Hi,
Are there links that a company can gather that takes them to their skype profile pages, they want to add a link in their email signatures that takes them to their profiles.
Where can you seach for skype users, and get that link to add it to a e-mail signature - and is that possible?

Yes, there is a directory: click on Contacts -> Add a Contact, enter a few letters, and you will soon see many choices. If you have not "locked down" your account's privacy settings to accept instant messages and calls from people on your contact list only, you will soon find yourself besieged with contact requests.
Unfortunately, even once you adjust your privacy settings, you may still find your account has been "found" by all manner of "people" whom you would probably not wish to meet.

Skype home page on MAC

My Skype home page does not show "Contacts", "Recent", "Call Phones" and "Profile". How do I change it to have it?

I open my email from frontiernet (a local provider) I can read the email but when I go to reply or forward I get a Skype help page then a blank page. Therefore I can't reply or forward email.

I log-in to webmail. frontier.com and go to my inbox. I have no trouble reading my email but I cannot reply or forward. When I try to do either I get a screen that first has a Skype help page then goes blank. It says done on the bottom but there is no reply box to type in. I've never had this problem before and I've been doing this for almost 2 years on may computers. The only thing different is I had some work done and had to re-install Firefox. Could a newer version cause the problem? I do not have this problem when I use IE or am on a different computer.This was happening even before I installed Skype.

Disable the Skype extension for Firefox - both versions if you really have two versions installed.

Edit User Profile How do I enalble user lo loggin to their own profile page and edit it?

I am having some problems....... any help would be nice
I am using DWCS3 and ADDT toolbox extension wamp and phpmyadmin
I am trying to create a site for people to be able to post a profile with a picture and info and display it in a dynamic table.
I can create the form, a database and display the data on another page in a dynamic table all ok..... kind of.
I can create a user registration system with ADDT.
I can redirect them after registration to a post profile page, which has a form to upload details. I can then display those details on a user info page.
I would like to allow logged in users to be able to click on a link to their own profile page , which would show the same form that was filled out in the post profile page, but would be already populated with their previously entered information. I would like users to be able to edit the content of the form and update the information in the database and automatically delete delete any previously entered information ( only in the fields that have been edited)
How do I go about doing this?.... step by step?
I want to allow logged in user to view their own profile not every bodies.... how do I do that?
I have read on another post that to do something similar to this I should filter my database information using a session varialble MM_username that I think is created automatically after user logs in .... but I don;t know how to do this.... I really don;t understand is this the way I link my user to a page that only displays their info ? or is there another way?
I would also like to allow only people who have posted a profile to be able to edit profile ...... do I do that by
1. new user registers and is redirected to login page
2. user logs in and is redirected to an index page that has a post profile button and a edit profile button but only the POST button is active ( and links to a form to post info ) and the edit profile button is linked to a " You must post a profile first" page ( with a link back)
3 so user posts profile and is directed to an index page which has an edit profile button which is now linked to an edit profile page
Does that sound correct?
Any suggestions in getting all this to work would be much appreciated

I have created the users page which submits to a members page and tell the user to edit biodata, profession, and hobbies. but on clicking I am really confused on how the id will be transfered from the members page to update biodata and the user updates the form which will show past records. this should also apply to the profession and hobbies
If I understand this right, you might want to consider providing a complete "userdata" section which comes with a Dynamic List and a Dynamic Form to have users add & update their data plus (via the Dynamic List) track all past records
Lastly is it possible I create recordset at will and the id will be passed thru since kt-login-id behaves sololy
I really can´t recommend this "pass user_id as URL variable" approach in this case, as URL variables are displayed in the browser´s address bar -- and this is absolutely insecure, because anyone could simply change the displayed "user_id" value, reload the form and hence edit data which belongs to a different user.
The only secure method is indeed to use ADDT´s session variable kt_login_id

While trying to Configure External Content Type Profile Page in Central Administration, I get this error:

