    No matter what I do it shows my number as a Canadian phon number. It is a US based number. The little flag in front of the number is the Canadian flag, I change it to USA and save. I go back in and it is Canada again.

    You can change the phone number the verification code is sent to from a device or Mac that has your iCloud keychain enabled as follows:

    I have an original iPhone with the newest software. I currently use a go-phone Pay-as-you-go plan. I called AT&T customer support, and the assistant said that as long as the SIMS card is activated, I can use it on the iPhone. However, when I sync up my iPhone to iTunes to activate it, it keeps rejecting my phone number. The iPhone is unlocked and jailbroken, and whenever I input the phone number, it keeps telling me that it is unable to continue with activation. I tried my fathers number (Who has a monthly plan, not go-phone), and it went to the next step. However, I do not want to use his phone number. The number with my go-plan is activated, has an account set up, and has money and minutes put on it. I tried it on another phone and it worked. Any ideas why iTunes is rejecting the number?

    If you installed 3.0 update and were not on an "approved", active ATT iPhone plan, you are SOL.
    If you are using Pay as you go, you will no longer have service. You will need to switch to a regular iPhone with data plan.

    Hello,
    I have been a member for many years, and have pretty much always used the same phone number when accessing the myrewardzone.com and at the store to apply the purchase.  However recently, when accessing the mybestbuy website, there is a notice to enter my phone number for verification to check points.  When doing so, it says that number is not in the system.  I just went a best buy store yesterday and purchased a TV using that number and it went through fine.  
    Is there anyone who can help with this?

    If you have iCloud Keychain set up on another device, you can update your SMS number via that other device in order to verify your new device.  If you do not have another device available or you do not have an SMS capable number, you will need to contact Apple for identity verification in order to bypass that phone number authentication. See below.

    Make sure that your phone number can receive SMS messages. You can do this by asking someone to send you a text message.

  • Verizon gave my landline phone number to someone else and now can't fix the problem FOR ME

    I have a landline that is used for emergencies only in case my 7 year old son needs to be transported to the hospital for his seizures.  I tried using the phone about 3 weeks ago during some bad weather only to find out there was no dial tone.  Luckily, my cell phone woked.  I contacted Verizon who sent out a technician who found out that the problem "was on their end."  His work order showed someone else's name and address and he went to their house first before coming to mine.  They told him they didn't have a problem so he came to my address.  
    I had called my "old" number from my cell phone to see if it would ring and ended up speaking to the husband of the lady who had "my" phone number.  The tech asked them if they were willing to give up "my" number and they agreed to do so.  The tech said he would resolve this issue for me because he'd never seen anything like it before.  Maybe he and his supervisor should visit this forum and see how other customers have had the same issue.  I received two calls yesterday from a Verizon customer support rep who tried to restore my service.  She had to transfer me over to security or some department who treated me very rudely and told me to send a copy of my driver license or a copy of a bill to Verizon because they couldn't approve her order request. She had remained on the line with me.  By this point, I'm getting **bleep** because this is the 2nd time I've been transferred to that verification department and I wanted to ask "Why don't I just send a copy of "my" bill showing my name and phone number as verification?  Would that suffice?"  The cust supp rep tried to explain to her what was going on but I am still without service.  I had already verified my info last year when service was established and don't feel the need to provide this info again.  It's Verizon's mess and they should fix it. 
    I am penning my letter to the corporate headquarters today.  I even chatted online with another cust serv rep who was snarky with me until I typed that the chat session would be included with the letter to corporate.  Then she tried to be helpful. What concerns me is even if my number is established, what if it happens again during an emergency?  What about a refund that's owed me for paying for a line that was last used in June 2014 up until the present time?  I want my money back.  I have online banking records showing my payments.  I am thoroughly disappointed in Verizon.  How dare they take my money, turn off my phone, and now can't even restore it.  After I contact their corporate office, if the issue isnt resolved, I am filing a complaint with the State Attorney General's Office as well as the BBB.  I suggest that everyone else who will encounter this problem file a complaint too.

    Your issue has been escalated to a Verizon agent. Before the agent can begin assisting you, they will need to collect further information from you.

    I have been a skype user in the UK since 2009 and have a subscription to call Canadian mobiles and landlines, where I have been calling the same numbers from my skype contacts with no problems until now. When I dial, it does not connect anymore and says invalid number, and from my iphone 5 it says "That isn't a valid skype name or phone number. I have tried deleting the contact and re-adding, or dialing manullay but I get the same error. I have also tried rebooting both devices and logging back onto skype but no luck.

    I'm using Version 6.3.0.602 OSX and 4.6.306 on iOS I am using the correct format of dialing the number as I have been for the past few years. As I mentioned before, the numbers saved in my contacts have not been changed. I have also tried deleting the contacts and re-adding a new contact... On Friday I was having this problem, and it went away. And tonight I was in the middle of a call to a Canadian landline and the muted during the call. I then tried again and the number now is apparently invalid. This is quite frustrating as I am not only trying to contact family back home but also paying for a service in which I am not recieving.

    It sounds like you need to update the phone number associated with your iCloud Keychain. You should be able to update that with the steps outlined in the following article:
    Get help using iCloud Keychain
    On your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch, tap Settings > iCloud > Keychain > Advanced. (In iOS 7, tap Settings > iCloud > Account > Keychain.) Make sure the phone number under Verification Number is correct. If not, enter another phone number. 
    On your Mac, choose Apple menu > System Preferences. Click iCloud, then click Options next to Keychain. (In OS X Mavericks or earlier, click iCloud, then click Account Details.) Make sure the phone number under Verification number is correct. If not, enter another phone number.
    If you can't access a device that has iCloud Keychain enabled, contact Apple Support and verify your identity to get help setting up iCloud Keychain.

  • Will CCB support '+' sign on the Customer phone number?

    Hi All,
    In my setup, all the inbound calls are coming with '+' sign(eg., +1 23488753), and in this environment I'm using CCB application also.
    On the CCB application, if the call is with '+' on the CCB application then call is getting disconnected on the call back entry application in the ICM Script. So i have stripped '+' to get the call scheduled. And now i want to add this '+' sign at the time of scheduled call back.
    I have tried to add this '+' sign on the Callback entry application in "Add Callback to DB 1" element but on the CVP reporting server DB(Informix DB), i can see the customer phone number is getting stored without '+' sign. It seems Informix DB will not support this '+' but in the same DB i can see the ANI field format as "varchar(32)"
    Can some one please assist on adding this '+' sign on the application level(either ICM or CVP application side) itself?
    Informix DB screenshot in the attachment.. Please let me know if any application log is required for analysis.

    Not all of Skype's Online Numbers can be used as Caller ID, appearing on the displays of phones you call from Skype.  Online Numbers from a few countries (Chile, Denmark, Estonia, Hong Kong, Poland, Sweden, the UK and the US) can be used this way, where the others are not permitted to be used in this way.  If your Online Number is not from one of the countries I listed above, then the only option would be to use the two-step verification process so that a mobile number (or a landline number that can receive SMS messages) is your Caller ID number when calling from Skype.
