Skype not ringing

Skype on my miix 2 works fine when i'm on the miix and doing something. If i walk away and the mix goes to standby or i put it in standby it does not wake and ring when i'm getting a call.
Is there any wat to set it to 'wake' ir force it to ring on sn incoming call?

I have whatever the newest version of Skype is on my iPhone 6. I also have a stone-age original Mac laptop with an earlier version.
Recently, (I'm guessing since the update) my iPhone hasn't been getting notified of any activity- period. Even when the app is open the messages come in silently.
YES, I have turned on my notifications through my phone. Settings>skype>(Sounds, badges, banners)
YES, I have turned on push notifications through Skype settings itself.
YES, I have logged out and logged back in.
YES, I have uninstalled the app and reinstalled it.
YES, I have checked my "do not disturb"
YES, my iPhone is on loud and volume up.
My STONEAGE laptop still rings, still beeps for messages... So recently I've settled for falling asleep next to my computer so If he calls I can at least be alerted.
My fiancé is in the UK, I'm in Florida, we have 5 more months left to go. I'm going to be extremely irritated if we have to deal with this for that long.

I am having the same issue here. In fact none of my calls come through on my iphone 6 and I am just left with the missed call or voicemail message that has been left. I really need to find a solution to this as the majority of my work is incoming from the US. If anyone has any suggestions, please let us know. We need more information. Do you have a subscription that covers mobiles such as a US subscription? If not you will need skype credit to forward to your mobile. Have you set your privacy settings to allow anyone to call. Like this.
First check that your privacy settings are set to ''Allow calls from anyone''.
Then change them to "Allow SkypeIn calls from Only people from my Contacts List".
Save and wait for 5 minutes.
Log out from your Skype account and log back in.
Change settings back to "Allow calls from Anyone".
Save and wait for 5 minutes.
Log out from your Skype account and log back in.
I hope this sloves the problem.

Skype does not ring with iphone 4 ios5

I recently upgraded my iphone 4 to ios5, but apparently whenever i receive a skype call, it does not ring anymore.

Sorry, I don't use Skype. You might try a couple of standard troubleshooting steps, though. First, try resetting the phone by pressing the Home and power buttons until the silve apple appears. If that doesn't solve the problem, try uninstalling and reinstalling the app. You may also want to contact Skype's support to see if they have any suggestions.

incoming skype calls are not ringing on my iphone. It used to work but now doesn't. I can't find anywhere in the settings to fix this.

Ever since iOS5 the ringer and display does not work. No notifications.
I live in a gated community and the gate is assigned to my Skype number. I also have clients who call me and they aren't getting through.
If I have to purchase a land line, I will sue in small claims for the cost of the service and loss of service.
Do not waste anyone's time with cookie-cutter answers.
My Skype isn't ringing nor shows up on the screen ever since iOS5. You should have been working on this with the developer packs.
I've deleted and reinstalled 3x. It is running. Volume is correct.
This is outrageous as I pay for Skype and am thinking of canceling and demanding a full refund.
You are pushing things towards class litigation here in the US. There is no excuse.
Microsoft now owns Skype. They are a US corporation and are liable.

My Online number does not ring

I keep getting told by people that they are ringing my number and it just rings out.
I dont get a notification on my pc or a missed call logged.
This does not happen all the time, but frankly once is more than enough.
I would like to contact Skype directly about this, but can't see how - has anyone else had this problem?
Is there something I can do/check to see if its my end?

