Skype Manager Difficult to FIND?

I hadn't used Skype Manager for a while, and went to www.Skype.com to access it.  Logged in as myself, and I am set as a full administrator for our business account.
Why isn't there an obvious, prominent link after I login, to go to the Skype Manager web app???
Annoyingly the only appropriate sounding link, "Skype Manager" in the "Account Details" list, only lets me edit a few obvious settings about my personal account's visibility in Skype Manager - it takes me into a "Skype Manager settings" area which looks sort of like Skype Manager (but isn't).
Looks like there is no link from my account to the real Skype Manager web app, and I need to just know the URL "manager.skype.com".
Would be easy to make this much easier to use...

Thanks for your feedback and i have to admit that I fully agree there's a shortcoming of the new Skype web account page. I've shared your suggestion with the product team to consider adding this link in a future upgrade to the web account page.

  • Can't seem to find my skype manager account

Help!I haven't been on my skype manager  account in a few months - and now I don't see it at all? how can I access it?please help!thanks,Mary

You answered my first question indirectly.  You presumably are using Time Machine to bacup your Mac to the Time Capsule.  Feel free to confirm that explicitly.
You ignored my second question: "What are the exact steps you're doing to try to find them?"
iMovie projects are normally kept in the "Movies" folder at the top level of your user account.  Unless you specifically excluded that folder, it should have been backed up by Time Machine.

  • Got skype #, can't get into skype manager to set c...

logged in to skype manager, but it requires a company name etc.?? this is just personal stuff.  any way to get around this other than to 'fake' info?

    Hi, mk1992,
Please access your account dashboard starting by clicking on the link that appears at the upper right corner of the main Skype website page -  http://www.skype.com/en/  - where you will see a Sign In "button."  If you are on the Skype Support website page, the link at the upper right corner of that page reads Sign In.
It appears you may have misunderstood that the place to sign on to your account information is via the Skype website.  You are correct; there is no need to set up or to use a Skype Manager configuration for a personal use account, so therefore this would not the appropriate place to access your account information and would look confusing; please do not input terms if you have no intention to set up a Skype Manager configuration for a business.
    Regards,
    Elaine

Skype = Big Brother.  Ask the Chinese that have gone to prison from using Skype thinking it was safe.  There are hundreds of Falun Gong members that are in Chinese gulags because of you.  So awesome.

  • Skype blocks Account after sign into Skype Manager

After years of using skype without a problem and being happy with it, following happened:
    1) my account "kpaessler" was blocked a few hours after I signed into Skype manager. Both the skype account and the Manager was blocked. The answer to my inquiry was that Skype suspects incorrect use of the account.
So far no refund on credits (about 60EUR) and dial in number.
    2) To get things going, I used another Skype account of mine "nuessering"  to sign into Manager again. Could purchase a 3 months dial in number. Some hours later the Manager was blocked. The Skype account seems to work for skype to skype but Skype blocked the possibility to purchase a Skype in number or to by credit.
The purchase of the dial in number of the second account was refunded.
Both accounts are connected with same e-mail adress of mine.
What is going on? Has Manager a big problem?
My "kpaessler" acount has all my adresses and the dial and most important the call forwarding. This is very important to me.
How to get my this account back to be unblocked?
    Thank you for any help.

  • Skype manager - Enter VAT number

    Hi,
I am unable to enter the VAT detail of my company in skype manager. As mentioned in the FAQ, I would like to use skype for business purposes and be excempt from the VAT. The process to change the VAT number is detailed in this PDF (page 57), however I am unable to find that in my Skype manager.
    Thanks for the help,
    Anil

  • Can I assign subscriptions with Skype Manager?

