Skype messages not sending

I'm not having ANY luck reinstalling or signing back out.
My messages won't send from my phone, even though I have great WiFI that's working, and I see recieved messages on the lock screen, but when I check to see them on Skype, they're gone.
Thinking about getting a new app since this one won't work right.

I'm really getting pissed off at this point. 3 hours waiting on Skype, this morning I woke up to find 0 messages received from all contacts and all my group chats were empty(they'd normally have around 500+ messages by now)  I turn off the wifi, forget the network then put in the pass code and get connected again, skype is still giving me bs. So I uninstall it then reinstall, takes like a whole **bleep** hour to load up my contacts and it let's me talk to ONE FRIEND for a split god **bleep** minute. Yet it didn't load up any group chats, when I check the history it's a log from 3 months ago when I called my girlfriend. The group chat isn't even there and it's been 3 hours on waiting for it, plus 95% of my contacts are on offline(even the ones that ever go on offline mode) How do I fix this, I'm on an iPad 1 and have recently gone on vacation to Bangladesh(still am here)

  • Text messages not sending

    Hey,
A few weeks ago i bought some skype credit to text my girlfriend in Peru, from the UK (england). For the first week or so it worked fine, she would recieve the message very quickly, and the price was very reasonable. No problems.
But, suddenly it changed: i will send a message to the same number, which is correct, and the message will attempt to send, but it will fail, with the advice to check number coming up. I am at a loss; the number is correct, we used it for a week with no problems, she is recieveing texts from people (granted, in Peru) ok, and i can call her using my home phone. What is going on?
Possibly a related problem is that my mobile cannot text her either using normal credit. Anyone got any ideas?

I'm so sorry but in cases such as this, there is nothing we can do as the problem is not on our end. Please note that the SMS travels from us to the phone's provider and finally to the phone itself. If the providers reports to us that the SMS was sent, then the status of the SMS in Skype is delivered.

    Hi Team,
    MSN - 0429394904
I don't believe there is anything that we can do for this particular issue, customer is more looking for clarification to take back to Skype. But he is unable to receive Skype SMS messages, can receive standard SMS without any issue.
Skype has claimed that they are receiving the delivery confirmation message that the message has been received but nothing is being received to the mobile. I have confirmed with customer that other people that have been sent a Skype SMS are unable to receive the messages also, so is likely an issue with the Skype service.
Would you have any further feedback?
Example SMS - Sent via Skype on Monday 6pm.

    Good morning Matthew,
We have added SMS and also GPRS/Data on the customer's service. Skype has nothing to do with us and we in no way support SMS travelling over a third party platform.
***If the customer is not receiving the messages, he will need to follow up further with Skype.***
    Thankyou

  • BB Torch 9800 - MSN messages not sending

    Hi,
Does anyone know why my MSN messages are not sending? I'm with Rogers, and have full 3G coverages. I can receive messages, but not send. The other person does not see my message. I've tried redownloading and restarting my BB. It doesn't work.
    Thank you!

    Hey KenmanH,
    Welcome to the forums.
Does this happen with all messages you try to send to all contacts? Are you using Windows Live Messenger or are you using another application to send these messages? Do you get any kind of error message?
You can try changing your password and then log out and back in to see if that works.
Let us know how you make out.

  • Skype messages not showing up equally on phone and...

I have Skype on my iPhone and Mac computer. Lately though, not all of the Skype messages I receive have not been showing up on my computer or phone--I know because usually I'll be able to read a message on one device if I'm chatting with someone on it, but then the message won't show up on the other device ever. This also makes me wonder if I'm missing any messages entirely when I'm not using either device.
Has anyone else had this problem of disconnect/missing messages?

I am having the same problem, only now it's extended to my messages on my Mac saying "pending" for extended periods of time, even with a perfectly stable internet connection.

    Welcome to the Community
Please restart the phone by removing and placing the battery back while the device is ON. This process fixes the application modules in it without losing any data stored. Let us know if you still experience the issue after this.

