Hi,
Can someone please help me? I'm trying to login using my usual login name but it says "Your skype name and password were not recignized". I used it few of days ago and it was fine until last Sunday (04-Dec). I've already contacted support team 2 days ago but they don't seem to care too much!
Can someone explain me what is going on?

In Internet Explorer go to Help -> About Internet Explorer.
P.S. Please, don’t say that you are not using Internet Explorer. This is irrelevant. Skype depends on Internet Explorer.

TS1702 I have the Ipod Touch and installed Skype. I have an account with Skype but when I try to connect my Ipod, I receive a message saying " We didn't recognize your Skype Name and password" I connect to Skype through my Facebook account.

Each Skype name is a different account, so anything purchased by that account can be used only for or on that account. In other words, purchases are tied to a specific Skype account, not to an e-mail address.

Skype name and password field stays blank

I can't click on or type in the Skype name or password field. It just says like this: http://prntscr.com/80dv5c . I have 64-bit Windows 7.

please help me SKYPE has become a pain in my arse. uninstalled and re installed it atleast 10times.
got IE 11 latest version Java is alright . VISTA 64 BIT is the operating system but its not letting me enter my id/password. watever i do it doesnt allows to type anything ..... please help me in it i have tried all the tips you have shared here.
SKYPE must have and online helpline to give us technical feedback..... kindly get back to me ASAP.

After a seemingly endless trek around the SKYPE website (why is therev no telephone number to speak to an actual person!?!), I finally found a link to re-installation (without needing to unistall the original). Now I am back in action

Go to Settings>icloud, scroll to bottom of screen and tap Delete Account. Then log in using a different ID.

HELP! my mac has logged me out and now asking for a name and password?

I was logged on shopping on top-shop online and suddenly the mac shut down.

First, make sure caps lock is not on.
Another reason why your password might not be recognized is that the keyboard layout (input source) has been switched without your realizing it. At the login screen, you can cycle through the available layouts by pressing the key combination command-space or command-option-space. See this support article.
If the user account is associated with an Apple ID, and you know the Apple ID password, then maybe the Apple ID can be used to reset your user account password.
Otherwise*, start up in Recovery mode. When the OS X Utilities screen appears, select

I created an account for my father in law a long time ago, so that hencould talk to his grandchildren. This worked fine, until he got a new computer, and we should log in again. The password is not what we thought it would be, and we don't remember which mail it is registered on - but suspect this mail is no longer in use (new ISP - new mail). All we know is the skype name, and we don't have a way to recover the password. Is it possible to solve this in a good manner? Btw. The skype name is firstname.lastname, and he is the only one in the world (definitely) to have this name. Should not be much chance of misuse of the name... Any ideas?

if you don't have a purchase history, it is not possible to request for a new password for that account. However, if it will remain inactive for at least 6 months I think, it will be tagged as inactive and will be removed from search results.

Lost user name and password for my second account

I have had a personal Skype account for years. I recently created another account to explore teaching thru Skype ( it is suppossed to be my business account. I am a Math tutor). The problem is what I don't know what I did with my new account user name and password. The user name must be something like "professorserna" and the password I don't have any idea. In my bank business account I see the two charges:

Might you recall the e-mail address you used as the new account's registered e-mail address? If you do, as if you were searching for a new contact, search using said e-mail address - the new account name should appear in the search results. Then, you could apply for a new password, the token which will be e-mailed to the registered e-mail address for the new account.

In order to file with Skype Customer Service to inquire what the nature is of the two charges, we first have to secure access to your new account!