My company wants to implement Skype for cost reducing, but there is an important issue I couldn't find the answer for: can I assign subscriptions with Skype Manager? For example, I buy a 400-minutes subscription and assign this subscription for an user?
If that is the case, can I take the subscription back from the user and give to someone else, or must I cancel it and buy a new one? And also, if an user is going to make 800 minutes in phone calls, in a land where there isn't a unlimited package, can I buy and assign him two 400 minutes subscriptions, or in fact as many subscriptions as I would like?
The best solution for me would be to have subscriptions that I can assign to users when they need it, and if in a month they are going to use less minutes, I can take that subscription and give it to another user.
Alternatively, I could have an account that many users would use, but at the same time and they would make calls at the same moment, and I don't know if Skype allows us to do this, both in computational terms as also in legal terms.
Does anyone knows the answers to my questions or could give me a suggestion?
    Thank you for you time

Assigning subscriptions with S.M. is very easy but unfortunately some countries are missing on the list. For example I need to assign a subscription for one of my users registered in SM, which allow make calls to cell phones to Ukraine at lower rates. It's not possible because there is no Ukraine on the drop down list. Could someone explain me why?

  • Skype Manager pricing

Where can I find information about Skype Manager pricing? The end trial period is in 3 weeks and I cannot find some information.

So, the latest news - no plans to charge for Skype Manager usage. At least in foreseeable future.
    Rejoice! :smileyhappy:
PS. In case anyone notices any references for paid SM - please post here. I will ask to remove such references

  • Skype Manager Europe

    Hi,
I am looking to use Skype Manager for my business and have come across some problems:
    1. When creating a manager account i am not given the option to change the country. Does this mean that it can only be done for U.S. people? If it does we can stop right away since we are based in Switzerland.
    2. Can one use subscriptions in Skype manager? I currently use the skype world subscription and want to do the same for my employees (hence why i am thinking of using Skype manager).
    Thank you

I agree with your distaste for Skype Help.  Although it is difficult to be aggravated with something that actually does not exist. Ii is obvious you have tried to use it and found as I'm certain most everyone else has, that  Skype help is absolutely a total waste of time.  It never addresses the question asked.  Just provides a list of BS to fill the void.  There mustbe a better service to use than this crappy one.

  • Skype Manager or Premium - Not Sure

    Hello,
I just purchased the Skype Premium and I did not receive a phone number.  Was I supposed to?
I have an assistant in the Philippines to make phone calls for me to the US. Should I use the Skype Manager for business instead of the Skype Premium?
    Thank You!

    Hello jn_48.
Get an Online Number. Save up to 50% on your Online Number with a subscription.
    1. Purchase confirmation. Once you've bought a subscription you'll receive a confirmation email and a notification in the Home area of your Skype
    2. Dial a number. Click the Call phones button to open the Skype dial pad and enter the number you want to call or choose a number from your contact list.
    3. Enjoy your call. Your calling minutes will decrease as you use them (except unlimited plans 2). If you use all your minutes, or you want to call a destination not covered by your subscription, you'll need to buy either another subscription or use Skype Credit to make pay-per-minute calls.
Here are the links to the two pages that speak about Online Numbers and Subscriptions
    http://www.skype.com/intl/en/features/allfeatures/online-number/

Hope this helps. If you have anyother questions, just post them up here and I'll try to find the answers for you.

  • What can I track with Skype Manager

I am trying to see if it is possible to track Skype to Skype usage with Skype Manager.
It seems like the only report I can run is purchased Skype Credits.
We don't plan on using Credits so what reports are available to me?
    Thanks

  • Cannot Log In to Skype Manager

Why is my account blocked and why isn't there at least a chat support available to get this resolved quickly? My company uses Skype Manager to run our IP phones and now our entire office is down and nothing we can do about it.
When I goto manager.skype.com this is what I get:
Your user is blocked. Please turn to customer support.
None of the IP phones in our office work because they use Skype's SIP trunks and I can't even log into the account to check the settings.
I find it hard to believe that this is all the support that's available for a business account. The frustration from this incident alone is enough for us to switch services to something more RELIABLE FOR BUSINESS.
I expect that things just happen from time to time...no biggie. But when they do and it's not our fault, then Skype needs to step up and do something about it.

  • Disable directory lookup using skype manager

Is there a way to disable Skype directory search using Skype Manager?
    Thank you!

According to the Administrator Guide, there is a way to restrict importing of contacts; you can research further here:
    https://support.skype.com/resources/sites/SKYPE/content/live/DOCUMENTS/0/DO5/en_US/skype-it-administ...
I do not know of a way in Skype Manager to block a user affiliated with a Skype Manager profile from searching the Skype directory for other Skype users.
Here's a link to the Skype Manager User Guide so it's handy:
