Skype - Paid $10 for just calls - Skype is charging me $3/mo subscription -
I tried just to deposit $10 to test Skype's calling function - but, Skype immediately charged me $30 for a subscription call for the month, I guess and suspect that they will do this every month.
I just wanted to test my Nexus 7 as an emergence calling device - if it worked I wanted to evaluate Skype as a replacement for my cell phone.
Can anyone help me in telling me how to get Skype to take off the charges for subscription.

Skype crash for every call i make

I have a huge problem my skype crash when i try to call someone or receive a call.

When you select one of your contacts, an option for a video call should appear with the call and chat options.

That implementation to disable spell-checking for Skype is terrible. Making that change is not Skype specific and will affect other application too. I want to disable this for just / only Skype as I often IM to people in a different language there. Please fix this.

I think I know what is the issue here. Whenever I setup the MS Exchange on my phone, there is a need to use PIN (6 characters) as a security. Swipe is no longer an option.
This is the same for all Android phones as this is a security feature setup by your company's Exchange server and in order for your mails to go into your phone there is a need to setup PIN (6 characters min or text).

Skype doesn't present option for video calls

I recently upgraded from Windows XP to 7. Video call is not shown as an option for a call. Video and audio test fine. Any ideas?

Please, run the DirectX diagnostics tool (32-bit mode).
Go to Windows Start and in the Run box type dxdiag.exe and press the OK button. This will start the DirectX diagnostics program. Run this diagnostics and save the results to a file. Please, attach this file to your post.

Subscription paid but got charged for a call

I pay a monthly subscription to Australia, yet I just made a call to a landline in Australia and it drained my Euro balance I keep for calls to other destinations. Why and what can be done about it? I can't make any calls now until this problem is rectified. My last subscription was paid 02 October. Thanks

Hi...does Skype charge for phone calls even if the phone was not answered?...i.e. if I call somone to their telephone / mobile from skype...and if they have not answered...and I cut the call before it goes to their voicemail...is there a charge?...please advice...Thanks

I think users may be indeed charged once the call is "connected", regardless if it was actually answered by the other party or not.

Ok so I happened to figure it out while on the phone to apple support. Even though the guy was very nice, I think I knew more than him! He was explaining very basic resolution principles I played about. I had the second option in displays resolution. All I did was unplug the HDMI cable, click on 'best for display' then plugged the HDMI in and my resolution on the normal monitor changed to the normal blue, then went black momentarily and then changed to a strange resolution but another window appeared that said SONY BRAVIA HDMI at the top! Hey presto! Don't know why it didn't do it yesterday - I probably left the HDMI cable in or something! Oh well. Problem solved!

Apple doesn't have anything to do with this other than enforcing the DRM protection. The developers of this content expect to be paid if someone wants to use their content. When you purchase content in the app store, you purchase a license to use the content. This license does not permit you or anyone else to resell or give this content away. The individual you purchased the phone from simply does not have the right to sell or give away any purchased content on the phone. You were deceived.

What makes you believe that you can't? To set a custom ringtone (or SMS tone) for a contact, go to that contact entry, tap the Edit button in the upper right. You can then edit both ringtones and SMS tones for that contact.
