  • Help me urgently please, impossible to open my Mac book air, sometimes he refuse my login, sometimes he goes further but the screen is never uploaded completely, he goes off before, and he take hours for all that, till than he have been perfect...

I'm having problems to open my Mac, sometimes he refuse my login several times, when I insist he start, very slowly but he never gets to the final, he doesn't upload the screen completely, can you help me? thank you

BTW (speaking as a Dad of 3 daughters in Grad school) if you don't already have and use a DropBox account, or some other similar online "cloud" based backup of your school documents, you should start doing so immediately. By keeping all of your important documents in the Dropbox folder on your computer, you have instant access to them from any other computer (or iPad), should you be w/o your computer while in for repairs (or if, God forbid, it is stolen). It's free for 2 GB of online storage, which is more than enough for a few years worth of Word documents, etc. (If you get other people to sign up via your email "invitation", then Dropbox gives you even more free storage space.) Every time you close a document, it is updated on the Dropbox servers (encrypted), if it is in the Dropbox folder (assuming you give it a few seconds to update before turning off your computer). Do a google search of "Cloud based storage comparisons" to compare the amount of free space each of the competing services give you.

  • Skype Crashing on Login

Skype crashes upon login and I get a "Skype has stopped working." message. It started after my Win7 computer got a BSOD while skyping someone. First time I uninstalled Skype and reinstalled which got it working. The second time trying to open it though the error came back and uninstalling/reinstalling is not working. I have uninstalled, deleted the Skype appdata folder, removed all of the Skype registry keys, restarted, then reinstalled only to get the same error. Below is the error message I keep getting in the Event Viewer. Have spent several hours researching this and trying to fix it with no success. Faulting application name: Skype.exe, version: 7.7.0.102, time stamp: 0x55aa57aa

I am having an issue where Skype is crashing everytime I attempt to sign on. I have tried the  sfc /scannnow with no avail. I have also checked and it is not getting stopped by a firewall and there are no temp profiles ect. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Now, if I uninstall alsa-lib, look at the output:
    [vot@Arch ~]$ skype
    Yes, it works!
Any ideas? I tried setting myself to busy and disabling sound notifications, but it didn't work.

Errors in these entries may cause poor network performance and/or certain programs to open very slowly, or not work at all.
Edit: If it still doesn't work, I'm bailing out on this one. Sorry. Skype was bought by Microsoft and I stopped using it.
Maybe check out the Skype wiki page?

  • How come SKYPE refuses to re-assign/refund Credit....

It is Amazing that Skype Refuses to re-assign credit from accounts in a Skype Manager. Honestly, I don't care who is at fault. Your online software or at the very least your back-end admin user interface should allow it and it must, because if we case a Credit card charge-back, you will limit our account and I dare say remove the Credit on the Account. So Why not help us re-assign the wrongly assigned credit back to the Skype Manager, where it can be used. And before you tell, "But your account credit is NOT lost". The account in Question is NEVER used. Only used for Skype Manager Access. So Yes the Credit IS LOST and why tell us, that it cannot be done, when one of your database engineers can simply open the records in question and change it. Honestly, SKYPE you should be ashamed of your Business practice. Ivan

Hi, Monolulu5, and welcome to the Community,
Please forgive the blue type ... these are links to the information you need:
please contact Skype Customer Service to request a refund of the duplicate charges.
I can not explain why charges duplicate themselves, however that they do sometimes.
    Kind regards,
    Elaine

  • Random Domain Computers Refuse All Logins

For the past week, each morning we've had 1 user that couldn't log onto their computer. All users workstations are running Windows 8.1, and our DCs are on Server 2012 R2. Each morning one of the computers simply won't allow any login. It shows "wrong
username or password". Even if we attempt to log in with the domain administrator to the computer it gives the same error. It refuses all logins.
Checking the event log, there's nothing too out of the ordinary, no red flags or anything. This morning we had 3 computers with this error. The computers are always different. One has never repeated the bug.
Perhaps the strangest part is that if we hard reboot the system once or twice, the problem goes away, and the user can log in normally. I don't know if it could be linked to some windows update that's either in the process of installing or requires a reboot
    or something strange?
Thanks in advance for any help. I know this is kinda vague, but I'm hoping someone can start pointing me in the right direction.

    Hi,
Where does the password stored? In AD database or SAM database? According to your description, it seems like there are some problem with Password authentication. Please check the connection with AD when you trying to logon system.

There are two iMacs connected through same router in my house but one refuses to login to facebook and other logged in sites. Local techies are bemused, I have just reinstalled OSX and still have the problem. Login page recycles, I get no further and no errors reported. Safari, Opera and Firefox. Deleted cookies and chain but still no action.

If you have not already done so, read the router's user manual troubleshooting section and/or contact its customer service department/forums.
If still having problems, post back w/details of all you have tried to resolve the problems along w/the troubleshooting solutions that the "local techies" had you try.

  • Skype doesn't login on my i phone 4

Hi i needed skype for i phone4 when i was trying to download the i phone app rejected  and shows to update ios from 4.0 to update the latest one i updated to ios6.0 but still skype doesn't work. i removed the app as shown on Apple website reinstall again but still skype doesn't working.

it's unclear as to what you mean by it don't work your title seem to indicate that it can't login but your post seem to indicate that it can't launch
if the former then I would reset the password

  • Refuses to login

I am quite confused by this - I have a MacBook that refuses to allow users to Login. It boots to the User Name screen, then I select any user and key in the password, the screen goes white for a second then bounces back to the User Name screen again. The only user that can login is the Guest account. I have run the obvious things, Disk Utility etc. and also tried booting in Safe Mode but nothing works. No user can get past the User Name Screen!
    Any clues?

    All sorted now thanks

  • Not able to log onto Skype. Blank Login and Possib...

I've been reading around trying my best to find a fix to my problem. I apologize, I am not that computer savvy
I am on windows 8.1 and 64 Bit
It started off with skype not allowing me to open up the home tab to see everyone's status updates. Sending me to an IE page asking me to download something. This was the first time such has happened to me so I assumed it was a virus So I did a scan on my computer and restarted it. When skype was suppose to open. It did not. Instead it took me to a Blue page where the login would go and nothing was there. I then reinstalled skype.
From this point where I am now. Skype installs and then comes to a white screen. Then moving to a download over the white screen wanting me to download Index.html I have tried opening and saving...What happens is it takes me to IE and then the download area for IE... Everytime I try to open it creates another file asking me to save it again. That's how far I get.

Please, run Sysytem File Checker Tool (sfc /scannow).

  • Skype not remembering login info? 7.7

Seems to be recent so is anyone else having sign-in issues with Skype? Until I rebooted today it would always auto-sign in for me. Now it's complainig about not recognizing my sign-in details. Now everytime I boot or open skype its asking for me my login instead of auto loggin in like normally.

Did you tick the "Sign me in when Skype starts" option on login form? Also be sure that you close Skype using "Quit Skype", not the "Sign Out".

  • Skype refusing to Start up on Windows 8.1

For a while, Skype wasn't sending my messages, so I just closed out of it. Upon attempting to start Skype up again, this window displayed. The "starting up" animation plays, but does not go anywhere (I've sat for 30+ minutes waiting for it to start up). I tried deleting my login infromation and reinstalling Skype, but it still brings up this animation and nothing more.
I use the Desktop version of Skype on Windows 8.1, and it stopped functioning as of several hours before posting this issue.
    Thanks!

That type of problem can be resolved by doing some IE and Windows maintenance:
    Reset IE settings:
    http://support.microsoft.com/kb/923737
    Clear IE temp files:
    http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/windows-vista/delete-temporary-internet-files
    Clearing Windows temp files:
    http://www.pcworld.com/article/2143502/windows-8-1-update-tip-clean-up-that-disk-space-now.html
I would suggest rebooting and trying again after performing the above.
