Skype Manager - Create User

I've deleted a user on Skype Manager and need to re-create this user. Says Skype name is in use even though the account does not exist any longer.
Skype name is ens-pietfaber-pf001.
Please assist.

I'm sorry to tell you, but when you "deleted" your user name, that name is no longer available for use in any Skype Connect Business Control Panel (BCP). You can "remove" a user from a SIP profile or just pull it out of of a Business account, but whenever you "delete" a user, that name is no longer available to that account. You can create another Skype Account and then use that name again in that account. Or, as I advise other users that have done this same thing, re-name that user "Call_ens-pietfaber-pf001", and then you can use it again. This time your callers can identify it easy by the "Call" designation in front of it. They know to Call!

Cannot use create user as j2ee_admin

Hi, All:
The system is: double stack, ABAP & Java, NW04s SR2 SP12, BI + EP, AIX + Oracle.
After successful installation, we logon the portal as j2ee_admin, when choose User Administartion -> Identity management, error occurs with message: "A required service for the identity management user interface is not available. Contact your system administrator ".
Then we go to http://<hostname>:50100/nwa -> administration -> identity management ->create user, error occurs with message:"Current user has user creation permissions in the UME, but cannot create users in the back-end system (data source). The original and possibly untranslated message was: "java.lang.reflect.UndeclaredThrowableException"
We check the UME settings via configtool and also check the sap_j2ee_admin role assigned to j2ee_admin in ABAP, it seems all correct.
So it's so strange that we can logon as j2ee_admin but can't do the user administration job.
Anyone met the same issue?
Any info will be highly appreciated!

In the case of dual stack installations, the default admin user for the Java Stack is j2ee_admin, which would be created at the installation time itself. By default, one system user SAPJSF will also be created by default for dual stack installations which is used for the communication in between the ABAP stack and JAVA Stack.
This system user will be used for the commucation in between(UME and ABAP datasource).
You can also see two roles named, SAP_BC_JSF_COMMUNICATION and SAP_BC_JSF_COMMUNICATION_RO. Based on the assigned role to the system user, SAPJSF, one admin user on the Java Stack can only view(if the assigned role is SAP_BC_JSF_COMMUNICATION_RO ) the User related data and can view/edit( if the assigned role is SAP_BC_JSF_COMMUNICATION) the User related informations.
Just check, the assigned role to the SAPJSF user. If the assigned role is SAP_BC_JSF_COMMUNICATION you can modify the user informations(create and modify) on the Java Stack using the j2ee_admin user, if the assigned role is SAP_BC_JSF_COMMUNICATION_RO , you will not be able to modify the user related informations through the Java Stack.
If you want to modify the user related informations through Java Stack, then you have to assign the SAP_BC_JSF_COMMUNICATION role to the system user, SAPJSF. After the role assignment you have to restart the server inorder the changes to take effect.
For data consistency and security, it is not recommended to manipulate the user related informations using both su01(ABAP) and UME(java).

OIM 11gR2 - Different "Create User" UI?

Hello,
is it possible to create three different "Create User" interfaces for administrators?
I have three types of administrators in different ogranization, which should see three different types of "create users" interfaces?
For example:
Admin1 can see: First Name, Last Name, Mail, UID, Custom Attribute1
Admin2 can see: First Name, Last Name, Mail, UID, Custom Attribute1, Custom Attribute2
Admin3 can see: First Name, Last Name, Mail, UID, Custom Attribute2, Custom Attribute3, Custom Attribute4
Is that possible? If yes, how?
In R1 i could create different request templates, but how can i do this i R2?

For instance: If clicking on "Create User" i got a dropdown list or select box, which type of user i would create? After selecting the specified create user form will be opened.
Create Admin --> Admin create user form will be opened
Create Manager --> Manager create user form will be opened
Create User --> User create user form will be opened
This functionality was in Sun IDM. Is this possible in R2?

Ejected my self out of my Skype Manager group

hello.
i forgot my skype manager admin user password and requested a new one. in that process by some reason one of the skype members saw a notification that my admin user has left the group. and when i now login to my skype manager account its empthy. my user which was only admin in the group is now effectly alone and all the users are in the group unmanageable.
how can i fix this, and how on earth did this happen. i just requested new password link and followed it....

If the user account is associated with an Apple ID, and you know that account password, the Apple ID can be used to reset your user account password.
Otherwise, boot into Recovery by holding down the key combination command-R at startup. Release the keys when you see a gray screen with a spinning dial.
When the OS X Utilities screen appears, select Utilities ▹ Terminal from the menu bar.
In the Terminal window, type this:
resetpassword
That's one word with no spaces. Then press return. A Reset Password window opens.
Select your boot volume if not already selected.
Select your username from the menu labeled Select the user account if not already selected.
Follow the prompts to reset the password. It's safest to choose a password that includes only the characters a-z, A-Z, and 0-9.
Select  ▹ Restart from the menu bar.
You should now be able to log in with the new password, but you won't be able to unlock the Keychain. If you've forgotten the Keychain password (which is ordinarily the same as your login password), there's no way to recover it. You’ll need to reset your keychain in the preferences of the Keychain Access application.