I have had a Skype online telephone number for over two years. However, within the last two months, I have been having a similar problem as SteveCl, as when someone calls my Skype telephone number my Skype does not ring intermittently.
In addition, I use Google Voice, which allows someone to call my Google Voice telephone number, which will then automatically ring all of the telephones that I have associated with this service. For example, if someone calls my Google Voice number, my landline, cell phone, MagicJack, and Skype telephone lines (should) ring. My landline, cell phone, and MagicJack all ring consistently when someone calls my Google Voice telephone number. However, Skype rings intermittently, at least in the last two months.
Until recently, my Skype online number rang consistently when someone called it. This problem has only manifested itself within the last two months. Making the problem even more puzzling is that sometimes my Skype online number will ring through while other times it will not. For example, on March 24, 2012, it worked; however, on March 25, it does not work. Sometimes Skype will not ring through at 3 p.m. but will ring through at 3:30 p.m.; as I said, this is very intermittent. I have the most recent version of the Skype software installed. Skype is configured to allow calls to my Skype number from anyone. I have not changed this setting.
I can use Skype to call out to telephone numbers or other Skype users without a problem. In addition, I have not noticed any problems when Skype users call me; Skype on my ends rings through in this case. Skype-to-telephone and Skype-to-Skype calls are usually good quality, so my Internet connection should not be influencing this issue.
I would also like to contact Skype directly about this issue. If anyone knows how, please let me know.

Online Number not ringing (And not able to reset p...

I got reports from several persons who called my online number that it is not ringing, it goes direct to Voice Mail, i checked the requirements to have it working, Have the latest version of Skype (DONE), Be online in the computer (DONE), and if still not ringing, reset the privacy settings, this is where i got stucked. In the support forum i found that the way to reset your privacy settings is to change the setting in TOOLS-->Privacy under "Allow calls to my skype number(s) from..." to "Phone numbers in my contact list only", wait 5 or more minutes, and then switch it back to "anyone". My problem is that no matter how many times I change it to Phone numbers in my contact list only", and no matter how long i wait, when i come back to TOOLS-->Privacy, it is always in "anyone" so i guess there is something wrong with that setup option. Anyone with the same issue and solution? please help ! I'm trying to run a business using this number but all my customers are going straight to the voice mail !

As stated in the subject box. Incoming calls do not ring. Also the text box indicating incoming calls does not show up on the screen either. The only way I know a call has come in is when it goes to voice mail.

Skype never rings on Android phone

I tend to keep Skype signed in on my computer and phone. The problem is that incoming calls only ever ring on my computer. Even when the computer is off and my phone is the only device signed in, Skype never rings on the phone. It just gives me a notification afterwards about a missed call.
I've seen a lot of similar posts, but haven't come across one with a solution. Is there a way to force Skype to ring on my phone, or better yet on all devices simultaneously? Or is this unfixable?
I'm paying for an incoming Skype number, and it's pretty much useless if it won't ring. I plan to cancel soon if there's no solution.
The phone is a Huawei Y300 using Skype version 4.5.0.39600.

I had a problem similar to yours with Skype 4.5. Reverting to this more reliable older Skype 4.0.0.22082 version, resolved the problem for many of us with smart-phones. Others, usually with tablets, reported that Skype 3.2.0.6673, better suited their needs. If you have a smart-phone, tap the link of the former Skype, or the latter if you have a tablet. If your first choice does not meet your needs, the other would be worth trying.
Before tapping the downloaded apk file to install the selected Skype, uninstall the current Skype, disable the Play Store “Auto-update apps” option, and enable the Android Settings (from) “Unknown sources” option. Once installed, disable the “Unknown sources” option. Be sure to try any future Skype release, indicated by a change of release date on the Google Play Store Skype “UPDATE” page. If the new Skype is unsatisfactory, revert to the older Skype using the saved apk file.
You can choose an even earlier Skype version if you feel that this would be beneficial. To date. I have not experienced any security problems with any of the above web links. Please be sure to post another reply to let me know how you go with the installation. I should be able to help you if you encounter difficulties.
If you have not already done so, you should create a good Android issue report here to help Skype improve future versions. I am sure that a Private Message to Claudius, letting him know where your report is, would be a nice surprise, and really make his day

Ongoing unresolved issue of not ringing/**bleep** ...

When receiving a call Skype wont ring. Ive tried older versions, but apparently in Skypes infinite wisdom, that's not possible anymore. Why am I paying for a Skype number when the most basic function wont work half the time? I've had this same issue on other devices too many times, sometimes un & reinstalling works for awhile. My opinion is that its a known performance issue that has not been properly addressed by Skype/Microsoft & is total bull**bleep** I'll be switching to Viber. Good riddance Samsung Galaxy s2.