Blurry Skype Profile Picture

I've yet to see any legitimate fixes for this. With this new client I'm now forced to use, I seem to be expericing this bug/issue. When I encountered this in the past, I just downgraded a version and waited until a newer version came out that I didn't experience this issue with.
Now that Skype is forcing people to use this one specific version (and future newer ones), I'm at a loss that this bug is still not properly fixed.
Also any responses about the image resolution, image quality, image file extention - no. I've always had a HQ Skype profile image, I'm not trying to upload a picture from a potato that's 60x60. It's not a stretching issue, it's not a resolution issue, it's a Skype issue. I've never had this problem before and I've always had perfectly HQ images as my profile picture, when I rarely did have these issues, it was the versions fault after I upgraded - not mine. Upgrading past that version or below that version gave me crystal clear profile pictures again and I never changed what I was doing or how I got them to be HQ.
Now that I'm being forced to use this new version, I'd like to know if there are any fixes for this issue or are people who also have this issue (and have had it for awhile now - a simple google search will show you how far back this issue has occured) have to endure this until a new version comes out that hopefully does not carry on with the said bug?
I've tried uploading the image at full resolution, smaller resolution, and from my phone. Since I'm no longer able to use portable Skype apps that are lower than the newest version, I'm unable to utilize that fix. I saw someone say uploading it from an iPhone works - I do not have an iPhone. There was another solution about not using Windows 8 Desktop version - I use Windows 7 therefore I am unable to utilize that fix either.
Has anyone found a work around for this? A fix? Anything?

Okay, this is just pure annoying. I have a professional group on Skype, because most are used to Skype over Google Hangouts. I've had this group for a very long time. Over the years, we've upgraded the logo, and each time, we've made a Group Profile logo in Adobe Illustrator, as a high DPI Vector image.
Well, for the past like year, our logo, no matter what resolution it's in (96X96), (480X480), hell the full on 1920X1920, and all variants I can think of between still leaves the image blurry. I've even created a pure black and white version of the logo, to see if color support was the cause. It's still blurry. I've uploaded from one of our Mac's (OSX 10.7), Windows 7 Pro, Windows 8.1 Pro, Windows XP Pro, Android (Moto X Gen 1), iPHone 6 Plus (latest OS), and it's STILL BLURRY.
This is a seriously high quality logo, yet Skype makes it garbage for all of the professionals in my Group to see. No matter how I crop it, change it, upload it and from where, it's still frigging Blurry.
So as long as I use Skype, my brand will always look like retro-grade Windows 98 First Edition trash. Thank you Microsoft for never fixing this. I really appreciate the aggravation.
I've attached a sample logo (that isn't of my brand, or of my brands purpose). This sample is JPG that I just tried, as I was thinking maybe changing the image to something completely pointless may stop it from being blurry. It's still blurry. It's not any particular resolution, it's just a simple image to push home the point. It looks higher quality when full size, but in Skype, it looks like this:

Facebook sites and profile pages not loading properly. Updated Adobe Flash and Javascript installed. Firefox allowed through firewall. Disabled facebook plugin as throught this would fix it but it didnt. Have windows 7 32 bit laptop

Have tried all of the above but facebook home page working fine but other peoples pages and my profile page is all skewed. Most of it is on the left hand side of the page and script all over the place.

Please fix Skype Credit page - it does NOT load pr...

I cannot get the Skype Credit page to load on many of my personal computers (4 to be exact) and also seen this problem on some friends' computers too. I get a page with a "Loading" text and a blue dot above it. That is all.
What I've tried:
- Latest browsers (Chromium, Firefox, Opera)
- Latest Adobe Flash version
- older browsers (FF 3.6, FF 24, Opera 10/11, and IE
The results are consistent across these and the Skype Credit page simply refuses to load/display. All of my personal computers are virus and malware free. In fact, I recently did a fresh Windows 7 install on one of them, and tested the Skype Credit page right after that only to find it didn't work.
Is there some special requirement for that page? Java? Security settings?
Honestly, this is very frustrating! I have never had such problems with any other website before. And if a certain website didn't display properly for me in one browser, I never had problems getting it to work in a different browser.
I should note that *most* other Skype pages work (though not all of them). In any case, I really can't be bothered to go checking each one for you all. All I want to do is Log In so I can Buy some stupid Skype Credit.
Please give me some suggestions on what to do or how to go about this.