Skype Manager missing Invite users option?

Hi. I'm working on testing out the skype manager for our business but it won't allow me to invite users? The option is just not there at all. The only thing it allows me to do is create new accounts. Anyone know why this might be?

Nowadays you cannot invite existing Skype users. It used to work, but Skype in their infinite wisdom unilaterally stopped the feature. Now you can only create new accounts.

Switching users between Skype manager accounts?

My project was recently moved from Ireland to NY, and as a result some of our employees set up on a Skype Manager account through our Ireland office have had their credit balance deleted. The administrator for those accounts no longer works with my company. We are thinking about creating a new Skype Manager account through our NY office; would it be possible to switch the existing users on the old account to the new one?

Hello MCarlson. I believe you're asking to take a user off of a Skype Manager account. It's fairly easy, goto the Managaer Account using the users name incharge of it. In the top right corner you want to click Account > Account Details > Delete this Skype Manager. If this is what you were looking for, I hope it helps. But if not, message back and I'll find another solution to your problem.

Error While creating users in managed system.

Dear All,
I am configuring SAP Solution Manager 7.1. I am in stage of Managed System Configuration (for JAVA).
In step 6 Create user: While creating (System) user SM_COLL_<SID> I am getting error :
An error occurred while processing the UME command READ_USER from agent <hostname> : Server returned: 401 Unauthorized. Please check SMD agent application logs.
And for ABAP System,
SMDAGENT_XXX Technical User (in Managed System <SID> Client 000)
while creating user SMDAGENT_<SID> and SAPSUPPORT
I am getting error:
No CENTRAL nor DIALOG instance known for system <SID>
But in SM51 I can see Server Status Active.
and Users are not present.(Checked it through SU01)
I am not getting why this is happening.
Please help me regarding the same.

How to create a duplicate of the Manager ID field in the Create user menu

Hi,
I´m trying to create a duplicate of the Manager ID field in the Create user menu (with a different label). I need to add it a field with the same funtionality of the Manager ID field (search users with filters) but I don´t know how.
I try to made a new adapter using the Thor.API.Operations.tcUserOperationsIntf but it don´t let me to map the input parameters.
Also I try to assing an existent Lookup to a new UDF, but I couldn´t find the correct one.
Did anybody do that??

First I created a a user defined field called USR_UDF_CONDUCTOR (Lookupfield type).
Then I added the following lines to de FormMetaData.xml file:

You could always allocate a number to multiple business accounts in Skype Manager. Then re-direct the number via IP-PBX to go to different extensions.

Blocked user account in Skype Manager

I have a user in my company that is showing a "Blocked Account" when I sign into our Skype Manager. When I click on his username to take me to more information, I get an error message stating: "Service Unavailable. We're having technical problems. We're sorry for the inconvenience. Please try again after a few minutes."
This has been happening for over a week now, and when I submitted an email suport request to Skype, their support (Rodeline C.) sent me here instead of answering my question. Any thoughts on how I can get this user working? Thanks!

cyradm is not part of 10.3.x

Having said that, your issue can be resolved differently. You deleted all mail manually in the file system (not a good idea, but what is done is done). So the mail is actually gone. What you are seing is Cyrus' index. Since you deleted manually the index didn't get updated. To get rid of the problem either reconstruct that users mailbox throgh Server Admin - > Mail or alternatively run:
sudo -u cyrus reconstruct -r user/gordon (assuming that's the user's name)

Creating Users in Content Management SDK Manager

I´ve installed Content Management SDK , now i want to create users trough the manager, when im filling the fields for the user creation, there is a field named (Credential Manger or Gestor de Credenciales in Spanish) but in this field there isnt values to select, so i cant select Ifs as credential manager, anyone knows why??

goto admin applet -> user admin --> Add --->enter deatils of User like name/full name/password/corm password/e mail addrsss(This is for the workflow purpose).Suer local automatically selected either Local/ Global .
Then goto next TAB ROles in which you have select the roles (Admin/Contributor/guest/reviewer/sysmanager) select any one of the roles. if you select the admin you would get the adminstartion tab in the left navigation. So basing on the role you have selected you would get the permission to access content server.
Finish close that window open the new window http://server ip/idc
give the username/password
i think this would solve your problem.

User has disappeared from Skype Manager

Hello,
I received an e-mail over the weekend saying one of the user on Skype Manager removed itself. This is a mistake, the user (argentieres) didn't remove itself, he hasn't even logged into the Skype website. He's the owner of the company.
I need this user back in Skype Manager but I can't add him. I see in the Help pages that if the company has an address in the US, it can't add users with personal accounts. I've been using Skype for years and Skype Manager (at the time Skype for Business or something similar) since 2008.
How can I add argentiers back? I repeat, he never removed himself. I also need to change the country for Skype Manager, which should now be Ecuador, the company moved but I never changed this.
