Skype number - change accounts

I have paid 3 months for a Skype number. However, I recently opened a new account (to distinguish between personal and business contacts). How can I update my Skype number so that it is assigned to my new account?

Skype's system of changing the term of an existing subscription is different from most: what you need to do is to cancel your current subscription, which will disable automatic renewal.  Your current Skype Number will continue to work until the last day of the subscription. 
Your current Skype Number will remain on account for 90 days following the current subscription's expiration date, during which timeframe you can sign on to your account dashboard and renew (reactivate) your Skype Number subscription for a different term.
Last time I checked, and the last time I renewed a Skype Number, the 50% renewal discount was available when we had a concurrently running rate plan subscription (e.g. "Unlimited World").

    Excellent question, and one which only Skype Customer Service can answer as we here in the Community do not have the tools to test and resolve such issues.  Here is a link to the instruction on how to contact Skype Customer Service via their secure portal: Contact Customer Service
    Skype is aware of existing problems with the website when contacting their customer service agents. If you experience difficulty reaching Skype Customer Service or find yourself redirected back to the Community, please try again using a different web browser and - very important! - choosing a different path through the various drop-down menu options presented.
    Also, look to approve a pop-up dialogue box which would connect you to start an instant message chat with a customer service agent.  If you have pop-ups blocked in your browser settings, this will also block reaching an agent.  Please see also this:

  • Skype number payment FAILED Due to change in debit...

    1.) My 3-month reoccuring billing cycle for Skype number: xxx xxx xxxx failed due to the debit card number changed.
    2.) I have deleted ALL other payment methods and inserted the current active card (ending in xxx xxxx but the xxxxxxxx  Swedish Krona owing has yet to be retreived and paid.
    3.) It appears my Skype number may be cancelled? I do NOT want to lose the use of this number!
    4.) Am quite upset that I can't speak or chat LIVE with a Skype representative!
    5.) How I use my Skype number: xxx xxx xxxx This is an L.A. Area Code, from which I receive incomming calls. I have a GOOGLE VOICE account, which I use for making ALL outgoing calls, I do NOT use Skype for this purpose (only incomming).
    6.) I appears my Skype number: xxx xxx xxxx is no longer working, as I attempted to call and test, but it just rang and didn't even get my voice mail?

    1. It won't be canceled and you won't lose it. It is reserved for for you for 90 days following expiry and/or cancellation.
    2. Please tell us why you were unable to contact Customer Service.
    3. Your account shows that your Skype Number is currently deactivated.

    I recommend that you always run the latest Skype version: Windows & Mac

    I have just taken a Skype number and wanted to try it out first on a months payment plan....
    I now want to change this to an anual payment plan how do I do this?

    I know this sounds bizarre, however what you need to do is let your Skype Number subscription run its course and expire.  Once it does, then you can sign on to your account details where you manage your payment methods, subscriptions, and so on, and Reactivate the number.  When you do, you can change the term of the subscription.
    After your Skype Number expires, the number will be held for you for 90 days.

    In the Windows version of Skype, the settings to record a new voice mail greeting are here:
    Tools -> Options -> Calls -> Voice Messages.  Remember to Save your updates!

  • Re: Skype Number subscription renewal has changed ...

    I ran into the same issue today.  I purchased a year subscription for a Skype number last time.  My account was set for auto renewal so my number didn't expire.  I tried canceling this subscription and then purchasing a new one, but I couldn't get my existing number back.  So, I reactivated my existing subscription.  I also can't delete my payment method because it's tied to my US unlimited calling subscription.

    This also happened to me.  How do we go about changing it back, please?

    I've been a Skype number subscriber for 2 years now. Bought it to receive calls from clients the problem is that we've rebranded our company with a new name and that will also mean we move to a new Skype account with new username.

    Unfortunately, this does happen.  What also can happen is that the former user of the number did not send a timely "contact details update" notice -- or may have simply gone out of business.    Please contact Skype Customer Service to report this and to request refund of the subscription.   We here in the Community do not have the tools to do this.
    Here is a link to the instruction on how to contact Skype Customer Service via their secure portal: Contact Customer Service.   Skype is aware of lingering and sporadic website issues. Temporarily enabling scripts, pop-up dialog boxes, and disabling plug-ins which could prohibit pop-ups may help get past website problems. 
    If you experience difficulty reaching Skype Customer Service or find yourself redirected back to the Community, please try again using a different web browser and choosing a different path through the various drop-down menu options presented.
    Also, look to approve a pop-up dialogue box which would connect you to start an instant message chat with a customer service agent. If you have pop-ups blocked in your browser settings, this will also block reaching an agent.
    Last and not least, when you reach the last step of the process, remember to click on the "Start Chat" link when you are provided the choice of visiting the Community or starting an instant message chat with a customer service agent.

    Skype numbers and credit are tied to the account.  If you add an additional Skype number or replace the number with a new one when the old one expires, then the credit won't change since it's still tied to the account.  If you want to transfer the credit from one account to another then as far as I know,  it's not possible on standard accounts.  If you recently purchased credit within the past 15 days that you didn't use, you could request a refund.  You could then apply the money from the refund towards credit on another account.

    I previously purchased several apps from the app store using my AppleID which was using my previous hotmail email address details. Now that hotmail is joined with Skype, I changed my email address to Gmail and then updated the information for my AppleID. Now when I view the purchase History using the new email

    You can't merge Apple IDs.  You also can't cancel (delete) and existing ID, you can only choose to stop using it.
    If your old ID was compromised and you can no longer access it, you'll have to contact Apple for assistance.  Go to https://expresslane.apple.com ; click 'See all products and services' at the bottom of the page. In the next page click 'More Products and Services, then 'Apple ID'. In the next page select 'Other Apple ID Topics' then then 'Apple ID account Security’.

    You can see the bank account before and after values in vendor master display or change.  Call up the vendor master (XK02 or XK03), go to the Vendor: Payment transaction screen, and then select the menu path Environment -> Account Changes -> All Fields.  The bank account changes will be listed under the change screen heading "Vendor Master (Bank Details)".  You may need to click the button "Entries" to see the Vendor Master (Bank Details).  Double-click that line and you will see the before and after values for ever bank number change.
    Example:
    Entry Vendor Master (Bank Details)
    Date                          Chgd By              Co Bank Number    Acct/IBAN
    11/30/09         ??????????       US 043318092      987654321     NEW
    11/30/09         ??????????       US 043318092      123456789     OLD

    I recently purchased a Skype number - about a week ago by bank transfer - but the number has not appeared in my Skype Number box on my Account page. Is this standard, or am I missing something obvious??

    Check the status of the transaction in your purchasing history in your account at www.skype.com   If it does not say 'delivered,' then your Skype Number will not yet be active. 
    Bank transfers can take time to complete.

    Yes, however only  by
    cancelling the Skype Number subscription you currently have; and
    starting a new Skype Number subscription.
    Be sure to explain the circumstances when you please contact Skype Customer Service to request a refund as Skype Number subscriptions are not refundable.

  • Duplicate whole row, change account number

    Hi, I would like to duplicate the whole row in Journal Entry and then change the account number. However, when I changed the account number, the content of the other fields was cleared. i,e. All duplicated contents were cleared.
    Is there any way to configure so that the content of duplicated row were not cleared when I change the account number?

    hi raymond,
    On duplicating row changing account code will
    clear amount in debit/credit as this is normal system behaviour
    even when you are raising service documents.
    Are you doing single journal entry/mass JE?