Hi, sorry it took me so long to reply. I finally had some time to troubleshoot the issue, and fortunately I found what was wrong .
But first, I must say that I am deeply ashamed, and I apologize to for coming here and blaming Skype, because it turns out the fault is completely mine. The problem was that a while back, a tech buddy of mine sent me his Windows "hosts" files (the hosts file allows a simple way to block unwanted and dangerous websites, as well as advertisements from loading on your computer). Most of the time, I do pay attention when I compile my hosts file, but this time I assumed my buddy's list of blocked websites was reasonable.
Turns out, he had the following entries in there (without the quotation marks):
"skypeassets.com"
"secure.skypeassets.com"
That means, any web page that needed to access these was blocked from loading. As a result, this is what broke the Skype Credit page.
I attached a screenshot to show what the Buy Skype Credit page looks like when it is blocked, so that way, if anyone has this issue and wonders why it's not working, check your hosts file (found in "C:\WINDOWS\System32\drivers\etc").
The Buy Skype Credit page now seems to work fine in all of my browsers (Firefox 32, Firefox 24, Opera 12/11/10, and IE8 ). I also tested IE6 just for giggles, but it gives a "Page Cannot be Displayed" error. This is very common with IE6, though. I'm just stating this in case anyone is still running that dinosaur browser (please don't, it's not safe or compatible).

Hi everyone, NEWBIE HERE. I have just been on skype idly fooling around to familiarise myself with settings and how to use it. I suddendly get a friends request from lets call her jane doe, being a suspicious person i tell her that my camera needs debugging but i dont mind chatting via sms. During the conversations she informs me that she found me from the SKYPE PROFILE DIRECTORY. Is there such a thing and how does one access it. If not howw did she find me, was itt jusst random trawling through working from a to z.

The text on the home page and profile page is the size of a pin head

the size of the text on my profile and home page is the size of a pin head. I have restored my computer to an earlier date but that did not fix it. I bumped a key with my left hand and the page shrunk to the size of a bandaid going down the center of the page. I can see the games and read my messages from game pages but cannot see a thing on the home or profile page. Please help...thanks

Something wrong with the Profile page of all users in OIM

Hi All,
I am not sure what is happening but every time I login with some user id and password in to the OIM and click on Profile for the user in the Self Service Console, I get this error thrown:
java.lang.NullPointerException
on the UI. Also in the server diagnostic logs this is the entry:

This occurs for all users. Even xelsysadm. Please help me resolve this issue. Its rather urgent. More over there is no concrete and specific error shown in the logs so i am totally confused. And this error started occurring after I had changed some attributes through the administration and then mapped these attributes to RequestDataSet through MDS. Those pages though work fine. Maybe the Profile page still has some attribute that I have deleted in administration page or something. Not sure. In fact unable to find any specific data set for the profile page in the MDS. I can only see the Request, Create User, Modify user and other such datasets. If anyone knows the data set which profile page uses, then please do reply. Any help is hugely appreciated.

Well ya it is problematic for us since no user can access his Profile page and hence has no way to see his own details in the OIM. Not even xelsysadm user. Only xelsysadm and other administrators can view other users and their own profile but that is through the Administration console and not through self service since clicking on Profile tab in self service simply throws this error. Also can you suggest some good debugger for the same?

You can make a Custom Region and then Associate to a Custom Function.
There are two function(seeded) HR_TP_EMP_MORE_LINK, HR_TP_MGR_MORE_LINK seeded function .
You can include your custom function in Parameter of above seeded Function.

Automatically create a profile page when user registers?

Hi everyone,
I am building a site along with other people and I am the main web designer. I need to know how to have my site automatically create a users profile page when the said user registers on the site. Something very similar to YouTube or MySpace. Example: If a user where to create an account with the username bob678 the site/code would automatically create and directory called examplesite.com/userid/bob678 (like I said before very similar to YouTube). I cant seem to find the answer to this anywhere but I know it is possible. Any and all help is very appreciated!
PS. I already know how to allow people to register, I just need it to create a page for them.

If you want to actually create a physical directory, then you would call your server side scripting's file system functions. FWIW, many of the site's you've seen probably do not use physical directories. In many cases, the data is saved in a database and the server uses the rewrite engine to make the location more human readable.
