong? and how do I link ?

I probably shouldn't reply, as I'm only taking a stab at this and it's a guess.
But I recently bought a new Windows 8.1 computer, so I had to quickly become familiar with the whole outlook/skype thing. I think upon first registering with Skype, if you don't do it with your Outlook Adress, then they are now separate accounts that cannot be linked. Like, I decided to make a new Skype account with this computer, and in the beginning had the option of using my Microsoft account to make that Skype account. Had I chose a different email address, then they would not be linked.
You'll probably have to use your outlook address to make a NEW Skype ID if you want them to be linked.

Combining two Skype logins and a messenger logins?...

I have two different Skype logins. One was created a long time ago, and another was created a couple of years ago when Microsoft bought Skype. How do I unite the two and still be reachable through both skype names using the same window?
Also, my live messenger is using yet another login and it keep bugging me to upgrade to Skype, but I already have and still being bugged to download the latest Skype. How do I integrate my Live Messenger login into my "united" Skype presence?
It seems to me that you should be able to add multiple profiles under same username and be able to unite them all.

Skype Login window blank

Okay, so i wanted to talk to my freind on skype on my laptop on skype
and i went to log in, but the window that appears is just blank
i am using a Dell lattitude d620 using Windows XP

If you want to see the regular Skype login screen then the only option is to make Internet Explorer to work. You can try to uninstall the currently installed version and reinstall the IE8 version.

The other option is to make use of the “legacylogin” workaround, which should enable login to Skype using the old legacy login window. However, you will not be able to login using Microsoft account (email address).
Quit Skype. Make sure that you don’t see any Skype.exe processes in Windows Task Manager. If necessary, then stop these processes.
Open this folder on your computer:
C:\Program Files\Skype\Phone\
You should see there the Skype application file (Skype.exe). Right click on the Skype.exe file and select: Send to – Desktop (create shortcut). Right click on the newly created shortcut and select Properties and then the Shortcut tab. In the Target field you will see now:
"C:\Program Files\Skype\Phone\Skype.exe"
Click with your mouse on the text in the Target field and move your curser one space after the last quotation sign and add the text /legacylogin. The text in the Target field should now read:
"C:\Program Files\Skype\Phone\Skype.exe" /legacylogin
Click OK to save the changes. Start Skype using this new shortcut. Try now login to Skype?

Hi, I want to remove a username from the skype login screen on a Samsung Smart TV, but haven't found any way of doing it. I managed to remove a username on a laptop PC by looking up the Skype help but that method doesn't seem to work on the Smart TV - anyone got any suggestions? Thanks

There is a way of doing this, but it involves resetting ALL of the smarthub back it's default state - which would mean that you would have re-install any other apps that you have downloaded.
To do this, go to the SMART HUB menu and press the TOOLS button on the remote. WHen the menu appears, select the SETTINGS option and then RESET. You'll need to enter your PIN (if set) before you can reset the SMART HUB back to its factory default state. When it's completed, Smart Hub will update itself next time you go back to it, and you'll notice that all of the Skype Names are now removed from the sign in screen.

Received dubious email to "restore Skype login"

I received a dubious non-English email (not in my usual user language) from Skype saying that my Skype login will be restored by clicking through a link. I have never requested for this restoration.
It says if the link doesn't work, to manually key in a given chain of 32 characters as password. This "password" is only active for 3 hours. If it's unused after 3 hours, I have to resubmit the restoration request.
Is this for real or someone is attempting to hack my account details?

It sounds like you've tried resetting your password to take care of the account being disabled for security reasons but you do not get he email to reset it. According to the following article you will need to reach out to Apple directly for assistance:
If your Apple ID has been locked
If you can't reset your password and you don't use two-step verification, contact Apple Support.

Skype login history for criminal trial? Need IP Li...

Hello,
I am in a situation where a forged skype message is being used in court as evidence against a close friend of mine. We know the message is fraudulent but we need the skype-ip-login-history in order to prove it.
Is there a legal department or mailing address/instructions for obtaining this information? We have obtained legal counsel to officially request the information, but I can't for the life of me find a way to contact the skype legal/security team to obtain these records.
This is very important- the entire outcome of the case currently rests on whether or not this message was falsified. The login credentials to the account were "saved" on several machines and we believe that using the saved information a 3rd party logged in and sent this message to blow up our entire case. An ip-based login history would prove/disprove this theory.
Can someone point me in the right direction? The Skype "community support" area and FAQs did not offer much help.

you can try sending an email to [email protected], and hope that they can point you to the right direction. however, Skype usually provide possibly sensitive information such as IP address to the proper law enforcement or similar bodies only.

When I try to login to skype it says
sorry , we didnt recognize your sign-in details.Please check your skype-name and password and try again.
I know my username and password is fine I try on my other PC too , tried to uninstall and install again and alot of other ways from youtube and google!

Windows 8 Skype login ?

I had upgraded my Lap with Windows 8 and installed Skype from the store. When I try to login to skype its asks me for the "[email protected]", I donno weather skype had a domain name.. ? So I had logged in with my hotmail account in to skype, but unfortunately I hadn't found any contacts that on my skype, which seems like a new skype id had been created with my hotmail account. Skype login fails on Panasonic - TCP55ST50 TV

I'm not able to sign in using my Panasonic - TCP55ST50 and TY-CC20W Skype Communication Camera. I always get the following error:
"Sorry we can't sign you into Skype at the moment due to a temporary problem. Please try again in a few minutes"

Just ran into the same problem on a new Panasonic I just purchased. Was able to login and
make one call but then was kicked out of the system and now get the same message when
I try to log in. Also Skype does not remember the password. Hope there is solution soon.

Recently I have been banned of Skype a lot. I currently don't know why, but when I creted my new account I signed in on the web browser, and then when I launch the application via PC it will not allow me to login. I tried deleting Shared.xml, but this did not work. I have tried uninstalling it but also does not work. I was wondering if anyone could help me resolve this issue that would be great.

I had same issue today. I used Ctrl+Alt+Del to get to Task manager. And there ended Skype.
After i restarted i was able to loging. hope this helps.

Retaing Skype login details with 5800 XM

Touchpad Skype login issues

Hi!
I am able to add the skype account to my touchpad, but I have the following issues and questions:
- in the messaging app I can not get online with my skype account:
- in some cases I do not get the option to login when tabbing on "offline"
- otherwise I see that the app tries to login, but nothing happens
- I do not know how to set me online in skype so that other skype users see me online and can call me with voice/video
- where can I see which Skype friends are online for a voice/video call?

Similar issue. I've been able to add a Skype account to the TouchPad (32 GB), but have not been able to get it to log into the service to test.
When accessing through the Messaging tab, I attempt to make the account "Available", but the system just cycles through "Signing In" and then switches back to an offline status. No error message - nada.
I swapped out the first Skype account with a second account, and still no success. I've been able to log in through my PC to Skype on both of these accounts to confirm ID/passwords are not a factor.
Any ideas out there?
