Skype number still not working

I am have been subscribing to a Skype number, but when I call it an automated female voice answers the number despite that I have been trying to reset it by switching Skype privacy settings. When I call from Skype to my phone a caller id number that I don't know shows on my phone.

Skype number unreliable / not working?

I am using Skype on a Galaxy S3.
Ever since I signed up for a Skype number I have had people emailing me saying that they were unable to contact me on the Skype number that I gave them. This has become more frequent just recently and I have missed some important calls.
When I call my Skype number from a landline it's a bit hit and miss if a connection is made.... sometimes I get "number not recognised" response from the landline. People who have attempted to call me report similar isssue or sometimes that the number is continually busy and does not go to voicemail.
I called skype support yesterday via Live Chat and was talking to the support guy for 1h 20min and achieved nothing.... he blamed it on everything from my phone provider, internet provider, that my email account was overloaded etc etc ... I think the guy must have bored and was having a joke with me..... that or he was a complete and total utter ####### idiot.
I have attached a screen shot showing settings on my Skype account page.
Currently (23 Jan) my Skype number is not working at all... when I attempt to call from landline I
get the message "the numebr that you have dialled has not been recognised"
Anyone else having reliability issues with a Skype number? Unless I get the issue resolved I will be cancelling account as it is worthless to me in it's current working state.
One more question.... I managed it yesterday, but cannot find it tooday, but how **bleep** do you get to the link for Live Chat.... all i do is get directed to send email???

Skype is aware of lingering problems with the website when contacting their customer service agents. If you experience difficulty reaching Skype Customer Service or find yourself redirected back to the Community (or offered only the Community as a contact method), please try again using a different web browser and - important - choosing a different path through the various drop-down menu options presented.
Also, look to approve a pop-up dialogue box which would connect you to start an instant message chat with a customer service agent. If you have pop-ups blocked in the browser settings, this will also block reaching an agent.

My skype number does not work anymore

Hello , My skype number no longer works and i tried to reset privacy as suggested here but it does not help. Can someone pls cheeck. i purchased it 5 months ago and there is still 7 months to go.

We here in the Community do not have the tools to diagnose and resolve what has failed with your Skype Number. However, Skype Customer Service does. Here is a link to the instruction on how to contact Skype Customer Service via their secure portal: Contact Customer Service
A few extra notes on contacting Customer Service...
You will need to proceed through each step, one at a time. Sign on to the Skype website as requested. Choose the subject and topic which most closely matches the item you need assistance with. Then, continue past Step 2 of the instruction where several articles from the FAQ library will appear for you to review, and proceed to Step 3, Continue Support Request (the blue "button" appears at the lower right corner of the website page). You may also skip through Step 4 where you will be referred back here to the Community; no need to do this as the Community is where you started. When you complete the webform and click Submit, your information is relayed to Skype and you will receive a reply via e-mail.
If you are a Skype Premium or other eligible customer, you will be routed to start an instant message chat session with a Customer Service agent.

My Skype number is not working. No sounds, No rin...

I really haven't needed it so I have not tried it in months. But, I tried to add this number to my paypal account and found it wasn't working. Then I tried to call it. No sounds at all. No ringing, no busy signal - nothing.
I will not post my number here as you should be able to see my number from my account.
Please fix asap.

Online number still not working

I have an online number, but it doesnt work. (engaged noise when rung)
1st - i did all the things listed in the 'help' section regarding this problem-
didnt work
2nd - went on live chat and he told me to do the same thing and some other stuff.
Still didnt work, so he referred my case to main office and said someone would be in touch to fix it. This was last week and i still havent heard anything!
I need to use this number ASAP! Can someone please fix it?

Same thing with me...
I was receiving the skype emails giving updates on the issue about the Online numbers in Brazil.
Then, I got an email on June 30 saying that we could try to keep the same number, but skype was opening a new line and my subscription would be transfered to that number. And also, I would be getting 2 additional months free for the inconvenience... The email was very confusing and there were no clear instructions on how to proceed. It is copied below:

Well, what happened was that I got a new number and both (the old and the new) have been showing as active in my account. My subscription (recently renewed for 1 year) is linked to my old number, that does not work (always busy).
The new number, opened on the day that I have received the email above, has worked fine ever since, but is going to expire in 10 days and there is no indication that my subscription will be transfered from the old (not working) number to the new number (good one) when it expires...
I will not buy an extension for the new number since I've already gotten it for the old one... I just need my subscription linked to a number that actually works, which ever number it is...
Oh, and I tried changing the privacy settings to allow receiving calls from anyone... Didn't work !

I have purchased a Skype number. I am travellling and I am out of the country but I cannot seem to make my Skype number work. It is a New York City number but when someone calls it nothing happens. I paid for it for three months! It shows up in my Skype profile! What am I doing wrong?

Skype number does not work

I own a skype number. It does not work and I am paying for a service I do not receive with no way of contacting anyone to resolve this. I am also paying for a service to be able to online chat and this is also disabled. I should be credited the time I have lost posing this problem and receiving no response and I want it fixed.

none of these posts you have recommended relate to my problem. I am getting the message, You've cancelled your Unlimited World subscription. You can continue to make calls until it expires on January 19, 2013.

I bought a skype number. The people who call me say that never get complete the call. I have no active call diversion! What to do?

The Skype number is very unreliable. Cancel account and get a refund. Skype tech support will not acknowledge that there is a problem with the service.

One possible reason why Skype Number does not work is "it already expired". Skype always send email notification on the primary email address of the account about the order confirmation, status of your account/subscription.
I would suggest that you do the following to see the status of your Skype Number:
1. Check the inbox of your primary email address on the account. Skype may have sent you an email notification about the status of your Skype Number.
2. Log in to your account and see if the order for your Skype Number renewal has been delivered. When youlog in to your account in the website, go to Billing and Payments then click on Purchase History. You will see the status of your Online Number renewal, if you dont see the order as Delivered, that means the payment for your Skype Number was not successful.
If you have any other concerns and questions about your Skype Number, I would suggest that you contact Skype Live Support for real time assistance:

Here's how to get to Skype Live Support:
1. Sign in to your account using that link.
