Skype number not accepting calls

if you call the number from a phone a message says "this number is not accepting calls' not only does it not forward the call it doesnt even work on the pc. very frustrating. its nothing to do with my privacy settings.

Illegal use of my skype number to make calls

Can anyone use your Skype number to make calls? I had a return call today from someone I do not know and they were returning a call they said I made earlier today and this person had my Skype number correctly. How can someone, or anyone for that matter, use my Skype number to make calls? Is there a way to stop that? Anyone with an answer, please respond.

Although possible, that's not entirely true. If the user has altered the wireless key, then viewing the back of the hub will not help
But how many out there in BT land actually do change it?
BT only prompt the user to change the default admin password if and when they first access the hub.
At least BT thought about the label design on the HH3, keeping it hidden until needed.
I reckon hardly anyone would change the wireless key to be honest , but I wonder how many leave them in a window ...

I have a moto g on prepaid and now when somebody tries to call it says person not accepting calls at this time. What have I done to make it do this and how do I fix it?

I have a Moto G on prepaid. What did I hit to make it say I am not accepting calls at this time? I did it by accident if I have done something on the phone. Please help!! I need to get it fixed.

Finally got to the store to see what was going on. I didn't do it. My previous carrier was still holding my number even though it was working before. Verizon called and got it released and problem solved!! Thanks!!

Serial Number not accepted CS4

I have a Macbook Air and tried to install CS4 Design Standard, but the downloaded installer does not accept my serial number (marked as invalid). I purchased the CS4 Design Standard (Education) in 2009. What can I do to install the CS 4 on my Mac that has no disc drive? Why is my serial number not accepted?

Skype Number and Recieving Calls

Hello,
I wanted to know once I have a Skype Number, and someone calls me, do I pay any additional cost for the phone call besides the 18 dollars for the number if the person I am talking to is in the United States and the Skype Number is a US number?

brother use some proxy first like pptp or hotspot shield and then make call, this will fix your problem i think because many voice ports are blocked by PTA.

Skype number not displaying correctly with Caller ID

Hello, I have had my Skype number for several years and it's been no problem for those with Caller ID to have my Skype number displayed when receiving a call from me. However, the past few months this has changed dramatically. Now, my Skype number is NEVER displayed when calling someone and in fact, most of the time it displays numbers or even names randomly which have zero relation to myself or my number. Other times, the users Caller ID will display "Skype User". Why has this suddenly happened and what can be done to ensure that it's corrected and working properly again?
My account is indeed configured to display my Skype number (as it has been for several years), but this has no longer has any bearing whatsoever on the number displayed when I call someone. I have found that some people are no longer accepting my calls since they have no idea that I am the one calling them.
This is happening when I call numbers in the U.S. and sometimes Canada and does not matter where my physical location is - if I am in the U.S., U.K., Hong Kong, Taiwan, etc, the result is always the same - my number is NOT displayed.
If anyone could offer some advice which would take care of this, I would be most appreciative. Thank you, Greg

Yes, I have read that FAQ and I realize Caller ID does not work for all countries. But that same FAQ indicates that Caller ID is available for the U.S. And this is where I make the majority of my calls. However, as I mentioned in my original post, my Caller ID has NOT been displayed for several months. What is displayed are randomly changing phone numbers and names that have no bearing whatsoever with anything related to my actual Skype number or name. I've done my own testing when calling my home phone from Skype. I'll call multiple times in quick succession and I will get different results each and every time. USA skype number not working