  • Skype will not send Messages in Windows 10.

Skype no longer seems to send messages after getting a blank error message. The message will enter the chat, however, it will endlessly load until deleted. I'm running the most recent version of Skype for Windows 10 on my desktop. It may be as simple as rebooting my PC, however, trying that, the messages will only send for a few minutes after reboot, before endlessly looping. I am definitely connected to the internet, and I can still make calls. This sis with regular, non SMS messages with a non-premium account.

you have both the answers ! The problem is your outgoing settings in your mail account Contact your carrier for the right settings of the outgoing, or google

  • Group Messages not sending or receiving

Since the beginning of this week, I've started to have an issue with Skype, in a group chat only. I send a message, and the small spinning circle appears at the side, and continues indefinitely. However, when I send individual messages I can send the message through to them one to one. Just never in the group chat, I've searched through the site here and found suggestions. I uploaded and revised to the most recent version of Skype 6.20.0.104 and still have the same issue. Any help will be appreciated, Thank you.

Having somebody add me to a new group that they created didn't work (I never saw messages from the group, or even that the group was created).  And creating a totally new account is unacceptable on many levels, not the least of which is that I regularly communicate with 100s of contacts
I'm also on a Mac (google search led me to this thread and resolution) so it's really likely to be some sort of issue with the Skype protocols rather than an OS platform problem.

  • Messages not sending from phone

how can this be fixed my bf lives in spain and me in holland the only why i could talk to him was skype but he could send me messages but when i wanted too read it just dissepear, so i tried to talk back to him but it keep saying that it's still waiting to send but it's been now 4 days, and when i had tried others to message me it worked but takes a very long time to arrive but when i do it takes long to get it.so why is my bf from spain just can't connect. help me i'm looking for answers it's frustrating me

    HI,
    I had this issue once.
On checking thre iPhone settings the Apple ID had become Unchecked and th iPhone Number was not ticked at all.
    I removed the Apple ID
Placed the iPhone in Airplane mode to break with the server.
On taking the iPhone out of Airplane mode I checked the iPhone Number was listed for iMessages and then re-added the Apple ID
As I did not get the pop on the Mac version as soon as I thought I should I restarted the Mac Messages app.
It then got the pop Up saying the iPhone was using the iPhone Number and Apple ID.
(I probably did not wait long enough but I would do this if the pop has not appeared in five minutes).

  • Messages not sending / Receiving

    Hello,
We use skype internally for sales staff to contact customers, we do have a lync platform however we find alot of our customer use skype only address that currently do not work with Lync, so in some areas we have to use this system.
Over the past 2 weeks, each users one by one have started to contact me in regards to unable to send or recieve messages, in some cases the messages do come through hours later.
We have ensured latest versions are being used, even tested with the windows desktop app and the windows 8.1 app with users seeing the issue which appears to carry over.
Ive looked online and can see other users reporting simialr problems over the past year however none of the fixes resolve the issue for us. We have re installed, changed versions etc however hte number of users reporting the issue continues to increase.
We have around 40 users running skype, at present 15 of these are seeing issues? We have checked our network and cannot locate any issues at all.
Can someone please clarifiy if this is a known issue as I can not find any offical answer, what ports we may need to look at etc? I dont want to tell my VP its skypes issue when it could be ours but i cannot find any fault ourside.
    Thanks
    Andy

Yea, we have noticed signing in an out does seem to purdge messages and push them through. We are mainly windows 8.1 running a range of versions and presensoft along side (for monitoring) however we have tested in alot of different scenarios and the only common factor is skype... all be it different versions, with or without presensoft.
We do run proxys and firewalls however all data is passing fine with nothing being restricted.... Really just need an answer if this is a known issue without a resolution as we are loosing sales / customers as a result so certain eyes are all on us to "fix" however we cannot find an issue.

