Skype Out and Yahoo Voice
I have my Mac Pro and a Windows PC connected to my network thru an airport extreme in bridge mode. The main router is a Linksys. I can't seem to get my Skype Out or Yahoo Voice (the one that lets you call to real phone numbers in cheap rates).
When I connect to my router directly, it works just fine.
Any idea what could possibly happen?

I am not certain that this version of Yahoo Messenger has video chat.
There is a beta version out of Yahoo Messenger which has Mac OS X 10.3.9 as a minimum requirement:

It says it has webcam support, but I'm not sure which webcams may be included in that support.
Personally, I use Apple's iChat (which uses the AIM protocol) for instant messaging. iChat is included with Mac OS X 10.3.

Ive reset my SMC and PMU but it still does not work. Only black screen appears on skype with a loading sign that takes so long. DON'T use the new Apple ID. Pretend that it doesn't exist. Multiple IDs will cause you heartache! Go here to determine what happened with the password for the old ID.

this is my 3rd macbook air and pro that kicks me out my yahoo email all the time and tells me my password is wrong when its not this been going on 2 years 3 different macs sometimes it dont do it for months after a software update
Don't switch email providers. Switch to another email client on your Mac. It is not Yahoo. I have 3 Yahoo accounts and never have any problems getting or sending mail from/to those accounts. But I don't use the built in Mac Mail program. I use Thunderbird. I use thunderbird on both Mac OS X and Windows. Been using it for some time now with no problems getting my Yahoo mail, Google gmail mail or form my work email account.

How do i get my webcam working on my skype and yahoo messenger, even though my cam is working on photo booth ( and i am tlking of the mbp with latest OX).
you need to go into the preferences of the actual programs and make the proper settings...
Such as in Yahoo, go to preferences, Webcam tab, sub tab Video and make sure you have the proper camera selected in the drop down menu of video source. In your case built-in isight camera. -

I have run CCleaner and cleared cookies. Uninstalled and reinstalled FF to no availe.
When I close FF a box comes up telling me it has crashed.
I can sign out of Yahoo in IE.the benefit of this https scan feature is at least questionable. in order for it to work, avast has to perform a kind of man-in-the-middle "attack" in order to get to the content of the encrypted connection (firefox supports a feature called [http://monica-at-mozilla.blogspot.co.at/2014/08/firefox-32-supports-public-key-pinning.html key pinning] which can be used by websites to address such MITM attacks and which also seems to pick up AVAST's interference).
when you download files over a https-connection, they will be scanned by your AV software once they land on your hard-disk anyway. on the other hand it should be the job of the browser to make it impossible to get infected by malicious software by just surfing around...

Skype keeps signing me out and back in
This problem has been happening to me for about two weeks.Everytime i log into skype the blue circle keeps on spinning. and about every 10 second i go online and then offline. I've already tried deleting the program and redownloading skype and the same problem happens. i keep signing out and signing in. This problem started happening when i downloaded skype on my Phone (android smartphone). I only used skype on my phone once and after that I deleted it ever since then it hasn't been working.
It's possible that this may be a connection problem; I've had problems like this before, and they stopped after I changed internet connections. Try using this site to test your internet speed. Skype needs about 30kps for regular calls, so I'd assume if it's even slower than that, it may be your connection. You can try using a friend's wifi or some sort of public wifi to test this theory.

I recently purchased an iPod Touch, and downloaded the Yahoo app, it allowed me to use voice chat to other yahoo users, but recently it has started to disconnect me from the call shortly after making it. All the obvious solutions that I can think of I've eliminated, my internet connection is fine, my iPod is functioning normally aside from this issue, I don't have any sort of shake options enabled that would disrupt it. I've tried restarting, resetting, wiping my iPod clean. Downloading Yahoo via IM+ lite but that version doesn't support voice calls, I know there's a few other apps that may work but I like my Yahoo As a side question, what other apps are there that enable free voice chat to pcs? I think Skype, not sure what else. Thanks in advance for any helpful information.
PS. I'm not sure on my OS, but if you feel it's relavant I can find it out and post it later. However I tried updating it recently so I think it's at it's most modern version of what it can be.I tried calling that IBM number, 1-800-426-7378 through Yahoo, and also through three other toll-free termination providers. If anyone wants to try it just put the below SIP numbers into Speed Dial memory slots in your ATA.

The first one, voipmich, seems to connect to the same IVR menu as when calling through Yahoo Voice, and I heard the woman's voice. The last two, sipphone and sipbroker, both connected me to a different IVR menu, it had a man's voice and DTMF IVR control worked there.
I thought it worth mentioning that IVR menu control did not work even when calling from a SPA2102 account configured with a Gizmo5.com account. Apparently, the IVR control issue is not only with Yahoo Voice. -

But as it's seen, though I thought calling(video n voice) is secure through skype, now I doubt a bit. coz there are so many software available( I really dunno if they work or not) to hack into skype accounts and even to personal webcams through skype without even knowing.... are these all a false or what?
I lately found out this software available that says; using that, anyone can spy on us by just knowing our skype ID... Is that possible? I saw it when I was just moving around in YouTube. And with all these comments people saying it's really working. I didn't try to download it and find the truth coz I felt its not a good idea as it can affect my computer or my own skype account....
Can anyone please describe the truth on this.... If you want, I can give the link to that youTube video to see what I'm telling here.....

I think that those software that you mentioned could actually do harm in your computer, rather than to do what they claim they can do. Those programs that claim that can hack Skype calls are most likely fake software and most likely contain viruses/malware/spyware or similar elements.
People/parties who promote such software also make use of fake social media accounts to put comments saying that their software actually work (which is a very common practice of scammers).
and you made the right choice on not to download those programs in your computer. Who knows what damage they could do in your computer system/accounts.

Problems with Audigy and Yahoo Messenger/Teamspeak/any web speak prog
So, I have a soundblaster audigy with the front input panel thingy with all the different inputs/outputs (forgive my lack of computerness), and I'd like to be able to use the MIC IN 2 input for headset to talk to people online. I can hear myself fine over my own speakers/headphones when I plug a mic in there, but I cannot get any sound to activate when I try Yahoo voice messenger or teamspeak. A clue is....when I tried to plug the mic in to the horrible input on the back of the computer (the tiny /8 one) I did register some sound but only a crackling noise. Is there some setting I need to switch specifically for online transmission?

I have Exchange and Yahoo accounts on my iPhone 4. At least 1 email I send from out thru my Exchange account fails to send and it simply refuses to leave the outbox. The only guaranteed way of sending it is to change the sender to my yahoo account. Note that is ONLY occurs on replies to existing emails, never new emails.
It is only certain mails that fail. Even if I delete the mail and write another reply it will still fail.
Could it be content related? It happened on IOS4 & 5.
I've asked one of the staff in the Apple shop and he said he's seen this before but doesnt know the answer - not really helpful if you're trying to work off your iPhone :-(Thanks razmee209.
I would agree with you if I still couldnt send the reply by changing the sender to my yahoo account; but as I mentioned before - whenever the mail fails to send, I can ALWAYS send it by changing the sender to my yahoo account.
I agree that it must be something within the original mail, but why does it trigger a failure if I reply from my exchange account and not my yahoo yahoo account.
I can delete the Exchange account and re-add it, but it makes no difference. I've also rebooted the phone but again, no difference.