Have a toll free number purchased elsewhere and then purchased a skype USA number to have the calls forwarded to that.
Skype number doesn't work. Spent 3 hours with skype instant chat support 10 days ago and problem could not be resolved so it was "esacalated to a higher leverl" with NO time frame given for a resolution.
A week later no resolution and no contact from skype so again spent another 2 hours on skype instant chat support and asked for a refund. Was passed to another support person to get the refund but this person only wanted to go through the whole thing again until after an hour later I finally had to demand several times for a refund.
Was then told I could not have a refund but instead I could have a voucher to obtain another skype USA number for free. Went through all the steps to obtain this number with the voucher but it didn't work. Received an email to say here is your skype number (no number shown) and enjoy with family and friends. Got back to skype support who was waiting and told her what happened.
Spent another hour on instant chat support and had to send screen shots to show that I was now being asked for another payment even though the voucher had been verified and accepted.
Problem still could not be resolved and again I was told that my issue would be escalated to a higher level but NO time frame could be given.
SKYPE!!! You have got to be joking with me right? Wrong! Still no resolution and my customers have no way to contact me because the phone number doesn't work. Losing money every day in lost sales to my business.
Is there any skype support person out there who cares and can do something about this shoddy non-service?

I an having the same issue. I have had my number for years and ported it out to a prepaid plan. After I forgot to reload the prepaid phone, it quickly canceled my plan and number. When I searched Skype for a similar number, I was surprised to see my number back in the Skype Number Pool. So I repurchased it and I didn't notice the problem until when I tried to port it back to Tmobile and after days of waiting and troubleshooting by Tmobile, they told me they couldn't get the number transferred because it's not my number and they said that the landline company who holds or owns or carries the number can't be reached. This has been going on for almost a year now.
After further research, I read that those phone number carriers who sell phone numbers in wholesale are called CLEC. There are only a handful of those companies. I am don't know what to do and Skype can't help me either. I really need to get this resolved.
If you were able to get your number working, please let me know. The message that callers of my number get is this "you have reached THE non working number, announcement 1 4 switch 2 0 - 4".

Skype number not working / long forwarding times

Dear Team,
my skype number is not working although I allowed everyone to call in my privacy settings. This has been happening quite often and now it is already down all day.
I put it on forwarding to my mobile number for now, but although i set the time to forwarding to one 2nd, it takes 20 seconds or so until my phone rings. Is this normal?
Can you please help me fix this. And please don't send me the customer service link with which i should click my way through. I tried many times to "click find" my answer. I hope a discussion with a human being helps.

My hands are tied - you asked not to be provided with instruction how to contact Skype Customer Service - which you would have to click your way through - and which I would normally recommend you do just to double-check nothing is awry with your Skype Number.
Our Community Guidelines do explain that this Community is not a branch of Skype Customer Service; no customer service agents monitor the posts here. We here in the Community are not authorized to access Skype accountholder files or records.
As far as the delay in forwarding, have you tried to set your "number of rings" setting in your client software settings to "0" (zero)? Sometimes that does the trick.

Skype Number NOT SHOWN

I got a Hong Kong skype number, and I tried to call my friends in Hong Kong while I am in UK. However, the friends told me that the caller number is not shown which means the skype number doesn't shown.
Please tell me what should I do in order to show the skype number to others!

As you wrote this past Wednesday, if the recipient's telephony service provider does not support Caller ID, there is nothing Skype can do about this! Once you are assured that your Skype Number is indeed set correctly as your Caller ID, there is always the chance that the endpoint recipient's carrier - be it wireless or fixed line - will not detect the Caller ID data.

Skype number not active, anyway to receive refund?

Well for one I had purchased a skype number 3 days ago. After purchasing I was welcomed with the alarming fact that t mobile prepaid does not support call forwarding even though they give very misleading information that they do. My question is this, is there anyway possible that I can receive a refund for this service I will now never use. And if not, why is the service I paid for not even active? Thanks in advance

I have an address in the states as well Canada. I bought a Skype number to use when I'm up in Canada to conduct business so clients will know how's calling. Please remember that a Skype Number only works for people to call a real telephone number, so they can reach you on Skype. In other words, a Skype Number is for incoming calls only. You would need a subscription or to Buy Skype credit to cover the costs of calls placed outside of Skype.

My skype number not working with new subscription

My 1st subscription was cancelled due to an expired credit card. Unable to update credit card info, I was forced to open a 2nd subscription. I need to connect my skype phone number to the 2nd subscription.

Additional information added: can the Skype number (formerly known as Online Number) be reached from a land or fixed line? If yes, can the number be reached from a mobile phone? If not, then the issue is different - the wireless carrier may not be recognizing the number.