  • Video Message not Sending

I sent my friend a video message, and for the past 24 hours it has been stuck at 99% and simply wont send.  There has been no error message.  I tried restarting Skype and restarting my computer.  Now, the icon has even turned black and I'm starting to think it isn't even on the Skype server or anything... Also, is there any way for me to view the video while it's sending?

Ok so I found a way to send the video message.
For Windows users, follor this guy's tutorial.
    http://www.petri.com/save-skype-video-messages.htm
For Mac users, the porcces is similar but finding the files can be a bit more difficult if you dont know exactly what to look for.
    Start by downloading http://sourceforge.net/projects/sqlitebrowser/files/sqlitebrowser/3.4/sqlitebrowser-3.4.0.dmg/downlo...
We will use this program to open main.db which is located here: /Library/Application Support/Skype/*your skype username*/main.db
Open sqlitebrowser and drag the main.db file into it.  This file contains all of your chat history.
Next click the "Browse Data" tab at the top.  Select the "Table" dropdown menue and click on "VideoMessages". This will essentially give you a spreadsheet of all of the information for every video messege you have ever sent or recieved.
Scroll to the right and find the "author" collumn. Use this and the "creation_timestamp" column to help locate the video message you were trying to send.
Once found, you can see, in two other columns, the "local_path" and/or the "vod_path".
Since we are trying to resend a video message you created, we are going to use the local path.  Double click on this.  A window should appear with the path highlighted.  However, we need to deselect the actualy .MOV file name. do this, then press Command-C.
Go to "Finder", "Go", and then "Go to Folder" and past the path into the text box.  Press enter and the folder in which your video message is stored will appear.  Reference the sqlightbrowser to find the exact name of you video message, and then copy your .MOV file to a more convenient location.  You can then go back to skype and send the video message as a normal attatch ment.
Voila! You just resent your video message.
    Regards,

  • HT3529 iPhone 4s, picture and video messages not sending, how can I fix this?

Is there anything I can check in my settings to fix this? Or is this a carrier issue and should I contact my provider?

Is MMS turned on in settings? Settings>Messages>SMS/MMS>MMS Messaging>On. Can you send/receive SMS's? If you answer both questions with a yes, the problem rests with your carrier. Either MMS is not provisioned on your account, or not provisioned properly. So, contact your carrier.

  • Messages not sending in Outlook

Hi I hope someone can help, I have a talk21.com account that I use via Outlook 2010. I now cannot send messages from this account and is returning error 421 too many messages. I have tried to set up a new account but that does exactly the same.
Does anyone know what I need to do?
To make things worse I also have a .btopenworld account that is doing the same and giving the same error code, add to that I have forgotten the password but when I try to request a new it takes me to a page that is not for resetting passwords. grrr
I know this problem is all about the BT migration and I have read other posts where this has finally been resolved so I would really appreciate a response as it now means I 2 accounts neither of which can send.
    Solved!
    Go to Solution.

For the past two days, I have started to have problems sending emails using Outlook.
It works perfectly well from home, when connected to my BT Router.
If I am connected via any other route, it fails with the message 421 Too many messages 99% of the time.
It would appear, therefore, that this is a problem with BT SMTP Server authentication, since your home connection does not require it/use it but any other incoming route to the BT servers will.
I spent 2 hours on Chat support with BT yesterday without any success. Eventually, I was told to upgrade my Outlook to the latest version........ or remove and re-install it.......
Even though I know perfectly well that this is not the problem, I did actually upgrade to Outlook 2013 from 2010. of course, it made no difference.
When I contacted BT Chat again today, I was told that BT do not provide support for email clients (including Outlook) and that I should take my PC to a local PC technician for support.........
Having worked in I.T. all my life, that is not necessary, as I pointed out. BT then told me that I could not escalate the matter and nor could they provide me with any support for the issue, despite it being pretty clear that the problem lies at their end, because I was not using Web Mail.......
What kind of service is that I ask myself?
As this forum/thread appears to be being listened to by BT, I am writing this post in the hope that I don't simply need to change ISP in order to get support for this or to resolve my issue.
    Here's hoping!
    Ross