My primary email account is IMAP and I have just found what I suspect are all the messages that were not saved in my "sent" folder either on my iMac or ISP server. They were in the "Sent" folder of my secondary, little-used Hotmail account and the recipients "saw" these as originating from this account rather than the one from which I actually sent them. After some testing, I discovered that, for my primary account, the "always use this server" box was not checked. I surmise that, if the Mail app has trouble using the server associated with my primary account, it simply uses the Hotmail server (this would be consistent with the delay before hearing the "whooshing"noise). What does surprise me is that, if this Hotmail server has been used, the recipient sees the message as originating from Hotmail. Is this what is supposed to happen?

Incoming/outgoing calls either hang up or do not ring.

Over the last month, Skype has been giving me and others in my house issues.List of symptoms:Incoming/Outgoing calls do not ring. However, you recieve a missed call notification.Incoming/Outgoing calls ring but are immediately dropped.This has happened to me and others in my house when using a laptop with wifi and/or a PC with an ethernet connection. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't. I have the most current version on Skype (in fact, installed an update last night). I do have comcast but figured it wasn't an Internet issue since I can access all web sites. This only seems to happen when using Skype. Anyone else having this issue? Know of a way to fix it? Hmmm. How is it that you're ending the call? If you're using the "End Call" option and pressing on the button, then it SHOULD stay on. I don't have the manual right here in front of me, but you could download it for yourself and see what it has to say about this. Here is the link for the pdf version.

Skype not connecting calls/give notifications

Hi I live in Canada, and my friend lives in United States.
For the last few months, whenever he sends me a message I do not get a notification, at first I thought it was because my status was set on Busy for a day, but that wasn't the case at all. I also have Windows 7 on my laptop, his is the same, and we both have the latest version installed.
My status is set at Away, and if anyone else messages me, I get a notification, I don't receive from this specific person. The same thing happened to my ex boyfriend as well as my best friend, I don't get a message notification at all. And I didn't do anything to the settings that may have caused this, it just happened one day to each of them. I noticed that these 3 people were the ones I talk to the most, and I suppose someone else is about to be on the 'No Notifications list'
Is there any way to fix this?
Also I'm trying to call my friend on Skype today on my laptop, the same one that doesn't give notifications, and the call won't connect on my side nor his side. Yet the call goes through my phone only and then in the chat Skype claims that we have missed calls from each other. I restarted my laptop, and I reinstalled Skype, as well as reset my network and nothing is working.
This is getting ridiculous. I really need help please.

Been like this for some months now. But not on all calls. Sometimes works perfectly ok - sometimes not! Sometimes - always fails with particular contacts but not others.
Problem is with outgoing call, not ringing, not connecting, just failing for no reason.
I expect a lot of people have experienced this, and just try again later on.
But, there doesn't seem to be any fixes anytime soon on this community.
The worry is:- does anyone at Skype tech support ever look at these mails at all!

Skype not connecting outgoing calls.

This started last week, for some reason my Skype won't connect to the majority of my contacts (Skype to Skype calls). It will say "connecting", not ring, and then show "Call ended - error."
Does anyone have a solution for this? It's happening on both my MacBook Air and my iPhone. These people are online and can Skype me so this is really confusing and frustrating. I rely on Skype because I live on the other side of the world from my family. It is literally our only communication. I've been using it religiously since 2006 and it's only started doing things like this the last few months.
And yes, I do have the latest version of Skype installed.

I'm on iPhone 4 with iOS 5.0.1 on Australian Vodafone Pre-paid network.
Have a similar issue where I would call my iPhone from a landline, ring tone suggest that phone is ringing, but the actual iPhone device itself is not ringing.
Thought it was the network, so I got myself a new sim - same problem.
Use other (working in other iPhone) sim on the problem iPhone - same problem.
Tried calling out from the problem iPhone - same problem.
The only fix for me was to reset the iPhone by going to: Settings - General - Reset - Reset All Settings.
Hope that helps others...
