Skype not working in STC where we have full range

Dear Friends, I recently purchased an STC Quicknet router 4G at Jubail KFC area(Saudi Arabia). We have 4G coverage here and 3/5 is the signal strength. Using the same STC connection, I can view movies in my laptop without buffering. But to my surprise, Skype calling to mobile numbers abroad is not working. Sometimes I cannot hear their voice and sometimes they cant hear me. Is there any possibe solution to this? Thanks

Yes it is true.i am also located in Jubail and not able to use Skype... since 15 Days i tried several method but not succeed i changed Network mode: from "Auto to 4G" but strange.....my IP address keep changing and frequently disconnecting and similar thing happen with 3G but again i changed to Auto in Network mode then no disconnection.one of my friend told me that STC is not serving real LTE 4G in Jubail....i called to STC CC and got reply that Skype is not the part of STC if it is not working then it is not our problem.and one more thing i wana to share that i can upload freely file/folder on google drive...but....in i can't upload file/folder on onedrive (previously known "Skydrive") it always gives error "upload failed try again"i am sure there is some thing wrong in STC 4G...... not in Skype or any other voip service.Now my question is why mt router is working only on Auto mode? and why keep disconnecting in 4G or 3G mode?

Hello my fellow iPhone 4s users...
i have been going around the web for solution to the lost signal. Upon further investigation and diagnosis with my iPhone and other iPhone with a combination of chnage of sim between phones, resetting the network, hard reset and restoring a few times, it still persist. My analysis is that the iOS 5 >Settings>General>Cellular Data is the culprit. It does not have an option of switching between Edge and 3G (unlike the previous iOS lower than 5.0 or 5.0.1) It always stays on 3G. Now comes the trickiest part of my analysis. For networks having mid to low signal in areas, the updated dual antenna of the iPhone 4s switches automatically between 3G and normal signal. However, since it has no option to go down to Edge, it "automatically revert back to the original signal status". Sometimes from a very strong signal to a low signal area, it shows full bar of signal. but when you try to send an sms or make a call, it fails.
Conclusion:
I believe Apple has been digging deep with their softwate developers and checking the hardware of the iPhone 4s. And if my analysis is correct, they may have to incorporate the option of EDGE and 3G again.
Temporary Solution:
For low reception/signal areas, actually NONE... we have to wait for the update by Apple.
So either use our iPhone 4s as an expensive iPod on poor reception/signal areas and transfer our sim cards temporarily to another phone or have your phone put to AIRPLANE MODE on-off again.

in my phone the skype application skype is not opening up, same is the caseiwth mobile voip. Both these applications were downloaded last night and it worked then, but not working now.

On March 30th I spent over 3 hours on two separate chats and screen shares with your tech team trying to fix the OCR problem. I was told my case was being elevated and I would hear back. It has been 8 days and I have not heard anything. If you read the notes on my file you will see I originally had Acrobat 9 Pro and updated to 11 Pro in order to get my OCR working properly. Since it was downloaded it has not worked. Two separate techs have tried several things some duplicate and have not been able to get it running. Please contact me asap to get this fixed.
We have tried uninstalling and re-installing, we have tried renaming files and copy and pasting them else where.
Here is the last i heard from anyone in our transcript from chat support call:

nope I'm not saying that at all. I was delicately trying to suggest that you may have been mistaken, and that the audio preview in HDV log & capture was never there, not even before.
Audio Preview is a feature of the non HDV Log & Capture window
... try it. change your Easy Setup to DV/DVCPRO NTSC and then open Log & Capture . look familiar? this is the standard L&C tool and does indeed feature a Preview checkbox, for Audio, in the Clip Settings tab. now close the L&C window and then change your Easy Setup back to HDV, open up L&C again ... the Preview checkbox is not there ... my contention (although I may well be wrong!) is that it never was.

IE uses a different version of Flash than other browsers use. You need to install the Plugin version of Flash for Firefox.

Is there an "APPLE STORE" in India or you just went in a reseller store?
There is a replacement program for sleep/wake button for free. Just look for an Apple Store and make a reservation at Genius Bar.
I have an iPhone 5, bought in Dubai U.A.E.
It is a US model (model A1428) which is different of the model use here in Italy/Europe
My serial number is qualified for battery replacement program.
I thought the Apple Store wouldn't repair my phone because I bought it from another country , a different model and it is already out of warranty.
The Apple store's staff just checked if my iPhone's serial number is eligible for the program and he replaced the battery for free today.

Read the documentation at the links. They won't hurt your data.
Basically smc reset is shutdown, pull your plug for 15 seconds, plug it back in, wait 5 seconds, and reboot. Harmless to you. Resets the smc.
Pram reset is similar but you need to push commnd-option-P-R after the boot chime. Read what does.

I just had the same problem. And I found the solution, on Youtube.
The problem is that these ******** at apple designed the battery compartement, the distance between metal contacts too big.
That means the batteries plus or minus poles are not touching the corresponding contacts in the mouses battery compartement.
Most likely the battery doesn't get pushed up to touch the plus contacts.
I used a fingernail to push the battery up and tadaa, the green LED came on.
The guy in the Youtube video just put some folded aluminium foil under the minus poles for bridging the gap.

There's two different versions of Flash. The ActiveX version for IE, and the Plugin version for other browsers. Did you install the correct version? This forum's software doesn't thing that Flash is installed for Firefox or the Plugin is disabled.
