Skype not working

I just up-dated to the latest version and each time i log on it runs for a few seconds then showns an error message telling me that Skype has stopped working. Can someone please fix it...

Open Windows Event Viewer -> Custom Views -> Administartive Events. Look for the recent error messages with timestamp corresponding to Skype crash. Copy and pste here the text from the General tab.

i have downloaded skype, but after synchronizing with itunes skype not working, why? when I was synchronizing I believe there was some message in itune saying software not backed up or somethin to that effect.

in my phone the skype application skype is not opening up, same is the caseiwth mobile voip. Both these applications were downloaded last night and it worked then, but not working now.

I have a problem with chat too, it tells me I need to update the chat to get the latest service but whenever I do it always gives the message "cannot connect to network" how do I get it to connect to the network so it will work? Every other internet application works fine, just not chat.

Downloaded and updated to 10.5.2 with no hassles 'cept Skype (2.0.85) is not working anymore? I'm downloading Skype 2.6 and will post an update on what happens.

I had Skype 2.6 installed when I did the Leopard update. No problems. I just used it for a couple hours on a video chat. Message chat worked fine too.

Apps not showing up in privacy settings, Skype not working

Skype was working okay, but today, when I tried to call someone from my phone, it said i had to allow skype to use the mic, but I had already done that. I still went to privacy settings, but no apps showed up there. But on the camera, while I had multiple apps that use it, none showed up either. In fact, tthe only privacy setting working right was location services!

Thanks for the question. If I understand correctly, programs are not being listed in settings to use certain features. I would recommend that you read these articles, they may be helpful in troubleshooting your issue.

Skype not working after upgrade to 6.22.59.107 ver...

Everthing was working fine with my skype until it got updated to new version. I am not able to make any video calls, skype goes into hang, shows Skype not responding. I tried everything, uninstalling & reinstalling several times, but of no use. I am using Windows 7 with , Internet explorer v11 which is exactly as per the requirements in the website. Can anybody help me sort out this issue? I am going crazy since last 2 days after this updates.

Skype has now been updted to version 7.0.0.100 this moring but the same issue , Going to hang & message " skype not responding" & screen get frozen. I have to go to Task manager to end the task.

Skype not working on MacBook Air

I use Skype on my iMac without any problems; however it will not work on my new MacBook Air. I have tried everything suggested in the forum and nothing works.
I get a message "Sign In Error...Wrong Password". However, this is the correct Skype Name and Password that work just fine on my iMac.
Other times I just get the spinning ball which goes on forever and never connects.
I tried to post a message in the Skype forum but it doesn't even recognize my email address!
Someone said something about downloading Flash to the Air?
Is this an Apple problem or a Skype problem?

The first time I tried Skype on my new MB Air it showed as if me and my husband were both off-line, when in fact we were on-line. So I updated Skype - same problem. I then closed Skype and re-opened. I clicked "Always Allow" when it asked if it could access my pw keychain. Then instead of calling my husband from my Skype contact list I typed his Skype name into the search field and called him from there. Suddenly we both showed up on-line and everything worked.
I suggest that you try creating a new Skype identity and see if it works.

Panasonic Blueray --- SKYPE not working properly

I have tried to use Skype in Blue-ray player (DMP-BDT210) but it keeps saying I have too many contacts to use Skype.
I purchased this unit basically for Skype. How many contacts can I have to be able to use it?
I mean, what is the point to have a Skype-activated gadget if I can not use it with my contacts??!! This was a nasty surprise to be honest, not what I was expecting!!!
By the way, I deleted most of my contacts from Skype and STILL I can't use it...! That means I need to have no contacts in Skype -- to call who then???!!!? Why I would need this unit if I have no contacts to call, What for?!!!!!

PANASONIC AND SKYPE - WARNING
I bought a BDT 330 - I chose that model over other makes mainly because it claimed it had Skype.
Skype did not work, so I contacted Panasonic customer support.
They insisted - over several emails that they DID have Skype on this model, and that I must be doing something wrong.
So I took the 330 back to Curry's who contacted Panasonic dealer support. Curry were told that Panasonic had REMOVED Skype, owing to technical problems. So I contacted Panasonic Customer support (who had been telling untruths to me) who then said that Skype would be put back in the next firmware update. OK, so I waited for the next firmare update as they suggested. So, I updated the firmware and - guess what - STILL NO SKYPE. Panasonic had fed me a further "statement that did not correspond with reality".
I have now lodged a formal complaint with Panasonic.
btw - I have all the emails to support the above statements.

