Skype Premium, no charge on next cycle?

Will I be charged for Skype Premium when mine ends on March 22?

I too just discovered a Permium Messaging charge on my husbands line. It had something to do with Facebook, MySpace & Twitter updates. My husband doesn't use any of these social websites! Customer servce was kind enough to remove the charge & give me a number to text so we could opt-out. A block for Premium Messaging has been put on both our lines!
I'm so glad to hear that others have been able to have these charges removed as well.
Thanks Verizon for the great customer service!!

I have had an Unlimited World subscription for a number of years. When I upgraded to Skype Premium the charge included an Unlimited USA & Canada subscription that is redundant. was this a mistake? Why do I need to pay for a subscription that is a subset of the one I already have?

    Hello,
I purchased a subscription to skype premium but am still being charged for calls I make to a US mobiles.  Why?  I am currently living in France, does this make a difference?  I assumed Skype premium allowed free calls to US land lines and mobiles.

    Hi,
Skype Premium bundle with Unlimited US & Canada is offered only to US and Canada customers at the moment.
If you are located in France then you will only get Skype Premium, which doesn't include Unlimited US&Canada, therefore calls are charged from your Skype balance.
Skype Premium alone enables you to make group video calls https://support.skype.com/en-us/faq/FA10868/What-is-Skype-Premium

    Hello,
According to your account you have a Skype Premium Subscriprion which was initiated on Dec 9th 2011 and has a recurring monthly charge. This may be an error which I am checking for you.

  • SKYPE PREMIUM CHARGES WHEN CALLING MOBILES

    Hi,
I have skype premium with unlimited calls to mobiles and landlines phones to France.
However, I am still getting charged when calling cellphones (I am getting charged on my skype credit)
Here is my skype name: jonathan.quirin1
You guys claim that by getting skype premium I have unlimited calls (mobile and landlines) toward any of the country in the list.
Why am I still getting charged?

I have a same account from Canada to hungary and I get charged connection fee.
I know that wont help your problem but??
I wish there was a better help online from Skype.
    regards
    Sam
If Hungary is your selected country for telephone calling with Skype Premium, the subscription only covers calling to landline phones.  Click on "Skype Premium" below and then expand the list of countries you can choose from when calling telephones.  Only 4 countries have calling for both landline and mobile phones covered (USA, Canada, Hong Kong, Singapore).
You would need to either purchase Skype Credit or a country-specific subscription that also covers calling to mobile phones in that case (click on "Subscriptions" below to see the options for Hungary, or other countries).  When using Skype Credit to pay for calls to telephones, there is a connection fee charged per call along with the per-minute rate.  This is detailed on the "Pay As You Go" link below.

  • Skype Premium mobile call charges

I can't find anywhere in the details where skype says that if you subscribe to premium UK then mobile calls in the UK are also free and unlimited.
Has anyone experience of this or can answer?
    Thanks.

Unfortunately Skype Premium doesn't include mobile numbers in UK.
Please go to Skype Premium website here:
    http://www.skype.com/intl/en-gb/prices/premium/
    There's a link Select a country
When you click on it then it should open list of countries which you can choose and what it includes.
If you wish to call UK mobiles then you need a subscription from:
    http://www.skype.com/intl/en/prices/pay-monthly/#GB
    From Landlines and Mobiles tab
    I hope this helps

Hi my wife using skype premium yearly subscription to call India. It will expire jan 2015. On current list of countries to call unlimited on premium subscription does not include India. If I renew her subscription before jan 2015 will she still can make unlimited calls to India.

Hello and welcome to the Skype Community!
    Subscriptions aren't refundable
Your account shows that your Subscription is monthly. If you cancel it you won't have the recurring charge applied at the end of your monthly billing cycle.

  • I want to but cannot cancel Skype Premium

I have waded through the maze of screens telling me how to cancel Skype premium.
I cannot delete my payment method as Skype Premium has to be cancelled first.
I cannot go into subscription settings as there is no settings option as described in the how to.
I cannot open chat support, no matter how many browsers I try.
I do not use premium, I do not want it and I find it quite ludicrous that there is no simple way to cancel it or contact support.
I see all the other topics saying the same thing but no solution.
Please can someone help! I don't care about a refind. i just don't want to be debited for yet another year for somehting that I don't use and that I now read has no purpose as the only feature which was desirable is now free.

I am in the exact same situation. I have spent a lot of time on a loop of links that bring me back to the same useless pages. All I want to do is cancel my Skype Premium before it charges me again. You posted over a month ago and I see no one has offered you a solution. Is there no way to contact a customer service rep to deal with this?

  • Changes to Skype Premium for existing users

I'm confused about what my former Skype Premium package now includes following an email from Skype. I had noticed that from 1st May I was no longer getting free calls to Canada as was previously the case but the latest communication from Skype isn't clear. It states:
"Group video calling is now free. But as a big thanks for being a Premium subscriber, we're giving you calling to countries around the world at no extra cost. That means you'll get all the perks of Premium, plus unlimited1 calls to phones in over 60 countries/regions — all for the same rate you're paying now."
So does that mean I get free calls to the 60 countries listed or not? I'm primarily interested in free or low cost calls to Canada and if these aren't on offer what benefits am I getting from the new Premium?

