Skype number always busy

Just purchased a skype number subscription few days ago and its have been always busy. Can I either get my money back or Skype fix this issue as soon as possible?

Please contact customer service to request assistance with this.
Also, when you say, "My skype number is constantly busy when I am called (and I am not using it!),"
... please note that the Skype Number will not "ring busy" - if you are using Skype, incoming calls would be diverted according to your Tools -> Options settings. The Skype Number provides a phone number for people to reach you, but the number has nothing to do with outbound calls you place.

Online Number Always busy

Hi,
I have setup an online Number in Geneva, Switzerland last week. After setting it up, I have tried to test it by calling it but its always busy. I wonder if there is an activation period for such numbers. If this is so, can any body tell me how long it takes for online numbers to become active?

Your Online # should become active within a few minutes of purchase. If it didn't please
first check that your privacy settings are set to ''Allow calls from anyone''.
Then change them to "Allow SkypeIn calls from Only people from my Contacts List".
Save and wait for 5 minutes.
Log out from your Skype account and log back in.
Change settings back to "Allow calls from Anyone".
Save and wait for 5 minutes.
Log out from your Skype account and log back in.

Incoming Skype calls always busy

This is a long-running problem with no apparent solution, but I figured I would ask. I have Skype and an online number. Now supposedly, this means I can receive incoming calls. I can't. The phone line is always busy. We've gone through Level 1,2, and 3 support with Skype -- still no success.
Their latest suggestion is that maybe something in the firewall is stopping incoming calls. (In which case, why don't they roll over into voice mail? he wondered.) OK, so humor me here -- will my Time Capsule block any incoming calls on Skype? Does anyone know the ports that I would need to check (simple google didn't reveals those)? Do I need to endure sitting on hold to talk to Road Runner tech support to find out if the ISP is blocking something?

Skype support couldn't provide you with those?
I'll put in the request now. It could take a couple of weeks to hear back. But when you're dealing with Skype, time and space really kind of are irrelevant to them.

Hi, IAL, and welcome to the Community,
Hopefully, you are not signed on to Skype on the mobile device at the same time you are testing your Skype Number. If you are, that could be the problem. Try calling the Skype Number from a fixed line, instead. Otherwise, you will need to please contact Skype customer service directly to sort this as we here in the Community do not have the resources to diagnose and resolve.

When i got my skype number it was busy when someone tried to call me and my skype was online . I changed my skype to only friends on skype list logged out for 5 minutes then logged in and changed it back to everyone can contact me. Been 3 days now and still no joy on my chefdamo account

Online Number always busy? And is NOT

I'd bought an online number. I've been testing it calling from another number, and it gives me BUSY sound while it is not busy, and on another moment it gives me the message "the person you are trying to reach is unavailable right now........ " and again THAT is NOT TRUE. I am there!.
Why? and where is the skype technical area to get a proper answer and a solution to this problem?

Busy signal means your call preferences are set to receive calls only from online contacts. Problem for me os on MY side it says set to receive calls from everyone bit on THEIR side it says contacts only. And no one there is allowed to change it :/

I spoke to them via the online chat support system a few times. I was told that they were escalating the problem to a higer service level and that I'd hear back from them soon. That was a few days ago, and so far I've heard nothing. I tried using Skype again last night and the problem is still there. I've heard other people are having the same issue too. If you're using Android, check out an app called "OTO". It allows free international calls (only use the minutes as if you were calling another phone in Korea) and has worked fine for me so far. It's not as good as Skype, but it works until this issue gets resolved.

Skype says my 'to go' number is busy

When I call my skype to go phone number, it will sound like it is ringing between 1-4 times, and then simply say that the phone number is "busy". It takes 5-6 rings at my end before my wife hears the first ring at her end. I know that the phone number is not busy. This has been a problem intermittently as long as I have used the 'Skype to go' system. Now this is the only response that I get.

My online number is always "busy" even when its no...

I have troubleshooted and posted on here and changed privacy settings and upgraded to the latest Skype version and have been in a continuous online feedback loop w/ Skype desperately looking for answers. MAD!
My 3 month online number does NOT work, and now Skype is sending me emails saying that I can extend it. No way. I want my money back, and I want the number to work. Do I really need to buy MORE credit in order to get an answer? will absolutely abandon skype.