Skype has been updated numerous times in the last two years. Try download an updated version and installed that to see if that helps.

Video on skype not working on hp truevision webcam

I have an integrated HP true vision webcam on my hp pavilion dv6 - 6b58sa laptop.
Now in the last month I have gone to skype but my video is not working. By this I mean, that the user on the other end can not see me. I have gone to options and video settings and tried to selctr my hp truevision webcam. SOmetimes it will appear in the drop down box and other times it won't. When it does I select it it gooes round thinking about it but then reverts back to a default webcam.
Now someone who has tried to help me has done system recovery, re installed factory settings but still not working. Drivers are up to date and working fine. Apprently my friend tells me it is due to microsoft update but there is no solution at this time.
Is this true, can some one please help me get my video back on skype. Once I plugged a scart socket from my tv to my laptop so I could have a view of skype on my tv. Since this this issue has occurred, could this be a reason why

Hi yaz00, welcome to the HP Forums. If the webcam is still not working after a system restore, it is quite possibly a hardware failure. If a Windows update causes the issue, you could simply roll back the driver to the original: Restore a driver to its previous version.

Also make sure there is nothing covering the webcam lense.

Skype not working on Android phone

Since installing the latest Skype version onto my Android phone, the application will not load, and always gives the message " The application Skype (process com.skype.raider) has stopped unexpectedly. Please try again. I have reinstalled Skype about 10 times now, and same message over and over. The previous version of Skype worked great on the Android.
10/6: We debugged further and found that Skype will not come up on the phone as long as the wired headset is plugged in. I have to disconnect the headset, and then Skype comes up. But if you connect the wired headset, then Skype will present that "stopped unexpectedly" message. So there is an incompatibility between the latest version of Skype with the wired headset? Why??? It should support it. The previous version of Skype worked fine on my Android phone WITH the headset.
I hope a fix will be provided immediately.

hey guys....
the way to get skyp to work is by CLEARING YOUR DATA from the app.
ive got an htc evo 4g...so i goto to settings, applications, manage applications, then i find skype, and then i press the CLEAR DATA button.
after that youll be able to login just fine...
i have no idea why you have to do that to make it work...you just do, lol...
and, youll have to do it relatively often...again, i have no idea why...

Yes all the way in April &i have ths same issue. Belle application fixes have been poor, no Skype, no Fring, many things stopped working. Belle it's a nice update, I wished things worked without all the weird error relating to things like which theme you use. Absolute nonsense

Have Skype on my laptop, but have just bought a netbook to take away on holiday and thought it would be good to have Skype on it. In fact, Skype is pre-loaded. However cannot log in - doesn't recognise password. Do not know what to do now! Skype still works well on my laptop. Help please.

Do you have all Windows updates and updates to any hardware devices by the manufacturers? New computers are normally months behind on updates.
After checlking for updates. Please install the latest Skype release, just to see if this makes any difference on this new computer:
Before trying to isolate an issue, it's always best that one is running the latest Skype release. Which may in itself resolve the issue.

Skype not working in STC where we have full range

Dear Friends, I recently purchased an STC Quicknet router 4G at Jubail KFC area(Saudi Arabia). We have 4G coverage here and 3/5 is the signal strength. Using the same STC connection, I can view movies in my laptop without buffering. But to my surprise, Skype calling to mobile numbers abroad is not working. Sometimes I cannot hear their voice and sometimes they cant hear me. Is there any possibe solution to this? Thanks

Yes it is true.i am also located in Jubail and not able to use Skype... since 15 Days i tried several method but not succeed i changed Network mode: from "Auto to 4G" but strange.....my IP address keep changing and frequently disconnecting and similar thing happen with 3G but again i changed to Auto in Network mode then no disconnection.one of my friend told me that STC is not serving real LTE 4G in Jubail....i called to STC CC and got reply that Skype is not the part of STC if it is not working then it is not our problem.and one more thing i wana to share that i can upload freely file/folder on google drive...but....in i can't upload file/folder on onedrive (previously known "Skydrive") it always gives error "upload failed try again"i am sure there is some thing wrong in STC 4G...... not in Skype or any other voip service.Now my question is why mt router is working only on Auto mode? and why keep disconnecting in 4G or 3G mode?