I've now had another email from Skype which tells me I have subscribed to a new package and upon checking it is unlimited world calling, so that seems to clarify matters, although I was still charged for calls earlier in May...

  • Those PREMIUM MESSAGING charges

I originally posted this suggestion under an older post and the original poster to the thread suggested that I move the message up to a current discussion.  Just an FYI Premium Messaging charges are alive and well and being added to your Verizon bills whether you have approved them or not.  The Verizon rep that I talked to was a great person - very polite and helpful within what he was capable of doing........ however I feel that charges from known "scam" sites be at least be questioned by Verizon or:
I suggest that Verizon require a valid contact phone number posted with any company posting charges to our Verizon phone bills.  At least there would be a contact number available without the Verizon user having to do the "detective work" and go after people using Verizon to scam Verizon subscribers.  We had a Premium Messaging charge appear mysteriously at the same time a phone was upgraded so therefore apps etc were upgraded on that phone.  Since a Smartphone had been added, the extra charge was not as evident since I knew that there would be an additional charge on our bill.  We did not agree to anything being added to our bill from this site nor did we use any of their services.
In our case, the charge was for RingtonesEverywhere,  Verizon would only take off the current month's charge and not the charges back to October so it's up to the Verizon customer to do the dirty work and go after fraudulent charges added to the monthly Verizon bill.  I trusted Verizon up to this point but will go through my bill monthly - my bad for being a trusting Verizon customer.  Never again!
I will be taking a good hard look at other cell phone providers in the area when our contract comes up for renewal if Verizon doesn't come up with better methods of protecting it's customers from fraudulant charges being added onto the monthly bill.

If you had reviewed your bill each month, you would have caught it in the first month. Then you could have requested the charge be removed and future premium messages blocked for all lines. For it to have been on your bill in the first place, someone on your account had to give the number for something thinking that they were going to get a free ringtone or filled out a survey.
I had a premium message years ago and was charged for it. I called right away and got the charges reversed. I also was instructed how to block such messages through MyVerizon account online. I never had another message for the life of that account. When I started my current account with Verizon Wireless, I created a new MyVerizon account as soon as possible. The next account management items I took care of was to block those same premium messages and messages from the Web. After almost two years with that account, the blocks are still in place and I haven't been charged once for a premium message.

  • Skype Premium with Unlimited World

I have a Skype Premium account with Unlimited World.
I received an email like many others detailing the changes to Skype Premium, and that I would continue to receive my Unlimited World subscription.
However since receiving that email, I have no Unlimited World subscription listed in my account, and I am not able to make calls.
A chat with online support said they were aware of the issue and were rolling it out to users accounts in phases to prevent "server crashes and overloads".
    True or not?
I am also due to be billed on my account for £7.46 on December 25th, but apparently Skypes billing cycle is 8 months and I won't actually be changed anything.
    Again, true or not?

Same here.  I was paying/subscribing an unlimited country previously.  I received the free upgrade to Unlimited World as well.  But right now, I can't even make phone calls to the numbers in my previous unlimited country.  I got 'insufficient credit'.  message.
This is what I get when I checked my Purchase History...
Anybody knows what I should do?
And, is there a way to 'talk' to Skype support via online?
    Thanks.....

  • Premium Messaging Charge / Blocking

Last month, my bill was roughly $10 higher than normal. As I reviewed my bill, I found a premium messaging charge for $9.99 for some Quiz4Now thing. Knowing that I would never sign up for anything like that, I called Verizon who was to put a block on Premium Messaging and I contacted Quiz4Now for stop that service. Fast forward to this month's bill and I have the same charge show up for the same thing.
I am assuming that the block is in effect, but this charge already occured at the beginning of my cycle and I wasn't able to stop the scam subscription in time but I am concerned that I will never be able to know that Verizon has actually put a Premium Message block on my service.
How can I know for sure?

Then call Verizon and have the charge expunged.
We signed up for communications services not payment gateway services.
We need to tell Verizon that this is unacceptable. There are a bunch of scam artists extorting the loophole that never should have been there in the first place.
Of the over 70 million smartphone users in the US how many have said exactly what you said, THANK YOU when told they could block the hole?
The hole should never have been there to begin with.

  • XPS 13 with Skype Premium 1 Year Free

I just bought an DELL XPS 13 Ultrabook and I'm trying to subscribe my 1 year free of Skype Premium. How can I do it?
    Regards,

Your battery would slowly drain during any period of disuse even if it were removed from the computer and nothing were connected to it at all. A fundamental property of every battery is that whenever it isn't being charged, it's draining. If your compputer is shut down entirely, expect the battery to lose 0.5-1% per 24 hours without AC power connected. When it's sleeping, it will lose closer to 1% per hour. In either situation, leaving the AC adapter plugged in will prevent the battery from draining more than 5-7% in total before it starts to charge back up again.
